It isrecommendedthataShutOff Valvebeinstalled
at thegassupplysourceoutdoors.Install atapoint
afterthe gaspipeexitstheoutsidewalland beforethe
QuickDisconnectHose, orinstall itat the point
beforethegaslinepiping enterstheground.See

Pipesealingcompoundorpipethreadtaperesistant
tothe actionofNaturalGasmustbeusedonallmale
pipe threadswhenmakingtheconnection.
Disconnectyourgasgrillfromfuelsourcewhen
the gassupplyisbeing tested athigh pressures.
Thisgasgrillanditsindividual ShutOffValvemust
be disconnected fromthegassupplypipesystem
during anypressuretesting ofthatsystemat
pressurein excess of1/2psi(3.5kpa).
Turnoff yourgasgrillwhen thegassupplyis
tested atlowpressures.The grill mustbe isolated
fromthe gassupplypipesystembyclosingits
individual Manual ShutOffValveduringany
pressuretesting ofthe gassupplypipe systemat
pressuresequaltoorless than 1/2psi(3.5kpa).
The Quick Disconnectconnectstoa3/8inchNPT
threadfromgassource.TheQuick Disconnect
fitting isahand operateddevicethatautomatically
shutsoff the theflowofgasfromthe sourcewhen
itisdisconnected.
The QuickDisconnectfitting can be installed
horizontally,orpointingdownward.DONOT install
thefitting withtheopening pointing upward
becausethe fitting couldcollectwateranddebris.
TheDustCovers(plasticplugs)providedwiththe
Quick Disconnecthelpkeep the open ends
clean whiledisconnected.
The outdoorconnectormustbe firmlyattached to
aridged permanentconstruction.
TheQuickDisconnectMUSTBEinstalled above
ground.
WARNING: Donotroutethe 12 footQuick
DisconnectHoseunderadeck.The hosemustbe
visibleand inspected priortoeachgrilluse.
