lNEVERoperatethisunitwithout all guardsinplace.Keephands, feet, clothingandjewelry
awayfromthe unitbladesand all movingparts.Rotatingand movingpartswill cause
seriousinjuryifcontacted duringoperation.
lDO NOTallowanyonetostankorleanon the unit duringoperation.
lALWAYSKeepthesafetystopswitchsysteminadjustmentandgoodoperatingcondition at
all times.Donotoperatethe trowelifitdoesnotworkproperly.OutofcontrolTrowelscan
causeseriouspersonalinjuryand damagetofreshconcretesurfaces.Thissystemwill
automaticallystopthe unit ifthe operatorlosescontrolofit duringoperation.
lALWAYSmakesurethe safetystopswitchisdisengaged (leverinthe downposition)before
startingthe unit. Keepone handfirmlyon the handlewhilestartingand do notletgoof the
handleduringoperation.

The followinginstructionswerecompiled toprovideyouinformation on howtoobtainlongand
troublefree useoftheunit.Periodicmaintenanceofthisunitisessential.Readthemanualinits
entiretyandfollowthe instructionscarefully. Failuretodo somayinjureyourselforabystander.

2.3DeliveryChecks
Immediatelyontakingdeliveryofyournewequipment andbeforeputtingit intoservice.
lRead theoperation manualcompletely—it couldsaveagreat dealofunnecessaryexpense.
lRead theengine manualsupplied.
lCheck the generalcondition ofthe equipment –hasit been damaged duringdelivery?
lCheck engine oil level.
lCheck fuellevels.
Recommended lubricantsaredetailedintheCareandMaintenancesection.
2.4BeforeStarting
NewRide-on PowerTrowelhasbeen assembledand tested atthe factory.However,before
startingthe trowel, the followingitemsshouldbechecked:
●Fuellevel
●Waterlevel
●Waterleve
●Oil levelinthe engine
●Condition ofthe airfilter
●Condition oftrowelarmsand blades
●Greasethe trowelarmsdaily.
NOTICE: Check theoil levelintheengine andgearbox.Engine andtrowelwarrantiesareVOIDif
thisunit isrun without oil.
2.5ToStart
Beforestartingthe operatormust knowthe location and function ofall controls.
1.Adjust thechairtothe comfortableposition forthe operator.
2.Pushdownon the left safetystoppedal,turnthe engine keyswitch,and holdituntil the engine
starts.
NOTICE:Ifthe engine iscold,pull outthe chokecontrolknobfully.The chokemayneedtobe
opened even when startingawarmengine.
NOTICE:Crankingthe engine formorethan 5secondscan causestarterdamager.Ifthe engine
failstostart, releasethekeyswitchand wait 10 secondsbeforeoperatingthe starteragain.
3.Allowthe engine towarmupbeforeoperatingthe trowel.
4.Pushdownon the throttlefoot pedaltostart thetrowel
2.6ToStop
1.Returnthe controlleverstotheirneutralposition andreleasepressureon the throttlefoot pedal.
2.Releasepressureon thesafetystopswitch.
3.Tostopthe engine, turnthe keyswitchto “O”(off).
NOTICE: Releasethe safetystopswitchforemergencystop.

2.7Operation
ToutilizeyourRide-OnTroweltoitsfullestcapacity,the machine shouldbedriven inthe direction
thattheoperatorisfacing.Thiswill finishthe widestpossiblearea,whilegivingthe operatorand
excellentviewofthe slabsurfaceabouttobetroweled.When the machine reachesthe endofthe
slab,makea180°U-turn, andrepeat the straight line ofdirection tothe otherend ofthe slab.
NOTICE:DONOTuseexcessivepressureon thecontrollevers.Excessivepressuredoesnot
increasethe reaction timeofthe machine and candamagethe steeringcontrols.
NOTICE:Attemptingtousethe troweltoo earlyinthecuringstageof the concretemayresultinan
undesirablefinish. Onlyexperienced concretefinishersshouldoperatethe trowel.
2.8Steering
Refertothe illustration forthe necessaryhand motionstomovethe trowelinthe desired direction,
described below:
1.reverse
2.forward
3.rotateclockwise
4.rotatecounter-clockwise
5.left sideways
6.right sideways
2.9PitchAdjustment
When changingorsettingthe pitch(angle)ofthe trowelblades,slowthe machine,setthedesired
pitchon the left sideofthe machine, then adjust the right side tomatch.
Toincreasethepitch, turnthe pitchcontrolinward.

3.2TrowelGearbox
Check thegearboxesforthecorrect oil levelafterevery20hoursofoperation.Change thegearbox
oil every300 hours.
NOTICE: DO NOTmixtypesofgearoil. DO NOToverfill the gearboxwithoil. Damagetothe
gearboxmayoccurifoilsaremixed, orifthe gearboxisoverfilled. See TechnicalDataforoil
quantityand type.

3.3Lubrication
1.Engine oil
Thelonglifeand successfuloperation ofanypieceofmachineryisdependent onfrequent and
thoroughlubrication
Beforeusingthe trowel,alwayscheck yourengine foroil.Useproperengine oil asrecommended in
the engine manufacturer’smanual. Fillcrankcasetolevelsasrecommended.
2.Trowel
Thedrivesystem, gearboxand pitchpostsareequipped withseveralgreasefittings. Greasethese
fittingsonceaweek, orevery20 hours, topreventwear.
Useageneralpurposegreaseand addone totwoshotsofgreaseat eachfitting.
3.4Transporting Trowels
ALWAYSturntheengine offand removethe keyfromthe machine beforemovingortransporting
machine.
Tohoist thetrowel:
1.Attachaslingorchainsthroughthe
tie-downpoint (a)on eachside ofthe
guardring.

NOTICE: Makesureliftingdevicehasenough
capacitytoholdmachine (see identification
plateon machine forweight).
2. Put theliftingtube(b)intothe tubeon
eachside ofthe guardring.
3.5SparkPlug
Check andcleansparkplugsregularly.Afouled,dirtysparkplugmaycausehardstartingand
poorengineperformance.Set sparkplug gaptorecommendedclearance. Refertoengine
manual.
The mufflerandenginecylinderbecomeveryhot duringoperationandremain
hot forawhileafterstoppingtheengine.Allowengine tocoolbeforeremoving
sparkplug.
NOTICE:Aloosesparkplug canbecomeveryhotandmaycauseenginedamage.

3.5AirCleaner
Maintainingaclean engine will extend engine life. Keepairfilterclean at all times. Clean airfilter
usingthe recommended solvent daily. See engine manualforpropercleaningprocedure. Let the
filterdrybeforereinstalling.
NEVERusegasoline orothertypesoflowflashpoint solventsforcleaningthe air
cleaner.Afireorexplosion couldresult.
3.6Troubleshooting

Themovement ofeachgearboxis
controlled by “stops”toprovide the
correct relationshipofthe control
