OPERATING THE HCWIFIADAPTER
1. Plug the device into the wall, and it will
begin motion detection recording
immediately. A blue LED indicator
means the device is operating.
2. To stop recording, unplug the device
from the wall, and it will save and stop
recording.
CONNECTING TO YOUR DEVICE
Before you start:
1. In order to view the live stream
remotely, you must first download the
P2PLiveCam App onto your smartphone.
It is available on the iPhone App Store
and Google Play.
2. Once the app downloads, you must
open it and register for an account. You
must login before connecting to your
device.

3. If you wish to record onto a MicroSD
Card, you must insert one into the
MicroSD card slot in the back of the
device.
CONNECTING YOUR DEVICE TO WI-FI
1. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet and
make sure the blue LED light turns on.
2. Turn on your phone’s Wi-Fi and look for
the Wi-Fi signal generated by the
device. It may take up to 5 minutes for
the Wi-Fi to be generated.
a. The Wi-Fi signal name will be
similar to this: “CMxxxxxxxxx”.
The x’s will be a string of random
numbers unique to your device.
3. Once the device generates its Wi-Fi
signal, connect to it via the Wi-Fi
settings on your phone.
a. NOTE: Some Android devices
may produce a warning that the

network has no internet access.
If you see this, choose to
connect to the network anyway.
4. After connecting to the Wi-Fi signal with
your mobile device, open the
P2PLiveCam App.
a. NOTE: For iOS devices, you must
wait until the Wi-Fi signal
appears next to your Phone
Carrier Name in the status bar at
the top of your phone screen.
5. Click “add new online camera” and the
device’s Wi-Fi address should appear
beneath the “Search(LAN)” title.
6. Select your device, and type in the
default password (8888) when
prompted. Click “confirm”.
7. Once the device finishes connecting to
your network, it will appear as “online”.
a. Tap the play icon to view a live
stream of your app.

HOW TO CONNECT DEVICE TO YOUR WIFI
1. Open the P2PLiveCam app on your
mobile phone.
2. Once the app opens, tap the settings
gear in the right corner. Go to “device
settings” and click “WiFi Config”.
3. From the list of available Wi-Fi
networks, click your personal Wi-Fi.
Type in your Wi-Fi password, and click
“submit”.
4. The device will reboot and connect to
your Wi-Fi network.
a. The device will disappear from
your list of cameras as it reboots.
Note: If you are unable to view your device
remotely after following these steps, please
repeat steps 1-7, and take care to enter the
correct password.

TRANSFER THE FILES TO YOUR PC
1. Connect the device to your computer
using the supplied USB cable.
2. Locate “Removable Disk” inside the
(My) Computer folder.
AutoPlay Removable Disk > Open
folder to view files

Go to Start > Computer >
Removable Disk
3. Open the Removable Disk drive.
4. Open the VIDEO folder containing the
files.
5. Double click the file you want to view.

TROUBLESHOOTING
HOW TO RESET THE DEVICE
Unplug the device and plug it back
in.
WHEN I PLAY BACK VIDEO I ONLY HEAR AUDIO
AND SEE NO VIDEO
Download VLC media player and
open the file with VLC.
