Getting Started
Push the SELECT button once to power the unit on. The display will
show a 4 digit elevation. The SELECT button is also used to cycle
through the 4 operating modes and turn the unit off. You will see a light
next to the operating mode that is currently selected.
Operating Modes
1. PRESET MODE
Push the SELECT button until the light is next to “PRESET”.
Use the (+) and (-) button to enter the known elevation or use
your own elevation. The elevation changes when the mast is
raised or lowered.
To reset the elevation to “0” push the (+) and (-) buttons at the
same time.
2. SURVEY MODE
Push the SELECT button until the light is next to “SURVEY”.
When the unit is in survey mode the sensor tracks the laser
beam and the mast moves accordingly. The panel will display
the changing elevation.
3. SET AUTOMAST MODE
Push the SELECT button until the light is next to “SET
AUTOMAST”. Press the (+) or (-) to set the elevation change.
For example, if you set it at “00.10”it will then adjust one tenth
(+) or (-) per foot. You are now ready to Activate AutoMast.
4. ACTIVATE AUTOMAST MODE
Push the SELECT button until the light is next to “ACTIVATE
AUTOMAST”. Each time the (+) or (-) is pushed the mast it will
move the distance you selected in the “SET AUTOMAST”mode
above.
This mode is valuable when building a ditch bank, house pad or
leveling large acreage using 2 transmitters set at different
elevations.

Menu Items
It is important to check all your menu item settings before you use
your system to ensure it will work properly. It is recommended to
write down your individual settings for future reference.
To enter the MENU ITEMS push and hold the SELECT button and then
push the AUTOBLADE button. The number on the left will flash and the
number on the right will remain solid. The number on the left is the menu
item and the number on the right is the value that menu item is currently
set at.
To change a menu item press the (+) or (-) to the menu you want to set
per the list below and press SELECT. The number on the left will now
be solid and the number on the right will be flashing. Press the (+) or (-)
to change the value and then press SELECT.
To exit the menu items, push the AUTOBLADE button.
To reset all settings back to factory settings unplug the power cord, press
and hold the (-) button and plug the power back in.

Grading
Set your blade on a grade hub and move the sensor to center. The
green light on your panel will light up indicating you are now on grade.
Press the AUTOBLADE button and the light above Auto Blade will
illuminate. The hydraulics will now take over blade control. Press the
AUTOBLADE button or Blade toggle when you are ready to exit Auto
Blade Control.

Troubleshooting
Problem: Blade speed slow or erratic
Cause: Menu Items 1 or 2 are set too low
Solution: Refer to the Menu Items 1 and 2 in this manual to check
and change the speed settings
Cause: Laser Transmitter is not set on minimum required RPM
Solution: Make sure the Laser is set to at least 600 RPM
Problem: System not responding fast enough
Cause: Laser Transmitter is not set on minimum required RPM
Solution: Make sure the Laser is set to at least 600 RPM
Problem: Mast Speed slow or non-responsive
Cause: Menu Item 3 is set too low
Solution: Refer to the Menu Item 3 in this manual to check and
change the speed setting
Problem: No Lights on Control Panel
Cause: Loose, dirty or damaged cable
Solution: Inspect power cable and connectors for damage or dirt
and make sure it is connected properly. If damaged, call
to order a replacement.
Problem: No signal to Receiver
Cause: Loose, dirty or damaged cable
Solution: Inspect Mast/Receiver cable and connectors for damage
or dirt and make sure it is connected properly. If
damaged, call to order a replacement.
Cause: Laser Transmitter not working properly
Solution: Check to make sure Laser Transmitter is working
properly
Cause: Laser Beam Obstruction
Solution: Make sure nothing is obstructing the laser beam

Problem: Erratic vertical movement
Cause: Another Laser Transmitter providing additional signal
Solution: Check for another Laser Transmitter on the job site
Cause: Radical Elevation changes
Solution: Slowdown in rough terrain
Cause: Laser beam reflection
Solution: Check for mirrored surfaces
Problem: Hydraulics do not respond when AUTOBLADE
button is pushed
Cause: JD Tractors Only
Solution: Tractor must be moving at least 1 MPH
