Please follow the guidance of the manual to set up your radio
and enjoy its fantastic variety of stations and features.

Plug the connector into the back of the system labelled DC 5V
(Ref.13) and the power supply into the mains. Alternatively,
insert 4 x C batteries into the battery compartment for
portability.
Ensure the antenna (Ref.10) is extended as far as possible so that
you can rotate it. This will enable you to get the best signal you
can. At the back of the radio, switch the ON/OFF toggle to “ON”
(Ref.11).
Press the ‘Standby/Mode’ button to turn on the unit (Ref.1).
When the radio is activated for the rst time, the radio will allow
you to select your chosen language. Afterwards, the radio will
begin to scan for available DAB stations.
If this does not occur, refer to page 6. To scroll through the
stations, use the‘Previous or ‘Next’ (Ref.6/9) buttons. Press the
‘Enter’ button (Ref.8) to listen to a station.
In DAB mode, the radio will synchronize with the time and date
of the station.
To change the mode, press the‘Standby/Mode’button (Ref.1).
Standby
To switch your radio to Standby mode, press and hold the
Standby/Mode button. To turn on the radio, simply press the
Standby/Mode button.

Press the ‘Standby/Mode’ button (Ref.1) to switch to DAB/DAB+
Radio. On rst use it will automatically scan all stations and save
them.
Fully extend the antenna (Ref.10).
The radio should have scanned in the DAB stations upon original
set up. If you would like to rescan, press and hold the ‘Info/Menu’
button (Ref.4) to open DAB settings. Scroll through to the “Full
Scan” option and select with the ‘Enter’ button (Ref.8). After
searching has nished it will automatically play the rst station
stored.
To browse through all stations that have been stored, use the
‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) to scroll through them.
When on the chosen station, press the‘Enter’ button (Ref.8) to
begin listening to that station.
The radio will display station information when you press the
‘Info/Menu’ button (Ref.4). Press multiple times to view all
information available (See page 8).
When you turn the radio on again after it switching o, it will
automatically tune to the same mode (DAB, FM or Bluetooth)
that was last selected.

How to store a preset DAB station
To be able to quickly access your favourite DAB stations, you can
preset the stations. Up to 10 dierent preset stations can be set
for you to browse between.
To store a station as your preset, it is best to be listening to the
station at the time.
Once listening to the station, press and hold the ‘Preset’ button
(Ref.3) for 2-3 seconds until the Preset Store settings open,
and “Preset Store <1: (Empty)”displays to show empty preset 1.
Release the ‘Preset’ button.
Press the ‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ (Ref.6/9) buttons to change the
“<1” to the number you want to store the station as. Follow by
pressing the ‘Enter’ button (Ref.8) to save to that preset number.
Once the station is saved as a preset, the display will then show
“Preset (x) stored”.
How to play a preset radio station
To play your preset radio stations, press the‘Preset’ button
(Ref.3) to open Preset Recall settings. Do not hold down the
button as this will open Preset Store settings.
Press the ‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) to scroll through
your preset stations from 1-10.
Once you have found the preset station you wish to play, press
the ‘Enter’ button (Ref.8) to select your choice. The station will
now begin to play.

When you are listening to a DAB/DAB+ radio station with good
signal, you can press the ‘Info/Menu’ button (Ref.4) repeatedly to
show the dierent programme information.
Signal Strength: Displays a signal bar with the strength of the
current station.
Bit Error Rate: Provides details of the signal error rate.
Channel and Frequency: Displays the station’s transmission
channel number and frequency.
PTY (Programme Type): Shows the type and description of the
program provided by the DAB station.
Time and Date: Displays the time and date information
provided by the broadcaster.
Bit Rate: The data rate which the signal is being transmitted.
DAB indication: Indicates DAB mode.
Dynamic Label Segment (DLS): Displays scrolling text
information supplied by the broadcaster.

Press the ‘Standby/Mode’ button (Ref.1) multiple times to switch
between DAB, FM and Bluetooth. The rst time you do this, the
FM frequency “87.5 MHz” will be displayed on the screen.
Fully extend the antenna (Ref.10).
To scan for the available stations with good signal, press and
hold the ‘Next’ (>) button (Ref.9) for the radio to begin scanning
up the frequency band. The next available station will then
begin to play.
To scan down the frequency band, press and hold the ‘Previous’
(<) button (Ref.6) for a few seconds.
The radio will display station information when you press the
‘Info/Menu’ button (Ref.4). Press multiple times to view all
information available (See page 12).
To tune a specic frequency manually
To tune to a specic frequency, use the‘Previous’ (<) or ‘Next’ (>)
buttons (Ref.6/9) to search forward or back slowly through the
FM bandwidth.

FM Scan Setting
Choose between scanning strong and weak signals (All) or only
the strong stations (Only).
Press and hold the ‘Info/Menu’ button (Ref.4).To make your
choice, use the‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) to choose
your option.
Select “Scan Setting”and press the ‘Enter’ button (Ref.8).
Use the ‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) to choose between
“All” or “Only”. Press the‘Enter’ button (Ref.8) to conrm your
choice.
Mono and Stereo
In working mode, press the ‘Enter’ button (Ref.8) multiple times
to switch between‘Set to Mono’ or ‘Set to Stereo’.

How to store a preset FM station

Station Information for FM Radio
When you are listening to a FM station with good signal, you
can press the ‘Info/Menu’ button (Ref.4) repeatedly to show the
dierent programme information.
Programme Type: Displays a description of the type of
programme provided by the broadcaster.
Signal Strength: Displays a signal bar with the strength of the
current station.
Time and Date: Displays the time and the date.
Frequency: Displays the station’s transmission frequency.
Audio Type: Displays the audio type of the station you are
listening to. It will either be stereo or mono.
Radio Text: Displays scrolling text information supplied by the
broadcaster.

To choose Bluetooth mode, press the‘Standby/Mode’button
(Ref.) repeatedly until Bluetooth mode is selected.
Go to Bluetooth settings on your device and ensure that it is
switched on. “Majority Shelford” should then display in available
devices. Select this option to connect to it and the screen will
display “Connected”.
To choose the music you wish to play, you will need to choose
the album or playlist from your device.
The next or previous track can be controlled from your Blue-
tooth device or from the radio by using the Next (>) or Previous
buttons (<) (Ref./).
Play/Pause the media playing from your Bluetooth device with
the Enter/Play/Pause button on the radio (Ref.).

Once the radio has been put into DAB mode, the time and date
should automatically set. If this does not happen or you wish to
alter the time and date, follow the below guidance:
Manually Setting the time
Ensure the unit is turned on.
To enter radio settings, press and hold the ‘Info/Menu’ button
(Ref.4).
Use the ‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) to scroll through to
“Time/Date” and press the ‘Enter’ button (Ref.8) to conrm the
choice.
Once this option is selected, the hour will ash on the display
screen. You can now alter the time hour by pressing the
‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) until the required hour is
displayed. To conrm the hour, press the ‘Enter’ button (Ref.8).
The minutes will ash on the display screen. Press the ‘Previous’
or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) until the required minute is displayed.
To conrm the minute, press‘Enter’ (Ref.8).
The time is now set and you will be able to alter the date in the
next step.

Manually Setting the Date
The date can be changed straight after changing the time.
The year will ash on the display screen. To change the date year,
press the ‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) until the required
year is displayed.
To conrm the year, press the ‘Enter’ button (Ref.8).
The month will ash on the display screen. Use the ‘Previous’or
‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) until the required month is displayed.
To conrm the month, press ‘Enter’ (Ref.8).
The day will then ash on the display screen. Use the ‘Previous’ or
‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) until the required date is displayed.
To conrm the date, press‘Enter’ (Ref.8).

1. Press the ‘Alarm/Sleep’button (Ref.7) once for Alarm 1 or
twice for Alarm 2. Press the ‘Enter’ button (Ref.8) to conrm the
alarm you wish to set.
2. Once alarm 1 or 2 are selected, OFF will display on the screen.
To turn the alarm on, use the ‘Next’ button (Ref.9) to make “ON”
ash on the display. Press the‘Enter’ button (Ref.8) to conrm
the alarm switch on.
3. The hour digits for the alarm will ash. To set the hour you
want the alarm to sound, press the ‘Previous’or ‘Next’ buttons
(Ref.6/9) to browse to the hour and press the ‘Enter’ button
(Ref.8) to conrm your choice.
4. The minutes of the alarm are now able to be set. Using the
‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9), scroll up and down the
minutes and press the‘Enter’ (Ref.8) button to conrm.
5. You can now choose whether you would like to set the alarm
as ‘Once/Daily/Weekdays/Weekend’ by using the ‘Previous’ or
‘Next’ buttons to scroll through. Press ‘Enter’ to conrm choice.
6. Once the alarm time is set, you can change the alarm volume
by pressing the‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) to choose
the noise level. Press the ‘Enter’ (Ref.8) button to conrm.
7. You can now choose the alarm tone sound. Press the ‘Previous’
or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9) to change between which sound
you would like: Alarm, DAB or FM Radio. Press ‘Enter’ (Ref.8) to
conrm.

To Cancel Alarm 1 or Alarm 2
To cancel the alarm, press the ‘Alarm/Sleep’button (Ref.7) once
for Alarm 1 or twice for Alarm 2. Press the‘Enter’ button (Ref.8)
to conrm.
To turn the Alarm on or o, use the‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons
(Ref.6/9) so that “OFF” is ashing and press the ‘Enter’ button
(Ref.8) to conrm.
Snooze/Switch o Alarm when sounding
When the alarm sounds, press any button except ‘Standby/Mode’
(Ref.1) or ‘Alarm/Sleep’ (Ref.7) to snooze the alarm for 9 minutes.
The radio will go into standby mode.
To turn the alarm o completely when sounding, press the
‘Standby/Mode’ (Ref.1) or ‘Alarm/Sleep’ button (Ref.7).
If you do not turn the alarm o or put it on snooze, the alarm will
sound for 9 minutes before it turns o automatically.

Sleep setting
This enables you to programme the radio to switch o at a
selection of set times up to 120 minutes from activation.
Press and hold the ‘Alarm/Sleep’ button (Ref.7).
Choose from 120/90/60/45/30/15/5 mins or OFF using the
‘Previous’ or ‘Next’ buttons (Ref.6/9).
When your choice is displayed, press the ‘Enter’ button (Ref.8).
The system will automatically start the timer.
To turn the sleep timer o, follow the above instructions and
choose “OFF”from the choices.
Once the timer has been set, the minutes will countdown on
the display screen. For example, if set to turn o in 5 minutes,
“S5” will ash, counting down to“S0” when the radio will go into
standby mode.
