MAG-200 Dust Collector Set-up
1. Install inlet ange on top of dust collector.
2. Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position (red switch cover closed)
3. Plug in to 110v 60hz outlet
4. Turn on MAG-200 to test
ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS for MAG-200 Series Dust Collector
Generation 2 (October 16,2017 to present)
Cleaning of the MAG-200
1. Remove the yellow bottom cover by unlatching the two catch clamps.
2. The bottom cover collects the grit and dust. Dispose of the grit and dust, then
wipe out the bottom cover. Inspect seals in bottom cover, replace if damaged.
3. Pull the aluminum mesh lter out of the MAG-200. This lter is cleanable, the grit
and dust can be shaken out of this lter. When it is clean, place it back inside of the
MAG-200 as shown to the right. The lter sits at an angle inside the MAG-200 to
block all incoming large grit and sparks from reaching the other lters.
4. Install the yellow bottom cover back onto the MAG-200.
Pleated 3rd Stage Filter Replacement
1. The 3rd stage lter cover of the MAG-200 must be removed to access lters.
2. Remove the three screws to remove the cover. (You may purchase optional yellow thumb
screws at magna-matic.com if you would like tool-less access.)
3. Pull the pleated lter out of the cover - discard and replace with part 200-17 lter.
4. Replace with a new pleated lter ensure air ow direction arrow it is in the correct direction.
5. Gently push the pleated lter into the 3rd stage lter cover and ensure it is seated.
Pad Filter Replacement
6. Remove the four screws and pad lter cover. (Replace with thumb screws if you desire for
tool-less access, available at magna-matic.com)
7. Pull the pad lter out and replace with part 200-15
8. Ensure the white surface is pointed outward and the green surface inward when installing
new pad lter.

Installing the **OPTIONAL** 200-20 Stand Mounting Brackets for hanging the
MAG-200 on the MAG-10400 Series Stands
1. Remove the yellow bottom cover
2. Remove the 5/16-18 bolts and nuts from the MAG-200 body. These bolts/nuts act as plugs if the brackets
are not installed.This hardware is used to connect the brackets to the MAG-200.
3. The brackets interlock - make sure the hook end is pointing downward.
4. The long support bracket ts on the inside to make the bottom bracket more rigid, this bracket shares two
#10 screws from the body.
5. Mount the other two brackets on the MAG-10400 stand, with the hooks facing upward.
6. The hooks will interlock and allow the MAG-200 to hang on the MAG-10400 stand or other surface.
MAG-200 Mounting for MAG-9000 / MAG-8000 / MAG-12008
The best placement on the stand for the MAG-200 is on the right side of the
stand as shown in the two images. This way the hose is out of your way when
sharpening or balancing lawn mower blades. It also provides the best access to
the ON/OFF switch.

Installing the **OPTIONAL** 200-70 Spark Arressting Box
1. Remove the inlet ange
2. Unclamp the base of the 200-70 Spark Box
3. Screw the spark box base where the inlet was with the 4 self-tapping screws
4. Clamp the spark box to the base
5. Screw the inlet to the top of the spark box with the 4 self-tapping screws
The 200-70 Spark Arresting Box is designed to disrupt the ow of sparks and give them more time to cool o as another
layer of re safety for the MAG-200 Dust Collector. While the MAG-200 has an internal spark arresting lter if you are using a
abrasive belt grinder of any kind we require this spark arresting box to give heavy spark ow time to cool before it enters the
dust collector. This spark arresting box was specically designed for knifemakers in mind because of their heavy grinding
needs.
The 200-70 has 5 layers of baes inside, there are 3 closed baes and 2 open baes to disrupt the spark ow and give
a lot of surface area for the sparks to bounce o of to further cool them before they enter the impeller and internal spark
arresting lter of the MAG-200 Dust Collector. The 200-70 is made from all steel and powder coated to last in an industrial
environment.
If you have an extreme spark load multiple spark boxes can be stacked upon each other for even more layers of re safety.
