1. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek Connect
VH51™! This device allows you to convert and upscale a VGA
signal with stereo audio to an HDMI signal. This is ideal when you
want to connect a video source with a VGA output (such as a PC)
to an HDTV or projector with an HDMI input. With built-in zoom
function to fit the image size.
Marmitek products are manufactured with the utmost care and are
exceptionally high quality. Please read this manual carefully and
follow the instructions in order to get the best from this product.

4. INSTALLATION
Before installation:
xTurn off all devices (HDTV and video source) before
connecting them to the Connect VH51™. If a device cannot
be turned off, please remove the plug from the socket.
xOnly use High Speed HDMI® certified cables for the best
picture and sound quality. Using too much force to connect
or disconnect the HDMI cables may damage them.
1. Use a VGA cable to connect the video source (such as a PC)
to the VGA input marked "VGA".
2. Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDTV or projector to the
HDMI output marked "HDMI".

3. Set the built-in selector switch to the desired output
resolution, 720p or 1080p.
4. If necessary, use the built-in zoom function to fit the image
size.
5. The Connect VH51™ is energy efficient and is powered by
the connected HDMI devices. No power adapter is required.
5. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No (or poor) image and sound
If you experience a poor picture or no picture after connecting the
HDMI converter, please try to identify the problem by connecting
the video source directly to a screen (PC monitor or projector).
This allows you to determine whether the problem is with the
video source, the VGA cable, the HDMI converter or the screen.
xIf the connected HDMI device does not provide 5V power via
the HDMI cable, you need to power the HDMI converter via
the USB cable. Use the supplied USB power cable and plug
it into any available USB port on your other devices, or use a
standard USB power adapter.
xFor the best picture and sound quality, only use High Speed
HDMI® certified cables.
xDo not use HDMI cables longer than those specified in the
technical data.
xCheck the HDMI and VGA cables and/or connectors for
damage.

mit Stereo Audio in ein HDMI-Signal um. Ideal, wenn Sie eine
Videoquelle mit VGA Ausgang (z.B. einen PC) an einen HDTV
oder Projektor mit HDMI Eingang anschließen möchten. Mit
eingebauter Zoom-Funktion um das Bildformat passend zu
machen.
Die Produkte Marmiteks werden mit großer Sorgfalt hergestellt

3. VORZÜGE
xKonvertieren Sie ein VGA Signal (und Stereo Audio) in ein
HDMI Signal (720p/ 1080p)

4. INSTALLATION
Bevor Sie beginnen:
xSchalten Sie alle Geräte (HDTV und Videoquelle) zunächst
aus, bevor Sie diese an den Connect VH51™ anschließen.
Entfernen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, falls dieser
nicht ausgeschaltet werden kann.
xVerwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und
Tonqualität ausschließlich High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte
Kabel. Verwenden Sie wenig Kraft, um die HDMI Kabel
anzuschließen oder loszukoppeln; diese könnten sonst
beschädigen.

1. Verbinden Sie die Videoquelle (beispielsweise den PC) mit
einem VGA Kabel mit dem Ausgang mit der Bezeichnung
“VGA“.
2. Verbinden Sie den HDTV oder Projektor mit einem HDMI
Kabel an einen HDMI Ausgang mit der Bezeichnung "HDMI“
an.
3. Stellen Sie den eingebauten Wahlschalter auf die
gewünschte Videoauflösung ein: 720p oder 1080p.
4. Verwenden Sie, wenn nötig, die Zoom-Fumktion, um das
Bildformat anzupassen.
5. Der Connect VH51™ ist ein energieeffizientes Gerät und
verwendet die Speisung der angeschlossenen HDMI Geräte.
Ein Speisungsadapter wird nicht benötigt.
5. HÄUFIG GESTELLTE FRAGEN
Kein (oder schlechtes) Bild und Ton
Wenn Sie nach dem Anschließen des HDMI Converters
(Umwandler) kein, oder ein schlechtes Bild empfangen, versuchen
Sie dann, die Videoquelle unmittelbar an einen Bildschirm
anzuschließen (PC Monitor oder Projektor). Auf diese Art können
Sie ermitteln, ob das Problem an der Videoquelle, dem VGA
Kabel, HDMI Converter oder dem Bildschirm entsteht.
xWenn das angeschlossene HDMI Gerät keine 5V Speisung
über das HDMI Kabel liefert, müssen Sie den HDMI
Converter über das USB Kabel mit Strom versehen.
Verwenden Sie dazu das enthaltene USB Speisungskabel
und schließen Sie dieses an einen willkürlichen, freien USB
Anschluss Ihrer übrigen Geräte an oder verwenden Sie einen
regulären USB Speisungsadapter.
xVerwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und
Tonqualität ausschließlich High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte
Kabel.
xVerwenden Sie keine HDMI Kabel, die länger sind als in den
technischen Daten aufgeführt
xÜberprüfen Sie das HDMI- und VGA Kabel und/oder
Anschlüsse auf Beschädigungen.

4. INSTALLATION
Conseils d'installation:
xEteignez tous les appareils (téléviseur HD et source vidéo)
avant de les connecter au Connect VH51™. S'il n'est pas
possible de les éteindre, débranchez la prise de courant
xUtilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés HDMI® High Speed
pour obtenir la meilleure qualité d'image et de son. Ne forcez
pas pour connecter ou déconnecter les câbles HDMI,
autrement cela pourrait les endommager.

5. FOIRE AUX QUESTIONS
Pas d'image (ou image de mauvaise qualité) ni de son
Si après avoir connecté le convertisseur HDMI vous n'avez pas
d'image ou l'image est de mauvaise qualité, essayez de trouver la
cause du problème en connectant la source vidéo directement à
un écran (moniteur de PC ou projecteur). Vous pourrez ainsi
déterminer si le problème provient de la source vidéo, des câbles
VGA, du convertisseur HDMI ou de l'écran.
xSi l'appareil HDMI connecté ne fournit une alimentation de
5V par le biais du câble HDMI, vous devrez alimenter le
convertisseur HDMI par le biais du câble USB. Utilisez pour
cela le câble d'alimentation USB fourni et connectez-le sur
n'importe quel port USB disponible sur l'un de vos appareils
ou utilisez un adaptateur secteur USB standard.
xUtilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés HDMI® High Speed
pour obtenir la meilleure qualité d'image et de son.
xN'utilisez pas de câbles HDMI qui soient plus longs que ce
qui est spécifié dans les caractéristiques techniques.

l’Union européenne
La directive européenne 2002/96/CE exige que l’équipement
sur lequel est apposé ce symbole sur le produit et/ou son
emballage ne soit pas jeté avec les autres ordures ménagères.
Ce symbole indique que le produit doit être éliminé dans un
circuit distinct de celui pour les déchets des ménages. Il est de votre
responsabilité de jeter ce matériel ainsi que tout autre matériel électrique ou
électronique par les moyens de collecte indiqués par le gouvernement et
les pouvoirs publics des collectivités territoriales. L’élimination et le
recyclage en bonne et due forme ont pour but de lutter contre l’impact
néfaste potentiel de ce type de produits sur l’environnement et la santé
