Avoid exposing batteries/rechargeable
batteries to extreme conditions and
temperatures, e�g� on radiators/in direct
sunlight�
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous
membranes! In the event of skin contact
with battery acid, rinse the affected area
immediately with plenty of clean water and
seek medical advice immediately!

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES!
Leaking or damaged batteries/
rechargeable batteries can cause
chemical burns if they come into contact
with skin� Therefore, wear suitable
protective gloves in such cases�
In the event that a battery leaks, remove it
from the product immediately to avoid
damage�
zFirst-time operation
Please note: Take the product out of its
packaging and remove all packing material�
Check that all package contents are
present�
Check if the product or individual parts are
damaged� If that is the case, do not use the
product� Please contact the retailer via the
service address indicated on the warranty
card�
Keep the product away from children until
you have removed the protective strip from
the battery compartment�
The batteries supplied are already inserted
into the product and tted with an isolator
strip� Remove this plastic strip to start using
the product�
zSwitching the product on/off
Use the switch 5on the battery
compartment 2to turn the product on and
off (see gure D):
OFF: The LED Gnome 1is switched off�
ON: The LED Gnome 1is switched on�
zReplacing the batteries
 RISK OF DEATH! Please note that
the batteries must only be replaced
by grown ups, and make sure that
the battery compartment must be rmly
closed� Batteries can be lethal when
swallowed!
The battery compartment 2is located
underneath the beard (see gure B). Undo
the screws 3to open the battery
compartment (see gure C). Turn over the
battery compartment and carefully lift up
the lid 4 (see gure C).
Insert the batteries supplied 6into the
product, taking care to ensure correct
polarity (see gure C).
Please note: The button cells are placed in
the battery compartment in opposite
orientation (see gure C).
Close the lid and tighten the screws on the
back to secure the battery compartment�
zCleaning and storage
Do not immerse the product in water�
Make sure that no water gets into the
casing�
Use only a dry, lint-free cloth for cleaning� If
the product is very dirty, dampen the cloth
slightly�
When the product is not in use, store in the
packaging in a dry place�

In the interest of environmental
protection, when the product has
reached the end of its useful life, do
not dispose of it as general
household waste but have it
properly recycled� For information
on recycling centres and their
opening times, please contact your
local council�
Faulty or used batteries must be recycled in
accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC
and its amendments� Return batteries and/or
the product to the local recycling facilities
provided�

rechargeable batteries!
Batteries must not be disposed of as general
household waste� They may contain toxic
heavy metals* and are subject to special
waste treatment� Batteries and rechargeable
batteries that are not permanently xed
inside the product must be removed before
disposal of the product and disposed of
separately� Please ensure batteries/
rechargeable batteries are fully discharged
when disposed of! Wherever possible, use
rechargeable batteries rather than single-use
batteries�

Dear customer, This product comes with a
3-year warranty from the date of purchase�
In the event that this product is faulty, you
have legal rights against the seller of the
product� These statutory rights are not
restricted by our warranty as set out below�
Warranty terms
The warranty period begins with the date of
purchase� Please keep the original receipt in
a safe place� It is required as proof of
purchase� If a material or manufacturing
defect occurs within three years of the date
of purchase, we will repair or replace the
product for you free of charge, or refund the
purchase price, at our discretion� This
warranty service is granted provided that the
faulty device and the proof of purchase
(receipt) are presented within three years,
along with a brief written description of the
fault and of when it occurred� If the fault is
covered by our warranty, we will return the
xed product or send you a new one. No
new warranty period shall begin upon repair
or replacement of the product�
Warranty period and statutory
warranty claims
The warranty period is not renewed after a
warranty service has been granted� This rule

shall also apply for any replaced or repaired
parts� Any damage or faults that already
existed when buying the product must be
reported immediately upon unpacking the
product� A fee is charged for any repairs
that are carried out after the end of the
warranty period�
Warranty scope
The device was carefully manufactured
according to the strictest quality guidelines
and thoroughly tested before delivery� The
warranty applies to material or
manufacturing defects� This warranty does
not apply to product parts that are subject to
normal wear and tear and can therefore be
regarded as wearing parts, or damage to
fragile parts, such as switches, rechargeable
batteries or parts that are made of glass�
This warranty is void if the product has been
damaged, improperly used or serviced� To
ensure proper use, all instructions included in
the manual must be followed carefully� All
uses and actions that users are discouraged
from or warned of in the manual must be
avoided under all circumstances� The product
is intended for private household use only,
and not for commercial activities� The
warranty is void, if the product is treated
inappropriately, if force is applied, and in
the case of any manipulation that is not
carried out by our authorised service branch�

Remarque : Sortez le produit de
l‘emballage et retirez tous les matériaux
d‘emballage�
Vériez que le contenu de l‘emballage est
complet�
Vériez si le produit ou ses pièces sont
endommagés� Si tel est le cas, ne mettez
pas le produit en service� Contactez le
responsable de la mise en circulation à
l‘adresse de SAV indiquée sur la carte de
garantie�
Tenez le produit hors de portée des enfants
tant que vous n‘avez pas retiré la
bandelette de protection du compartiment
à piles�
Les piles fournies sont déjà installées dans
le produit et dotées d‘une languette de
protection� Retirez-les pour mettre le produit
en service�
zAllumer/éteindre le produit
Vous pouvez allumer/éteindre le produit
avec l‘interrupteur 5dans le compartiment
à piles 2 (cf. g. D) :
OFF : Le lutin à LED 1est éteint�
ON : Le lutin à LED 1est allumé�
zRemplacer les piles
 DANGER DE MORT ! Veuillez
veiller à ce que seul un adulte
remplace les piles et que le
compartiment à piles soit fermé de manière
correcte et conforme� Avaler une pile peut
être dangereux !
Le compartiment à piles 2se trouve en
dessous de la barbe (cf. g. B). Ouvrez le
compartiment des piles en dévissant les vis
3 (cf. g. C). Retournez le compartiment à
piles et soulevez le couvercle 4avec
précaution (cf. g. C).
Insérez les piles 6dans le produit en
respectant la polarité (cf. g. B).
Remarque : Les piles bouton sont placées
différemment dans le compartiment à piles
(cf. g. C).
Fermez le couvercle et revissez bien les vis
au dos pour sécuriser le compartiment à
piles�

zNettoyage et stockage
N‘immergez pas le produit dans l‘eau�
Veillez à ce que de l‘eau ne pénètre pas
dans le boitier�
Utilisez uniquement un chiffon sec qui ne
peluche pas pour le nettoyage. Humidiez
légèrement le chiffon en présence de
salissures plus tenaces�
Lorsque vous n‘utilisez pas le produit,
conservez-le dans un endroit sec et dans
son emballage�

Il est interdit de jeter les batteries et les

peuvent contenir des métaux lourds*)
toxiques et sont soumises au traitement des
déchets spéciaux� Les batteries qui ne sont
pas montées de manière xe dans l‘appareil
doivent être retirées au préalable et être
mises séparément au rebut� Veuillez ne
remettre batteries que dans un état
déchargé ! Utilisez si possible des batteries
au lieu de piles jetables�

La prestation de garantie ne prolonge pas la
période de garantie� Cela vaut également
pour les pièces remplacées et réparées� Les
dommages et vices éventuellement présents
lors de l‘achat déjà doivent être signalés
immédiatement après le désemballage� Une
fois la garantie expirée, les réparations
éventuelles sont facturées�
Étendue de la garantie
L‘appareil a été construit conformément aux
strictes directives relatives à la qualité et
contrôlé soigneusement avant la livraison� La
prestation de garantie s‘applique aux
défauts de matériel ou de fabrication� Cette
garantie ne couvre pas les pièces du produit
soumises à une usure normale et ainsi
considérées comme des pièces d‘usure, ni
les dégâts visibles sur des pièces fragiles,
par exemple l‘interrupteur, les batteries ou
les pièces en verre� La garantie expire en
cas d‘altération du produit en raison d‘une
utilisation non conforme ou un entretien
insufsant. Toutes les consignes listées dans
la notice d‘utilisation doivent être exactement
observées pour une utilisation conforme du
produit� Il convient obligatoirement d‘éviter
toute utilisation et action déconseillée dans
la notice d‘utilisation� Le produit est
uniquement destiné à l‘usage privé et pas à
l‘usage commercial� La garantie devient
caduque en cas de traitement abusif et
incorrect, d‘usage de la force et en cas
d‘interventions, qui n‘ont pas été réalisées
par notre liale SAV agréée.

Vous trouverez la référence article sur la

garde de votre notice (en bas à gauche) ou
sur l‘autocollant au dos ou en dessous du

Si des défauts de fonctionnement ou tout
autre vice apparait, contactez en premier
lieu le service SAV indiqué ci-dessous par
téléphone ou par e-mail�
Vous pouvez envoyer un produit enregistré
comme étant défectueux en franco de port
à l‘adresse SAV qui vous a été
communiquée en y joignant le justicatif
d‘achat (ticket de caisse) et en indiquant en
quoi consiste le vice et la date à laquelle il
est survenu�
Article L217-16 du Code de la
consommation
Lorsque l‘acheteur demande au vendeur,
pendant le cours de la garantie commerciale
qui lui a été consentie lors de l‘acquisition
ou de la réparation d‘un bien meuble, une
remise en état couverte par la garantie, toute
période d‘immobilisation d‘au moins sept
jours vient s‘ajouter à la durée de la garantie
qui restait à courir� Cette période court à
compter de la demande d‘intervention de
l‘acheteur ou de la mise à disposition pour
réparation du bien en cause, si cette mise à

des défauts de conformité résultant de

sa charge par le contrat ou a été réalisée
sous sa responsabilité�

Vermijd extreme omstandigheden en
temperaturen, die kunnen inwerken op de
batterijen/accu’s, bijv� op
verwarmingselementen/direct zonlicht�
Vermijd contact met huid, ogen en
slijmvliezen! Spoel bij contact met accuzuur
de betreffende plekken onmiddellijk met
overvloedig schoon water en raadpleeg
onmiddellijk een arts!

DRAAG VEILIGHEIDS-

Uitgelopen of
beschadigde batterijen/accu’s
kunnen bij aanraking met de huid
brandwonden veroorzaken� Draag daarom
in dit geval geschikte
veiligheidshandschoenen�
Wanneer de batterijen zijn uitgelopen,
dient u deze onmiddellijk uit het product te
verwijderen om beschadigingen te
voorkomen�
zIngebruikname
Aanwijzing: haal het product uit de
verpakking en verwijder alle
verpakkingsmaterialen�
Controleer of de levering compleet is�
Controleer of het product of de
afzonderlijke onderdelen beschadigd zijn�
Gebruik het product niet wanneer dit het
geval is� Neem contact op met de verdeler

U schakelt het product in/uit via de
schakelaar 5op het batterijvak 2(zie
afb� D):
OFF: de ledkabouter 1is uitgeschakeld�
ON: de ledkabouter 1is ingeschakeld�
zBatterijen vervangen
 LEVENSGEVAAR! Zorg ervoor dat
batterijen alleen door een
volwassene worden vervangen en
dat het batterijvak vast en correct is
afgesloten� Het inslikken van een batterij
kan levensgevaarlijk zijn!
Het batterijvak 2bevindt zich aan de
onderkant van de baard (zie afb� B)� Open
het batterijvak door de schroeven 3los te
draaien (zie afb� C)� Keer het batterijvak
om en hef het deksel 4voorzichtig op (zie
afb� C)�
Plaats de meegeleverde batterijen 6met
de juiste polariteit in het product (zie afb�
C)�
Aanwijzing: de knoopcellen liggen met
omgekeerde polariteit in het batterijvak (zie
afb� C)�
Sluit het deksel en schroef de schroeven op
de achterkant weer vast om het batterijvak
veilig af te sluiten�
zReinigen en opbergen
Dompel het product niet onder in water�
Zorg ervoor dat er geen water in de
behuizing terechtkomt�
Gebruik voor het reinigen alleen een
droge, rafelvrije doek� Bij sterke vervuiling
maakt u de doek licht vochtig�

Informatie over de afvalverwijdering
van het afgedankte product is
verkrijgbaar bij uw gemeente of
stad�
Gooi het afgedankte product, ter
bescherming van het milieu, niet
weg met het huishoudelijk afval,
maar lever het in voor een
vakkundige recycling� Voor
informatie over inzamelpunten en
de openingstijden hiervan kunt u
terecht bij uw gemeente�
Defecte of afgedankte accu‘s moeten
volgens Richtlijn 2006 / 66 / EG en de
bijbehorende wijzigingen worden
gerecycled� Accu‘s en/of het product
inleveren bij hiervoor beschikbare
inzamelpunten�
Milieuschade door een onjuiste
afvoer van de accu’s!
Accu’s mogen niet met het huisvuil
worden meegegeven� Ze kunnen giftige
zware metalen*) bevatten en vallen onder
het gevaarlijk afval� Batterijen en accu’s die
niet vast in het apparaat zijn ingebouwd,
moeten voor de afvalverwijdering uit het
apparaat worden genomen en apart worden
afgevoerd� Gelieve batterijen en accu’s
alleen in ontladen toestand in te leveren!
Gebruik indien mogelijk accu’s in plaats van
wegwerpbatterijen�

Geachte klant, op dit product ontvangt u 3
jaar garantie vanaf de aankoopdatum� In
geval van gebreken hebt u wettelijke rechten
tegenover de verkoper van het product�
Deze wettelijke rechten worden niet beperkt
door onze hieronder weergegeven garantie�
Garantiebepalingen
De garantietermijn begint op de
aankoopdatum� Gelieve uw originele
kassaticket goed te bewaren� Dit hebt u
nodig als bewijs van aankoop� Indien er
zich binnen drie jaar na de aankoopdatum
van dit product een materiaal- of
fabricagefout voordoet, wordt het product
– naar onze keuze – door ons gratis voor u
hersteld of vervangen, of krijgt u het
aankoopbedrag terugbetaald� Deze garantie
veronderstelt dat binnen de driejarige termijn
zowel het defecte toestel als het
aankoopbewijs (kassaticket) worden
voorgelegd en schriftelijk wordt beschreven
wat het gebrek precies inhoudt en wanneer
dit is opgetreden� Wanneer het defect door
onze garantie wordt gedekt, krijgt u het
herstelde product of een nieuw exemplaar
terug� Met de herstelling of de vervanging

garantietermijn te lopen�
Garantietijd en wettelijke
garantieclaims
De garantietijd wordt niet verlengd door de
garantieverlening� Dit geldt ook voor
vervangen of herstelde onderdelen�
Eventueel reeds bij de aankoop bestaande
schade en gebreken moeten onmiddellijk na
het uitpakken worden gemeld� Voor
reparaties na aoop van de garantieperiode
worden kosten in rekening gebracht�
Omvang van de garantie
Het toestel werd zorgvuldig geproduceerd
volgens strenge kwaliteitsrichtlijnen en werd
voorafgaand aan de levering nauwgezet
gecontroleerd� De garantie geldt voor
materiaal- of fabricagefouten� Deze garantie
geldt niet voor productonderdelen die
onderhevig zijn aan normale slijtage en
bijgevolg kunnen worden beschouwd als
slijtageonderdelen, noch voor beschadigingen
aan breekbare onderdelen, bijv� schakelaars,
accu‘s of onderdelen van glas� Deze garantie
vervalt wanneer het product opzettelijk werd
beschadigd, niet doelmatig werd gebruikt of
wanneer er onderhoud aan het product werd
uitgevoerd� Voor een doelmatig gebruik van
het product moeten alle in de handleiding
vermelde instructies stipt worden opgevolgd�
Toepassingen en handelingen die in de
handleiding worden afgeraden of waarvoor
in de handleiding wordt gewaarschuwd,
moeten absoluut worden vermeden� Het
product is enkel bestemd voor privégebruik en
niet voor commercieel gebruik� Bij misbruik en
niet-doelmatige omgang, gebruik van geweld
of bij ingrepen die niet door onze
geautoriseerde servicepunten werden
uitgevoerd, vervalt de garantie�
Afhandeling in geval van garantie
Om een snelle verwerking van uw vraag te
verzekeren, houdt u best rekening met
volgende Opmerkingen:
Hou bij alle aanvragen het kassaticket en
het artikelnummer (bijv� IAN 123456) als
bewijs van de aankoop klaar�
Het artikelnummer vindt u terug op het

Indien er zich storingen of andere gebreken
