2.2Operating Principle
The followinginstructionswerecompiled toprovide youinformation on howtoobtainlong
and troublefree useofthemachine.Periodicmaintenanceofthe machine isessential.
Read the manualcarefullyand thoroughlyfamiliarizeyourself withthe machine and all it’s
functions. Failuretodosomayinjureyourselforabystander.
2.3DeliveryChecks
Immediatelyontakingdeliveryofyournewmachine and beforeputtingit intoservice.
lRead theoperation manualcompletely—itcouldsaveagreatdealofunnecessary
expense.
lRead theengine manualsupplied.
lCheck the generalcondition ofthe machine –hasitbeen damaged duringdelivery?
lCheck engine oil level.
lCheck fuellevel.
lHydraulicfluidlevel
Recommended lubricantsaredetailedintheCareandMaintenancesection.
2.4BeforeStarting
Beforestartingthe machine, check the followingitems:
lAll handlesarefree fromgrease, oil and dirt.
lAll controlleversareinthe neutralposition.
lAll bolted jointsaretightened.
lFuellevel
lWatertanklevel
lOil levelinthe engine
lAircleanermaintenanceindicator
lHydraulicfluidlevel
NOTICE: Check the hydraulicfluidleveland the oil levelinthe engine and eccentricelement.
The warrantiesareVOIDifthe machine isrun without oil andhydraulicfluid.
2.5ToStart
Beforestartingthe machine must knowthe location and function ofall controls.
1.Donot actuatestarterformorethan 20secondsatatime. Ifengine doesnot start,
wait 1minutebeforerepeatingattempt. Ifengine doesnot start aftertwoattempts,
tracethe causeaccordingtoDiagnosisChart.

2.Keyalwaysinon(1st)position when engine isrunning. Makesurethat all the warning
lightsareoff when theengine isrunning.Forengineswithstartingpanelequipped with
engine protection, makesurethe OKlight onlykeepsON.
1st position -Warninglight on.2nd Position -Starting.
3.Afterstarting, at idlespeed forafewminutesaccordingtotable:

2.7Operation Driving
Beforedriving, check theoperationofpush-stop,parking brakeandcontrols. Check
that the machine stopswhenthepush-stopispushed.
1.Forwardoperation:
Movetheforward/reversering(1)forwards.
2.Reverseoperation:
Movetheforward/reversering(1)backwards.
3.Vibration on:
Movethevibrationlever(2)forward.
4.Vibration off:
Movethevibrationlevertoposition0.
5.Self-drivenforward
The reversingmachinewill moveforwardautomaticallywhentheoperatortouch
theself-driven forwardlever(3). Inordertoensuretheoperator’ssecurity.
2.8Warning lamps
Therearetwolamps:one forchargingand oneforoil pressure.Thetwolampsmust
turnoffduring operation. If thedon’t turnoff,stop the engineandcheck thefault.
2.9Operating nearedger
At least2/3of theplateshouldbeonasurfacewithfull bearingstrengthwhenoperating
alongedger.

2.10Operating on slope
Alwaystakespecialcaretoavoidthe risk ofpersonalinjuryordamagetothe machine
when operatingon slopesorhills.
Alwaysdrivethe machine straight upand down. Neverdrivethe machine sideways.
Neverleavethe machine when the engine isrunning.
The maximumslopeofthe machine inoperation is19°.
2.11Parking brake
The parkingbrakeisusedtoensurethatthemachine will not roll whennotinuse.
ALWAYSparkthemachineon themost levelground.
1.Usethe parkingbrake.
2.Turnoff the engineandpull outtheignitionkey.
2.12Lifting
Beforelift themachine,ALWAYS check that theshock absorbers, safetystrapsand
protectiveframearecorrectlyattachedandnotdamaged. Lock thehandleinthe
transportposition.
1.NEVERtowthemachine.
2.ONLYusesteelropesorchainsforlifting.
3. Makesurethatthe ropesorchainsmusthaveenoughliftingcapacitytoholdthe
machine (see the information on the machine plateforweight).
4.ONLYlift the machine bythehookontheframe.
5.DO NOTstandorwalkunderaliftedmachine.

1.Check thescraperandreplacethemasneeded.
2.Cleanthescraperdailyafteruseandremovethedirt, nutfromit.
3.3Lubrication
The longlifeand successfuloperationof anypartsofmachineryisdependenton
frequentandthoroughlubrication. Beforeusingthemachine,always checkthe oil and
useproperoil withthecorrect typeandgradeasrecommended.
NOTICE: DO NOTmixtypesofoil ineccentricelementandDONOToverfill theoil.
Damagetothemachine mayoccurifoilsaremixedoroverfilled.SeeTechnicalDatafor
oil quantityandtype.
3.4SparkPlug
Check andcleansparkplugsregularly.Afouled,dirtysparkplugmaycausehard
startingand poorengineperformance. Setsparkplug gaptorecommended clearance.
Refertoenginemanual.
The mufflerandenginecylinderbecomeveryhot duringoperationand
remainhot forawhileafterstopping theengine.Allowenginetocool
beforeremovingsparkplug.
NOTICE:Aloosesparkplug canbecomeveryhotandmaycauseenginedamage.
3.5AirCleaner
Maintainingacleanenginewill extendenginelife. Keepairfiltercleanatall times.
Cleanairfilterusing therecommendedsolventdaily. Seeenginemanualforproper
cleaningprocedure.Letthefilterdrybeforereinstalling.
NEVERusegasoline orothertypesoflowflashpoint solventsfor
cleaningtheaircleaner.Afireorexplosioncouldresult.

1.Particlesfoundinthehydraulicfilterelement, Changethe hydraulicoil and cleanall
thecomponentsof the hydraulicoil system.
2.NEVERuseanydamaged components.
3.NEVERreusetheused hydraulicoil.
4.Relievethehydraulicpressurebeforeoperatethemachine.
3.7Transporting
Beforetransportingthemachine:
1.ALWAYSturnofftheengine andpull outthe keyfromthemachine.
2.Onlyusethefrontand reartiedownstosecurethemachine,decalsindicateinthe
machine.
3.8Storing
Ifthe machine istobestoredformorethan30days:
1.Drainthe fueltankandwatertank.
2.Openthewatervalveanddrainwaterfromthesprinkling system.
3.Coverthemachine.
4.Placethemachineinadryandprotectedarea.
5.Changethe oil.
6.Putalittleoil intothe enginecylinder.
7.Removethebatteryfromthemachine.
