FUNCTIONALITY OF TOUCH SCREEN BUTTONS
These four buttons shown below control the setting and operation of the heater.
The buttons are printed on the display and will remain visible after the heater has
been turned off.

Caution: It is not necessary to push/press the buttons with force to work.
They are sensitive to touch, not pressure.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
When the heater is rst powered up, it will default to ON. The green power
indicator LED light will illuminate as long as there is power to the heater.
INITIAL SETUP INSTRUCTIONS (Performed by the installer)
If the unit is OFF, touch POWER button located on the display. The LCD
backlight will illuminate.
NOTE: If the heater is in the stand by mode (where display backlight is off),
touching any button will illuminate the backlight, display icons and operating
buttons. Touching the POWER button when the heater is in stand by mode
will illuminate the backlight. Touching the POWER button again will turn the
heater off. Power is still live to the heater when the display is OFF.
INSTRUCTIONS TO SET DAY / TIME (Performed by the installer)
NOTE: The display will automatically save the setting after a 30 second pause
and return to previous operating setting. If this occurs, start back at Step 1 of
these instructions.

NOTE: If user touches the POWER button at any point during setup proce-
dure, the display will automatically save setting and return to previous operating
setting.
1. Simultaneously touch and hold the UP button and DOWN button for
1.5 seconds. A beep will sound and the Day indicator at the top of the display
will ash.
2. Using the UP button or DOWN button adjust to appropriate DAY of
week.
3. Touch the MODE button. AM / PM indicator will ash. Use the UP
button and DOWN button to set appropriate time. AM / PM will change
automatically once you pass 12:00.
4. Touch the MODE button. MINUTES will ash. Use the UP button and
DOWN button to set MINUTES to the appropriate time.

5. After the last parameter is set, touch the MODE button to lock in your
settings.
NOTE: If this setup is performed by the installer, power down the unit by touch-
ing the POWER button if no other programming will be done at this time.
USER SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
This heater is equipped with default settings for the “Automatic Mode”. Settings
are shown in the following list. If these settings are satisfactory, skip to the next
programming option, Celsius and Fahrenheit (page 13). If not, follow the steps
listed for “Ready, Set, Go Programming”.

Ready, Set, Go Programming
NOTE: You can customize ON and OFF times and temperature for two
categories, Weekdays (MON - FRI) and Weekends (SAT & SUN). Each category
has 4 settings.
Wake-Up Daytime Evening Sleep
Set a start time and temperature for each period.
1. To start setup, simultaneously touch and hold the POWER button and
MODE button for 1.5 seconds. MON through FRI will display with the
hour and . This is your Wake-Up time.
2. Touch MODE button once to start programming the HOURS for
. Touch either the UP button or the DOWN button to set the hour
for start time.
3. Touch MODE button again to program the MINUTES for
(Wake-Up). Touch the UP button or DOWN button to set the
minute for the start time.

4. Touch MODE button again to start programming the “Set Temperature
Setting” (Wake-Up). Touch the UP button or the DOWN button to set
temperature for (Wake Up).
5. Touch MODE button to start programming the HOURS for (Daytime).
Repeat steps 1-4 for the remaining 3 periods.
6. When nished programing the Weekdays, touch MODE button to start
programming the HOURS for Weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Touch either
the UP button or the DOWN button to set start time in hours.
7. Repeat steps 1 through 4 Weekend Periods.
8. Once the previous steps are completed, Touch MODE button to apply the
programmed settings. The display is now ready for Normal/Standard
operation.

HOLD MODE OR VACATION MODE (Also useful for freeze protection)
Touch MODE button once to activate the display and touch the MODE
button again until the HOLD indicator appears. Touch the UP button or the
DOWN button to select the desired temperature. The HOLD indicator will
ash for 3 seconds. After 3 seconds, the heater will enter HOLD mode. In order
to exit out of the HOLD mode, the user has to press the MODE button.
NOTE: During HOLD mode, default settings along with the automatic rotation
of the 4 periods will be disabled. The heater will operate from the current setting,
where the setpoint can be adjusted.
NOTE: The last setting from the HOLD mode is not saved after exiting.

CELSIUS OR FAHRENHEIT
1. Simultaneously touch and hold MODE button and DOWN button for
1.5 seconds. Notice either the ºC symbol or the ºF symbol will be
illuminated. Touch both buttons again to toggle back and forth from Cº to Fº.
2. The display will BEEP to conrm the temperature scale (If the volume is not
set to silence/mute).
LOCK OUT FEATURE
Touch and hold POWER button and DOWN button simultaneously for
1.5 seconds. The LOCK OUT symbol will illuminate. Touch and hold both
buttons again to toggle LOCK OUT indicator ON or LOCK OUT indicator
OFF. The display will BEEP to conrm activation or deactivation of the lock out
feature (if the volume is not set to silence/mute).
NOTE: With the LOCK OUT indicator ON, the unit is locked (the POWER
button is functional, the other buttons normal functions are disabled).

NIGHT LIGHT OPERATION
Touch and hold MODE button and UP button simultaneously for 1.5
seconds. Notice that the NIGHT LIGHT indicator will be visible and the
backlight will illuminate at 100% brightness. Touch both buttons again and the
NIGHT LIGHT indicator and backlight will turn OFF. The display will BEEP
to conrm activation or deactivation of the NIGHT LIGHT feature.
Tip: For temporary NIGHT LIGHT, touch any of the remote control buttons
(except OFF) and the display backlight will illuminate for 30 seconds -OR,
instead of using the remote control to illuminate the display backlight, you can
simply touch any button on the unit display once and get the same results. Touch-
ing the POWER button when the heater is in stand by mode will illuminate
the backlight. Touching the POWER button again will turn the heater off.

REMOTE CONTROL
The remote control will control your heater from a distance no more than 12 feet
away from the unit. When pointing the device it must be in line of sight in order
to operate correctly. The remote will not program your heater. It will only turn
the heater ON or OFF and adjust the set temperature UP or DOWN.

There are only four buttons that are active:

temperature (located bottom left)

NOTE: Should you misplace your remote; the operation of your heater can be
controlled at the heater display.

FAN ONLY OPERATION (No Heat)
This heater can also be used as a FAN ONLY device. Heat will not be generated,
but the ventilator fan will operate to circulate the air.
1. Touch the MODE button until you see the FAN icon illuminate and
ash.
2. Use the UP button or DOWN button to increase or decrease the fan
speed.
NOTE: The fan icon will ash for 3 seconds. After 3 seconds, the heater will en-
ter Fan Only mode. Touching the MODE button again will switch the heater
to another operation.

VOLUME CONTROL
This heater allows you to control the volume of the indicator beep. To do so,
follow these instructions.
1. Make sure the display is OFF.
2. Simultaneously touch the POWER button and MODE button until
either a 2, 1 or 0 is displayed. 2= HIGH , 1= LOW, 0= OFF.
3. Press the UP button or DOWN button to make a selection between 2
(HIGH), 1 (LOW) or 0 (OFF).
4. After the desired volume is set, touch the POWER button or MODE
button to exit the volume adjustment menu; OR do not touch any button for
30 seconds to lock in your selection.

THERMAL LIMIT CONTROL (Manual Reset)
NOTE: The unit features a manual reset Thermal Limit Control that will auto-
matically turn the heater OFF to prevent a re should the unit overheat due to
an abnormal condition such as the heater exhaust being blocked. All buttons,
button combinations, and button operations will be disabled during the event of
an abnormal condition. Should this device activate, the alarm will sound 10 times
initially and then beep 10 times every 2.5 minutes and a red warning light will
illuminate on the display.
To reset the unit, inspect the unit to determine cause of the abnormal condition
and remove blockages if present. Allow the unit to cool, the red warning light
will begin ashing to signal the heater is ready to be reset. Touch and hold the
POWER button and UP button for 1.5 seconds. The unit will return to
normal operation.
CAUTION!: The activation of the Thermal Limit Control and red warning light
occurs when the heater overheats. Check heater to make sure there is no block-
age of the heater discharge – if so, remove the blockage. If there is no blockage,
