This manual contains instructions intended to inform about the correct assembly, use
and maintenance of LIVITH anchoring devices, as well as the correct design of fall arrest
systems.
Therefore it is essential to preserve the manual for the entire life of the device, since it is
an integral part of it.
The person responsible for managing the anchoring device must ensure that this user
manual, together with the technical le of the work, are kept in good condition and must
make them available for the user, the maintenance technician or the inspector, before any
access at height and use of the system.
In case of loss, this manual can be requested in paper form from LIVITH SpA.
ADVICES AND REQUIREMENTS

8
The installation of the device must take place avoiding that, in case of fall arrest,
the deection of the line leads it to come into contact with sharp edges or with
other elements that could contribute to damage it.
Once installed, anchoring devices can be subject to the capture of atmospheric
discharges. It will therefore be responsibility of the owner or manager of the fall
arrest system to check, based on the regulations in force on the matter, whether
or not the building is subject to lightning risk and if necessary take charge and
burden of protecting the building with suitable measures and systems suitably
designed according to current standards.
The installation of the anchoring devices must be carried out away from high
voltage cables, electrical systems and must not have connections with them or
with antennas or other systems that can become live and act as conductors, as
the devices produced by Livith S.p.A can accidentally go live. An accurate risk
assessment is required in this regard.
In case of installation on inclined slopes. It is also necessary to install a snow stop
system near the anchoring device to reduce the snow load acting on it.
Livith S.p.A declines all responsibility related to the system being put out of
service due to the failure to install snow stopper systems.
For further information please consult the Warranty Conditions at the end of this
Manual.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

10
Livith deformable Type A devices are designed to cushion the dynamic impulsive force
stressing the anchor in the event of a fall, by plastically deforming.
Hereaer are the deformations and stresses acting on the Type A anchors deformable in
the event of a fall.
For all non-deformable Livith devices, check with the forces indicated on page. 9 of this
Manual, considering the device in its undeformed conguration and the stress factor
acting in the most severe operating direction.

DATA 1 OP.
Maximum stress force [kN] 6,29

The presence of rigid elements such as slabs or wooden joists in the
roong package can prevent deformation of the anchor. In this case it is
advisable to consider the undeformed height of the anchor to carry out
the check and the following maximum stressing forces:
9kN x 1 operator;
12kN x 2 operators.

LABEL COMPILATION
An information plate must be installed near the access to the roof or to the fall arrest
system, in a visible place.
If this type of plate is present, ll in as follows:
FIRST INSTALLATION
In "LAST INSPECTION DATE" enter the installation date;
In "NEXT INSPECTION DATE" enter the date of the next scheduled inspection *.
Similarly, in the event of a subsequent MAINTENANCE WORK, ll in the nameplate again
as follows:
In "LAST INSPECTION DATE" enter the date of the inspection carried out;
In "NEXT INSPECTION DATE" enter the date of the next scheduled inspection *.
* For the frequency of periodic inspections, see the Maintenance Guide on page. 25

In the case of SMART type plates, in addition to the information described for the BASE
plate, the system can be activated with this procedure:
1. in the browser of your smartphone, type the address smart.livith.it
2. press the SCAN key and frame the QRCODE on the plate
3. log in (if you log in for the first time, register*)
4. fill in the required fields and register the system
At the scheduled deadlines, the client and installer will automatically receive an email
alerting on the need to renew maintenance.
Once the system is activated, even unregistered users will be able to consult the associated
information such as a coverage graph, photos, maintenance instructions and more on
their electronic device by framing the QRCODE.

MULTISPIN
VERTICAL / VERTICAL F
EASY SPIN
Any deformation of the anchor
indicates the NON-integrity of
the fall indicator.
FALL INDICATOR
Multispin, Vertical, Vertical F and Easy Spin Livith devices are equipped with a fall indicator.
Aer installing the devices and before each use, check
the integrity of the fall indicator, according to the example schemes
shown below.
The breaking of the metal strap
and the sliding of the anchor
point with lack of visibility of the
fall indicator indicates the non-
integrity of the fall indicator.

ASSISTANCE
All anchoring devices produced by Livith SpA have a higher degree of
corrosion resistance than that required by the technical standard.
Each component complies externally and internally with the corrosion protection criteria
sub divided into the following representation:
STAINLESS STEEL COMPONENTS
ZINC PLATED COMPONENTS
ZINC PLATED AND FIRE PAINTED
COMPONENTS
ALUMINIUM COMPONENTS
> 250 hours of neutral salt spray>
> 1500 hours of neutral salt spray>
Any traces of oxidation occur exclusively as surface phenomena due to work on the construction
site and / or to transfer material, and do not contribute in any way to modify or compromise the
operation and durability of the devices.
The installer must release a copy of the installation documentation to the customer.
In this regard, in order to facilitate the document compliance required by
current legislation, Livith completes this manual with specic pre-set and simple
compilation forms relating to:
• General information of the installation;
• Master data of installed devices and xings;
• Declaration of correct installation;
• Maintenance log;
• Document delivery receipt;
This booklet also provides a housing for the schematic installation plan and any
photographic documentation. Please refer to these documents any type of explanation.
