1. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the Marmitek Split 418 UHD™!
This active HDMI splitter connects 8 screens (TV or projector) with a single
HDMI source. Unlike passive HDMI splitters, it can do this without any loss
of signal or encryption, while maintaining optimal image quality. It's also
ideal for use with HDMI Extenders, for example, to another room. The Split
418 UHD™ supports Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) and all 3D formats,
making it suitable for all your existing and future equipment.
Marmitek products are manufactured with the utmost precision and are of
high quality. Please read this user manual first and follow the instructions so
you can make the most of this product's capabilities.

3. BENEFITS
Allows video and audio from your digital TV decoder, satellite receiver,
game console or Blu-ray player to be simultaneously displayed on 8
screens (TV or projector).
Eliminates the need to change HDMI cables if you want to watch films
or play games on another screen.
If required, select your video resolution (4k2k, 1080p, 1080i) and audio
format (HD Audio, DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital, PCM 2.0) on the HDMI
output, using the unique EDID switch.

4. INSTALLATION
Before installation:
Turn off all devices (TV and HDMI sources) before connecting them to
the Split 418 UHD™. If a device cannot be turned off, please remove
the plug from the socket.
Only use High Speed HDMI® certified cables for the best picture and
sound quality. Using too much force to connect or disconnect the HDMI
cables may damage them.
1. Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI source (such as a game
console, Blu-ray player and Digital TV Decoder) to the HDMI port
marked "HDMI Input".

2. Use an HDMI cable to connect the screens (TVs or projectors) to HDMI
ports marked "HDMI output".
3. Connect the power adapter to the "DC 5V" and insert the plug into the
socket.
5. EDID SETTINGS
EDID stands for Extended Display Identification Data and is used for
communication between HDMI sources and screens, enabling you to
determine the supported display resolutions and audio formats. The HDMI
source requests this information from the screen and determines the best
resolution or audio format. When using multiple screens (TVs or projectors),
the best resolution and audio format that is supported by all connected
screens is determined.
This may cause problems in some situations, for example, when one of the
connected sources or screens does not fully support EDID. Using switches
at the front, you can manually enter the required video resolution and audio
format. See Appendix 1 on page 39 for an overview of the associated
settings.
Tip: In standard situations, always use the automatic setting, which will
result in sound and image on all connected screens. With manual settings,
no image or sound may be displayed on one or more screens if the
appropriate setting is not supported

6. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No (or poor) image and sound
If you experience poor or no picture after connecting the HDMI switcher,
please try to identify the problem by connecting the devices to your screen
(TV, monitor or projector) one by one. This allows you to determine whether
the problem is with the HDMI sources, the HDMI cables, the HDMI switcher
or the screen.
Make sure the power adapter is connected and plugged in.
For the best picture and sound quality, only use High Speed HDMI®
certified cables.
Do not use HDMI cables longer than those specified in the technical
data.
Check the HDMI cables and/or connectors for damage.
Both the HDMI source and your screen should fully support HDMI.
Check that your HDMI sources and screen support HDCP (High
Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) copy protection.
Incorrect 3D display
Please check whether the HDMI source is set to display 3D and/or it is
set to automatic.
Both the HDMI source and your HD screen should support the same
3D formats.
Please check that 3D is displayed correctly by connecting the HDMI
source directly to the HD display with an HDMI cable.

1. EINFÜHRUNG
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Erwerb Ihres Marmitek Split 418 UHD™!.
Dieser aktive HDMI Splitter verbindet 8 Bildschirme (TV oder Projektor) mit
einer HDMI Quelle. Im Gegensatz zu passiven HDMI Splittern geschieht
dies ohne jeglichen Signal- oder Verschlüsselungsverlust und unter
Beibehaltung optimaler Bildqualität. Auch ideal für die Verwendung
kombiniert mit HDMI Verlängerungen (z.B. in einen anderen Raum). Der
Split 418 UHD™ unterstützt Ultra HD (4k), Full HD (1080p) und alle 3D
Formate und eignet sich somit für alle heutigen und zukünftigen Geräte.
Marmitek Produkte werden mit großer Sorgfalt hergestellt und sind von

3. VORZÜGE
Ermöglicht es, Bild und Ton Ihres digitalen TV Decoders,
Satellitenempfängers, Spielcomputers oder Blu-Ray Players auf 8
Bildschirmen (HDTV oder HD Projektor) gleichzeitig wiederzugeben.
Das HDMI Kabel muss nicht mehr ausgetauscht werden, wenn Sie
Filme sehen oder Spiele auf einem anderen Bildschirm spielen
möchten.
Bestimmen Sie mit diesem einmaligen EDID Schalter wenn gewünscht,
selber die Videoauflösung (4k2k, 1080p, 1080i) und das Audioformat
(HD Audio, DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital, PCM 2.0) am HDMI Ausgang .

4. INSTALLATION
Bevor Sie beginnen:
Schalten Sie alle Geräte (Fernseher und HDMI Quellen) bevor Sie
diese an den Connect 418 UHD™ anschließen zunächst aus.
Entfernen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, falls diese nicht
ausgeschaltet werden können.
Verwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität
ausschließlich High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte Kabel. Verwenden Sie
wenig Kraft, um die HDMI Kabel anzuschließen oder loszukoppeln;
diese könnten sonst beschädigen.

1. Schließen Sie die HDMI Quelle (wie Spielcomputer, Blu-Ray Player
und digitaler TV Decoder) mit einem HDMI Kabel an den "HDMI Input“
Anschluss an.
2. Verbinden Sie die Bildschirme (Fernseher oder Projektoren) mit einem
HDMI Kabel an einen HDMI Output Anschluss an.
3. Schließen Sie den Speisungsadapter an den “DC 5V“ an und verbinden
Sie diesen mit der Steckdose.
5. EDID-EINSTELLUNGEN
EDID bedeutet Extended Display Identification Data und wird für die
Kommunikation zwischen HDMI Quellen und Bildschirmen verwendet, um
die unterstützten Bildauflösungen und Audioformate zu bestimmen. Die
HDMI Quelle ruft diese Informationen vom Bildschirm ab und bestimmt die
beste Auflösung oder das beste Audioformat. Bei Verwendung mehrerer
Bildschirme (Fernseher oder Projektoren) wird bestimmt, welche die beste
Auflösung oder das beste Audioformat ist, .die von allen angeschlossenen
Bildschirmen unterstützt wird.
Das kann bisweilen zu Problemen führen, beispielsweise wenn eine der
angeschlossenen Quellen oder Bildschirme EDID nicht korrekt unterstützt.
Sie können mithilfe der Schalter an der Vorderseite manuell angeben, was
die gewünschte Videoauflösung oder das gewünschte Audioformat ist. In
Anlage 1 auf Seite 39 finden Sie eine Übersicht der dazugehörigen
Einstellungen.
Tipp: Verwenden Sie in Standardsituationen immer die Einstellung
Automatisch. Auf allen angeschlossenen Bildschirmen wird Bild und Ton
wiedergegeben werden. Bei manueller Einstellung kann es passieren, dass
Sie auf 1. oder mehreren Bildschirmen kein Bild oder keinen Ton
empfangen, wenn die Einstellung nicht unterstützt wird.

6. HÄUFIG GESTELLTE FRAGEN
Kein (oder schlechtes) Bild und Ton
Wenn Sie nach dem Anschließen des HDMI Switch kein, oder ein
schlechtes Bild empfangen, versuchen Sie dann die Geräte Stück für Stück
an Ihren Schirm anzuschließen (TV, Monitor oder Projektor), um zu sehen,
wo das Problem liegt. Auf diese Art können Sie ermitteln ob es an den
HDMI Quellen, den HDMI Kabeln, dem HDMI Switch oder dem Schirm liegt.
Überprüfen Sie, ob der Speisungsadaptor angeschlossen ist und sich
in der Steckdose befindet.
Verwenden Sie zum Erhalt einer optimalen Bild- und Tonqualität
ausschließlich High Speed HDMI® zertifizierte Kabel.
Verwenden Sie keine HDMI Kabel, die länger sind als in den
technischen Daten aufgeführt.
Überprüfen Sie die HDMI Kabel und/oder Anschlüsse auf
Beschädigungen.
Sowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr Bildschirm muss HDMI vollständig
unterstützen.
Prüfen Sie, ob Ihre HDMI Quellen und Bildschirm das
Verschlüsselungssystem HDCP (Highbandwidth Digital Content
Protection) unterstützen.
Keine korrekte 3D Wiedergabe
Überprüfen Sie, ob die HDMI Quelle auf 3D Wiedergabe eingestellt
und/oder ob diese auf automatisch eingestellt ist.
Sowohl die HDMI Quelle wie Ihr HD Bildschirm müssen dieselben 3D
Daten unterstützen.
Überprüfen Sie, ob 3D korrekt wiedergegeben wird, indem Sie die
HDMI Quelle mit einem HDMI Kabel direkt an den HD Bildschirm
anschließen.

Ce répartiteur HDMI actif relie 8 écrans (téléviseur ou projecteur) avec une
seule source HDMI. Contrairement aux répartiteurs HDMI passifs cela peut
être réalisé sans aucune perte de signal ou de cryptage tout en conservant
une qualité d'image optimale. Le répartiteur est également idéal pour une
utilisation en combinaison avec une rallonge HDMI vers, par exemple, une
autre pièce. Le Split 418 UHD™ est compatible avec Ultra HD (4k), Full HD
(1080p) et tous les formats 3D et convient de ce fait pour tous vos appareils
existants et futurs.

4. INSTALLATION
Conseils d'installation
Eteignez tous les appareils (téléviseur et sources HDMI) avant de les
connecter au Split 418 UHD™. S'il n'est pas possible de les éteindre,
débranchez la prise de courant.
Utilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés HDMI® High Speed pour
obtenir la meilleure qualité d'image et de son. Ne forcez pas pour
connecter ou déconnecter les câbles HDMI, autrement cela pourrait les
endommager.

1. Connectez la source HDMI (telle que console de jeux, lecteur Blu-ray
et Décodeurs TV Numériques) sur le port HDMI avec l'inscription
“HDMI input” (“entrée HDMI”) avec un câble HDMI.
2. Connectez les écrans (téléviseurs ou projecteur) sur les ports HDMI
avec l'inscription “HDMI output” (“sortie HDMI”) avec un câble HDMI.
3. Connectez l'adaptateur secteur sur “DC 5V” et branchez la fiche dans
la prise de courant.
5. PARAMETRAGES EDID
EDID signifie Extended Display Identification Data (Données Étendues
d'Identification d'Affichage) et il est utilisé pour la communication entre les
sources HDMI et les écrans afin de déterminer les résolutions d'images et
les formats audio pris en charge. La source HDMI demande ces
informations à l'écran et détermine la meilleure résolution ou le meilleur
format audio. Lorsqu'on utilise plusieurs écrans (téléviseurs ou projecteurs)
la meilleure résolution et le meilleur format audio, pris en charge par tous
les écrans connectés, sont déterminés.
Dans certains cas cela peut causer des problèmes, par exemple lorsque
l'une des sources ou l'un des écrans connectés ne supporte pas bien
l'EDID. En utilisant les commutateurs situés sur le front de l'appareil vous
pouvez saisir manuellement la résolution vidéo et le format audio souhaités.
Veuillez consulter l'annexe 1 à la page 39 pour une liste des paramètres
correspondants.
Conseil : Dans des conditions normales utilisez toujours le mode
automatique ; l'image et le son seront restitués sur tous les écrans
connectés. Dans le cas de réglages manuels il se peut que l'image et le son
ne soient pas restitués sur 1 ou plusieurs écrans si le réglage concerné
n'est pas pris en charge.

6. FOIRE AUX QUESTIONS
Pas d'image (ou image de mauvaise qualité) ni de son
Si après avoir connecté le commutateur HDMI vous n'avez pas d'image ou
l'image est de mauvaise qualité, essayez de trouver la cause du problème
en connectant les appareils l'un après l'autre à votre écran (téléviseur,
moniteur ou projecteur). Vous pourrez ainsi déterminer si le problème
provient des sources HDMI, des câbles HDMI, du commutateur HDMI ou de
l'écran.
Assurez-vous que l'adaptateur secteur soit connecté et branché dans
la prise de courant.
Utilisez uniquement des câbles certifiés HDMI® High Speed pour
obtenir la meilleure qualité d'image et de son.
N'utilisez pas de câbles HDMI qui soient plus longs que ce qui est
spécifié dans les caractéristiques techniques.
Assurez-vous que les câbles HDMI et/ou connecteurs ne soient pas
endommagés.
La source HDMI ainsi que l'écran doivent supporter pleinement le
HDMI.
Assurez-vous que vos sources HDMI et votre écran supportent la
protection contre la copie HDCP (Highbandwidth Digital Content
Protection).
Pas d'affichage 3D correct
Assurez-vous que la source HDMI soit paramétrée pour restituer les
images 3D et/ou qu'elle soit en mode automatique.
Votre source HDMI ainsi que votre écran HD doivent supporter les
mêmes formats 3D.
Assurez-vous que l'image 3D soit restituée correctement en connectant
la source HDMI directement à l'écran HD avec un câble HDMI.
