CSB70 series ultrasonic liquid (material) level gauge is an intelligent non-contact liquid (material) level
measuring instrument. The product has automatic power adjustment, gain control, false target
removal, temperature compensation, etc. It adopts the imported chip processing and advanced
detection and calculation technology from the United States to improve the measurement accuracy of
the instrument and suppress the interference signal to ensure the trueness of the measurement
results. The product can be widely used to measure the level of various liquids and the height of solid
materials, and it can also be used to measure the distance.

After you test or install the meter and power on normally, press the shift key to have an L value (no
need to set, automatic detection), it should be quite the actual air distance (try to detect when the
space is empty or low level, so as to ensure the entire channel Normal work); otherwise, the meter
cannot work normally, and judge whether the installation is reasonable (adjust the installation position,
angle, etc.).

Note: Because the product is constantly updated, the product manual and installation manual cannot
be guaranteed to be consistent with the latest product. If there are changes in the product itself and
the instructions for use, it will not be notified to every customer. If necessary, please contact our sales
staff directly. Changes include but are not limited to the following.
1. Blind zone, performance parameters, function, structure, shape, color, etc. of the product.
2. The function, structure, display mode, and operating habits of the software.
3. Any operation of the hardware must be performed after the power is cut off. If the live operation
causes a short circuit or other fault, it is not covered by the warranty.
The ultrasonic level meter produced by our company, under normal circumstances, according to the
installation requirements of the instructions, after the equipment is installed, you only need to set the
following parameters, the equipment can be used normally.
4. The operation of opening the cover must be performed after the power is turned off, and no liquid
can enter the instrument. If liquid enters and causes failure, it is not covered by the warranty.
There are three keys on the panel, and the instrument can be debugged through these three keys.
The measured value is displayed on the LCD screen after commissioning.
(1) After the meter is powered on, press and hold the SET button for two seconds to enter the first-
level menu.
The menu modes are: expert setting mode and easy setting mode.

(2) Select the measurement mode:
The measurement mode is divided into distance measurement and level measurement. The factory
default is level measurement.
(3) Enter the height value of the probe into the "reference zero point". (Probe height is the distance
from the probe's emitting surface to the tank or tank bottom)
① In the distance measurement mode, the setting of the reference zero point is meaningless. For the
positions of the high range and low range points, please refer to Figure 1.1.
② In the level measurement mode, refer to Figure 1.2 for the positions of the reference zero point, the
high range point, and the low range point.

High range point: The distance from the reference plane to the position. The value is positive when the
high point of the range is higher than the reference plane, and negative when it is lower than the
reference plane. When the liquid level is in this position, 20mA current is output.
① Alarm mode: select high alarm, low alarm or off.
Low range: The distance from the reference plane to the position. The value is positive when the low
point of the range is higher than the reference plane and negative when it is lower than the reference
plane. When the liquid level is in this position, 4mA current is output.
(4) With relay: Enter the alarm setting option and set three parameters:
② Alarm value: high alarm: alarm when the liquid level is higher than the alarm value
Low alarm: alarm when the liquid level is lower than the alarm value
③ Hysteresis value: Hysteresis value is to prevent measurement error from causing the alarm
switch to jump repeatedly near the alarm point.
High alarm state: the alarm will be canceled when the liquid level is lower than (alarm value-return
difference value)
Low alarm state: the alarm will be canceled when the liquid level is higher than (alarm value + return
difference)
(5) Please set the probe selection, parameter calibration and algorithm selection under the guidance of
professional technicians.
(6) After the equipment is installed, it must be truly grounded separately, and not with the common
ground of the electrical box or meter box.
(7) Suggestion: When the ultrasonic level meter is connected with interference equipment such as
inverters and PLCs, an isolation transformer should be added to the power part, and a signal isolator
should be added to the signal part, and reliable grounding should be done.
·The signal line should not be in the same trough with the power line and power line. It should be
installed separately through metal pipes, or installed away from the power line and power lines. At
least 1 meter.
·This is an important reminder, please read it carefully and do it strictly according to the
requirements.

The split type is powered by a 24V power supply. The power consumption without a relay is 100mA,
and with a relay it is 120mA.

For example: a false echo caused by a pipe 6 meters away from the probe is 9 times stronger than a
false echo caused by the same pipe 18 meters away from the probe.
4.2.2 Measurement range selection
The measurement range depends on the range of the ultrasound probe. The range of the ultrasonic
probe depends on the working environment on site, the target to be measured, and the temperature.
According to the table below, you can choose the measurement range you need is a few meters.
The ultrasonic wave speed is focused by the probe, and the emission of the pulse wave speed is like
the speed of light of a flashlight. The farther away from the probe, the larger the diffusion area.
Any object within the emission angle, such as: pipes, supports, welds, stiffeners, stirring propellers,
and objects on the wall, will cause strong false echoes, especially objects closer to the probe within the
emission angle.

Flange mounting, installed in very short nozzles
The most ideal installation is to directly install the instrument on a flat-topped container, without using
a pipe, the circular opening on the container can be sufficient to fix the flange or universal joint for
installation. The probe emission surface is below the reference surface.
▲ The installation on the tank, pool, cover and bracket is basically the same as above.
★ After the probe is installed, the emission surface of the probe must expose the cover plate or the
waveguide. Do not shrink inside the cover or waveguide.
4.2.5 Measuring liquid
4.2.5.1 Flat-top tank
Flat-top tanks generally have a very short tube. The reference surface of the tube is the bottom
surface of the flange. The length of the tube is ≤60mm, the diameter of the tube is ≥100mm, and the
inner wall of the tube is flat without burrs or protrusions. The emission surface can be measured 3cm
below the bottom surface of the flange.
