We recommend reading the user manual thoroughly before using the
product (-s).
The information in this user manual applies to the shown products
provided that the products have not been modied or customized
and that the products have been used as recommended in this user
manual.
If the costumer changes, repairs or uses the product in other combi-
nations than recommended by master care A/S the CE-approval no
longer applies and the guarantee becomes void.
In case of doubt, contact master care A/S or our distributor in your
area.
MDR (EU) 2017/745:
Products in this user manual are CE-approved and follows the harmo-
nized standards. This means that the products are in compliance with
the essential health and safety directives. The product(-s) comply with
the standards in the Medical Device Regulation MDR (EU) 2017/745 –
Class 1.
The intended use of the product/-s:
1) The product is places in pairs underneath the user’s thighs to reduce
friction when the user moves or is moved backwards on the seat.
2) Place the pair under the user’s thighs. Slide the leg strap of the sling
between the plates to minimize the risk of shear injuries.
Correct use of the product:
The product is intended for users who has problems with moving
backward on the seat or where mounting of the sling may cause risk
of shear injuries.
If the user isn’t able to move backwards in the seat, place 1-2 plates
under the thigh(-s). If possible, have the user lean away from the side
where the plate is mounted. Users who are active in one side of the
body, placement of a Sif plate in the opposite side may be enough.
Otherwise place a plate underneath both thighs.
Warning:
If the product is used for users with high risk of shear injuries a sliding
sheet is recommended between the user and the product.
Risk assessment:
Always make a risk assessment and a functional assessment of the
user prior to using the product. This way using the product for trans-
ferring or moving a user, is ergonomic and legally sound.
Knowledge of the product/transferring:
It is important that the user of the product has been properly instruc-
ted in the use of the product and has read the user manual thoroughly
prior to using the product.

Life span:
The expected life span of products with normal wear and tear is 2-5
years. The products life span depends on the use and the user’s load.
Products with insufcient friction reduction, broken material or other
deciencies must be discarded. This way you will always keep a
sound and healthy work environment for both helper and user.
Make visual inspections frequently and preferably before every use.
Guarantee:
master care A/S provide a 2-year guarantee covering material defects
and manufacturing defects if the product has been used correctly.
Unintended events and injuries when misusing the products:
Unintended events must always be reported to the appropriate Na-
tional Authority and to master care A/S or the distributor in the current
country.

sonal injuries or product damages if the product(-s) have been used
in contravention of the by the manufacturer recommended intended
purpose or proper use of the product.

Placing a sling sheet using Master Glide Sif:
8. Remove the Master Glide Sif one at a time.
Repeat on the opposite side.
7. Insert the leg strap between the two Master
Glide Sif and pull it into place under the user´s
thigh.
5. Remove the Master Glide Sif on both sides by
rotating it and pulling it out. The user can lean
backwards again.
6. Place the sling sheet behind the user´s back
- Master Glide Thor can be used. Place the two
Master Glide Sif together under the user´s thigh
by pushing the tip of the boards into the surface.
3. The helper places them self in front of the user
and helps the user lean forward to free the back
from the backseat of the wheelchair.
4. The helper places the hands or the knee next
to the user´s knee and the user can easily be
pushed backwards into the correct position. The
more active user can push them self backwards.
2. If possible, ask the user to lean to the opposite
side. The helper places one Master Glide Sif un-
der each thigh by pushing the tip of the plate into
the cushion and then twisting it under the thigh.
1. Master Glide Sif is the perfect aid to help a
user backwards in a wheelchair. To erase the
pressure under the thighs, place the feet on the
chair´s footplates or e.g., on a Master Step On -
PMA-8091.
