Assembly Instructions
1. Carefully unpack the contents in which your TableTop TeleMe was shipped. DO NOT throw
away the shipping materials. Store them safely so they can be used to ship or transport your
TableTop in the future.
2. Identify the parts in the picture below. The only tool required to assemble your TeleMe is a #1
Phillips screwdriver. Parts D, E, and F are only included if you purchased the Floor Base with
Mast Extension option. Part G (not shown below) is the optional battery module installed in the
base of Part A.

Assembly without Floor Base and Mast Extension
1. Protruding from bottom of device holder (B) is a male connector. Protruding from top of base
pole (A) is a female connector. Plug male connector from device holder (B) into female
connector of base pole (A). See picture below.
2. Slide pole of device holder (B) all the way down
over the base pole (A) while aligning the two screw
holes in both (A) and (B).

3. Using a #1 Phillips screw driver, screw two of the provided screws (C) into the pole of device
holder (B) to secure it to base pole (A).
4. Plug in the supplied AC/DC power adapter to the connector located in the cavity on the
underside of the TableTop base. Plug the other end of the power supply cord to a wall outlet.

rectangular shaped battery module on the underside of the base. Slide the battery module out,
connect the wire connector from the battery module to the wire connector inside the
compartment, and then slide the battery module back in. Put the two screws back holding the
battery module in place.

Assembly with Floor Base and Mast Extension
1. If the optional internal battery option was purchased it was already shipped installed into your
unit. However, the battery was disconnected for shipping. Remove the two screws holding the
rectangular shaped battery module on the underside of the TeleMe base (A). Slide the battery
module out, connect the wire connector from the battery module to the wire connector inside
the compartment, and then slide the battery module back in. Put the two screws back holding
the battery module in place.
2. Align the feet of TeleMe base (A) with holes in the Floor Base (F) as shown in the picture below.

Using thumb screw (E) attach the Floor base to the TeleMe base as shown below.

3. Protruding from bottom of mast (D) is a male connector. Protruding from top of base pole (A) is
a female connector. Plug male connector from mast (D) into female connector of base (A). See
picture below.

Installing User Device
1. Install your tablet or smartphone into the device holder (B). If your device holder has the
charging connector at the bottom, slide in the tablet as shown below.

If your device holder has the charging connector on the side, slide in the tablet in the two step
process shown below. Then make sure you turn the lock connector on the back.
Slide tablet all the way down first and then slide towards the charging connector and connect.
On the backside of the device holder, rotate the
lock in the direction of the “L”.

WARNING: When installing your tablet or smartphone to the device holder,
PLEASE ensure that it is plugged all the way into the device holder and is fully
mated with the docking connector inside the bottom or side of the device
holder. Improper installation could result in your device falling out of the
holder and breaking!!!

Quick Start (when using Android tablets)
The instructions below are a quick outline for getting your TableTop TeleMe up and running.
1. Turn ON the TableTop by pressing the Power ON/OFF push button on the front of the device
holder. Initially, a single beep will be heard and the LED will turn on and blink. After
approximately a minute, a series of ascending tones will be heard indicating that the TableTop
has booted up.

2. Ensure your tablet has the Wifi enabled and configured. Also, configure the Android tablet so
that no lock screen is used. Then, go to Google Play Store and search for ‘mantarobot’.
Download and install the ‘The MantaroBot TeleMe Robot Application’ on to your Android tablet.

3. After installation is complete, run the application and the following window will be displayed. If
Bluetooth is not enabled on your tablet, the application should automatically request
permission to turn the Bluetooth on. If it does not, please manually turn on Bluetooth.
4. Now, the Bluetooth connection from the tablet to the Tabletop TeleMe must be established.
Select ‘Bot Management’ on the left and then press ‘Scan for Device’. The Bluetooth scan will
begin and populate the list with available Bluetooth devices in your vicinity as shown below.

5. Select your TableTop TeleMe once you see it listed in the display (in this example,
tabletopteleme05 is shown) and press the ‘Connect to Device’ button.
6. If it’s the first time the tablet is being paired to this TableTop, a small window may be displayed
asking for permission to connect to the desired TableTop (see picture below). Press OK after
verifying that the correct device has been selected (tabletopteleme05 in this example).
7. When the connection is successful, the application will say ‘Connected’ as shown below.

8. Select ‘Status’ on the left, and the app will display that the MCS Admin Connection as ACTIVE,
and MCS Controller Connection as DISCONNECTED as shown.
9. To activate the MCS Controller Connection, the MantaroBot Communications Service (MCS)
subscription key must be loaded into the application. An email with the MCS key should have
been sent from MantaroBot Support if the subscription plan was purchased. Download and
store the key in downloads folder of your Android tablet.
10. Select ‘Settings Tab’ on the left in the TeleMe Robot Application and press ‘Search for Activation
File’ button.
11. When the application successfully finds the MCS keys, the application will redirect to the status
window and a message saying “Activation Key found. Reconnecting with new credentials.” will
be displayed.

12. The ‘Status’ tab should now display ACTIVE for MCS Admin and Controller Connection and
CONNECTED for Bluetooth Connection.
If the application cannot find the MCS activation key in the Downloads folder, it will fail with the
following message. Make sure the activation file is in downloads folder and try again.
13. Next, the TableTop’s pan and the device holder’s tilt need to be calibrated. The tilt calibration is
different for each device holder. The information sheet that came with the product should have
the TableTop pan calibration value and the device holder tilt calibration value. Open the
‘Settings’ tab again and you will see the current Pan and Tilt correction values. For both the pan
and tilt correction, use the calibration values provided in your information sheet. Change the
numbers by pressing Left/Right for Pan and Up/Down for Tilt. In the example pictured below,
the pan correction value is 6 and tilt correction value is -5.
