will help you learn to become familiar with your hearing aids and
experience a greater quality of life.
Your hearing aid may not look exactly like the illustrations shown within this
manual.
CAUTION
It is important to read the Regulatory & Safety Information and User Manual
thoroughly and completely. Follow the safety information to avoid damage
or injury.
This manual describes all optional features that your hearing aids may or may
not have. Confirm which options are valid for your hearing aids.

YOUR HEARING AIDS
Instrument type
Miracle-EarCONNECT™RIC 312 and Miracle-EarMINI™RIC 312
Hearing Aids are a RIC (Receiver-in-Canal) model.
The receiver is placed within the ear canal and connected to the
hearing instrument with the receiver cable.
Wireless functionality enables advanced audiological features
and synchronization between your hearing aids.
Bluetooth®low energy*technology is integrated and allows
for easy data exchange with your smartphone including audio
streaming when supported.
*The Bluetooth word mark and logos are owned by the Bluetooth SIG, Inc., and any use of such
marks by WS Audiology Denmark A/S of this product is under licenses. Other trademarks and
trade names are those of their respective owners.
**iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other

Getting to know your hearing aids
We recommend you familiarize yourself with your new hearing aids.
Try using the hearing aid controls in hand to make it easier to use the
controls while wearing them.
Trouble pressing the controls of your hearing aids? Ask your hearing care
professional about available accessories for your hearing aids.

For individuals using a CROS transmitter
CROS solutions are designed for people with profound hearing
loss in one ear which cannot be aided with a hearing aid. A CROS
transmitter worn on the non-aided ear captures sound from the
applicable side and transmits it to the hearing aid on the ear with
aidable loss when using a hearing aid. This allows the wearer of
the hearing aid to hear sounds from both sides.
CROS transmitter hearing aid
CROS TRANSMITTER
Two Solutions are available:
CROS solution:
For people with normal hearing in one ear and profound hearing
loss in the other. Sounds from the side with hearing loss are
captured and transmitted wirelessly to the good-hearing side.
BiCROS solution:
For people with profound hearing loss in one ear and less severe
hearing loss in the other. Sounds from the more severe hearing loss
side are captured and transmitted wirelessly to the better-hearing
side. The hearing aid processes and amplifies the sounds from
both sides.
The CROS transmitter works withspecific wireless hearing aids.
Your Hearing Care Professional will advise you on the compatible
models.

Controls
The rocker switch can be programmed by your Hearing Care
Professional to control the following functions.

Hearing programs
Your Hearing Care Professional can set custom programs for your
hearing aids. Discuss the programs that best meet your lifestyle
needs so they can create custom hearing programs for you.

Signal tones
CROS transmitter signal tones– like a low batterybeep –
are sent to the hearing aid. Ask your Hearing Care Professional
to configure the signal tones.
Features
Power-on-delay enables whistle-free insertion of hearing aids.
Read more in section “Turning on and off”
The tinnitus therapy feature generates a sound to distract you
from your tinnitus.
The app or a remote control can also be used to control many of these
functions.

Daily use
To assure comfort and ease of use of your hearing aids, they are
equipped with an onboard control feature or can be controlled with
an app. The Miracle-Ear®App is available on your app store.
Inserting and removing hearing aids
Your hearing aids have been programmed to your right and left ear.
Colored markers indicate the correct side
• redmarker= rightear
• bluemarker= leftear
Inserting a hearing aid
For sleeves, take care that
the bend of the sleeve is
in line with the bend of the
receiver cable.
Correct:
Incorrect:
Hold the receiver cable at the bend closer to the earpiece.
Carefully push the earpiece in
the earcanal .
Twist it slightly until it sits well.
Open and close your mouth to
avoid accumulation of air in the
earcanal.
Lift the hearing aid and slide it
over the top of your ear .

X Always wear the receiver cable with an ear piece.
X Make sure that the ear piece is completely attached.
CAUTION

X Insert the ear piece carefully and not too deeply into the ear.
It may be helpful to insert the right hearing aid with the right
hand and the left hearing aid with the left hand.
If you have trouble inserting the earpiece, use the other hand
to gently pull your earlobe downwards. This opens the ear
canal and eases insertion.

Using a retention strand
The optional retention strand helps to securely retain the earpiece in
your ear. To attach the optional retention strand:
1. Align the end of the retention strand with the
flat end of the receiver.
2. Then press the retention strand towards the
receiver until it clicks into place.
To position the retention strand:
3. Bend the retention strand and position
it carefully into the bottom of the bowl of your
ear (refer to the picture).
Removing a hearing aid
1. Lift the hearing aid and slide it over
the top of your ear .
2. For all other earpieces: Grip the receiver
in the earcanal with two fingers and pull
it carefully out .
Do not pull the receiver cable.
If your hearing aid has a custom shell or a mold, remove it by pulling
the small removal cord toward the back of your head.
Clean and dry your hearing aids after every use.
CAUTION
Risk of injury!
X In very rare cases the ear piece could remain in your ear when removing
the hearing aid. If this happens, have the ear piece removed by a medical
professional.

Turning on and off
You have the following options to turn your hearing aids on or off.
Via battery compartment:
Turning on: Close the battery compartment.
The default volume and hearing program are set.
Turning off: Open the battery compartment to the first catch.
Via rocker switch:
Turning on or off: Press and hold the rocker switch for
several seconds.
Refer to section “Controls” for the settings of the
rocker switch.
When wearing the hearing instruments, an alert
tone can indicate when an instrument is being
turned on or off.
When the power-on delay is activated, the hearing instruments
turn on after a delay of several seconds. During this time you
can insert the hearing instruments into your ears without
experiencing unpleasant feedback whistling.
The “power-on delay” can be activated by your Hearing Care
Professional.
Switching to standby mode
Standby mode mutes the hearing aids but does not turn them off.
Switch to standby mode using a remote control or the app.
• Settings return to previous when coming out of standby mode
Adjusting the volume
Your hearing aids automatically adjust the volume to your situation.
To change volume manually, press the upper part of the rocker
switch to increase the volume or lower part to decrease.
An optional signal can indicate the volume change. Once the
maximum or minimum volume has been reached, you may hear a
signal tone.
Changing hearing programs
Your hearing aids automatically adjust based on the listening
situation, environment and surroundings.
Your hearing aids may also have several hearing programs set by
your Hearing Care Professional to allow you to change the sound,
if needed.
To change the hearing program, press the rocker switch briefly.
An optional signal tone can indicate the program change. Default
volume is applied.
Additional optional controls may be available for your hearing aids.
Please discuss with your Hearing Care Professional.

BATTERIES
Battery size and handling tips
Ask your Hearing Care Professional for recommended batteries.
Battery size: 312
• Always use the correct battery size for your hearing instruments.
• Remove the batteries if you intend not to use the hearing
instruments for several days.
• Always carry spare batteries.
• Remove empty batteries immediately and follow your local
recycling rules for battery disposal.
Low power indication
When the battery is low the sound becomes weaker or you will hear
an alert signal. The battery type will determine how long you have
to replace the battery.
Replacing batteries
Removing the battery:
X Open the battery compartment.
X Use the magnet stick to pull out the battery. The
magnet stick is available as an accessory.
Inserting the battery:
X If the battery has a protective film, remove it only
when you are ready to use the battery.
Insert the battery with the "+"symbol facing up into
the battery door (refer to the picture).
Note: Please do not place the battery directly into
the housing.
Carefully close the battery compartment. If you feel resistance,
the battery is not inserted correctly. Do not attempt to close the
battery compartment by force. It can be damaged.

Troubleshooting for hearing aid
Problem and possible solutions
Sound is weak.
• Increase the volume.
• Replace the empty battery.
• Clean or exchange the earpiece.
Hearing aid emits whistling sounds.
• Reinsert the earpiece until it fits securely.
• Decrease the volume.
• Clean or exchange the earpiece.
Sound is distorted.
• Decrease the volume.
• Replace the empty battery.
• Clean or exchange the earpiece.
Hearing aid emits signal tones.
• Replace the empty battery.
Hearing aid does not work.
• Turn the hearing aid on.
• Gently close the battery compartment completely.
• Replace the empty battery.
• Make sure the battery is inserted correctly.
• Power-on delay is active. Wait several seconds and check again.
Consult your Hearing Care Professional if you encounter further
problems.
TELEPHONE AND SMARTPHONE USE
Telephone
When using any phone, hold the receiver slightly above your ear.
The hearing aid and phone receiver must be aligned. Turn the
receiver slightly so the ear is not completely covered.
You may prefer specific settings when using the phone. Ask your
Hearing Care Professional to set a telephone program to select for
frequent use. Use this program whenever you are on the phone.
Audio streaming with iPhone®and Android™
Your hearing aids support both:
• Made for iPhone (MFi)
• Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA) – Android
These features allows you to stream phone calls and music directly
to your hearing aids from your smartphone.
Bluetooth®
Your hearing aids are equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology.
Bluetooth enables audio streaming from smartphones and other
devices with appropriate connection through your smartphone.
Bluetooth functionality may be restricted in specific situations.
