GENERAL INFORMATION
This guide is intended to assist users on safe and efficient operation of the product
for measuring blood pressure and pulse rate digital LD, perfomance LD1 (hereinafter:
PRODUCT). The product should be used in accordance with the rules laid down in
this guide, and should not be used for purposes other than those described here. It
is important to read and understand the entire leadership and especially the section
"Recommendations for the correct measurement".
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Product is designed to measure the systolic and diastolic blood pressure and heart
rate determination in patients aged over 15 years. The product is recommended for
use patients with unstable blood pressure, or hypertension, known at home as a sup-
plement to medical surveillance. Cuff suitable for forearm of length with a circumfer-
ence of about 25 to 36 cm. Blood pressure is measured in the range of 40 to 260 mm
Hg, and pulse rate in the range from 40 to 160 beats per minute.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The product uses the oscillometris method with Fuzzy Algorithm to measure blood
pressure and heart rate. The cuff is wrapped around the forearm and inflated manually
with the bulber. The sensing element device detects weak pressure oscillations in the
cuff produced by expansion and contraction of the brachial artery in response to each
heart beat. The amplitude of the pressure wave is measured, converted to millimeters
of mercury and displayed as a digital value. Note that the product can not provide the
specified accuracy if it is used or stored at a temperature and humidity different than
specified in "Specifications" section of this guide. Warn of possible errors in the meas-
urement of this unit of blood pressure in patients with severe arrhythmia. Consult your
doctor about measuring blood pressure's children.
USED NEW TECHNOLOGIES LD
Fuzzy Algorithm – algorithm for processing measurement data, which
allows to take into account features of human heart, providing more accu-
rate readings.
WARNING! The use of seals, other than the supplied unit is not allowed.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE CORRECT MEASUREMENT
1. For proper measurement you need to know that blood pressure subject to sharp fluctuations
EVEN AT SHORT INTERVALS. Blood pressure depends on many factors. Usually it is lower in
summer and higher in winter.Blood pressure varies with atmospheric pressure, independent of
physical activity, emotional excitability, stress and diet.Strongly influenced by drugs taken, alco-
hol and smoking.For many patients, even the procedure for measuring the pressure in the clinic
causes reading's increase. Therefore, blood pressure measured at home is often different from
the pressure measured in the clinic.Since blood pressure rises at low temperatures, measure-
ments were made at room temperature (approximately 20 degrees).If the product is kept at low
temperature before using keep it for at least 1 hour at room temperature, otherwise the meas-

urement may be erroneous.During the day the difference in readings of healthy people may be
30-50 mm Hg systolic (top) and pressure up to 10 mm Hg diastolic (lower) pressure.
2. In cardiovascular diseases and several other diseases that require monitoring of blood
pressure measurements in the hours that are defined by your doctor REMEMBER THAT THE
DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF HYPERTENSION CAN ONLY BE DONE BASED ON
READINGS OF DOCTOR OF BLOOD PRESSURE RECEIVED BY PHYSICIAN YOURSELF.
ADMISSION OR CHANGE OF DOSAGES OF TAKEN MEDICINES MUST BE DONE ONLY

3. If such violations are as deep vascular sclerosis, weak pulse wave, as well as in patients
with severe contractions of the heart rhythm, correct measurement of blood pressure may be
difficult. IN THESE CASE, GET ADVICE ON THE US OF ELECTRONIC PRODUCT FROM
THE PHYSICIAN.
4. TO GET THE RIGH INDICATIONS OF YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE, MUST KEEP QUITE
DURING MEASUREMENT, WHEN YOU USE LECTRONIC PRODUCT. Blood pressure should be
carried out in a relaxed comfortable environment at room temperature. An hour before the meas-
uremnet it is necesary to exclude meal, for 1.5-2 hours, smoking, soft drinks and alcohol.
5. The accuracy of the measurement of blood pressure
depends on compliance of the cuff of the product with
size of your hand. CUFF SHOULD NOT BE SMALL OR
LARGE.
6. Repeated measurements are taken at intervals of 3
minutes to restore blood circulation. However, persons
suffering from severe atherosclerosis, due to a significant
loss of elasticity of blood vessels required more time
between measurements (10-15 minutes).
This also applies to patients, long-term diabetes. For
more accurate determination of blood pressure is series
of 3 consecutive measurements and calculations use
the average value of last 3 measurements.

INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
1. Open the cover of the battery and insert a AAA
element, as shown in the diagram located inside
the compartment. Make sure that the polarity
is observed. Do not use excessive force when
removing the battery cover .
2. Close the battery cover.
Replace the battery when the display continuously displays battery change
indicator “ ”, or on the display there is no indication. The indicator of the battery
change does not show the extent of the discharge.
It is recommended to use alkaline batteries.
Do not use batteries second hand.
When not used for a long time - remove the battery from the product.
Do not leave the spent battery in the device.
CORRECT MEASURING POSTURE
1. Sit at the table so that at the time of measuring blood
pressure your hand rested on its surface. Make sure that
the imposition of a place cuff on arm is approximately at
the same height as the heart, and that the forearm freely
lies on a table and not move.
2. You can measure the pressure and lying on your back.
Look at the ceiling, stay calm and do not move during the
measurement. Be sure to check that the measuring point
on the forearm is at about the same level as the heart.
WRAPPING THE CUFF
1. Insert cuff edge about 5 cm in a metal ring, as shown
in the figure.

2. Place the cuff of the left arm, and the tubes must be
directed towards palm. If the measurement is difficult on
the left hand , then you can measure on the right hand. In
this case, it must be remembered that the readings can
differ by 5-10 mm Hg. of Art.
3. Wrap the cuff around your arm so that the bottom edge
of the cuff is at a distance of 2-3 cm from the elbow. A
label with the inscription «ARTERY» must be over the
artery of your arm
4. Fasten the cuff, so that it tightly fits the arm but do not
pull it. Too close, or, conversely, too loose overlay cuff
can lead to inaccurate readings.
5. When the cuff is fastened, the label «INDEX» should
specify the area «NORMAL (25-36 cm)». This means
that the cuff is chosen correctly and matches the size of
arm circumference. If the label indicates the area labeled
« » so it means a small cuff and the readings are too
high. If the label indicates the region
«», it means the
large cuff and readings will be too low.
6. If the hand has the expressed conicity, it is
recommended to put the cuff on a spiral, as shown in the
figure.
7. If you roll up the sleeve of clothing and at the same
time squeeze the arm, preventing the flow of blood, the
readings may not match your blood pressure.
PROCEDURE FOR MEASUREMENT
Before the measurements take 3-5 deep breaths and relax. Do not move, talk and do
not strain your arm during the measurement.
1.Touch and hold the O/I key about 1 sec.
2.The display will briefly highlight all the symbols (Fig. 1). Then the screen shows

"0" and flashes " " symbol, it means that the product is ready for
measurement (Fig. 2).
3.Inflate the cuff by pressing the bulb to the pressure that is 30-40 mm
Hg. of Art. above your expected systolic pressure (top) pressure.
Pressure value in the cuff is continuously displayed on the screen.
NOT TO ESCALATE THE CUFF PRESSURE GREATER THAN 300 MM
RT. ST. AS THIS YOU EXCEED MAXIMUM LIMIT OF MEASUREMENT
OF PRODUCT.
4. Upon reaching the required pressure in the cuff stop inflating and gently
place the bulb on the table.
5. The pressure in the cuff will automatically decrease, and the screen will
appear the symbol " " .
6.If, during the pressure deflating appeared " " symbol,it means that
the cuff was not inflated to the proper level. Inflate the cuff to 30-40
mmHg above the previous value, otherwise the measurement will not
happen
7. Measurement of pressure continues all the time when symbol " " flashes. Try to stay
still and not move arm during the measurement.
IN CASE OF SYMBOLS « » ON THE SCREEN, STOP THE MEASUREMENT AND COMPLETELY
DEFLATE THE CUFF PUSHING ON VALVE EXHAUST. REMOVE CUFF AND GIVE RELAX YOUR
ARM. REPEATE THE MEASUREMENT, WHILE FULLY RESPECTING THIS MANUAL
8.At the end of the measurement the readings of your pressure and pulse will be
displayed on the display , and begins to flash sumbols " ".
9. Relief the rest pressure in the cuff by pressing the valve exhaust. The display shows
the symbol " ".
10. For repeated measurements just begin to inflate the cuff again.
11. To turn the product off, touch O/I key.
TO OBTAIN ACCURATE RESULTS IT IS NECESSARY A BREAK BETWEEN THE
MEASUREMENTS IN ORDER TO RESTORE BLOOD CIRCULATION. THEREFORE, NOT
REPEATE MEAUSUREMENTS EARLIER THAN IN 3 MIN.
If the power is not switched off and the product is not used within 3 minutes, it switches
off automatically.
MEMORY FUNCTION
1. The result of each measurement (blood pressure and heart rate) is
automatically stored in the memory of the unit.
MEASUREMENT RESULT WILL NOT BE SAVED IF THERE WAS AN ERROR
NOTIFICATION.
2. The memory device can be stored up to 90 measurements and
average the last 3 results. When the number of measurements

exceeds 90, the oldest data is automatically replaced with the data of
the later measurements.
3. To view the contents of the memory unit to switch the O/I, and then
touch the key M. The first time you touch M on the screen will average the
last three readings stored in memory with the letter "A" (Fig. 3). When you
touch M on the screen briefly displays the index "1" (memory location),
then the result will be the last measurement (Fig. 4). Each subsequent
time you touch the key M index number of the cell memory will increase
by one and then displays the display contents of the specified memory
location. If the product is turned on by touching M but there is no on the
display then the memory is empty.
PURIFICATION THE INSTRUMENT'S MEMORY
To delete from memory all stored measurement results to include unit
by touching O/I, touch the key M and hold it more than 5 seconds. The
display will show the symbols "Clr" and will clean the entire memory
product (Fig. 5).

CARE, STORAGE, REPAIR AND RECYCLING
1. This appliance must be protected from excessive moisture, direct sunlight, shock and

2. Do not store or use the device in close proximity to heaters and open flames.
3. If the product is not used for a long time, remove the battery from the unit. The flow of
electrolyte from batteries can cause product's damage. KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF
CHILDREN!
4. Do not pollute the unit and keep it dust. For cleaning, you can use a soft, dry cloth.
5. Do not let the unit and its parts with water, solvents, alcohol, gasoline.
6. Keep the cuff, bulb and the tubes from sharp objects.
7. Do not expose the unit to strong shocks and do not drop it.
8. If you need to repair only in specialized organizations.
9. On the expiry of the period of service should periodically consult specialists (specialized
repair organizations) to check the technical condition of the unit.
10.When disposing guided by the rules in your area. Special conditions for the disposal of this
product is not established by the manufacturer.
11.The cuff is resistant to multiple sanitization. Processing is permitted inside the tissue covering
the cuff (in contact with the patient's arm) with a cotton swab dipped in 3% hydrogen peroxide
solution. With prolonged use, may be a partial bleaching of textiles to the cuff. Do not wash the
cuff , as well as treatment with a hot iron.

INFORMATION FOR VERIFICATION OFFICERS
Initial checking of the unit was made by calibration laboratory Shanghai Little Doctor
Electronic Co., Ltd., China on the basis of the decision on the recognition of the Federal
Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology of Russia (Rostechregulirovanie).
Stamp of the passage of the primary calibration is applied to the housing. Periodic
calibration is carried out by the metrological accredited in accordance with established
procedure in accordance with the Recommendations on metrology R 50.2.032-2004
"GSI. Gauges non-invasive blood pressure. Verification procedure".
For verification the unit must be disconnected from the cuff and connect it to a facility
for verification. Switch the unit on. After the appearance of "0" to make unit calibration

WARRANTY AND SERVICES
Little Doctor warrants the product for one year from the date of purchase for functionality and
accuracy without charging cost for inspection, adjustment, repair and labour. Evidence of date
of purchase is required for warranty.
However, this warranty do not cover defects resulting from,
• damage caused by wear or misuse,
• damage caused by unauthorized repair or modification or
• damage caused by natural disaster, violent action or war.
Purchaser shall bare transport or shipping related costs.
Little Doctor is not liable for any consequential damages caused by LD1, direct or indirect,

INFORMACJE OGÓLNE
Instrukcja ma na celu pomóc użytkownikowi w bezpieczny i wydajny sposób
korzystaćz urządzenia. Ciśnieniomierz powinien byćużywany zgodnie z
zasadami przedstawionymi w poniższej instrukcji. Ważne jest zapoznanie sięz
poniższym dokumentem, zwłaszcza z zaleceniami dotyczącymi wykonywania
pomiaru.
WSKAZANIA DO STOSOWANIA
Urządzenie przeznaczone jest do pomiaru ciśnienia tętniczego skurczowego
i rozkurczowego krwi oraz tętna u pacjentów powyżej 15 roku życia.
Ciśnieniomierz zalecany jest dla pacjentów z niestabilnym ciśnieniem tętniczym
krwi, nadciśnieniem tętniczym. Urządzenie jest przeznaczone do użytku
zarówno szpitalnego jak i domowego. Mankiet dostosowany jest do ramion o
obwodzie 25-36 cm. Ciśnienie mierzone jest w przedziale 40-260 mmHg, a
tętno w przedziale od 40 do 160 uderzeńna minutę.
ZASADA DZIAŁANIA
Urządzenie wykorzystuje oscylometrycznąmetodępomiaru ciśnienia tętniczego
krwi przy zastosowaniu funkcji Fuzzy Algorithm. Czujnik wychwytuje delikatne
wahania zmiany ciśnienia w mankiecie. Mierzona amplituda fal ciśnienia

Należy pamiętać, aby urządzenie wyświetlało prawidłowe wyniki musi

INFORMACJE NA TEMAT CIŚNIENIA
1. Ciśnienie tętnicze nie jest wartościąstałą, podlega silnym wahaniom w krótkim
okresie czasu. Wartość ciśnienia tętniczego krwi zależy od wielu czynników.
Zwykle jest ona niższa w okresie letnim i wyższa w okresie zimowym. Ciśnienie
krwi zależy od ciśnienia atmosferycznego, wysiłku fizycznego, pobudliwości,
stresu, diety. Duży wpływ mająużywki, narkotyki, alkohol i palenie tytoniu. Z
uwagi na fakt, że ciśnienie w niskiej temperaturze jest podwyższone, należy je
mierzyćw temperaturze pokojowej (około 20°C). W przypadku, gdy urządzenie

tętniczego krwi zaleca sięna podstawie dokonania 3 pomiarów i wyciągnięcia
średniej z uzyskanych wyników.
WKŁADANIE/WYMIANA BATERII
1. Otwórz pokrywęi włóż1 bateriętypu AAA, jak
pokazano na rysunku, znajdującym sięwewnątrz
komory. Upewnij się, że zachowana jest
biegunowość. Nie stosuj nadmiernej siły podczas
otwierania pokrywy baterii.
2. Zamknij pokrywękomory baterii.
Należy wymienićbaterię, gdy na wyświetlaczu w sposób ciągły świeci się
wskaźnik wymiany baterii “ ”, lub wyświetlacz sięnie włącza. Wskaźnik

PRAWIDŁOWA POZYCJA W TRAKCIE POMIARU

3. Wsuńmankiet tak, aby jego dolna krawędźbyła w
odległości 2-3 cm od łokcia. Rurka i napis ARTERY
(TĘTNICA) powinny byćpo stronie wewnętrznej.

4. Zaciśnij mankiet tak, aby dopasowaćgo odpowiednio
do ramienia. Zbyt ciasne lub zbyt luźne dopasowanie
mankietu może byćprzyczynąbłędnych pomiarów.
5. Strzałka INDEX powinna wskazywaćna napis
NORMAL (25-36 cm). Oznacza to, że mankiet jest
właściwy dla tej grubości ramienia. Jeżeli strzałka
wskazuje na obszar «» na lewo od napisu – oznacza
to, że mankiet jest za mały i wyniki będązawyżone.
Jeżeli strzałka wskazuje na obszar «» na prawo od
napisu, oznacza to, że mankiet jest za duży i wyniki będą
zaniżone.
6. W przypadku grubej ręki zwężającej sięstożkowo w
kierunku łokcia, mankiet należy nawinąć spiralnie tak jak
pokazano na rysunku.
7. Zby t mocno zwinięty rękaw nad mankietem tamuje
przepływ krwi i może byćprzyczynąbłędnego pomiaru
ciśnienia.
PROCEDURA POMIARU
Przed pomiarem należy wykonaćod 3 do 5 głębokich wdechów
i wydechów oraz rozluźnićsię. Nie należy sięruszać, rozmawiać
i napinaćmięśni w trakcie pomiaru.
1.Naciśnij i przytrzymaj przycisk O/I około 1 sekundy.
2.Na wyświetlaczu na krótki czas wyświetląsięwszystkie
symbole, po czym na ekranie zostanie wyświetlone „0” oraz
zacznie migaćsymbol “ ”, co oznacza, że przyrząd jest gotowy
do pomiaru.
3.Należy napompowaćmankiet, naciskając na gruszkę, do
usłyszenia sygnału dźwiękowego do ciśnienia wyższego o 30-40
mmHg od spodziewanego ciśnienia skurczowego (wyższego).
Wysokość ciśnienia w mankiecie jest stale wyświetlana na
ekranie.

FUNKCJE PAMIĘCI
1. Wynik każdego pomiaru (ciśnienie i puls) jest automatycznie
zapisywany w pamięci urządzenia.

3. Zawartość pamięci urządzenia można przejrzećpo
naciśnięciu przycisku O/I, a następnie przycisku M. Przy
pierwszym naciśnięciu przycisku M na wyświetlaczu pojawi
sięśrednia wartość 3 ostatnich pomiarów, zachowanych w
pamięci urządzenia oznaczone znakiem «А» (rys. 3). Przy
powtórnym naciśnięciu przycisku M na ekranie na krótko pojawi
sięznaczek «1» (numer komórki pamięci), a przez 1 sekundę
wyświetla sięjej zawartość (rys. 4). Każde naciśnięcie przycisku
M powoduje przejście do kolejnej komórki pamięci. Jeżeli w
pamięci urządzenia nie ma zapisanych wyników pomiarów, to
przy naciśnięciu M na ekranie nie zostanąwyświetlone żadne
wartości.
CZYSZCZENIE PAMIĘCI URZĄDZENIA
W celu usunięcia z pamięci urządzenia wszystkich zapisanych
w niej wyników pomiarów, należy włączyćurządzenie poprzez
naciśnięcie przycisku O/I, a następnie nacisnąć przycisk M i
przytrzymaćgo przez co najmniej 5 sekund. Na ekranie pojawi
sięsymbol „Clr” i zostanie przeprowadzone czyszczenie pamięci
urządzenia (rys. 5).
