QIntroduction
Familiarise yourself with the product before using it for the
first time. In addition please refer carefully to the operating
and assembly instructions and to the safety advice set out
below. Use the product only as described and for the indicated pur-
pose. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the product
on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the docu-
mentation.
QNormal use
The tabletop fountain is intended for use in a domestic indoor environ-
ment only. Any use other than that previously described or any
change to the product is not permitted and may lead to injuries and/
or damage to the product. The manufacturer does not assume any
liability for damage arising from improper use. The product is solely
intended for private and not for commercial use.

JThe tabletop fountain is suitable for use indoors only.
JUse the pump 8(Model: AP-300L) only in conjunction with the
supplied adapter 11 (Model: JBA41V-12-600), otherwise dam-
age to the product may occur.
JUse the pump 8only if it is fully covered with water. Failure to
observe this advice may result the pump 8overheating and
damage to the product.
JEnsure that the water is free of foreign objects that could be
sucked into the pump 8otherwise damage to the product may
occur.
JOperate the tabletop fountain with distilled water only. Do not
add any additives such as aromatic oils or similar substances, as
they could ignite and result in injury and / or damage.
Avoid putting your life at
risk from electric shock!
J Before using the device, make sure that power supply available
corresponds to the required operating voltage of the adapter 11
supplied.
J Before connecting the product to the mains, always check the de-
vice, the pump 8and the adapter 11 for any possible damage.
J A damaged device represents the danger of death from electric
shock.
J Please consult a specialist electrician if you discover any damage
or problems with the device, or for the performance of repairs to
the device.
J Never open any of the electrical equipment or insert any objects
into it. Such interventions represent the danger of death from elec-
tric shock.
J Never touch the mains plug with damp or wet hands.

JEnsure that the connection plug 10 and adapter 11 never come
into contact with water or other liquids.
J Do not misuse the power cable by using it to carry or hang up
the pump 8or to pull the adapter 11
out of the socket. Keep
the power cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving
parts. Damaged or tangled power cables increase the risk of
electric shock.
J Dispose of the pump 8when the power cables of the pump 8
are damaged! The power cables of the pump 8cannot be
replaced.
J Position the device and all electrical installations and connections in
such a way that the location cannot be flooded. All electrical con-
nections and installations must be located in the area that is safe
from flooding.
J Make sure that the adapter 11 is protected from water splashes.
J Only carry out work on the device when the adapter 11 has
been disconnected from the mains current.
JEnsure that the pump plug 9is fitted and seated properly on the
connection plug 10 before you fill the water container 12 with water.
J Never run the pump 8without water.

j Select a suitable location for the tabletop fountain.
j Ensure that the supporting surface is solid, flat and even.
CAUTION! If the supporting surface is uneven, the assembled
and water-filled tabletop fountain could overturn, resulting in inju-
ry and/or damage to the product.
CAUTION! Risk of fire if the halogen bulb 18 falls over.
CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Never try to move the tabletop
fountain if it is filled with distilled water. This could result in injury
or damage to property.

Note: Have a vessel filled with approx. 800 ml water ready before
you start assembly.
j Unpack the product and the accessories carefully.
Note: When you are unpacking the components make sure that
you do not unintentionally throw away any of the assembly materials.
j Place the water container 12 on a flat and even supporting sur-
face near a mains socket (230-240V ~, 50 Hz).
j Mount the lamp attachment assembly 1on to the ornamental
stone 2. To do this, position the lamp attachment 4exactly
over the holes for the lamp attachment 3and fix it firmly in
place by screwing in the screws 5(see Figure A and “Replacing
the bulb”). Use a PH1 screwdriver to tighten the screws.
j Fill the water container 12 with water up to the MAX marking (in-
side wall) of the water container 12 .
j Connect the pump 8to the connection hose 7with the con-
nection piece 15 .
j Increase (MAX) or reduce (MIN) the flow of water issuing from
the ornamental stone 2by means the +/- slider 14 (Fig. C).
j Place the base 6with the attached pump 8on the water container
12 and guide the lead from the pump 8through the recess 16 .
j Decorate the base 6with the pebbles 13 .
j Push the pump plug 9on to the connection plug 10 .
j Your tabletop fountain is now ready for use.

j Push the seal 9on to the connection plug 10 .
j Insert the adapter 11 into a properly installed mains socket to

switch the tabletop fountain on. The lamp halogen bulb 18 illumi-
nates and water flows out of the ornamental stone 2.
Note: Brush your hand across the water ouwtlet in the ornamen-
tal stone 2to ensure that the water flows evenly out of the orna-
mental stone 2.
j Pull the adapter 11 out of the socket to switch off the tabletop
fountain.
QChanging the distilled water
WARNING!
RISK OF LOSS OF LIFE BY ELECTRIC
SHOCK! Ensure that the pump plug 9does not fall into the water
or come into contact with water.
Note: To prevent algae from forming, change the water at regular
intervals – at least 1 x per week - and clean the water container 12 .

SHOCK! Pull the adapter 11 out of the socket.
jSeparate the pump plug 9from the connection plug 10 .
jRemove the base 6together with ornamental stone 2from the
water container 12 .
jPull the connection hose 7from the connection piece 15 .
jPlace the base 6together with the ornamental stone 2, lamp
attachment assembly 1and pump 8carefully to one side.
jPour out the water carefully. Clean the water container 12 with a
soft cloth (or similar) and a little cleaning agent, if necessary.
Remove limescale deposits from the water container 12 when
required using an ordinary limescale remover.
jFill the water container 12 with fresh water up to the MAX mark-
ing (inside wall) of the water container 12 .
jReassemble the tabletop fountain (see “Assembly”).

QReplacing the bulb
WARNING!

Pull the adapter 11 out of the mains socket before performing
any tasks on the product.
jRelease the screws 17 on the lamp attachment assembly 1
using a screwdriver (see Figure B).
jTake off the halogen bulb 18 . Insert a new halogen bulb 18 (see
Figure B).
jRetighten the screws 17 using a screwdriver.

WARNING!

TRIC SHOCK! Before doing any work on the prod-
uct, pull the adapter 11 out of the socket.
jEnsure that the water level never drops below the MIN marking
(inside) wall of water container 12 .
jFill up or change the “distilled” water when the water level is be-
low the MIN mark (see “Changing the water”). Check the water
level by slightly raising the base 6. If no water flows from the or-
namental stone 2, and the mains adapter 11 is connected to a
mains socket, then the water level is probably too low.
jChange the “distilled” water at least once a week (see “Chang-
ing the water”). This will prevent algae from forming.
jCheck and clean the tabletop fountain, pebbles 13 , water con-
tainer 12 and pump 8at regular intervals. Never use aggres-
sive or corrosive cleaning agents to do this. Ensure that no foreign
bodies can enter the pump 8or the connection hose 7.
jPour out the water and allow the tabletop fountain to dry com-
pletely if you are going to leave it unused for an extended period
(see “Changing distilled the water”).

Disposal
QDisposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials,
which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to
dispose of your worn-out product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the
product properly when it has reached the end of its useful
life and not in the household waste. Information on collec-
tion points and their opening hours can be obtained from
your local authority.
Faulty or used batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive
2006/66/EC. Please return the batteries and/or the device to the
available collection points.
