USER INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PRIOR TO FIRST TIME USE
Remove the unit from the packing and assure
yourself that it is in faultless condition.
PRIOR TO USE READ THROUGH THE
WHOLE INSTRUCTION MANUAL.
RETAIN THIS MANUAL.
SAFETY INFORMATION
• This unit may be used by children
from 8 years of age and people of
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or insufficient experience
or insufficient proficiency, provided
they are supervised or instructed
in the safe use of the unit and
understand the associated risks.
Children must not play with the unit.
Cleaning and maintenance work, to
be carried out by the user, must not
be undertaken by children, unless
they are over 8 years of age and are
supervised by an adult. Keep the unit
and cable away from children below
the age of 8 years.
• Do not use while bathing. Do not use
in locations where the unit could fall
to the floor, or into the bath or the
wash hand basin.
• This unit complies with the
electromagnetic compatibility directive
2014/30/EU and the directive 2011/65/
EU for the restriction of the use of
certain dangerous substances in
electrical and electronic equipment.
• Do not plug in the adaptor with
wet hands and do not pull the plug
adaptor out with wet hands.
• Do not use the Livington Air Cooler®
in a damp environment (bathroom)
or in a greasy environment (kitchen)
in order to avoid damage to the
mechanical system due to the
accumulation of dust or grease
deposits.
• Leave sufficient space between the
unit and any vertical surface, to
guarantee optimal air circulation.
• Do not position the Livington Air
Cooler®in the proximity of moveable
items which could conceal the
protective grille (curtains, plants etc).
• It is advised against exposing yourself
to a continuous, cold air flow for
a long period of time. This applies
especially to children and elderly
people.
• This unit is not a toy. Keep it away
from children.
• Before opening the unit, press the on/
off switch and wait until the ventilator
has come to a standstill.
• The Livington Air Cooler®is only
designed for domestic use. Any
professional utilization, inappropriate
use or utilization which does not
comply with this instruction manual
will lead to termination of both
the manufacturer’s liability and its
guarantee.
• Do not try to repair the Livington
Air Cooler®. Repairs must only be
undertaken by qualified personnel.
• Do not place on surfaces that may be

damaged by water, for example, wood.
• Do NOT use the adaptor, if either the
cable or plug is damaged. If the unit
is incorrectly repaired or reassembled,
it may cause an electrical shock or
injure people during use.
• Only use the adaptor for its intended
purpose.
• NEVER leave the unit unattended
while plugged in.
• Only use manufacturer recommended
accessory parts.
• Do not carry the Livington Air Cooler®
around while it is filled with water.
• Only use clean water. For heavily
calcified water, use distilled water.
• Please read and follow the
recommendations in the “Cleaning
and Maintenance” section of this
manual.
• The Livington Air Cooler®performs
best in clean areas. Large amounts of
dust and dirt particles can affect the
durability of the unit.
• We recommend use only in dry areas.
For use in a damp environment, make
sure that no water finds its way onto
the housing of the product.
• Should water find its way onto the
product, disconnect the Livington Air
Cooler®power supply and leave to dry
for 24 hours. Then use again as usual.
• Do not expose to direct sunlight for a
long period of time.
• If you plan to no longer use the
Livington Air Cooler®, empty the water
tank, switch the unit on and leave it to
run for at least 4 hours at the highest
level. As a result, the filters and the
unit’s interior will be dried.
• Only use the original adaptor and the
original cable (supplied).
• Disconnect the Livington Air Cooler®
from the power supply for cleaning,
removal/replacement of the filter or
for carrying the unit about.
• Preferably, position the Livington
Air Cooler®on a raised surface,
something like a table or a sideboard.
• Do not position the Livington Air
Cooler®beside a heater or other
electrical appliance.
• Do not place any objects on top of the
Livington Air Cooler®.
• Do not block the outlets on the front
and rear side of the unit.
• The unit can only be completely
switched off by disconnection from
the power supply.
• A replaceable water filter is designed
specifically for this product. If the
filter is broken or damaged, you
can buy a replacement part. In this
instance, please contact our customer
service department. Contact details
can be found on the last page of this
instruction manual.
USE
A. Remove the water tank and fill it with very cold
water.
B. Put the water tank back into the unit.
C. Connect the USB-Cable to the unit and link the
other cable end with your PC’s USB-Port or your
external battery charger. You can also connect the
USB-Cable to a voltage adaptor, which can then
be directly connected to a power supply socket.
D. Switch on the unit by pressing the power switch

on the control panel.
E. The blue LED–light can be switched on and off by
pressing the corresponding button on the control
panel.
F. The speed can be adjusted by pressing the
corresponding button on the control panel.
G. Switch off the unit by pressing the on/off switch
on the control panel.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The filter is already installed in the correct position.
Should you, at any point in time, remove or replace the
filter, please ensure that it is reinstalled in the correct
position.
In order to ensure proper operation, replace the filter
every 6 months.
Clearing of water from the internal circulation systems
1. Extract the water tank and drain it.
2. Remove the plug from the bottom of the unit and
drain the water in a safe place.
• Clean the exterior of the unit, if required, with a soft
cloth.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaning detergents or
abrasive sponges.
Never immerse the unit in water or any other kind of
fluid.
CAUTION! - Do not use the unit in a damp
environment (bathroom) or in a greasy environment
(kitchen) in order to avoid damage to the mechanical
system due to the accumulation of dust or grease
deposits.
