Safety Instructions when installing
Before use, please install PLC in the environment conditions in
accordance with the specifications in the data sheet.
It may cause an electric shock/fire or incorrect operation.
Please check whether PLC power is off before installing the module.
It may cause an electric shock or damages on a product.
Please check whether each module of PLC is correctly fixed.
If any part of the product is loosely or incorrectly installed, it may cause incorrect
operation, trouble or fall.
Analog I/O signal or pulse I/O cable should be installed, at least,
100mm away from high voltage/power cable so that such cables may
not be affected by noise or magnetic field change.
It may cause incorrect operation due to noise.
If huge vibration exists in the installation place, it is necessary to take a
measure PLC may not be directly subject to the vibration.
It may cause an electric shock/fire or incorrect operation.
It is necessary that no metallic impurities are inserted into the product
if it is installed in a place with metallic impurities.

Safety Instruction for wiring
Before wiring, please check whether the power of PLC and the external
power are disconnected.
It may cause an electric shock or damages on the product
After checking the rated voltage and terminal array of each product,
wire them accurately.
If connecting to a different voltage, not rated voltage, or wiring incorrectly, may cause a
fire or trouble.
Firmly tighten the screws for wiring with a specified torque.
Loosely tightened screw may cause short-circuit or incorrect operation.
Make sure to use the exclusive PLC type 3 grounding for FG terminal
grounding
Without grounding, it may cause incorrect operation.
A special caution should be paid so that no wiring impurities are
inserted into the product during wiring.
It may cause a fire/damages on product or incorrect operation.

Chapter 1. General
Here describes about Rnet network of GLOFA, MASTER-K PLC system specifically. Important
characteristic of Rnet network is reducing the expense of installing and maintenance, diversity of system
configuration, easiness of installing and maintenance, easiness of change of system.
This network supports the electric network (Twisted-pair cable) that is cheap and easy to install for
diversity of network configuration.
And we are supporting the repeater option module for special purpose. The Rnet module can be used in
both GLOFA and MASTER-K PLC and applied diversely according to system.
1) GMWIN V3.0 and KEL-WIN V2.0 are used for this manual.
2) To use GM7-Rnet, you should use more than GMWIN V3.42/GM7 O/S V1.4

RMM: Rnet Master Module⊙
Rnet I/F module equipped at the basic base’s I/O
RSM: Rnet Slave Module⊙
Rnet I/F module equipped at the CPU slot of basic base
※Rnet I/F module and Fnet I/F module use same communication method (RMM does same rule with
FMM, RSM does same rule with FSM.)
⊙Local station
Station that is connected with GMWIN/KGLWIN for the user to monitor/debug the program in the same
network
⊙Remote station
The opposite concept to local station, the other station to communicate with local station
⊙Remote I/O station
Input/output area that the remote communication module of PLC system instead of CPU of PLC
refreshes I/O module mounted on remote station by receiving I/O data from master station.
Rnet⊙
Fieldbus is the lowest network connecting the control device and electric device and adopts the 3 layers
among OSI 7 layer. 3 layers consists of physical layer which consists of H2(1 Mbps electric), H1 (31.23
Kbbs electric), optical, and wireless, etc., the data link layer which adopts scheduled and circulated
token bus, the application layer which plays a role of application, and additional user layer.

The right to transmit data of self station through controlling the right of accessing to physical medium

Station no. of Rnet communication module (G3L-RUEA….etc.) Station no. of Rnet module is set by the
switch attached on the module and this is used on all service including the high-speed link.

⊙Repeater
This is used to extend the distance of cable for electric communication network, extends the distance of
communication with regeneration and amplification of electric communication signal.
Manchester Biphase⊙-L
Data modulation method used in Fnet. Data is encoded and transmitted by using Manchester-l code,
Received data encoded by Manchester will be decoded and converted.
CRC⊙(Cyclic Redundancy Check)
This is the one of error detection methods, which is an error detection method used most frequently for
synchronizing transmission, and also called as cyclic code method.
⊙Terminal resistance
This is used to adjust mutual impedance of transmitting part and receiving part on physical layer, and
terminal resistance of Rnet is 110Ω, 1/2W
⊙High-speed link (HS Link)
This is used among GLOFA PLC communication modules only, and used to transmit and receive data at
high speed, and executes communication by setting high speed link parameter of GMWIN/KGLWIN.
GMWIN⊙(GLOFA PLC Programming and Debugging Tool)
This software enables user to program in order to fit to the system, and to download, run, stop, and
debug in GLOFA PLC CPU module.
KGL⊙-WIN (MASTER-K PLC Programming and Debugging Tool)
This software enables user to program in order to fit to the system, and to download, run, stop, and
debug in MASTER-K PLC CPU module.
FAM⊙(FA Manager)
One of the MMI (Man Machine Interface), software package which is made to monitor the factory through
computer graphic.
Segment⊙
Local network which connects all stations by using the same token, without using any connecting device
(Gateway, EOC, Repeater).
⊙Network
Entire communication system, configured by one segment or more, that uses the same token.
