FOR BUILT-IN BATTERY
1. Before using built-in battery, read all instructions
and cautionary markings on (1) battery charger,
(2) battery, and (3) product using battery.
2. Do not disassemble built-in battery.
3. If operating time has become excessively
shorter, stop operating immediately. It may
result in a risk of overheating, possible burns
and even an explosion.
4. If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse them
out with clear water and seek medical atten-
tion right away. It may result in loss of your
eyesight.
5. Do not short the built-in battery:
(1) Do not touch the terminals with any con-
ductive material.
(2) Avoid storing built-in battery in a con-
tainer with other metal objects such as
nails, coins, etc.
(3) Do not expose built-in battery to water or
rain.

Tips for maintaining maximum
battery life
1. Charge the built-in battery before completely
discharged.
Always stop appliance operation and charge
the built-in battery when you notice less appli-
ance power.
2. Never recharge a fully charged built-in battery.
Overcharging shortens the battery service life.
3. Charge the built-in battery with room tempera-
ture at 10°C - 40°C (50°F - 104°F). Let a hot
built-in battery cool down before charging it.
4. Charge the built-in battery once in every six
months if you do not use the appliance for a
long period of time.

starts. The light goes out after the charging is complete.

NOTICE: The battery power lamp blinks and the
battery cannot be charged if the battery or cleaner
is exposed to extreme temperatures.

NOTE: The cleaner cannot be controlled while being
charged. To start the cleaner, unplug the charger from
the power source, disconnect the charging plug from
the cleaner, and then push the ON/speed change
button.
NOTE: Under the following conditions, the battery is
about to reach its end of life (or damaged/malfunc-
tioned). Unplug the charger from the power supply,
then replace the battery.
• The battery power lamp goes out shortly after
you begin to charge the cleaner.
• The cleaner works only for a period shorter than
half of the normal operating time after the bat-
tery has been fully charged.
NOTE: The battery can be recharged up to approx-
imately 500 times. The rechargeable times vary
depending on the conditions under which the battery
has been charged and discharged.

Battery power lamp
When the remaining battery capacity gets low, the
battery power lamp blinks.
When the remaining battery capacity gets much lower,
the cleaner stops and the battery power lamp lights up
about 10 seconds. At this time, charge the battery.
Also when the battery gets overloaded or overheated,
the cleaner stops and the battery power lamp lights up
about 10 seconds. The cleaner does not actuate during
the lamp on.

NOTE: The time at which the battery power lamp start
blinking or lighting up depends on the temperature at
work place and the battery conditions.
Lighting up the lamp
CAUTION: Do not look in the light or see the
source of light directly.
To turn on the lamp, push the ON/speed change button.

OPERATION

Installing or removing the cleaner
attachment
CAUTION: After installing an attachment,
check if it is securely installed. If the attachment

the wall etc. when removing the attachment.
When using attachment with lock
function
To install an attachment, insert it to the suction inlet of
the cleaner until it clicks. Make sure that the attachment
is locked.

Troubleshooting
Before asking for repairs, check the following points.

Removing built-in battery
CAUTION: Do not touch the terminals with
any conductive material.
CAUTION: Avoid storing battery unit in a
container with other metal objects such as nails,
coins, etc.
CAUTION: Do not expose battery unit to
water or rain.
CAUTION: Do not disassemble or alter bat-
tery unit.
CAUTION: The cleaner must be disconnected
from the supply mains when removing the battery.
1. To remove the rear cover, push it in the direction of
the arrow.

lead wires from the battery by slightly moving back the
battery while pressing the connector in the direction of

that it is not circuit-shorted.
Installing replacement battery
To install the replacement battery, follow the removal
procedure in reverse.
CAUTION: Route the lead so that it is com-
pletely stored inside the cleaner before putting
the rear cover back in the original position. Failure
to do this may damage the lead.

About the cyclone attachment
Using the cleaner with the cyclone attachment installed
reduces the amount of dust that enters the dust bag,
which helps to prevent the suction force from weaken-
ing. In addition, cleaning after use is also simple.

Disposing of dust
When dust has accumulated up to the full line of the
dust case, follow the procedure below and dispose of
the dust.

Conseils pour assurer la durée de vie
optimale de la batterie
1. Chargez la batterie intégrée avant qu’elle ne
soit complètement déchargée.
Arrêtez toujours l’appareil et chargez la bat-
terie intégrée quand vous remarquez que la
puissance de l’appareil diminue.
2. Ne rechargez jamais une batterie intégrée
complètement chargée.
La surcharge réduit la durée de service de la batterie.
3. Chargez la batterie intégrée à une température
ambiante comprise entre 10 °C et 40 °C. Avant de char-
ger une batterie intégrée chaude, laissez-la refroidir.
4. Chargez la batterie intégrée une fois tous les
six mois si vous n’utilisez pas l’appareil pen-
dant une période prolongée.

REMARQUE : Le témoin de charge de la batterie
clignote et la batterie ne peut pas être chargée
si la batterie ou l’aspirateur sont exposés à des
températures extrêmes.
NOTE : Il est impossible de commander l’aspirateur
pendant la charge. Pour mettre en marche l’aspirateur,
débranchez le chargeur de la source d’alimentation,

appuyez sur le bouton Marche/Changement de vitesse.
NOTE : Dans les conditions suivantes, la batterie est

endommagée/fonctionne mal). Débranchez le chargeur
de la source d’alimentation, puis remplacez la batterie.
• Le témoin de charge de la batterie s’éteint peu
de temps après que vous commencez à charger
l’aspirateur.
• L’aspirateur fonctionne uniquement pendant

fonctionnement normale après que la batterie a
été complètement chargée.
NOTE : La batterie peut être rechargée jusqu’à 500
fois environ. Le nombre de recharges dépend des

Fonctionnement de la gâchette
ATTENTION : Éteignez toujours l’aspirateur
après chaque utilisation pour éviter de l’endomma-
ger et prolonger la durée de service des batteries.

Changement de vitesse. Pour l’éteindre, appuyez sur le bouton Arrêt.

Lorsque la charge restante de la batterie diminue, le
témoin de charge de la batterie clignote.
Si la charge restante de la batterie diminue encore plus, l’aspirateur
s’arrête et le témoin de charge de la batterie s’allume pendant
environ 10 secondes. Le moment est venu de charger la batterie.

Allumage de la lampe
ATTENTION : Évitez de regarder directement
le faisceau lumineux ou sa source.
Pour allumer la lampe, appuyez sur le bouton Marche/Changement
de vitesse. Appuyez sur le bouton Arrêt pour éteindre la lampe. La
lampe s’allume pendant le fonctionnement de l’aspirateur.
