Open the battery compartment of receiver and insert the two “AAA”b
atteries. Open the battery compartmentof
transmitter andinsert the two “AAA” batteries.

Turn the receiver on by slidingswitch on the side of the receiver from OFF to ON. The unit will beep and

needs to be done

signal from the transmitter. Once(TX) is released it will take several seconds for the receiver to register. If it

The receiver unitnormally works wellup to 100 ft from the transmitter/base.However, if the receiver unitis taken
outside thewireless r
eceptionrangeorthere issevere externalradio interference,the receiver may notbeableto
receive the radio frequency signalfromthe transmitter/base.If this loss ofsignal conditionpersists for more than
1
minute, the devicewill start to alert yo
u by beeping once for
every

seconds,prompting you to correct the loss
of signal. To re

sync, you needto bring the receiver and transmitter/base close togetherand go through the
registration process again.

Thermometer mode, this device will alert you when the probe temperature reaches the set temperature.You
can select a meat type (Beef) by pressing the (MEAT) button and a taste level (WELL DONE) by pressing the
(TASTE) button. The set temperature of

Manual temperature setting
Timer mode (Count up /Count down)
Whenthe probe temperature is within10°F (5°C) of yourselected doneness/temperature, the unitwill beep
twice.
Whentheprobe temperature reachesyourselected doneness/temperature,theunit will beep 3 timespersecond
for 5 seconds and then silentfor 5 seconds. This beepingpattern willrepeat and last for 10 minutes.

How to use the
count up timer
1.
Press [MODE] button to select the Timer mode, the timer icon ‘
’will appear.
2.
In Timer mode and while the timeris stop running, press [CLEAR] button to reset the timerto 0:00.
3.
While the timerdisplay is0:00, press [START/STOP] buttonwil
ltriggertimerto countup, theicon‘
’will flash.
Press [START/STOP] button again to temporarily stop the counting.
4.
When the timer reaches the maximum count up time to 23:59:59,
it will stop counting at 0:00 and beep for 20
seconds to alert the user.

With the unit in Timer mode and the timer is stop running, press [CLEAR] button to reset the timer to 0:00.

Put the beltclip in the lower hole in the back of receiveraccordingto
step 1 in below picture,keep the beltclip in
horizontalpositionandpushit upward to slide into theupper holeas shown instep 2. Turnthe beltclip 90 degree
clockwise to lock it in the vertical position as step 3.

internal probe wire has shorted out eitherthrough moisture orheat damage.
7.
Make sure the probe tip is inserted into the meat at least 2.5 cm / 1 inch.
8.
If the temperature displayed seems to read too highor thetemperatureseemsto beincreasingtoo quickly,
check to make sure that th
e probe tip is not pokingthroughthefood totheoutside.Repositiontheprobe tip in
the center of the thickest part of the food. Avoid touching bone or heavy fat areas.

Always wear a heat resistant glove to touch the stainless steelprobe se
nsor or wire during or just after
cooking. Do not touch with bare hands.
2.
Keep the stainless steel probe sensor and wire away from children.
3.
Clean the stainless steel probe and dry thoroughlyafter each and every use.
4.
Do not use the receiver in the rain.It
is not waterproof.
5.
Do notexpose the plug of the stainless steel probe orthe plug
