1. Lifting Bar—for machine transportation.

Safety Alert
For the safety for you and other people, please learn and understand the safety
information completely.If you are not sure how to operate machine properly or have any
questions, please consult with your supervisor or contact with dealer nearby or Masalta.
● Machine should be operated within limited area.
●Machine must be operated by trained person.
● The owner & operator must comply with local labor protection regulations
●Lift machine with appropriate lifting device.
● Operate machine on balanced ground,and be careful to avoid overturned when
worked in the edge of Ditch.
● When worked on slope, operator should pay attention to control the moving
direction, keep up and down, and never do side-to-side movement.
● To keep safe distance for normal person and Unauthorized person (Animal
included), draw a warning line around working area.
● Operator should wear protection device when operate machine.
●Operator should know how to stop machine safely when meet trouble before start
machine.
●Stop engine before maintenance
Engine will become heater during working, Don’t touch engine until cool down.
● Don’t leave engine when it’s working.
● Don’t remove or break our protective device which protect your safety. Checking
safety device often, don’t operate machine before damaged safety device
replaced or maintenance.
● Don’t operate machine when you are sick or tired, or functioned by alcohol or
drug.
Danger should be occurred with un-proper maintenance and operation. Read and
understand this section enough before any maintenance.

We try our best to avoid operation safety risk when design machine ,but unpredictable
risk will exist always, they will cause treasure loss, person injury even death. If
unpredictable risk happen, operator must stop the machine. Appropriate measures should
be taken by operator and supervisor to eliminate danger. The risk should be noticed to
The manufacturer to improve the design in future.
● Stop engine and cool engine before filling the fuel.
● Extinguish open fire and Don’t smoke when fill the fuel.
●The fuel should be filled by proper funnel to avoid fuel overflowing from engine.
●Remove overflowed fuel by yellow sand,Change clothes if it stained by fuel.
● The fuel should be stored in the Special build can which is approved,and far away
from heat and fire.
Personal protection device
The operator must wear proper personal protection device, include protective glass、
gloves、hearing protectors、anti-dust respirator and Shoes with steel toe protection(with
Non-slip soles).wear proper clothes according with work. Always protect skin away from
concrete.
Dust
Compaction process may produce dust which will endanger your health. Always wear
anti-dust respirator
Fuel
Do not intake fuel or Inhale oil vapors and avoid the contact with skin. If splashed by
fuel clean splashed place immediately. If fuel splash to eye, Rinse immediately with plenty
of water and seek medical help as soon as possible.
Exhaust gas
Do not use the roller indoors or in confined spaces. To ensure the work area is well
ventilated
The fuel is inflammable material which can lead person injury and treasure loss.
Stop engine and extinguish open fire when fill the fuel. No smoking and wipe up spilled
Caution
The exhaust gas generated by the equipment are highly toxic, could lead to seath.

Application
The machines are used in basic preparations, Driveway, foundation, curbs and also
could be suitable to repair and maintenance jobs such as Streets, highways and sidewalks
Preparation work before starting
Checking before starting
Checking must be executed before working time or after 4 hours from working start. If
you need more detailed guidance, please read section”Maintenance”.Don’t operate
machine before troubleshooting if there is any malfunction.
1. Check the machine thoroughly for signs of damage. Make sure that all guards are in
place and are reliable.
2. Check hoses, filling mouth, if there is leak of the drain plug and elsewhere. Operate
After repairing the leak.
3. Check the engine oil level, and add enough engine oil.
3.1 Put the machine on a level surface and check the engine oil level.
3.2 Remove oil-measuring tools, and observe the oil plane reaches rim. Use correct
appropriate viscosity of engine oil.(SAE 10W-30 suggested)
4. Check engine fuel plane and add enough fuel. Ensure use clean fuel. contaminated fuel
can damage the fuel system.
5. Check the air filter if it is clean, the accumulation of excessive dust and impurities within
the filter will affect engine operation. If the filter element is contaminated, please clean
it.(Refer to Section ”Maintenance”)
6. Check the operation of control functions. Make sure the drive rod, the vibration control
lever, throttle lever, parking brake lever and back safety device move smoothly.

Steps of start and stop
Before starting the engine, make sure the drive lever at the neutral position, the
vibrating rod is in the OFF position, the parking brake is in the ON position.
1. Open the fuel switch on the engine。
2. Move throttle handle of operating lever to the start position
3. Start engine- See the engine user's manual on how to start
4. Move the throttle lever to lower and let the engine idle a few minutes, warm up the
engine.
5. After the engine warm-up, the machine can begin the operation.
6. Push the throttle lever to the high-speed "H" position fastly to prevent damage to the
clutch. "Full throttle" position the machine is pre-set by the manufacturer, which make the
machine to achieve the best performance. Do not change this setting, because this will
lead to early wear and tear, and the warranty on the engine and the machine will
automatically lapse.
7. Push the parking brake lever to the right, making the separation(graph 1)。

Remark:
Due to neglect the parking brake separation, and then attempt to drive the machine
forward or backward would seriously damage the parking brake mechanism and drive
mechanism.
Improper operation can lead to hazards. Before any repair and maintenance, first
read and understand this chapter.

8. The operator's control(graph 2)

A. Throttle lever
Always keep the throttle lever operation at a high level.
Note: Do not attempt to change the engine speed to change the speed of travel.
B. Drive lever
Push the lever forward to drive machine forward. Push lever back to drive the
machine back. Push lever to the middle position to conduct neutral driving
C. Vibration control lever
Put the vibration control lever to the open position, the vibration mechanism will bind
and generate vibrations.
D. Security bars
when Uncontrolled machine moving backward, press safety bar down.
Stop
9. When ready to stop the engine, push the throttle lever to lower.
10. Let the engine idle 1 to 3 minutes.
11. Push the throttle lever to stop position to stop the engine.
12. Turn off the ignition switch.
13. Turn the parking brake lever to the left to achieve parking (Graph 3)

Operation information
After complete "before starting" check items listed in the chapter, you can start
the engine.
Rollers mounted centrifugal clutch, which drives the hydraulic pump so that no need idling
of the engine
With the increase in the engine speed, the clutch will be combined, and the engine drives
the hydraulic pump, and output hydraulic pressure driving the drum and vibrating
mechanism. Slowly push the throttle stick from minimum to maximum position, the engine
speed is maximum speed at this moment, it’s work speed.
Avoid to operate the machine on a fully dense, hard, not bound surface. Otherwise, the
bearings and other components will be damaged, and this will greatly shorten the life of
the machine.
When working on slopes, be extra careful to operate the machine in order to avoid
dumping of the machine. Always moving up and down slopes, not to move around.
When the machine back, making sure not to stand after the operating handle. Always
stand beside the operating handle, facing the direction of movement of the machine。
*Lift
Be sure to stop the engine, and then lift. With sufficient lifting force of the rope. Use a little
lift hook, vertical lift without vibration. Do not allow any person or animal to stand under
lifted the machine. For security, do the necessary lifting height only.
*Transportation
Motor Transport
Confirm lock handle, and will use enough width, length and intensity of the ramp under the
car when run the machine into operation or unloading the machine from motor.
Use the parking brake in transit to fasten the machine securely in the car.
In the course of loading and unloading the machine, the operating handle may
suddenly move. Do not go near the operating handle to avoid injury.

Maintenance
Maintenance
Masalta vibratory rollers are designed to work trouble-free for many years. But the
other important thing is to have regular maintenance listed in this chapter. We recommend
Masalta authorized dealers to complete all the maintenance and repair. Using authentic
replacement parts from Masalta, the use of counterfeit products can cause voiding of your
warranty. Before any maintenance on the machine, turn off the engine. Place the machine
on level ground, to ensure that the liquid level can be read correctly. Only use
recommended lubricants. In maintenance, ensure that the hand lever is securely locked
up.
Engine Maintenance
Maintenance engine according to the manual of engine manufacturer. Refer to the engine
operation and maintenance manual.
Maintenance: Every 8 hours or daily
1. Check for loose screws and nuts, if necessary, retighten.
2. According to the engine manufacturer's recommendations, inspect, clean and lubricate
the air filter element. If operating in worse dusty conditions, the filter elements should be
cleaned more frequently
Maintenance: Every 50 hours or a week.
1. The hydraulic oil and filters should be replace for the first time after 50 hours work
for the new machine, later replaced every 500 hours. Please refer to "Maintenance: The
first 500 hours", There are specific oil change methods.
2. Check the drive belt tension
2.1 Loosen the four screws of fixed pump bracket, and adjust screws until the proper
tension. Drive belt should be 5mm in the middle deflection between centrifugal clutch and
pump pulley. (Graph 4)

2.2 Tighten the four screws on the pump bracket. When the belt is worn or broken, replace
the belt.
3. Adjust distance of scraper
3.1Remove the scraper, erasing all dust, mud and asphalt.(Graph 5)

4. Water tank
4.1 Drain all the water and clean the inside of the tank.(Graph 6)

5. Moving parts
Lubricate drive / vibration wire rod end.

Maintenance: Every 100 hours

1.1 Check that the vibration of the clutch mechanism to work properly。
1.2 Lubricate moving parts.
1.3 Check the V-belt case. When it is worn or broken, replace V-belts.

2. Drive lever
2.1 2-3kgf。Use the adjustment nut, the operating force of the drive lever will be
transferred to 2-3kgf .(Graph 8&9)
2.2 Lubricate moving parts.

Maintenance: Every 500 hours
The hydraulic oil and filters should be replace for the first time after 50 hours work
for the new machine, later replaced every 500 hours. The user can be shortened or
extended replacement time based on the quality of the environment and hydraulic oil.(No
longer than 800hours)
1. Use authentic filter element(Graph 10)。

2. Replace the fuel tank of hydraulic oil, then add new hydraulic oil. Exhaust the air in the
hydraulic oil system, open the fuel tank cap, and run the engine at maximum speed 10
minutes, Do not operate the drive lever and the vibration lever. Then, cover the fuel tank
cap.
Adjust neutral setting of drive lever
As the drive shaft vibration and wear, the neutral position of the drive shaft may shift.
Adjust neutral setting according with below instructions :
1. Place the machine on a level surface。
2. Confirm that the engine has been turned off.
3. Remove nut.which is fixed to the drive lever the drive shaft connecting rod end is fixed
to the drive rod at the end of drive shaft connecting lever
Caution:
Don’t try to start engine when remove the nut . The machine may suddenly move,and the
drive lever lose control of the machine, which may result in serious personal injury and
property damage
4.Loosen double-nut of the connecting lever end (Graph 11)

5. According to the adjusted neutral position direction, clockwise or counterclockwise
rotate connecting lever end
6. Reconnect the lever end to on the drive shaft with a nut for security protection
7. Start the engine, increase the engine speed to the maximum. Observe whether the
neutral position has been adjusted。
8. If you do not adjust well, stop the engine, remove the nuts and repeat steps 5-7 until
you adjust the neutral position.
9. After adjusting the correct neutral position, fit and tighten the nut of fixed connecting
lever, Then tighten double nut of connecting lever end,.

Storage
For long-time storage, turn off fuel switch and operate engine, so that the fuel in the
carburetor will be empty.
After prolonged storage, the chemical composition of the fuel will deteriorate. When
the machine needs to be stored for a long time, remove all the fuel from fuel tank. drain
the fuel in the carburetor float chamber through drain plug.
Eliminate accumulated oil and dust in the rubber portion. Clean the chassis and
apply a thin layer of oil in the machine surface to prevent rusting. Cover the machine and
store in a dry place.
The operating lever can be erected to facilitate storage. Pick up the bolt locator, raise
handle. Confirm the bolt locator has been safely control the operating handle(Graph12)

The warranty period of new roller is one year (12 months) for initial purchaser from the
date of purchase.
The warranty is for negligence of the design, materials and workmanship

1.In the absence of compliance with operating and maintenance instructions, or errors
resulted from abuse, misuse, damage and other similar mistake.
2. Has not been tampered with or repaired by any unauthorized person.
3. The freight or fare from Masalta or authorized dealer caused by machine which is not
covered by warranty.
4. Parts update、repairs and replacement. Caused by normal wear and tear.
5. Engine
MASALTA and/or their recognized agents,directors,employees or isurers will not be held
liable for consequential or other damages,losses or expenses in connection with or by reason
