Quick Installation Guide
Loading the ribbon
Prepare and
set up the printer
Place the LabelMax on a flat,
secure surface, then follow the
steps bellow:
1. Open the case
2. Turn on the LabelMax with the blue main
switch
3. The printer is ready to print and the Wi-Fi
connection is established within a minute.
A Wi-Fi connection is established with the
printer name and the last digits of the serial
number of the LabelMax. For example,
LabelMaxVS1-12345
4. Wi-Fi connection password: labelmax
5. The device is prepared in such a way that
you can print immediately after you have
connected to the printer via the Wi-Fi network.
Ready to Print!
1. Insert the right side of the ribbon first.
Then, insert the left side to the hole
at the left side of ribbon rewind hub
(green).
2. Press the print head release button to
open the print head mechanism.
3. Insert the right side of the ribbon
supply spindle (marked “R”) to the
ribbon supply hub first. Then, insert
the left side of ribbon supply spindle
to the hole at the left side of the
ribbon supply hub (green).
4. Pull the leader of the ribbon through
the print head and stick the leader of
the ribbon onto the ribbon rewinding
role.
5. Turn the ribbon rewind hub until the
ribbon plastic leader is thoroughly
wound and the black section of the
ribbon covers the print head. Wrap
the ribbon around the ribbon rewind
hub (green) at least 5 times.
6. Close the print head mechanism
with both hands and make sure the
latches are engaged securely.

Insert the media
1. Open the case.
2. Insert the media supply spindle
into the holder. Open the holder
a little by pulling it up and let the
spindle lock into the guide slots.
3. Push the print head release button
to open the print head mechanism.
Note: The gap sensor position is
moveable and the top sensor is fixed.
Please make sure the gap sensor
is at the location where media gap
will pass through for sensing.
4. Feed the paper, printing side face
up, through the media guides and
place the label leading edge onto
the platen roller. Move the media
guides to fit the label width.
5. Close the print head mechanism
with both hands and make sure the
latches are engaged securely.
