Do not install this equipment in a confined or built-in
space such as a bookcase or similar unit, and keep

not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings

Servicing is required when the apparatus has been
damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or
plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects
have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has
been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate
normally, or has been dropped.
Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket,
or table specified by the manufacturer, or
sold with the apparatus. When a cart or rack
is used, use caution when moving the
cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury
from tip-over.

will produce distorted waveforms which will quickly damage your speakers by
overheating. Make sure that your amplifier is not left unattended when playing, for
example at parties, and turn the volume control down at the first sign of audible
distortion.

General Information
Misson is a brand that purveys lifestyle audio that fuses Hi-Fi heritage with contemporary design.
Music leads, technology follows.
The Mission LX CONNECT DAC is a stand-alone digital-to-analogue converter, pre-amp and
headphone amplifier, derived from the award-winning Mission LX CONNECT wireless speaker system.
It fuses the Mission mantra of innovative, attractive design and class-leading performance with the
latest audio technology, to enhance your audio experience.
Designed to function as a central console for all your music sources, with analogue, optical and coax
digital inputs, the Mission LX CONNECT DAC also features a dedicated HDMI ARC connection to
bring high fidelity, true wireless performance for TV, movies and games. It is even equipped with a
Bluetooth aptX receiver for wireless streaming of hi-resolution audio from tablets and smartphones.
The LX CONNECT DAC is controlled gracefully via the touch-sensitive display, or for even more
convenience you can use the included remote. The versatile connectivity options and compact form
factor means it can be used as the all-encompassing DAC and pre-amp interface for any amplifier,
active speakers, computer audio or head-fi system.

Please read these instructions carefully before installing your loudspeakers. A few minutes
studying this manual will ensure a superb performance from your loudspeakers for many

Please note: The remote control requires 1 x CR2025 type battery. Due to international shipping and
courier regulations with Lithium Ion batteries, the remote controller battery is not included in this
package.
Consult the dealer from whom you purchased the equipment if any item is not present. Carefully
unpack the unit and accessories.
Retain the packing materials for future use. Retain the user manual and information concerning the
date and place of purchase of your equipment for future reference. If you transfer the unit to a third
party please pass on this instruction manual along with the equipment.

Connect your playback device via the via the auxiliary, optical, coaxial, PC USB, or AV audio inputs on
the rear panel.
Connect the LX CONNECT DAC mains supply.
When powered on, the LX CONNECT DAC indicator light will then illuminate dimly, which means it is
now in standby mode.
Either press the STANDBY button on the unit, or press the STANDBY button on the remote control
and the standby LED will turn on brightly. The screen will then briefly display the Mission logo,
confirming the unit is powered on. To return to standby, press the STANDBY button once more.
To adjust the volume, press the '+' and '-' buttons on the front panel of the unit or remote. Volume is
adjustable from 0 to 50. When the LX CONNECT DAC is restarted, the default volume is 25.
The DISPLAY button on the remote control will toggle the front panel display ON/ OFF. When the
display is OFF, use the front panel control or pressing any remote key will momentarily turn on the
display. After 10 seconds, the display will automatically turn o again.

Analogue Input
Connect your analogue sources to the line level input AUX IN.
Coaxial Digital Input
Connect your coaxial digital sources to COAX IN.
Optical Digital Input
Connect your optical digital sources to OPT IN.
The USB input enables you to connect a Mac or PC to the unit for playing audio files
stored on a computer. To use the USB input for the first time, a Windows PC will require
the installation of the USB driver. Download the driver via www.mission.co.uk. Please
refer to the USB and DSD Setup Guide supplied with the driver files. Connect your
computer to the unit via USB cable (type A to Type B).
LX CONNECT DAC is Roon Tested. Roon transforms the experience of browsing music;
artist photos, credits, bios, reviews, lyrics, tour dates; and composers are located
automatically, then interconnected by links to build a searchable digital magazine about
your music collection. Roon finds all the same links between your personal files and the
millions of tracks available on TIDAL, so you can start with the music you know, then
explore and discover new music from the world beyond your collection.
USB Input
AV AUDIO function allows you to send audio from your ARC-compliant TV to
LX CONNECT DAC through a single HDMI connection. To enjoy the AV AUDIO function,
please ensure your TV is both HDMI-CEC and ARC compliant and set up accordingly.
Please note: Your TV must support the HDMI-CEC and ARC function. HDMI-CEC and
ARC must be set to on. The configuration method of HDMI-CEC and ARC may dier
depending on the brand or model of your TV. For details about the ARC function, please
refer to your TV owner's manual. Only HDMI 1.4 cables can support the ARC function.
AV AUDIO
When selecting the Bluetooth input, the hub will display 'Pairing' which means the hub is
not yet connected to a Bluetooth device and is searching for one.
To connect, turn on the Bluetooth function on your smartphone, tablet or computer
device. Search for active Bluetooth devices. You will then see LX CONNECT DAC as an
option to connect. Select the LX CONNECT DAC option to pair to device and the hub
will then display “Connected” to confirm.
If you switch to an alternative input Bluetooth will disconnect automatically in 60
seconds, however when you switch back, Bluetooth will connect automatically to your
device once more.

Pre-amplifier (Pre Out) output for driving external power amplifiers, subwoofers or
signal processors.
A stereo 6.3mm (1/4") jack is provided on the front panel for connecting headphones.
When headphones are connected the Pre Out signal will auto cut o.

LX CONNECT DAC UPDATE port is only used for updating the internal software or
service purposes. This is a non-user serviceable connection. Please refer to the Mission
website or your Mission dealer concerning updates or service.

Menu Options
To access additional controls over the LX CONNECT DAC, either press 'MENU' on your remote or
touch the MENU button on the front panel of the unit. This will give you dierent options: Digital Filter,
DSD BW, DPLL BW, Balance, Pre Delay, Brightness, Default Channel, Auto Standby, Pre Out Level,
Default Volume, Factory Reset, Update and Firmware. You can toggle through the dierent options
by pressing the '+' or '-' controls on the unit or left and right controls on the remote. The source button
on unit toggles between menu select and the menu parameter, or you can press the VOL+/VOL+
button on the remote. When you have selected a parameter to adjust, press the '+'or'-' buttons on the
unit, or left and right controls on the remote.
LX CONNECT DAC has a choice of 3 digital filters to oer the
best performance and compatibility with your digital audio files
and system:
Fast roll o: Standard flat response with fast frequency roll of
above Fs/2 (half the sampling frequency).
Slow roll o: Starts rolling of at a lower frequency than the Fast
filter but has a more gentle rate of attenuation. This is the
default filter for the LX CONNECT DAC.
Minimum phase: Has a gentle attenuation slope similar to the
Slow filter but with minimum phase characteristics. It can be
likened to an analogue filter applied in the digital domain.

DPLL setting is used for changing the bandwidth of the digital
phase lock loop of the D/A converter to accommodate dierent
levels of jitter on the incoming SPDIF signal.
Normal mode should be selected for signals with low jitter, while
Wide mode should be selected for signals with abnormal jitter.
For best audio quality leave this setting at the default value
Normal, only use Wide for a given input if the LX CONNECT DAC
is having problems locking onto the source.

the system. The default setting is 25, adjustable in 0 to 50.

The LX CONNECT DAC features optical, coaxial, PC USB, AV audio and RCA inputs on the rear panel
with an additional Bluetooth aptX connection for wireless integration of laptops, smart phones and
tablet devices. It is controlled gracefully via the touch sensitive display, or for even more convenience
you can use the included remote control.
LX CONNECT DAC will work as a stand-alone DAC with a built-in headphone output and pre-output.
You can connect it to your amplifier or existing system, for use as a Hi-Fi grade DAC.

Mission warrants its products, subject to the following terms and conditions below, to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship.
The three (3) year extended warranty is applicable to items purchased from Jan 1st 2021, onwards.
Items purchased prior to this date are not eligible for this extended warranty service but are subject
to statutory warranty claims and all applicable consumer rights.
To qualify for the extended 3 year warranty, you must register your product within ninety (90)
calendar days from the date of purchase. Visit mission.co.uk/warranty-registration to complete your
online registration. Items not registered online will have a Limited Warranty for one (1) year, or for the
period of your country’s statutory warranty, whichever is longer.
Warranty can only be oered to products registered with proof of purchase with date, model and
details of the authorised dealer clearly stated on the receipt/invoice. Please keep the original
receipt/invoice in case it is required for a warranty claim.
This Limited Warranty is non-transferable and is oered exclusively to the original owner.
This Limited Warranty is valid only in the original country of purchase.
Repairs or replacements are provided under this warranty are the exclusive remedy of the consumer.
Mission shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages for breach of any expenses or
implied warranty with any product. Except to the extent prohibited by law, this warranty is exclusive
and in lieu of all other warranties whatsoever, both expressed and implied, including but not limited to
the warrant of merchantability and fitness for practical purpose.
This warranty provides benefits that are additional to and do not aect your statutory consumer
rights.
This Limited Warranty oer is subject to correct information being submitted in your application.
Incorrect dates or mismatched purchase receipt dates that are outside of the warranty terms will
immediately invalidate any warranty claim.

Exclusions
The following items are excluded from the Mission warranty:
Normal wear and tear and cosmetic damage (including but not limited to any wear from reasonable
use, environmental deterioration or neglect)
Products on which the serial number has been removed, altered or otherwise made illegible.
Products not purchased from an authorised Mission dealer.
Products that were not new at the time of original purchase.
Products sold ‘as is’, ‘as seen’ or ‘with faults’
Product not purchased from an Authorised Dealer/Distributor within the region of the claim (ie
parallel imports or grey market products)

Accidental damage or faults caused by commercial use, acts of God, incorrect installation, incorrect
connection, incorrect packaging, misuse or careless operation or handling which is not in accordance
with the user instructions.
Equipment that has been operated in conjunction with unsuitable, inappropriate or faulty apparatus.
Repairs, alterations or modifications carried out by parties other than Mission or its authorised service
partners.
Damage in transit that cannot be attributable to the fault of Mission, the authorised distributor or
dealer (ie. claims otherwise covered by transit insurance.)
Faults relating to abnormal or inappropriate power supply voltage or power surges.
Faults relating to extremities in temperature, exposure to heat, water or other liquids, insects,
excessive moisture, sand, chemicals, battery leakage or any other contaminants.
Any force majeure events, including but not limited to any acts of God, fire, lightning, typhoon, storm,
earthquake, hurricane, natural disaster, tsunami, flood, war, riot, public disturbance.
Any other causes beyond the reasonable control of either Mission and its Authorised Distributor.
Please note items purchased before 1st Jan 2021 are not eligible for the extended warranty claim.
How to Claim
To obtain warranty service please contact the authorised dealer from which you purchased this
product and present the limited warranty certificate oered upon registration of your product’s
extended warranty oer.
Do not dispatch goods without the prior agreement of the dealer distributor or authorised service
centre.
If asked to return products for inspection and or repair, please pack carefully preferably in the original
carton or packaging aording an equal degree of protection and returned via insured, trackable
courier service.
The authorised dealer or distributor will oer full return details and instructions. However, please note
if unsuitable packaging is used the warranty may be deemed void due to improper action in return.
Mission or the authorised distributor, dealer or service centre may make a charge for the supply of new
packaging for the return of the repaired item. Please note, insurance is recommended as goods are
returned at the owner’s risk. Authorised distributors or service centres cannot be held liable for loss or
damage in transit. insurance and freight charges on the return journey will be paid for by Mission,
authorised dealer, distributor or service centre if corrective work proves to be necessary.
In the event of ‘no-fault found’ or ‘no repair necessary’, the return shipping charge will be the
responsibility of the owner.
Repairs
All repairs will be carried out by the appointed distributor (or locally appointed service centre). Repairs
handled or processed without authorisation or approval of the appointed representative will be
excluded from this limited warranty. Please note, Mission is not able to supply parts or replacement
items to any other entity than the ocial distributor or authorised service centre.
Other than the warranty and services set out in this warranty, to the fullest extent permitted by law,
Mission shall not be liable to you and/or any third party or entity whatsoever for:
Any loss, damages and/or malfunction caused to any product(s) which is/are connected to any of
the products covered by this warranty.
Any damages, loss and liability, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential special, punitive or
otherwise, howsoever caused by, arising out of or otherwise, in relation to the installation, delivery,
use, service, repair, replacement and/or maintenance of the product;
Any damages, loss and liability under this warranty in respect of any act, omission, or negligence of
any of their technicians, employees, agents, representatives or independent contractors relating to
the actual or purported performance of any of the obligations under this warranty.

Should a fault occur with your loudspeakers, please pack it correctly, using the original packing, so you
can ship it safely. Product for service should be returned to the appointed dealer from whom you
purchased the product. If you experience difficulties or there is no Mission dealer in your area, contact
