Cabinet Installation
** Please read all instructions prior to installation **
MASS™ Medical Storage recommends that all cabinets be installed by a professional
cabinet installer, experienced contractor, or skilled maintenance staff member. When
installing your Secure-A-Scope™ Cabinet, please adhere to the following recommendations:
• The Secure-A-Scope™ cabinet requires two people to handle and install, due to its
shallow footprint and overall height.
• Before moving cabinet to installation location, remove all packing materials
and inspect for damage immediately.
• All melamine cabinets have strips of wood on the bottom to protect the cabinet during
shipping. Once the strips are removed, the leveling feet will be accessible and can
easily be adjusted to level the cabinet.
• While one person supports and stabilizes the cabinet, the other should attach the cabinet
to the wall with appropriate hardware.
• Anchoring holes are not provided in the back of the
cabinet. Installers must drill their own.
• Attach the cabinet to the wall with at least two
anchors 18”-24” from the top of the cabinet. Install
screws or selected hardware into a stud or to
horizontal bracing between studs.
Note: If you are installing the Small Scope Cabinet such as the M1201HG,
use at least four anchors.
• If there is no stud, then use sheet rock anchors. If
using sheet rock anchors, attach the cabinet to the
all with four screws. Place two screws 18”-24” from
the top and two screws 18”-24” from the bottom.
• Do not over-tighten the screws when installing melamine Scope Cabinets, as there is
a recess built into the back of the cabinet to allow for airflow. Over-tightening the screw
could damage the back of the cabinet.

Door Handle Installation
• You will receive a nylon door pull with tall scope
cabinets. Place the provided bolt through this nylon
door pull before inserting the bolt through the lower
door assembly from the back.
Note: For shorter cabinets, you will not receive a door pull.
• Place the aluminum handle on the front of the door
assembly. Using a Phillips screwdriver, thread the
bolts into the aluminum handle. Do not over-tighten
these bolts.
Secure-A-Scope™
Rotating scope holders make loading and removing scopes easy, safe, and secure. Please
refer to the instructions provided by the scope manufacturer or by the Society of
Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) for additional information and procedures
for the safe storage of endoscopes.
To properly store scopes:
• Scope head should be on the higher
profile (hook) side of the Secure-A-Scope™
holder.
• Set the umbilical gently onto the
downward slope of the Secure-A-Scope™
holder.
• Gently insert the light source connector
into the separator rack. Leave the
insertion tube hanging freely.
Note: Do not store any part of any scope (such as an ultrasound connector) on the separator rack.

To remove scopes:
• Lift scope head up above the Secure-A-Scope™ and slide the light source connector
from the center separator rack.
NOTE: Avoid standing on or in the cabinet as doing so may cause injury, damage, and void the warranty.
Small Scope Holder
• The top head is to support the bulk
of the weight of the scope.
• The bottom head is to separate distal
tip or other parts of the scope that
need to be stored separately from
each other.
• Clean silicon inserts and scope holders
regularly with a mild detergent.
• Usage varies between scopes. Holders
are designed to hold 1-2 scopes each.
FlexLok™ Door Operation
• Using both hands, carefully apply gentle and even force to the handles on bottom of
the door and slide the door to the bottom of cabinet.
• Engage the keyed or keyless lock to secure your cabinet.
NOTE: Avoid slamming the door on the bottom of the cabinet as it may cause damage and void the warranty.
