To be used in a forward-facing position with built-in
harness by a child whose shoulders are above the
lower shoulder height marker (approx. 6 months of
age) until their shoulders reach the middle shoulder
height marker (approx. 4 years of age).
Then to be used with a lap-sash seatbelt until the

Read and follow all of the installation instructions for maximum protection. If you
have any questions regarding the installation or use of this restraint, please
contact Dorel Australia or agent, or a child restraint tting station authorised by
the relevant transport authority, or in New Zealand, to consult the agent for the
vehicle.
To be used in a forward-facing position with built-in harness by a child whose shoulders
are above the lower shoulder height marker (approx. 6 months of age) until their shoulders
reach the middle shoulder height marker (approx. 4 years of age). Then to be used with a
lap-sash seatbelt until the child’s shoulders reach the upper shoulder height marker
(approx. 6-8 years of age).
Continue to use this child restraint until the child reaches this limit. Children are safest in
a booster seat until their shoulders reach the upper shoulder height marker of the booster
seat.
Do not use this child restraint until child’s shoulders are above the lower shoulder height
marker. Just using a seatbelt is not recommended for children that have outgrown this
seat. Use a larger booster seat.
If the knees do not bend in front of the vehicle seat cushion continue to use a booster
seat.
The use of child restraints in the front seat may be restricted for children of specic
ages by local legislation. Please check with your local legislation regarding any
restriction for child restraint. If a car has two or more rows of seats, children under four
must not travel in the front seat. If all seats, other than the front seats, are being used
by children under seven years, children aged between four and six years (inclusive) may
travel in the front seat, provided they use an approved child restraint or booster seat.
THIS RESTRAINT MUST BE ATTACHED TO A CHILD RESTRAINT UPPER ANCHORAGE
POINT IN THE CAR. REFER TO CAR OWNER’S HANDBOOK FOR LOCATION OF
ANCHORAGE POINTS. REFER TO A CHILD RESTRAINT FITTING STATION IF NO
ANCHORAGE POINTS ARE IN THE MOTOR CAR.
CAUTION: CHILDREN CAN BE INJURED OR RESTRAINTS AND TOP TETHER
STRAP DAMAGED BY UNSECURED CARGO IN A COLLISION. SECURE OR REMOVE
HAZARDOUS CARGO BEFORE USING THIS CHILD RESTRAINT.

cover with identical shoulder height markers or a replacement cover meeting AS/NZS
8005.

IMPORTANT
Child restraints must be used correctly to provide proper protection for your child. The new
type of clip anchorage system on child restraint must be used in the correct way.
Beespeciallycarefultousetheclipinthefollowingway.

FOR CARS FITTED WITH A CHILD RESTRAINT UPPER ANCHORAGE POINT
Locate the upper anchorage point behind the rear seating position (consult the car
owner’s handbook for the location of the upper anchorage point).
Remove the thread plug from the parcel shelf/oor/roof and install the attachment
bolt as shown in Figure 1.

If the car is not tted with a child restraint anchorage point.
For sedans only – Drill a 9mm diameter hole in the parcel shelf on the centre – line of the
seating position as shown in Fig 2. Install the anchor bolt as shown in Fig 3.

OR TO WOOD, OR SYNTHETIC STRUCTURES. WHEN DRILLING THE 9 mm HOLE
DO NOT DRILL THROUGH FUEL LINES, FUEL TANKS, ELECTRICAL WIRING, OR
RADIO SPEAKERS. WEBBING STRAPS MUST BE PROTECTED FROM SHARP COR-
NERS AND EDGES.
THE ANCHOR FITTING MUST BE USED ONLY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. IT MUST
NOT BE HOOKED ONTO ANY OTHER OBJECT.

IMPROPER PLACEMENT OF THE SAFETY SEAT INCREASES THE RISK OF
SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
SOME SEATING POSITIONS IN YOUR VEHICLE MAY NOT BE SAFE FOR THIS
SAFETY SEAT. SOME VEHICLES DO NOT HAVE ANY SEATING POSITIONS THAT
CAN BE USED SAFELY WITH THE SEAT. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHERE TO PLACE
THE BOOSTER SEAT IN YOUR VEHICLE, CONSULT YOUR VEHICLE’S OWNER’S
HANDBOOK.
WARNINGS
For sedans only
Drill a 9 mm diameter hole in the parcel shelf on the centre-line of the seating position
as shown in Figure 2 (as shown on pg 11). Install the anchor bolt as shown in Figure 3
(as shown on pg 11). It is recommended that this installation be carried out by a child
restraint tting station or licenced motor mechanic.
For vehicles other than sedans
In Australia, consult your nearest child restraint tting station or trafc authority for
vehicle inspection to nd the best, correct position for the placement of the upper
anchorage point, and for the correct attachment bolt length and use of spacers. In New
Zealand, consult the agent for the vehicle.

TOP TETHER
1. Press on the adjuster button with thumb and pull
strap back through to loosen anchorage strap.
2. To tighten, hold the adjuster rmly and pull on loose
end of top tether.
UPPER ANCHORAGE
3. Secure upper anchor hook to vehicle anchor. Follow
step 2 (above) to tighten tether in place.
CAUTION: CHILDREN CAN BE INJURED OR
RESTRAINTS AND TOP TETHER STRAP DAMAGED

Before you adjust the headrest, be sure to press the harness release lever and pull
on the harness to loosen.
ADJUSTING THE HEADREST HEIGHT
• The child restraint is tted with headrest Height Adjustment Lock which is RED in
colour. Squeezing it unlocks the headrest to move it up or down into the desired
height position.
5 height positions are

CleaningBuckle
Thebuckleshouldbecleanedbyfollowingthesteps:
• Placethebuckleunitunderrunningwater(40degreesCelsius)
• Letthewaterowthroughthemouthofthebuckleforoneminute.Simultaneously
latch and unlatch the tongues into the buckle several times until a strong audible “click”
is heard.
• Ifyoustillcannothearastrongaudible“click”afterlatchingthebuckleseveraltimes,
then repeat the process again.

CONFIGURING THE HARNESS BELT FOR
SHOULDER HEIGHT:
1. Lifttheharnessreleaseleveratthefrontofseat.
2. Pullbothshoulderstrapssimultaneouslytoloosen
the harness and release the buckle.
3. Liftthemiddlefabricpaneloftheheadrestofthe 
headrest to expose the red headrest adjuster.
4. Squeezetheleverandlifttheheadresttoadjust
 harnessheight.Ensurethattheheadrestclicks
into place.
5. Releasethebuckleandpullharnessstrapsover 
 sidesofinfantseat.Placechildinseat.
6. Placeharnessstrapsoverchild’sshoulders.Fasten

You MUST make these adjustments with your child before you install the child
restraint in the vehicle. Please adjust harness according to the infants shoulder height
prior to installation.
