learn how your e-bike functions and how to take care  it. This
will allow you to eliminate problems and possible damage to your
e-bike due to incorrect usage.

The story of the LOVELEC brand began in 2006, when a passionate cyclist, a fan of adrenali-
ne experiences and one of the ex-owners of the family company KOEXIMPO, spol. s r.o.
Stanislav Glac was enthusiastic about the motorcycles. At that time, after a knee surgery,
Stanislav could not devote himself to his hobby – cycling and began looking for the other
options. The ideal alternative for him within the rehabilitation was riding an e-bike. While in
the West the market for the e-bikes developed very quickly, in the Czech Republic the e-bikes
were still almost unavailable. That's when Stanislav realized that he wants to be there when
people in the Czech Republic will be able to ride further, higher, faster or with less effort than
on a regular bike, thanks to the electric drive (but with the constant pedalling). With the great
enthusiasm he began a long and thorny journey to achieve one of his dreams. Thanks to his
diligence and perseverance, the KOEXIMPO company started trading the e-bikes in the year
2008 and in the year 2010 a new Czech brand of the e-bikes was established – LOVELEC.
This is how Stanislav laid the solid foundations on which his sons have been building for 2020
(under the constant supervision of their father).
The name LOVELEC was created by combining two English words: LOVE and ELECTRIC,
which in free translation means "love of electric ride". As LOVELEC operates in many European
markets, the name is clear and universal for everyone.
The –LOVELEC + logo symbolizes the battery, which is an essential part of every e-bike.
The philosophy of the LOVELEC brand is simple – we want to give people the joy of riding
an e-bike. To enjoy riding an e-bike and the joy to last for as long as possible, we apply our
golden rule – the uncompromised quality at a reasonable price.
We use the components from the top world manufacturers on our e-bikes. We cooperate with
the development with the world's best experts in the industry. We test each model carefully
before it is placed on the market (not only in the laboratory conditions, but also in the most
demanding terrains).

Riding an electric bike is good for your health – it has a positive influence on the cardiovascular
and musculoskeletal system, decreases the danger of the diabetes and high blood pressure. It
also improves human balance, coordination, movement, strength and endurance, lowers the
stress hormones and supports well-being of our mind.
By riding an e-bike you also help protect the environment by lowering your carbon footprint,
as an e-bike does not emit fumes or CO2to our atmosphere.
Please pay attention to your health and safety, but also pay attention to the
health and safety of the other road users by wearing a helmet and follow
the rules of the road.
Every LOVELEC electric bike (which essential part consist of the rechargable battery) is delivered
with the accessories below:
■charger (EN, CE, 42 V, 2 A, approximate time of charging is 4–6 hours),
■keys to the battery case lock (2 pieces),
■instructions for use involving the warranty card.
Please check if you are in possession of all of the accessories above. If not, please contact the
dealer.
These instructions are universal for all of the LOVELEC e-bikes. The essential part of them is the
attachment for the individual type which consist of the e-bike schematic and description,
description of the rechargable battery (insertion and removal, LED charge indications),
description and functions of the display and the control panel and declaration of conformity.
These instructions include basic information regarding LOVELEC e-bikes, its usage and maintenance.
Please contact your dealer for further information if you have any other questions.
Please contact your dealer in case of loss of the instructions, which include also a warranty
card.

LOVELEC e-bikes belong to the PEDELEC category (Pedal Electric Cycle), which you can
describe as a bicycle driven by electric drive by usage of the pedals. The schematic with the
description of the purchased LOVELEC e-bike is to be found in the attachment to these instructions
(at the end).
LOVELEC e-bikes meet every requirements of the applicable legal standards for the bicycles
with the auxiliary electric drive EPAC (Electronically Power Assisted Cycles). They are
equipped with the auxiliary electric drive with the maximal permanent performance 0,25 kW
which can cause the sound intensity level of < 55 dB. The electric performance is interrupted
if the cyclist stops pedalling or if the e-bike exceeds the 25 km/h speed limit. The motor is
charged from the Lithium-Ion rechargable battery of the total voltage of 36 V.
LOVELEC e-bikes are designed for the private and commercial use.
■Do not lend the e-bike to those, who are not accustomized with its usage. Mishandling
the e-bike might lead to the invalidation of the warranty.
■You can achieve much higher speed than on an usual bike, therefore please ride it
carefully, so you have it under control in any circumstances.
■Do not drink alcohol before riding. Even small amount causes slower reactions and
decreases the ability to control the e-bike and is illegal.
■The electromotor assistance can be easily adapted by the control panel (see
attachment). By disabling the assistance (or after depleting the battery) you can use
your e-bike as an usual bicycle – it does not put any resistance and it is fully functional.
■Please contact your dealer in case of any strange behaviour, failure or breakdown
of the e-bike or its components.
■Please contact your dealer in case of unclearness regarding the usage, maintenance
and functions of the e-bike.
Please read the whole instructions carefully to become familiar with the usage of
the e-bike before the first use.

■Mount the pedals. Pedals are marked as „R“ (right) and „L“ (left). Left pedal has the
opposite (left) screw thread. After installing the pedals make sure, that they are
sufficiently tightened.
■Insert the rechargable battery into the case/frame/on frame of the e-bike (depen-
ding on the individual model – see attachment). The battery is secured by the lock.
Keys to that lock are unique to every single e-bike, therefore the battery is protected
from stealing.
■Every e-bike is equipped by unique pair of the keys to the battery lock. Keys serve
to locking and unlocking the battery or to pull out the battery from its case (depen-
ding on the individual model – see attachment). For safety reasons please keep one
key everywhere with you and the other/s to be kept in a safe place in case of the
loss or damage to the keys. Do not ride the e-bike with the keys inside the lock – it
can cause harm, theft or loss.
■Check the correct wheel mounting to the frame and to the fork. In case of the
incorrect installation it can cause harm.
■Please be aware of the correct tire inflation – optimal pressure value is stated on
the tires. Incorrect tire inflation can cause damage of the whole e-bike which can
lead to sufficient harm being caused. It also lowers the e-bike range and decrease
the adhesion of the wheels to the ground.
■Leave the shift adjustment to the professional bike service.
■Leave the brakes adjustment to the professional bike service.
■Please secure the pistons in the brake caliper by the plastic insertion if you are
unmounting the wheel from the e-bike with the hydraulic brakes, which prevents the
unwanted aeration (pulling the brakes while missing the wheels).
■Damaged wheel rim replace with the new one as soon as possible. The rims can be
a part of the brake system and can cause harm if damaged.
Please familiarize yourself with the basic information regarding the assembling
of the e-bike if you do not have any experience regarding this or you not sure
how to properly use the e-bike.

■Take in your consideration, that the e-bike is heavier than an usual bike.
■During the manipulation with the e-bike make sure, that the electric system is turned
off, so you won´t cause an uncontrolled movement.
■Please beware damaging the cables during the manipulation with the e-bike.
■Avoid the overloading of the electric motor (repeated ride through a long and steep
hill). When overload, the motor can overheat. After overheating please wait for it to
cool down before further use.
■The e-bike can be used even during a moderate rain, but avoid leaving it in the open
spaces during heavy rain, snow or in a thick fog.
■Keep in mind locking the battery when parking the e-bike outside (if it is possible).
Secure the e-bike using a suitable lock for bicycles (not included).

■Adjust the position of the saddle by pulling the seatpost up or down, so the leg on the
pedal in the lowest position is slightly bent and can reach the ground if you are
stopping. Thoroughly secure the seatpost clamp in the seatpost. Do not pull the
seatpost higher than indicated on in – it can cause saddle release, frame damage or
rider injury.
■You can adjust the suspended fork, if equipped, by the regulator on the fork crown. By
moving the regulator in direction of „+“ you increase the rigidity of the fork, by moving
it in direction of „–“ you decrease it. You can fully block the fork if it is equipped with
the lock. Air forks allow to customize its rigidity by setting the air pressure in the
pressure chamber by the help of the special air fork pump. Please keep your fork
gliders clean. During post-season service, coat the rubber dusters with silicone oil
(prevention of swelling).
■Please use the front and the back lights while riding in the night or under impaired
visibility. Reflectors and the other safety features keep clean and uncovered.
OPERATING THE E-BIKE – see attachment.

■Set the „1“/“LOW“ level of the assistance (based on the individual model – see
attachment).
■Move off carefully – as on an usual bicycle. We recommend to move off on the first
derailleur gear (the biggest cog).
■You will acknowledge the assistance of the drive in the moment. Try ride it, turn it and
brake it. As you will stop pedalling or start braking, the motor will disable itself.
Repeat this several times, until you become familiar with the behaviour of you e-bike.
■Increase the motor assistance gradually.
■Slow down or lower the motor assistance during turns. The pedalling through the
sharp turn on the higher assistance level can lead to a possible accident.
■The one-time charge range is influenced by the terrain surface, the weather conditi-
ons, the rider weight, the inflation of the tires, the economy of the gear shifting and
the rate of the motor utilization through the drive etc.
■Repeated braking and starting, ride against the wind and long steep hill ride have
a negative influence on the e-bike range.
■The e-bike´s ideal range is to be achieved by the style of the ride and the gear
shifting in the moderate weather conditions (temperature above 10 oC). Usage in
lower temperatures can decrease the e-bike range.

The e-bike range per one charge depends on many factors and cannot be
determined specifically. The main parameter influencing the e-bike range is the
capacity of the rechargable battery (higher capacity = greater range).
We recommend to execute the first ride in the place with the minimal operation
and in sufficient space if you are not familiar with the usage of the e-bike.
THE FIRST RIDE

■The first charging time is 6–8 hours. The following charge to the full capacity will
take approximately 4–6 hours.
■The charger connector is to be put into the battery, afterwards connect the charger
to a 230 V network secured with at least 5 A. Disconnection should be done in the
opposite direction.
■The charge status is indicated by the LED light on the charger. The red light indicates
charging, green light indicates fully charged.
■The battery is equipped with the automatic charge control system, after a full charge
it will turn itself off automatically.
■The battery can be charged inside the carrier/in the frame/on the frame (depending
on the individual model – see attachment) or you can charge it independently.
■Do not charge the battery near the flammable materials or heat sources.
■During charging do not expose to sunlight and choose a dry environment with a good
air circulation (do not cover the charger or the battery).
■Make sure, that during charging there are no signs of the metallic components that
can cause electric shortage.
■The charger and the battery may heat up, it is not considered as a failure.
■Do not open, disassemble or modify the charger.

The Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) rechargable battery is included as the essential part of the e-bike. Its serial
number, to be found on the label, is stated in the warranty card. This type of the rechargable
battery is outstanding thanks to its longevity, capacity and mass. The Li-Ion batteries do not
have a memory, therefore they do not have to be formatted and you can charge it anytime.
For charging the battery use ONLY the charger delivered with the e-bike. The
usage of a charger other than the original can cause damage and invalidate
the warranty.

■The rechargable battery capacity lowers gradually with age and the number of
charges.
■The charge status is indicated by the LED lights (see attachment).
■The ideal storage conditions: dry place, the temperature 10–15 oC, maximum 70%
air humidity.
■Remove the battery from the e-bike and store it fully charged (see above) if you are
not using the e-bike for the long period of time.
■The rechargable battery is gradually discharging itself when stored, therefore it should
be charged once in 2 months.
■The charge status should not drop under 20 % (red light indication). We recommend
to charge the battery regularly.
■Keep the battery clean and dry at all times.
■Protect the battery from humidity, low temperatures and heat sources.
■Do not open, disassemble or modify the battery.
■Protect the battery from shocks and bumps.
■Do not store the battery near sources of heat or open fire.
■Do not exhibit the battery to the influence of a strong magnetic field.
■Remove the battery from the carrier/frame (depending on individual model – see
attachment) if it is deformed, smells or has manifested any other unusual behaviour
– contact the dealer.
■Do not keep the rechargable battery uncharged, it can cause damage. Avoiding
this rule leads to invalidation of the warranty.
■Do not use the battery to charge other devices.
■Do not leave the battery plugged into the powered charger for longer periods of
time (more than 2 days).
■Do not put any metallic components into the battery connector – it can cause an
electrical shortage.

You can extend the longevity of the rechargable battery by correct maintenance
(usage, charging, storage).

Keep the mechanical components of the e-bike clean and adequately lubricated.
Do not use high-pressure cleaner (VAP) to clean the e-bike. Use a wet cloth moistened with the
detergent solution to keep the e-bike clean and dry it with a dry cloth afterwards. Only use
detergents intended for cleaning the bicycles and their components.
Only use oils suitable for bicycle lubrication. Apply an adequate amount regularly on the
chain, derailleur, the gear and the brake cables.
Regularly monitor the overall functionality of the e-bike (brakes functionality, signs of damage
or component wear).
In case of storage longer than 1 month, please remove the rechagable battery and store it in
optimal conditions (see chapter „Battery maintenance“).
Proceed with the warranty inspection after riding through 150–200 km or after 3 months of
purchasing the e-bike. The warranty inspection can be secured by any bicycle service.
The warranty inspection includes control and adjustment of the mechanical components of the
electric bike (such as tightening screw connections, brakes adjustment, rim centring etc.) The
electric part of the warranty inspections includes correct motor and rechargable battery
control. Please contact your dealer in case of the failure within the electric parts of the e-bike
(battery, motor, display, control panel, lights, cables).
The warranty inspection must be stated on the warranty card of the e-bike including the date,
sign and the stamp of the bicycle service, which performed it.
The warranty inspection is necessary for validation of the warranty. Non-
compliance of the warranty inspection leads to the invalidation of the warranty.

■The warranty inspection is essential to keeping the warranty valid. Omission of it
leads to invalidation of the warranty (see the chapter „The warranty inspection“).
■The following components are subject to wear and are not covered by the warranty:
stickers, tires, inner tubes, cables, saddle, chain, brake shoes and brake pads, the
cassete, ropes, bowdens, fuse, stand, grips.
■The rechargable battery´s warranty applies to its function. The capacity of the
battery gradually lowers by age and charge counts. The lowering capacity of the
rechargable battery cannot be a subject of a complaint, as it is considered as normal
use.
■The warranty does not include failure of the electric motor caused by incorrect usage
or overloading.
THE TERMS OF THE WARRANTY

The 24 months warranty is applied to this e-bike from the day of the purchase by the first
owner.
The aluminium frame (6061) is secured by the lifelong warranty for the first e-bike owner.
This e-bike is constructed and produced for usage under usual conditions (appropriate
weather conditions) on public communications. Any other usage of the e-bike (in extreme
terrain, heavy rain or severe frost etc.) leads to invalidation of the warranty.
Incorrect usage of the e-bike and its components, not following the instructions for use, mainte-
nance and storage of the e-bike and its components included in these Instructions for use can
lead to invalidation of the warranty.
Do not interfere with the electric bike electro-installation. Any interference into
the electro-installation leads to invalidation of the warranty and may cause
irreversible harm to the e-bike.
Unprofessional modifications or repairs outside the standard complaints
procedure lead to invalidation of the warranty.

■The complaints should be exercised by the dealer. The electric bike should be
properly cleaned before the complaint.
■The warranty repairs are free of charge and are managed by the professional
service. Hand over the valid warranty card filled by the dealer or the proof of the
purchase with the date of purchase for applying the warranty.
■A fully equipped e-bike must be handed over for the complaint purpose (including
accessories – the rechargable battery, charger and the keys).

The modifications of the elctro-installation of the e-bike lead to invalidation of
the warranty (such as chipping = unblocking the speed moderation, installing
the throttle). These modifications also lead to loss of the eligibility of the
movement on the public roads.
Company KOEXIMPO, spol. s r.o. does not take responsibility for any harm, which may be
caused to the owner, including the loss of the time, income, difficulty or complications which
are results of:
■e-bike misusage,
■not following the instructions and safety measures included in these Instructions for use,
■not following the traffic regulations and legal norms that are valid in the country of
usage,
■driving failure,
■not following the usage for which this e-bike is determined,
■secondary origin causes.
The e-bike usage includes common risks and dangers and the owner agrees to take-over them
in their full extent, regardless of their nature. The owner is responsible for any harm that can
be caused to him or to the others related with the e-bike usage.
The owner is not entitled for any compensation from company KOEXIMPO, spol. s r.o. in case
of loss, theft, damage or harm of any kind, which can be related to the e-bike usage.

You can submit the expired electro devices, batteries or rechargable batteries
by the dealer from whom you purchased the goods, without any additional fees.

The symbols illustrated on the right side, which can be stated
directly on the device, its packaging or inside of the Instructions
for use or the warranty card, inform the consumer, that the
stated electro device, battery or rechargable battery is not to
be placed into the municipal waste. The incorrect liquidation of
such a devices may lead to a penalty of the consumer in the
accordance with the law
We focus on the environmentally friendly behaviour. Every e-bike is conside-
red as an electronic device with the rechargable battery as its essential part,
therefore we care about the environmental impact.
WHY RECYCLE?
We produce more than 50 million tons of the electro waste (electro devices, batteries, rechar-
gable batteries) in the whole world yearly. The majority of it can be recycled (used for further
production). Instead, it ends up in municipal waste landfill or even in nature. Some of the
substances contained in those devices, specifically mercury (Hg), lead (Pb) and cadmium
(Cd), are particularly dangerous for human health and the environment. The devices that
contain those elements are marked by the symbol of the individual chemical element. By
recycling the electro devices, batteries and rechargable batteries we can lower the
environmental impact and protect the natural resources.

The warranty inspection is essential to keep the warranty valid. Proceed
with the warranty inspection after driving through 150–200 km or after 3
months of purchasing the e-bike. Non-compliance of the warranty inspecti-
