Minelab Update Utility — VANQUISH
(MUU) Details:
Locate the Micro USB
connector inside the battery
compartment.
Open the Minelab Update
Utility. Connect the
VANQUISH to the computer
USB port with the Micro-USB
cable. VANQUISH will
automatically power on when
connected to the computer.
When VANQUISH is
identified, the MUU will
communicate with the
detector and determine the
current software version. If
an update is available, the
MUU will display “Updates are
available for your detector”.
Click INSTALL to begin
upgrade or QUIT to close MUU.
The VANQUISH detector
screen will show “UP”
during the update; the first
discrimination segment will
blink rapidly while the update
is in progress.
If your VANQUISH is up to
date, the application will
display “Your detector is up to
date” and prompt you to QUIT
the application.
Installation will take
approximately one minute.
Once the upgrade is complete,
VANQUISH will restart and
the MUU will prompt you to
disconnect the detector and
QUIT the application.
Note: Close the application
and reopen if updating
multiple VANQUISH detectors.
Carefully insert the low-profile
Micro-USB connector. NOTE:
care should be taken to insert
the connector straight as
inserting at an angle may
cause damage to the detector.

Remove the battery lid
(leave the batteries in place).

Note:
Batteries must be in place, and charged, to perform the update.
Your VANQUISH coil must be connected to perform the update.
Many Micro-USB cables that are supplied with electronics
(including those supplied with the battery charger and
headphones in the VANQUISH 540 Pro Pack) are "power only". To
update your VANQUISH, you will need to ensure your Micro-USB
cable supports data as well.
Only one VANQUISH can be connected to your computer during
the update operation.
VANQUISH will turn on automatically when plugged into
your computer.
Any custom detector settings will be preserved while performing
the update.
An Internet connection is required to download the Minelab
Update Utility to the computer, however, an Internet connection is
not required to update VANQUISH and this can be done offline.
Important: Do not turn off or disconnect the detector
during the update process.
Once the MUU is downloaded, connect the
Micro-USB Cable to your VANQUISH Detector
Once the Micro-USB Cable is connected to
your VANQUISH detector, run the MUU
