Videosignal-Verteiler
1Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Der Videosignal-Verteiler TD-408 wird in Video-Über-
wachungsanlagen eingesetzt und kann die Videosignale
von vier Überwachungskameras auf jeweils zwei Geräte
verteilen (z. B. Monitor, Videorecorder, Kameraumschalter
etc.). Durch interne Steckbrücken lässt sich jedoch jeder
Ausgang mit jedem beliebigen Eingang verbinden.
2Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät entspricht der Richtlinie für elektromagneti-
sche Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG und der Niederspan-
nungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.
●Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich. Schützen
Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit
und Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
●Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße, z. B.
Trinkgläser, auf das Gerät.
●Die im Gerät entstehende Wärme muss durch Luftzirkula-
tion abgegeben werden. Decken Sie darum die Lüftungs-
öffnungen des Gehäuses nicht ab.
●Stecken Sie nichts durch die Lüftungsöffnungen! Dabei
kann es zu einem elektrischen Schlag kommen.
●Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb bzw. ziehen Sie
sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose, wenn:
Achtung! Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netz-
spannung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie
selbst Eingriffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsachgemäßes Vor-
gehen besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages.
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netzan-
schlussleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Verdacht auf
einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Geben Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in eine
Fachwerkstatt.
●Eine beschädigte Netzanschlussleitung darf nur durch
den Hersteller oder eine autorisierte Fachwerkstatt ersetzt
werden.
●Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung aus der
Steckdose.
●Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes, weiches
Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder Wasser.
●Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch bedient oder
nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann für eventuelle Schäden
keine Haftung übernommen werden.
●Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb genommen wer-
den, übergeben Sie es zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung
einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3Inbetriebnahme
Vom Werk aus ist das Gerät so eingestellt, dass jeweils ein
Eingangssignal auf zwei Ausgänge verteilt wird:

1) Die Videoausgänge der Kameras (oder von anderen
Videoquellen) an die Buchsen VIDEO IN (3) anschließen.
Video Signal Distributor
1Applications
The video signal distributor TD-408 ist used in video surveil-
lance systems and can distribute the video signals of four
surveillance cameras to two units each (e. g. monitor, video
recorder, camera switcher, etc.). However, by internal jum-
pers it is possible to connect each output to any desired input.
2Safety Notes
This unit corresponds to the directive 89/336/EEC for elec-
tromagnetic compatibility and to the low voltage directive
73/23/EEC.
●The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it against
dripping water and splash water, high humidity, and heat
(admissible ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
●Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e. g. drinking
glasses, on the unit.
●The heat being generated in the unit has to be removed
via air circulation. Therefore, the air vents at the housing
must not be covered with any objects.
●Do not insert or drop anything into the air vents! This could
result in an electric shock.
●Do not set the unit into operation, and immediately dis-
connect the mains plug from the mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the unit or to the mains cable,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or similar
accident,
3. there are malfunctions.
The unit must in any case be repaired by skilled personnel.
●Adamaged mains cable must only be replaced by the
manufacturer or by authorized, skilled personnel.
●Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the mains plug
from the mains socket.
Attention! The unit is supplied with hazardous mains volt-
age (230 V~). Leave servicing to skilled personnel only.
Inexpert handling may cause an electric shock hazard.
●For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.
●If the unit is used for purposes other than originally in-
tended, if it is not operated correctly, or not repaired in an
expert way, there is no liability for possible damage.
●If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively, take it to
a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not harmful
to the environment.
●Important for U.K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance
with the following code:
green/yellow = earth; blue = neutral; brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appli-
ance may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must be
connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked
with the letter Eor by the earth symbol , or coloured
green or green and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to
the terminal which is marked with the letter Nor colou-
red black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be connected
to the terminal which is marked with the letter Lor
coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed.
3Setting into Operation
The unit is factory-set so that one input signal each is distri-
buted to two outputs:

1) Connect the video outputs of the cameras (or of other
video sources) to jacks VIDEO IN (3).
2) Connect the outputs VIDEO OUT (2) each to the video in-
put of the following unit (e. g. monitor, video recorder, etc.).
3) Finally connect the mains plug of the connection cable (1)
to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz) and switch on the video
signal distributor with the power switch on the front panel.
3.1 Free assignment of inputs and outputs
Matching the output level
1) First disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket,
then screw off the housing cover (7 screws).
2) With the jumpers J201 to J271 select the desired input
separately for each output (fig. 2).
3) With the eight trimming potentiometers TP201 to TP271
(fig. 2) it is possible to match the level of all outputs, if
required.
4) Fasten the housing cover with screws again.

2) Die Ausgänge VIDEO OUT (2) jeweils mit dem Video-
eingang des nachfolgenden Gerätes verbinden (z. B.
Monitor, Videorecorder etc.).
3) Zum Schluss den Netzstecker des Anschlusskabels (1)
in eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken und den
Videosignal-Verteiler mit dem Netzschalter auf der Front-
seite einschalten.
3.1 Ein- und Ausgänge frei zuordnen
Ausgangspegel anpassen
1) Zuerst den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen, dann
den Gehäusedeckel abschrauben (7 Schrauben).
2) Mit den Brücken J201 bis J271 für jeden Ausgang
getrennt den gewünschten Eingang anwählen (Abb. 2).
3) Mit den acht Trimmpotis TP201 bis TP271 (Abb. 2) lässt
sich bei Bedarf der Pegel aller Ausgänge anpassen.
4) Den Gehäusedeckel wieder festschrauben.

Répartiteur de signal vidéo
1Possibilités d’utilisation
Le TD-408 est un répartiteur de signal vidéo et est utilisé
dans des installations de surveillance vidéo ; il peut répartir
les signaux vidéo de quatre caméras de surveillance sur
respectivement deux appareils (p. ex. moniteur, magnétos-
cope, sélecteur de caméras…). Chaque sortie peut être
reliée à chaque entrée voulue grâce aux cavaliers internes.
2Conseils d’utilisation
Le TD-408 répond à la norme européenne 89/336/CEE
relative à la compatibilité électromagnétique et à la norme
73/23/CEE portant sur les appareils à basse tension.
●L’appareil n’est conçu que pour une utilisation en intérieur.
Protégez-le des éclaboussures, de tout type de projec-
tions d’eau, de l’humidité et de la chaleur (température
ambiante admissible 0 – 40 °C).
●En aucun cas, vous ne devez poser d’objet contenant du
liquide ou un verre sur l’appareil.
●La chaleur dégagée par l’appareil doit être correctement
évacuée par les ouïes de ventilation. En aucun cas, ces
dernières ne doivent être obturées.
●Ne faites rien tomber dans les ouïes de ventilation, vous
pourriez vous électrocuter.
●Ne le faites jamais fonctionner et débranchez-le immédia-

2. après une chute ou accident similaire..., l’appareil peut
présenter un défaut,
3. des dysfonctionnements apparaissent.
Dans tous les cas, les dommages doivent être réparés par
un technicien spécialisé.
●Tout cordon secteur endommagé doit être exclusivement
remplacé par le fabricant ou un technicien habilité.
●Ne débranchez jamais l’appareil en tirant sur le cordon
secteur.
●Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de dommage
si l’appareil est utilisé dans un but autre que celui pour
lequel il a été conçu, s’il n’est pas correctement utilisé ou
réparé par une personne habilitée.
●Pour nettoyer l’appareil, utilisez un chiffon sec et doux, en
aucun cas de produits chimiques ou d’eau.
●Lorsque l’appareil est définitivement retiré du circuit de dis-
tribution, vous devez le déposer dans une usine de recy-
clage adaptée, locale, pour une élimination non polluante.
3Mise en service
L’appareil est réglé en sortie d’usine de telle sorte qu’un si-
gnal d’entrée respectivement est réparti sur deux sorties :

1) Reliez les sorties vidéo des caméras (ou des autres sour-
ces vidéo) aux prises VIDEO IN (3).
2) Reliez les sorties VIDEO OUT (2) à une entrée vidéo de
l’appareil suivant (p. ex. moniteur, magnétoscope...).
3) Reliez maintenant la prise du cordon secteur (1) à une
prise 230 V~/50 Hz et allumez le répartiteur avec l’inter-
rupteur situé sur la face avant.
3.1 Gestion libre des entrées et sorties
Adaptation du niveau de sortie
1) Débranchez tout d’abord l’appareil puis dévissez le cou-
vercle du boîtier (7 vis).
2) Avec les cavaliers J201 à J271, sélectionnez séparé-
ment pour chaque sortie, l’entrée souhaitée (schéma 2).
3) Avec les 8 potentiomètres trimmers TP201 à TP271
(schéma 2), vous pouvez si besoin adapter le niveau de
toutes les sorties.
4) Revissez le couvercle du boîtier.

1Possibilità d’impiego
Il distributore di segnali video TD-408 viene impiegato in
impianti di sorveglianza video e può distribuire i segnali
video di quattro telecamere su due apparecchi ciascuna
(p. es. monitor, videoregistratore, selettore di telecamere
ecc.). Grazie ai ponticelli interni è possibili collegare ogni
uscita con un qualsiasi ingresso.
2Avvertenze di sicurezza
Quest’apparecchio è conforme alle direttive CE 89/336/CEE
sulla compatibilità elettromagnetica e 73/23/CEE per appa-
recchi a bassa tensione.
●Far funzionare lo strumento solo all’interno di locali. Pro-
teggerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli spruzzi d’acqua,
da alta umidità dell’aria e dal calore (temperatura d’impie-
go ammessa fra 0 e 40 °C).
●Non poggiare sullo strumento contenitori riempiti di liquidi,
p. es. bicchieri.
●Dev’essere garantita la libera circolazione dell’aria per dis-
sipare il calore che viene prodotto all’interno dell’appa-
recchio. Non coprire in nessun modo le fessure d’aerazione.
●Non inserire oggetti nelle fessure d’aerazione e non farci
cadere niente! Altrimenti si potrebbe provocare una scari-
ca elettrica.
Attenzione!
Quest’apparecchio funziona con tensione di rete di 230 V~.
Non intervenire mai al suo interno; la manipolazione scor-
retta può provocare delle scariche pericolose.
●Non mettere in funzione l’apparecchio e staccare subito la
spina rete se:
1. l’apparecchio o il cavo rete presentano dei danni visi-
bili;
2. dopo una caduta o dopo eventi simili sussiste il so-
spetto di un difetto;
3. l’apparecchio non funziona correttamente.
Per la riparazione rivolgersi sempre ad un’officina compe-
tente.
●Il cavo rete, se danneggiato, deve essere sostituito solo
dal costruttore o da un laboratorio autorizzato.
●Staccare il cavo rete afferrando la spina, senza tirare il
cavo.
●Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido, asciutto; non
impiegare in nessun caso prodotti chimici o acqua.
●Nel caso d’uso improprio, d’impiego scorretto o di ripara-
zione non a regola d’arte non si assume nessuna re-
sponsabilità per eventuali danni.
●Se si desidera eliminare l’apparecchio definitivamente,
consegnarlo per lo smaltimento ad un’istituzione locale
per il riciclaggio.
3Messa in funzione
All’uscita dalla fabbrica, l’apparecchio è regolato in modo tale
che un segnale d’ingresso viene distribuito su due uscite:

1) Collegare le uscite video delle telecamere (o di altre sor-
genti video) con le prese VIDEO IN (3).
2) Collegare le uscite VIDEO OUT (2) con l’ingresso video
dell’apparecchio a valle (p. es. monitor, videoregistratore
ecc.).
3) Alla fine inserire la spina del cavo di collegamento (1) in
una presa (230 V~/50 Hz) e accendere il distributore dei
segnali video con l’interruttore di rete sito sul frontale.
3.1 Assegnazione delle uscite e degli ingressi
Adattamento del livello d’uscita
1) Staccare per prima cosa la spina di rete dalla presa,
quindi svitare il coperchio (7 viti).
2) Con l’aiuto dei ponticello da J201a J271 selezionare sepa-
ratamente per ogni uscita l’ingresso desiderato (fig. 2).
3) Con gli otto potenziometri da TP201 a TP271 (fig. 2) è pos-
sibile adattare, se necessario, il livello di tutte le uscite.
4) Riavvitare bene il coperchio.
