Shrink Wrap Tubing
Althoughmostinstallationswon’trequireit,we’veincludedshrinkwraptubingtosecureconnectionsshould
youneedtojoincablestogethertoobtainalongerlengthforyourinstallationlocation.
Tousetheshrinkwrap,havethecableendsconnectedwithinthetubing.Whentheconnectionissecure,heat
theshrinkwrapwithaheatgun(orahairdryer)toshrinkthematerialandtightenitaroundtheconnection.
Thiswillkeepthecablesfromdisconnectingorcomingloosein“hard‐to‐get‐to”placesincaseofan
unintentional“tug”thatcanloosentheconnectionandaffectperformance.

2. SelectalocationfortheAudiounit
Goodlocationsfortheaudiounitareundertheseat,inthetailsection,inaglovebox,underthe
frontplastic,orforHondaGL1800intheCDplayersectionoftheTrunk.Anothergoodlocation,
especiallyifyouhavemultiplemotorcycles,isinanRKAIN‐ChargeCommunicationsTankbag.
3. SelectalocationfortheDisplayunit
Selectlocationforthedisplayunit,whichispackagedwithaRamMount1”ball.Youwillneeda
bikespecificlowermountforthehandlebarsofyourbikeifyoudon’talreadyhaveone.
Note:ifyouuseadifferentmount,pleaseverifythatthemountingboltsdonotenterthebackof
thedisplaymorethan¼”orthedisplayPCboardmaybedamaged.Westronglyrecommendyou
onlyusethedisplaymountingboltsprovidedwiththeMC‐200system.
4.Ifyouplantouseasmartphone;
a. Selectalocationforthephone.*Sinceyoucanmakebuttonandvoicecommandstothe
phoneaftersetup,youwillnothavetomountthephoneinavisiblelocationunlessyouare

Turning Sources On / Off
1. Selectthesourcescreenandpressandreleasetheiconforthesourceyouwanttoturnon/off.Source
IconwilltoggleavisibleRedBar(Off)andaGreenBar(On)onthescreen.
2. UsetheFM/WBradioasabaselineforthestandardvolume.
Note:TheantennamustbeconnectedfortheFM/WBradiotooperate.Ifyourbikehasno
antenna,usethe‘budget’antennaincludedinyourKit.Justplugitintotheantennaconnector
andpresstillitisinasfarasitwillgo.
3. ToturnontheFM/WBradioontheSourcesscreen,pressandreleasetheRadioIcon.Theradiostatus
barwillturngreen.
4. PressandreleasetheSourceButtonwhichshouldreturnyoutothevolumescreen.
5. PressandreleasetheRadioButtontogettotheradiodisplay.(Radiobuttonislocatedinthecenterof
thearrowkeysandlookslikeabullseye)

Equalize Source Volumes
1. TurnontheFMradioandselectastrongchannelandsetvolumetoacomfortablelevel
2. Turnonallotherconnectedsources
3. SelecttheConfigurationIconthenselectInputvolumes
4. Foreachsource,movethesliderUPorDOWNuntilthevolumeissameastheRadio.Whenyoustart
tomoveaslideritwillautomaticallyselectthesourceconnectedtotheportitrepresents.Theresults
ofthissetupallowsthemainscreenvolumetoraiseorlowerthesourcesproportionally.Thissetup
calibrationalsostopsamajorvolumechangewhenswitchingfromsourcetosourceduringoperation.

Two-Way Radio set-up
1. Enablethetwowayradiofromthesourcescreen.PressingtheRXTXbuttonscrollsthroughOff,Low,
Mid,andHighsettings.BeginbysettingittoMID.
2. Turnonyour2wayradioandhavesomeoneelsetransmittoyoufromanotherradio.Adjustthe
volumeofyourconnectedtwo‐wayradiountilthevolumeiscomfortableforyou.
3. VerifyyoucantransmitbypushingtheSuppliedPush‐to‐talkbutton.AsmallREDradioiconwillshow
uponthevolumescreenindicatingyouaretransmitting.AsmallGREENradioiconwillappearwhen
youarereceiving.
4. Ifyougetfalse‘Receive’indication(Greeniconwhenthereisnotransmission)youshouldraisethe
RXTXsetting.
5. Ifyoudonotgeta‘Receive’indication(noiconwhenthereisatransmission)youshouldlowerthe
RXTXsetting.
6. Yourothersourcevolumeswillfadeduringtransmissionsbasedonyourmusicfadesetting.

isbeingusedatthesametime.Itlowerstheotherchannelssoyoucanbesthearthe
prioritizedsource.(example:Aradardetectorsetasahighprioritylowersotherchannels

IftheprioritysettingsareOFF,theywillmixtogether.Iftheyaresettothesamelevel,itis
