Overflow and Drainage
• The overflow from he ank is connec ed via a flexible ube o a ven por moun ed in ernally
of he appliance.
• The primary func ion of his fea ure is o cap ure he small amoun s of condensed s eam
produced during normal opera ion of he appliance.
• In he unlikely even of an overflow occurrence he spillage ray has a limi ed capaci y and
should no be deemed as a safeguard agains overflow.
• As an op ion he flexible ube can be removed from he lower in ernal ven and redirec ed
hrough he base o a sui able drainage sys em.
• The drainage sys em o which he flexible ube is o be connec ed mus have a con inuous fall
and have a grea er diame er han ha of he flexible ube. Al erna ively, he flexible ube can
be direc ed o a gully where no risk of con ac wi h ho wa er by persons using he building
can be considered as a means of safe drainage.
• The flexible ube mus no be connec ed direc ly o a soil sys em.
• The ube from he overflow mus remain connec ed o he overflow on he ank.
• The overflow ube mus never become blocked or res ric ed in any way.
Electricit Suppl
All appliances mus be ear hed.
The EB3 model is supplied wi h a 3 pin bonded plug and lead fi ed wi h a 13Amp fuse as
s andard. The plug is o be connec ed o a sui able mains socke . The wiring markings are as
follows: -
LIVE wire colour BROWN wi h erminal marked L
NEUTRAL wire colour BLUE wi h erminal marked N
EARTH wire colour GREEN/YELLOW wi h erminal marked E or
All appliances wi h an elec rical loading of over 3kW mus be connec ed o he supply by a
qualified elec rician in accordance wi h Heal h & Safe y a Works Ac , IEE regula ions, BS codes
of prac ice, Building S andards, Local Au hori y and Building regula ions e c. A sui able means
of disconnec ing such uni s from he supply mus be provided, having a leas 3mm con ac
separa ion a all poles.
The EB4 model should be wired o a leas a 20Amp single-phase supply via an isola ion swi ch.
The isola ion swi ch mus be so posi ioned for immedia e access in case of emergency shu down.
The EB6 model should be wired o a leas a 30Amp single phase or mul i-phase supply via an
isola ion swi ch. The isola ion swi ch mus be so posi ioned for immedia e access in case of
emergency shu down.
• To wire he EB4 and EB6 models remove he access panel a he rear of he appliance.
• Remove he TEST WIRES from he erminal block and cable gland.
• For EB6 models o be wired from a mul i-phase supply remove he LINK wire from he
erminal block.
