Thank you for purchasing the LINDY Mobile Rack. These high quality and
reliable drive modules are ideal for use with SOHO (small office, home
office) installations and feature a built in cooling fan and keylock.
•Available in black or white
•IDE and SATA versions available
•Improved airflow through the housing ensures effective cooling
•Keylock protection prevents unauthorised removal
•The inner housing is easily removed by unlocking the key and then
lifting up and pulling the handle
•NEVER remove a disk from your system whilst data transfers are
in progress. Always un-mount the volume from your system
before disconnecting the drive!

LINDY Kunststoff-Wechselrahmen sind für den SOHO-Betrieb (Small Office
& Home) geeignete Modelle in Schwarz und Weiß. Sie verfügen über ein
Schloss und einen Ventilator und dienen sowohl zum schnellen Wechsel
von Festplatten sowie um sensible Daten bei Bedarf aus dem Rechner zu
entfernen und an einem sicheren Ort zu lagern.
•Der Ventilator fördert den Luftstrom im Rahmen kühlt moderne
hochtourige Festplatten.
•Das Schloss verhindert die unberechtigte Entnahme der Festplatte.
•Um den Innenrahmen herauszunehmen, öffnen Sie das Schloss,
klappen Sie den Hebel hoch und ziehen Sie dann den Innenrahmen
heraus.
•Entnehmen Sie NIEMALS eine Festplatte aus Ihrem Rechner
während eines nicht abgeschlossenen Datentransfers! Melden
Sie immer zuerst Die Platte in Ihrem Betriebssystem ab!

Merci d’avoir acheté le kit tiroir rack mobile LINDY. Sa haute qualité et ses
tiroirs fiables sont idéals à utiliser dans des petites installations (petites
entreprises, domicile). Il offre aussi un ventilateur intégré ainsi qu’un
système de verrouillage à clef.
•Disponible en couleur noir ou blanc

•Flux d’air amélioré via l’utilisation d’un ventilateur dans le boîtier/tiroir
•Protection par clef empêche une extraction non autorisée
•Le tiroir est facilement extrait en déverrouillant par clef, puis en tirant
sur la poignée repliable
•NE JAMAIS extraire un disque de votre système pendant que les
données sont en cours de transfert. Désactivez (unmount en
anglais) le disque de votre système avant de déconnecter le
lecteur!

•Il cassetto si estrae semplicemente sbloccando la serratura e tirando
verso di sé la maniglia
•Non rimuovere MAI il cassetto se è in corso un trasferimento di
dati dall’Hard Disk installato. Occorre sempre disattivare il
volume tramite il Software del Controller prima della rimozione!

English: Installation
Remove the inner tray from the
mobile rack. Carefully slide the top
cover to the rear and install the
HDD:
SATA-Version: Slide the 3.5”
SATA HDD carefully into the SATA
backplane connector firmly.
IDE/pATA Version: Set your HDD
jumper to the MASTER position.
Connect the 40 way IDE and
power connector to your HDD.
Attach your hard disk to the inner
frame using the screws supplied.
For the SATA models check that
the hard disk is properly attached
to the backplane. If it needs to be
readjusted unlock and tighten the
screws once again. Reinstall the
top cover.
Mount the outer frame to a free
5.25” bay of your system and
connect the data and power
cables. Your system is now ready
for operation!
The airflow direction can be
changed according to your
requirement by rotating the fan by
180°.

Deutsch: Installation
Nehmen Sie den Innenrahmen aus dem Wechselrahmen
heraus. Schieben Sie den oberen Gehäusedeckel nach
hinten ab und bauen Sie die Festplatte ein:
SATA-Version: Schieben Sie die SATA Platte vorsichtig auf
die SATA Backplaneanschlüsse des Innenrahmens.
IDE/pATA-Version: Setzen Sie den Jumper Ihrer Festplatte
auf MASTER-Position. Schließen Sie das 40-polige Daten-
kabel und das 4-polige Stromkabel an die Festplatte an.
Befestigen Sie die Festplatte mit den beiliegenden
Schrauben im Innenrahmen. Achten Sie darauf, dass die
SATA Festplatte korrekt auf dem Backplanstecker sitzt,
lösen Sie gegebenenfalls die Schrauben und drücken Sie
die Platte leicht nach hinten um sie dann wieder festzu-
schrauben. Schieben Sie den Deckel des Innenrahmens
wieder auf.
Befestigen Sie den Außenrahmen in einem freien 5,25“
Schacht Ihres Systems und schließen Sie Datenkabel und
Stromversorgung an.
Nachdem Sie den Innenrahmen eingeschoben haben ist Ihr
System einsatzbereit.
Die Richtung des Luftstroms des Ventilators kann durch um
180°gedrehten Einbau des Ventilators im Wechselrahmen
umgekehrt werden.

FRENCH: Installation
Retirez le tiroir du kit tiroir rack. Glissez le dessus du boîtier
vers l’arrière, avec précaution et installez le disque dur:
Version SATA: glissez avec précaution le disque dur 3.5”
dans le tiroir et connectez le fixez fermement à la prise
SATA.
Montez la baie d’accueil dans une baie libre 5.25” de votre
PC et connectez les câbles d’alimentation et de données.
A présent, votre système est prêt à être utilisé!
La direction du flux d’air peut être changée selon vos désirs
en pivotant le ventilateur sur 180°.
Version IDE/ATA: mettez le cavalier de votre disque dur en
position MASTER. Connectez à votre disque dur: la prise
IDE 40 pins et celle d’alimentation.
Fixez votre disque dur au boîtier en utilisant les vis fournies.
Pour les modèles SATA, vérifiez que le disque dur est
correctement connecté au tiroir/backplane. Si nécessaire,
resserrez les vis et remettez le dessus du boîtier.

ITALIANO: Installazione
Estrarre il cassetto dal Mobile Rack. Rimuovere la cover del
cassetto dal retro e installare l’HDD:
Versione SATA: inserire l’HDD SATA da 3.5” all’interno del
backplane collegandolo al connettore SATA.
Versione IDE/pATA: posizionare il jumper dell’HDD su MASTER.
Collegare i connettori IDE 40 poli e l’alimentazione.
Fissare l’Hard Disk al frame interno utilizzando le viti incluse nella
fornitura. Per le versioni SATA controllare che l’Hard Disk sia ben
fissato al backplane. Qualora necessitasse di essere risistemato,
aprire il cassetto e stringere ulteriormente le viti. Reinstallare la
cover.
Montare il frame esterno in uno Slot da 5.25” libero e collegare i
cavi per il trasferimento dati e d’alimentazione.
L’installazione è completata!
E’ possibile ruotare la direzione della ventola fino a 180°.
