Frame assembly Ensambladura del armazón
Attach the hinges to the Bedguard frame and
front leg as shown.
IMPORTANT - Ensure that the Bedguard frame
and legs are fully inserted into the sockets on
the hinge. Secure using 2 screws on each hinge
as shown.

To adjust the Bedguard to fit your
mattress, lift the mattress off the bed,
remove any bedding and place the
Bedguard assembly on top of the
mattress. Take the Backbar assembly
and position it BETWEEN the Front legs
so that the plastic retaining hooks are
in line with the edge of the mattress.

quite el colchón a la cama,
quitándole a la vez toda ropa de
cama y coloque el conjunto del
Bedguard encima del colchón. Tome
el conjunto de la barra trasera y
colóquelo ENTRE las patas delanteras

Push Adjustment Screws through the
Rear legs and into the Metal Inserts
in the Front legs as shown. If required,
move the Backbar closer to the
Bedguard to ensure alignment of the
two holes and to give a firmer grip on
the mattress at the next stage.
IMPORTANT - Ensure that the four
screws are securely located in the
metal inserts and the same holes in
the Rear legs are used on each side.
Now that the Bedguard is
adjusted for size, see picture 7 for
fitting to the bed.

Backbar assembly Ensambladura de la barra trasera
Attach the Rear legs to the Backbar using the
two Backbar screws as shown. Tighten with the
Allen Key provided.

ADVERTENCIA
Le seguridad de su niño es su responsabilidad
• No recomendamos este Bedguard para niños de menos de 18 meses ni para
aquellos de más de 5 años de edad.
• Se recomienda que este Bedguard solo se use para niños capaces de subir y
bajar de la cama sin ayuda.
• El Bedguard no debe servir en lugar de una camita de niño porque no proporcion
a el mismo nivel de seguridad como una camita
• Cuando esté instalado a la cama con el lado en la posición levantada, siempre
asegúrese que el lado tenga contacto con el colchón.
• Previo al uso, asegure que los brazos del Bodyguard estén bien sujetados por el
colchón.
• Una vez instalado a la cama, el Bodyguard debe revisarse para asegurar que
esté debidamente instalado y seguro.
• En el caso de requerirse piezas de recambio, éstas solo deben conseguirse de
Mothercare Ltd.
• El Bedguard no debe usarse con una superficie para dormir de más de 600mm
sobre el suelo.
• ADVERTENCIA - Para evitar el riesgo de estrangulación, es imprescindible asegurar
que, cuando esté instalado el Bodyguard, haya un espacio de por lo menos
250mm entre los extremos de la cama y los del Bodyguard.
• No es apto para el uso con adultos ancianos o enfermos ni para el uso en
situaciones no domésticas.
• Apto para camas que tengan un colchón de 540mm a 920mm de ancho, de 80mm
a 200mm de espesor y con un largo mínimo de 1400mm.

La limpieza
Su Bedguard se aprovechará de una aplicación ocasional de una cera de lustrar
para mantener su buen aspecto. Las bisagras de plástico deben frotarse con un
trapo húmedo. No use limpiadores abrasivos ni los que contengan lejía en ninguna
parte del Bedguard.
Mantenimiento y piezas de recambio
Revise el Bedguard de forma regular para que no tenga piezas dañadas, perdidas
o rotas. En el caso de encontrarse cualquier pieza defectuosa, no use el Bedguard.
En el caso de requerir piezas de recambio, favor contactar su almacén Mothercare
local o dirigirse a la línea de Atención al Cliente a 01923 210210.
Este Bedguard debe inspeccionarse periódicamente especialmente los dispositivos
de cierre.

Beds with Raised Sides Camas con lados
altos
To fit the Bedguard to a bed with
raised sides, lift the mattress off the
bed, remove any bedding and place
the Bedguard assembly on top of the
bed base. Take the Backbar assembly
and position it BETWEEN the Front
legs so that the rear of the Backbar is
against the far side of the bed base

con lados altos, quite el colchón a

Insert Screws through the Rear legs and

Cleaning
Your bedguard will benefit from an occasional application of a wax furniture polish
to
maintain its appearance. The plastic hinges should be wiped with a damp cloth. Do
not use abrasive or bleach based cleaners on any part of the Bedguard.
Maintenance and spare parts
Regularly check the Bedguard to ensure that no parts are damaged, missing or
broken.
If any parts are found to be defective, do not use the guard.
Should you require any replacement parts, please contact your local Mothercare
Store or contact Customer Care on 01923 210210.
The Bedguard should be periodically checked for condition, especially the operation
of the locking devices.
WARNING
Your children’s safety is your responsibility
• This bedguard is not recommended for use by children under the age of 18
months, or over the age of 5 years.
• It is recommended that this bedguard is used only for children who are able to
climb in and out of bed unaided
• The bedguard should not be used as a substitute for a cot, as it cannot provide
the same level of safety as a cot.
• When fitted to the bed with the side in the raised position, always ensure that the
side is in contact with the mattress.
• Before use, ensure that the arms of the bedguard are held firmly by the mattress.
• Once fitted to the bed, the bedguard should be checked to ensure that it is
properly fitted and secure.
• If replacement parts are required at any time, they should only be obtained from
Mothercare Ltd.
• This bedguard should not be used on a sleeping surface that is more than 600mm
from the floor.
• WARNING - To prevent the risk of strangulation, it is essential to ensure that when
the bedguard is fitted in position, there is a gap of at least 250mm (10 inches),
between both ends of the bed and the ends of the bedguard.
• Not suitable for use with elderly or infirm adults or for use in a non-domestic
environment.
• Suitable for a mattress with a width from 540mm to 920mm, a minimum length of
1400mm and a thickness 80mm to 200mm.

Folding your Bedguard Plegando su Bedguard
To fold the guard, press the two
buttons in the middle of the plastic
hinges.-
With the buttons pressed, move the
front slides upwards together and pull
the guard away from the bed.
To fold the guard back into position,
grasp the guard’s top rail at each
end and fold upwards until the slides
on the hinges click into place.
IMPORTANT- Ensure that both hinges
are secure before use.
PLEASE NOTE; If the bed has raised
side frames, it will not be possible to
operate this feature.
Para plegar el Bedguard, pulse los
dos botones que se encuentran
en el centro de las bisagras plásti-
cas. Manteniendo presionados los
botones, levante a la vez los dos
extremos hacia arriba y tire hacia
delante el Bedguard fuera de la
cama.
Para reponer el Bedguard en su
posición, agarre la barra superior en
cada extremo y levante hacia arriba
hasta que las bisagras se encajen
con un clic.
IMPORTANTE - Asegure que las dos
bisagras estén bien colocadas previo a su uso.
NOTE - Si la cama dispone de armazones laterales altos no se puede beneficiarse
de esta prestación.

Fit to the bed Ensambladura a la cama
With the mattress off the bed,
place the Bedguard on the
bed base.
IMPORTANT - Make sure the
gap between the ends of the
Bedguard and the ends of the
bed is NOT LESS THAN 250mm
at each end. Refit the mattress
to the bed, ensuring that it fits
between the front of the guard
and the retaining hooks at the
rear.
(This is to prevent the mattress
sliding out of position when in
use.)
Quite el colchón a la cama y coloque el Bedguard sobre la base de la cama.
IMPORTANTE - Asegure que el espacio entre los extremos del Bedguard y los de la
cama no sea de menos de 250mm en cada extremo. Instale de nuevo el colchón
