Pro uct Description
The m tt:e Single Phase Electric Vehicle Charger Protection units (SP-EVCP-
T&R) are esigne for use in omestic welling applications where single
phase PME supplies are fee ing Electric Vehicle Chargers. They shoul NOT
be use on premises with 3 phase supplies
This manual covers the SP-EVCP-T & SP-EVCP-R
The units are not inten e for any purpose other than that efine within
this ocument.

Intro uction
The m tt:e of range Single Phase Electric Vehicle Charger Protection units
are esigne to protect Electric Vehicle Charging equipment when installe
onto single phase PME infrastructures .
All units incorporate an electronic etection circuit an 3 pole contactor. The
R version has a Type A RCBO on the incoming si e of the unit.
On etection of fault con itions the electronic circuit isconnects the EV
charger from the incoming supply inclu ing CPC. The isolation contactor is
certifie to BSEN 60947 an complies with the requirements of BS: 7671 18th
E ition.
The m tt:e SP-EVCP technology oes not require earth ro s or measuring
electro es to function correctly.
The unit is esigne to be installe between the istribution boar an the
Electric Vehicle Charger.
The inst ll tion loc tion should be cle n, dry nd well ventil ted.
m tt:e no longer use plastic bags as part of our pro uct packaging.
Wherever possible we utilise reusable bio egra able packaging for
transportation. We ask that you support our efforts to re uce un-necessary
waste an recycle all packaging appropriately. Thank you.

Connect the incoming cable from the istribution boar irectly to either the
terminals (-T version) or the RCBO (-R version).
Connect the outgoing cable to the contactor.

THIS PRODUCT IS DESIGNED FOR AN ISOLATED EARTHING
ARRANGEMENT. CHECK BEFORE USING SWA CABLE
On completion of inst ll tion the tightness of ll electric l
connections should be checked before energising the unit.
See specific tions for tightening torques.
Operating Instructions
With the supply switche on the unit will monitor the incoming supply
voltage. If the incoming supply is within limits approximately 5 secon s after
switching on the contactor will energise an connect the loa to the
incoming supply. This elay is to establish the incoming supply is stable
before applying power to the loa .
In the event the SP-EVCP unit etects a fault con ition on the monitore
supply for a perio of 4 secon s the contactor coil will be e-energise which
will open the contactor isconnecting phase, neutral an CPC from the loa .

Warranty
The SP-EVCP units are guarantee for a perio of 2 years from the ate of
manufacture.
This warranty is limite to the replacement of faulty components only.
