I. BESCHREIBUNG UND FUNKTION DES GERÄTS
Die LED-Polymerisationslampe M+W Superlite 1300 ist eine Lichtquelle für die intraorale Polymerisation von Dentalma-
terialien. Das Gerät nutzt ein LED-Modul (Leuchtdioden) als Lichtquelle. Das emittierte Licht liegt im Wellenlängenbereich von 430-490 nm
(dem relevanten Bereich für campherchinonhaltige Produkte). M+W Superlite 1300 besteht aus einem kabellosen Handstück und einer Lade-
station. M+W Superlite 1300 wird in Übereinstimmung mit der Richtlinie 93/42/EWG über Medizinprodukte hergestellt.

die es dem technischen Personal des Anwenders ermöglichen, die Teile des Geräts zu warten, die nach Angaben des Herstellers einer Repara-
tur unterliegen können.

IV. SICHERHEITSVORKEHRUNGEN
Wie bei allen technischen Geräten hängen die korrekte Funktion und sichere Bedienung des Geräts davon ab, dass der Anwender die Standard-
Sicherheitsverfahren sowie die speziellen Sicherheitsempfehlungen in dieser Bedienungsanleitung einhält.
1. Das Gerät muss strikt in Übereinstimmung mit der Bedienungsanleitung verwendet werden. Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Haftung für
Schäden, die aus der Nutzung dieses Geräts für andere Zwecke entstehen.
2. Vor der Inbetriebnahme des Geräts ist sicherzustellen, dass die auf dem Geräteetikett angegebene Betriebsspannung der Netzspannung ent-
spricht. Durch den Betrieb bei einer anderen Spannung kann das Gerät beschädigt werden. Die elektrische Sicherheit ist durch Schutzklasse II
gegen Schäden durch elektrischen Strom nach EN 60601-1 gewährleistet. Die Verwendung eines Schutzkontaktsteckers oder Erdung des Geräts
ist nicht erforderlich.
M+W Superlite 1300 ist in geschlossenen Räumen mit folgenden Bedingungen zu betreiben:
• Temperatur +10 °C – +40 °C;
• Relative Luftfeuchtigkeit - 30 – 75 %;
• Luftdruck 700 – 1060 hPa;
• Abwesenheit chemisch aktiver
oder brennbarer Stoffe.
3. Bei Bestrahlung der Augen besteht ein gewisses Risiko für einen Augenschaden. Deshalb darf die Lampe nicht direkt in die Augen gerichtet
werden! Die Belichtung ist strikt auf den Arbeitsbereich zu beschränken. Das Tragen einer Schutzbrille und/oder eines Gesichtschutzes, die/der
effektiv den blauen Spektralbereich abschirmt, wird dringend empfohlen!
ACHTUNG! Das emittierte Licht liegt im Wellenlängenbereich von 430-490 Nanometern. Bei der Arbeit ist eine
Schutzbrille und/oder ein Gesichtsschutz zu tragen!
4. Bei folgenden Personen sollte das Gerät nur Rücksprache mit dem entsprechenden Arzt verwendet werden:
• Personen mit photobiologischen Reaktionen; Personen, die derzeit lichtempfindliche Medikamente einnehmen;
• Personen mit Kataraktoperation; Personen mit Erkrankungen der Netzhaut usw.
5. Lösungsmittel, brennbare Flüssigkeiten und leistungsstarke Wärmequellen dürfen sich nicht in der Nähe des Gerätes
befinden, da die Exposition gegenüber einem dieser Faktoren die Kunststoffteile des Geräts beschädigen kann.
6. Reinigungsmittel dürfen nicht in das Gerät eindringen, da dies einen Kurzschluss des Geräts oder potenziell gefährliche Fehlfunktionen ver-
ursachen kann.
7. Nur vom Werk autorisierte Techniker sind befugt, das Gerät zu öffnen und zu reparieren.
8. Zum Austausch defekter Teile sollten nur M+W Superlite 1300 Originalersatzteile verwendet werden. Die Gerätegarantie gilt nicht für Schä-
den, die durch Verwendung von Nicht-Originalersatzteilen entstehen. Das Gerät oder eines seiner
Bestandteile darf nicht zerlegt werden, während es an das Stromnetz angeschlossen ist!
9. Vor jeder Verwendung sollten Lichtleiter, Blendschutz Schild und Lichtschutzkappe gemäß den Empfehlungen in VI. Pflege und Instandhal-
tung aufbereitet werden.
10. ZERBRECHLICH! Bei Transport, Lagerung und Handhabung des Geräts ist mit äußerster Vorsicht vorzugehen!
11. Gemäß Richtlinie 2002/96/EG zeigt dieses Symbol, dass das Produkt am Ende seiner Nutzungsdauer nicht als Hausmüll entsorgt werden
darf. Das Produkt muss in speziellen Sammelstellen für Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte abgegeben werden. Eine fachgerechte Entsorgung von
nicht länger verwendeten Geräten verhindert negative Folgen für die Umwelt und die menschliche Gesundheit!

12.Wärmeentwicklung
Wie bei allen leistungsstarken Lampen ist die hohe Lichtintensität mit einer Wärmeentwicklung verbunden. Bei längerer Bestrahlung im pulpa-
nahen Bereich oder von Weichgewebe können irreversible Schäden auftreten. Deshalb sind die vorgeschriebenen Belichtungszeiten speziell im
pulpanahen Bereich (Adhäsive 10 Sekunden) zu beachten. Ununterbrochene Belichtungszeiten von mehr als 20 Sekunden an derselben Zahn-
fläche sowie ein direkter Kontakt mit Gingiva, Mundschleimhaut oder Haut sind dringend zu vermeiden. Bei indirekten Restaurationen ist in in-
termittierenden Intervallen von je 20 Sekunden oder durch externe Kühlung mittels Luftstrom zu arbeiten.
V. VORBEREITUNG UND ABLAUF DER BEDIENUNG
M+W Superlite 1300 ist für die Verwendung als freistehendes Tischgerät vorgesehen.
1. Nehmen Sie die Polymerisationslampe M+W Superlite 1300 aus der Verpackung.
Achtung! Das Gerät sollte mindestens im Abstand von 1 Meter von Wärmequellen aufgestellt werden.
2. Vor der ersten Anwendung sollen Lichtleiter, Blendschutz Schild und Lichtschutzkappe gemäß den Empfehlungen unter VI. Pflege und In-
standhaltung aufbereitet werden.
3. Schließen Sie das Netzteil an die Netzsteckdose an.
4. Das kabellose Handstück muss vor dem ersten Gebrauch vollständig geladen werden. Dazu muss es mindestens
10 Stunden lang geladen werden. Neue Li-Ionen-Akkus erreichen ihre volle Kapazität erst nach einigen Lade-/Entlade-
zyklen. Daher reicht der Akku möglicherweise zunächst nur für eine kleinere Anzahl von Belichtungen.
5. M+W Superlite 1300 verfügt über 4 Polymerisationsmodi, die eine vollständige und schnelle Aushärtung des Füllungsmaterials garantieren.
Wählen Sie den Polymerisationsmodus durch Drücken der Taste MODE auf dem digitalen Bedienfeld des Handstücks. Drücken Sie die Taste wie-
derholt, bis der gewünschte Polymerisationsmodus ausgewählt ist:
A – RAMP (Rampe) L – LONG (lang) F – FAST (schnell) P – PULSE (Impuls)
Modus RAMP (10 - 20 - 30 sec) - Während der ersten 3 Sekunden erhöht sich die Lichtintensität langsam von 0 % auf 100 % (Softstart), um
eine Belastung des Füllungsmaterials zu vermeiden.
Modus LONG (9 min) - Geeignet für langes Arbeiten und Bleichen. Nach jeweils 1 Minute ertönt ein akustische Signal. Die Polymerisations-
lampe arbeitet 9 min lang durchgehend bzw. bis zum erneuten Drücken der Taste Start/Stop. In diesem Polymerisationsmodus erreicht die
Lichtintensität die höchste Stufe.
Modus FAST (10 sec) - Das emittierte Licht hat die höchste Intensität von 100 %, um die volle Aushärtung des lichthärtenden Komposits zu
erreichen.
Modus PULSE (10 - 20 - 30 sec) - Es gibt eine Abfolge von Lichtimpulsen und Pausen, um ein Schrumpfen des Füllungsmaterials zu vermeiden
ohne Ausdehnung der Belichtungszeit.
Wählen Sie die Belichtungszeit durch wiederholtes Drücken der Taste „TIMER“. Die waagerechte Linie zeigt die ausgewählte Zeit - 10, 20 oder
30 sec.
6. Das Gerät wird durch Drücken der Taste Start/Stop am Handstück aktiviert. Nach Aktivieren des Geräts wird der Countdown-Timer auf der Di-
gitalanzeige angezeigt. Alle 10 Sekunden ertönt ein akustischer Signalton.
7. Richten Sie das vom Handstück emittierte Licht in kurzem Abstand (4-7 mm) auf die auszuhärtende Stelle und stellen Sie sicher, dass der
Lichtleiter in den ersten paar Sekunden nicht das lichthärtende Komposit berührt. Anschließend, wenn die Oberflächenschicht genug gehärtet
ist, darf der Lichtleiter das lichthärtende Komposit berühren.
8. Nach einem zweiten Drücken der Taste Start/Stop oder nach Verstreichen der vorgewählten Zeit (10, 20 oder 30 sec) stoppt das Gerät. Ist ein
zusätzlicher Härtungszyklus notwendig, kann das Gerät nochmals aktiviert werden. Stellen Sie das Handstück am Ende der Behandlung wie-
der in die Ladestation.
9. Am Ende des Arbeitstages sollte die Polymerisationslampe durch Abziehen des Netzteils aus der Steckdose ausgeschaltet werden.
10. FUNKTION „PIEPSER ON/OFF“. Diese Funktion ermöglicht das Ein- und Ausschalten des Piepsers. Halten Sie den Knopf MODE für etwa 5 bis 6
Sekunden gedrückt. Die Piepser-Anzeige erscheint und der Piepser wird automatisch in den gegenteiligen Zustand versetzt: Wenn der Piepser
auf ON steht, wird nach dem Halten des Knopfes MODE OFF angezeigt, und der Piepser wird deaktiviert. Wenn der Piepser auf OFF steht, wird
nach dem Halten des Knopfes MODE ON angezeigt, und der Piepser wird aktiviert.

„SCHLAF“-FUNKTION
Das kabellose Handstück ist mit einer „Schlaf“-Funktion ausgestattet, die den Energieverbrauch des Geräts minimiert.
Das Handstück schaltet in den „Schlaf“-Modus:
• Wenn es in die Ladestation gestellt und vollständig geladen wird;
• Wenn es sich ca. 30 Sekunden lang unbenutzt außerhalb der Ladestation befindet;
Der „Schlaf“-Modus kann nur durch Drücken der Taste Start/Stop beendet werden.
Die Anzeige des Handstücks zeigt die zuletzt gewählte Belichtungszeit.
WARTUNG, LADEN UND AUSTAUSCH DES AKKUS
Das kabellose Handstück ist mit einer elektronischen Ladekontrolle ausgestattet, die für eine optimale Akku-Ladung sorgt und Überladung
vermeidet.
• Stellen Sie das Handstück nicht in die Ladestation, ohne dass sich der Akku im Handstück befindet!
• Vor der ersten Verwendung von M+W Superlite 1300 muss das kabellose Handstück mindestens 10 Stunden aufgeladen werden.
• Im normalen Betrieb ist das kabellose Handstück für ca. 120 min komplett geladen.
• Stellen Sie das Handstück im Laufe des Tages, wenn es nicht gebraucht wird, in die Ladestation.
• Wenn die Akkuladung während der Arbeit zur Neige geht, blinkt der Countdown-Timer und danach erscheint auf der
Anzeige „Lb“ (Low Battery). In diesem Fall stellen Sie das Handstück zum Aufladen in die Ladestation.
• Die LED-Anzeige CHARGE leuchtet, wenn sich das Handstück in der Ladestation befindet. Während des Ladens blinken nacheinander 3 Linien
im Handstück-Display. Wenn der Ladevorgang abgeschlossen ist, ertönt ein langer Signalton und 30 Sekunden lang blinken 3 Linien auf dem
Handstück. Danach geht das Handstück in den „Schlaf“-Modus.
• Verwenden Sie nur M+W Superlite 1300 Original-Li-Ionen-Akkus (Höhe 65 mm, Durchmesser 18 mm), 3,7 V, 2400 mAh.
• Nach ca. 500 Ladezyklen hat ein Li-Ionen-Akku ca. 20 % seiner Kapazität verloren.
• Zum Austausch des Li-Ionen-Akkus: Schrauben Sie den unteren Deckel des Handstücks ab und entfernen Sie vorsichtig die Kontaktplatine; ent-
fernen Sie die Kupplung und ziehen Sie den Akku heraus, indem Sie die Kunststoffteile des Handstücks leicht öffnen. Bauen Sie den neuen Akku
in umgekehrter Reihenfolge ein.
• Soll das Handstück für längere Zeit nicht verwendet werden, laden Sie vor der Einlagerung den Akku vollständig und
entnehmen Sie ihn aus dem Handstück.
• Anzahl der Aushärtezyklen mit voll geladenem Akku: 4000 Sekunden.
• Die Ladekontakte des kabellosen Handstücks und der Ladestation dürfen nicht mit metallischen oder fettigen Gegenständen in Berührung
kommen.
• Verwenden Sie zum Aufladen des M+W Superlite 1300 Handstücks keine anderen Ladegeräte als die im Set enthaltene Original-Ladestation.
Der Akku darf nicht in Wasser getaucht oder ins offene Feuer geworfen werden.
• Bei der Entsorgung verbrauchter Akkus sind die Umweltschutzvorschriften zu beachten!
ÜBERHITZUNGSSCHUTZ
M+W Superlite 1300 ist mit einem System zum Überhitzungsschutz ausgestattet. Erreicht die Temperatur der LED-Lichtquelle 50 °C, blinkt der
Countdown-Timer und danach zeigt die Anzeige „Oh“ (Overheating). Nach Abschluss des Belichtungszyklus schaltet sich die Polymerisations-
lampe ab. Stellen Sie das Handstück dann in die Ladestation und sobald es bis auf 40 °C abkühlt ist, kann die Arbeit fortgesetzt werden.
VI. REGELMÄSSIGE PFLEGE
UND WARTUNG
1. Untersuchung des Lichtleiters
Die Lichtleiterspitze sollte täglich auf Folgendes untersucht werden:
• Anhaftendes Füllungsmaterial (es sollte sehr vorsichtig mit einem stumpfen nichtmetallischen Gegenstand entfernt werden);
• Mechanische Schäden am Lichtleiter.
Mit den oben genannten Maßnahmen soll eine Abnahme der Lichtintensität verhindert werden. Verbessert keine der oben genannten Maß-
nahmen die Lichtintensität, sollte das Gerät vom Service des Herstellers geprüft werden.

2. Das Handstück mit einem weichen Tuch und Desinfektionslösung desinfizieren. Bitte nicht sprühen, sondern nur wischen. Es darf keine Flüs-
sigkeit in das Innere des Handstücks gelangen. Keine scheuernden Reinigungsmittel verwenden. Wir empfehlen M+W Sprühdesinfektion alko-
holfrei. Tuch damit benetzen, und Handstück sorgfältig abwischen.
Lichtleiter von eventuell vorhandenen Composite Resten befreien.
Manuelle und maschinelle Aufbereitung von Lichtleiter, Blendschutz Schild und Lichtschutzkappe:
- keine scheuernden Reinigungsmittel oder Drahtbürsten verwenden.
Manuelle Reinigung
Zubehör: Bürsten mit weichen Borsten, fusselfreie Tücher, alkalische Reinigungsmittel, z. B. M+W Instrumentenbad AF,
destilliertes Wasser
Schritt Dauer Beschreibung
1 1 min. Benutzte Teile unter kaltem Wasser abspülen und grobe, sichtbare
Verschmutzungen sofort entfernen.
2 Vorgereinigte Teile nun in ein alkalisches Reinigungsmittel einlegen. Achten Sie
bitte auf vollständige Benetzung. Anwendungskonzentration und Einwirkzeit des
Desinfektionsmittels beachten.
3 1 min. Anschließend mit klarem Wasser abspülen, Sollten noch sichtbare
Verschmutzungen vorliegen, bitte Schritt 1-3 solange wiederholen bis alle
sichtbaren Verschmutzungen entfernt wurden.
4 1 min. Anschließend Teile mit destilliertem Wasser abspülen und trocknen.
5 Abschließende Sichtkontrolle auf Verunreinigungen. Falls gegeben,
Punkt 1-6 wiederholen.
Maschinelle Aufbereitung mittels RDG (nur Lichtleiter und Lichtschutzkappe)
Vorbereitung: Vorreinigung siehe Punkt 1 bei manueller Reinigung. Sichtkontrolle. Sollten noch sichtbare Verschmutzungen vorhanden sein,
erneut manuell vorreinigen bis Verschmutzungen entfernt wurden.
Anschließend in den Thermodesinfektor legen. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Lichtleiter während der Aufbereitung nicht mit
anderen Gegenständen zusammenstoßen können (Bruchgefahr!)
Starten Sie das Reinigungsprogramm Ihres Thermodesinfektors:

Desinfektion 5 Min. 90° C
Spülen 2 Min.
Trocknung 40 Min. 90° C
Nach Beendigung der Reinigung Teile sorgfältig auf Schäden, Kratzer usw. überprüfen. Beschädigte Teile aussortieren.
Sterilisation Lichtleiter und Lichtschutzkappe:
Teile in geeignete Verpackungsmaterialien verpacken (gem. DIN 58 953/7 oder EN 868)
Anschließend im Autoklaven bei 134°C sterilisieren.
VII. GARANTIEBEDINGUNGEN
1. Der Garantiezeitraum der M+W Superlite 1300 Polymerisationslampe beträgt 24 Monate ab dem Kaufdatum. Wurde das Kaufdatum nicht
schriftlich festgehalten, beginnt die Garantie mit dem Herstellungsdatum.

2. Während des Garantiezeitraums erfolgt der Ersatz defekter Teile (außer Lichtleiter, LED-Modul und Akku mit 6 Monaten Garantie) kostenlos
durch den Hersteller-Service.
3. Wird das Gerät während des Garantiezeitraums durch nicht korrekten Betrieb beschädigt (mechanische, chemische, thermische oder elek-
trische Schäden; Schäden durch unsachgemäße Handhabung, Lagerung oder sonstige Fehler des Anwenders) sind die Reparaturkosten vom
Anwender zu tragen. Werden Schäden an elektrischen Kabeln festgestellt, muss das Gerät sofort zum Hersteller-Service gebracht werden. Liegt
eine Beschädigung der Kabel vor, darf das Gerät nicht verwendet werden.
Wenn Flüssigkeiten, wie Wasser und Lösungsmittel, aggressive oder brennbare Stoffe und deren Dämpfe (auch durch
Verschütten oder Abwischen des Geräts damit), Insekten oder Nagertiere in das Gerät gelangt sind, muss es sofort zum Hersteller-Service ge-
bracht werden. In solchen Fällen erlischt die Garantie.
Schäden und Schadenersatzansprüche, die aufgrund von elektrischen Schlägen oder Gewittern, durch Nichteinhaltung von Maßnahmen zur
elektrischen Sicherheit oder durch unzureichendem Schutz von Patienten, Mitarbeitern oder dritten Personen vor Lichteinstrahlung entstanden
sind, werden nicht übernommen.
Ungeachtet der Ursache übernimmt der Hersteller bei Mängeln oder Fehlfunktionen des Gerätes keine Haftung für Verdienstausfall.
Es werden keine Schadenersatzansprüche und Schäden übernommen, die aufgrund unzureichender Sicherung und mangelnden Schutzes wäh-
rend Transport, Auspacken, Bewegung, Verwendung und Pflege des Gerätes entstehen. In solchen Fällen erlischt die Garantie.
Kommt es zum Rechtsstreit über die Anwendung und Auslegung dieser Bedienungsanleitung, wird dieser nach den geltenden Gesetzen in der
Bundesrepublik Deutschland gelöst, und Gerichtsstand ist das Gericht von Friedberg.
4. Diese Garantie erlischt, wenn eine Reparatur oder Wartung des Produkts durch Unbefugte vorgenommen wird oder wenn andere Ersatzteile
als die M+W Superlite 1300 Original-Ersatzteile verwendet werden.

LED curing light M+W Superlite 1300 is a light source for intraoral polymerization of dental materials. The unit uses LED (Light Emitting Diode)
module as the light source. The emitted light is in the wavelength range 430-490 nm (the relevant range for camphor quinone containing pro-
ducts). M+W Superlite 1300 consists of Cordless handpiece and Charging
station. M+W Superlite 1300 is produced in conformity with MDD 93/42/EEC.

IV. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
As with all technical devices, the proper function and safe operation of this unit depend on the user‘s compliance with the standard safety pro-
cedures as well as the specific safety recommendations described in this Operations guide.
1. The unit must be used in strict accordance with the Operations guide. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any
damage resulting from the use of this unit for any other purposes.
2. Before start-up of the unit make sure that the operating voltage indicated on the unit label corresponds to the mains voltage. Operation of
the unit at a different voltage may damage the unit. Electrical safety is ensured by Protection class II against electrical current damages accor-
ding to EN 60601-1. Use of “Shuko” plug or unit‘s grounding is not necessary.
M+W Superlite 1300 should be operated in indoor premises, in the following conditions:
• temperature +10° - +40°;
• relative air humidity -30 - 75%;
• atm. pressure 700 - 1060 hPa;
• absence of chemically active or flammable substances.
3. Irradiation of the eyes bears certain risk for their damage. Therefore the light must not be directed toward the eyes! Exposure must be re-
stricted to the working area. Use of protection glasses and/or protection shield that blocks effectively the blue spectral range is highly recom-
mended!
ATTENTION! The emitted light is in the wavelength range 430-490 nanometers. During work use protection goggles and/or protection
shield!
4. The unit can be used only doctor‘s advice by persons with photobiological reactions; persons currently taking photosensitive medication; per-
sons with cataract surgery; persons with retinal diseases, etc.
5. Solvents, flammable liquids and powerful heat sources must not be kept near the unit as exposure to one of these

factors may damage the plastic parts of the unit.
6. Cleaning agents should not enter the unit as this may short-circuit the unit or cause potentially dangerous malfunction.
7. Only factory-authorized technicians are authorized to open and repair the unit.
8. Only original M+W Superlite 1300 spare parts should be used to replace defective parts. The unit warranty does not cover any damage resul-
ting from the use on non-original replacement parts. The unit or any of its parts should not be dis-assembled while it is connected to the mains!
9. Prior to every application, the light conductor, the glare protection shield and the light protection cap should be prepared according to the
recommendations in VI. Care and maintenance.
10. FRAGILE! Be extremely careful during transportation, storage and handling of the unit!
11. Pursuant to Directive 2002/96/EC, this symbol shows that the product must not be disposed of as urban waste at the end of its operating
life. The product must be taken to centers specialized in separate collection of electric and electronic equipment. Correct disposal of the equip-
ment, which is no longer used, prevents negative consequences for the environment and human health!
V. PREPARATION AND SEQUENCE OF OPERATION
M+W Superlite 1300 is designed for use as a free - standing table unit.
1. Take the curing light M+W Superlite 1300 out from the packing.
Attention! The unit should be placed at least 1 meter away from any heat source.
2. Prior to being used for the first time, the light conductor, the glare protection shield and the light protection cap should be prepared accor-
ding to the recommendations in VI. Care and maintenance.
3. Connect the power adapter to the mains outlet.
4. The cordless handpiece must be fully charged before staring work for the first time. For this purpose, charge it for at least 10 hours. New Li-
Ion batteries attain full capacity only several charging / discharging cycles. Therefore, the battery charge may initially be sufficient for a smaller
number of exposures only.
5. M+W Superlite 1300 is equipped with 4 curing modes that guarantee full and fast hardening of the restorative material. Select the curing
mode by pressing the button MODE on the digital panel of the handpiece. Press repeatedly until the
desired curing mode is selected:
A – RAMP L – LONG F – FAST P – PULSE
RAMP mode (10 - 20 - 30 sec.) - During the first 3 sec. light intensity slowly increases from 0% to 100% of the light intensity (soft start) to
avoid stress in the restorative material.
LONG mode (9 min.) suitable for long work and bleaching. There is audible signal every 1 min. The curing light works continuously for 9 min.
or until the Start/Stop button is pressed again. In this curing mode light intensity is at maximum level.
FAST mode (10 sec.) - Emitted light has highest intensity - 100% of the light intensity to achieve full hardening of the photocomposite.
PULSE mode (10 - 20 - 30 sec.) - There are consecutive light emitting and pause that help to avoid shrinking in restorative material without
extending exposure time.
Select exposure time by pressing “TIMER” button repeatedly. The horizontal line shows selected time - 10, 20 or 30 sec.
6. The unit is activated by pressing the Start/Stop button of the handpiece. After the unit is activated, countdown timer is
seen on the digital display. An audible beeper on every 10 sec is heard.
7. Direct the emitting light of handpiece to the curing spot at the closest distance (4-7 mm) and make sure the lightguide does not touch the
photocomposite during the first several seconds and after that, when surface layer is hardened enough, the lightguide can touch the photo-
composite.
8. After second pressing of the Start/Stop button or after elapsing the pre-selected time (10, 20 or 30 sec ) the unit stops.
If an additional curing cycle is necessary, the unit may be activated repeatedly. In the end return the handpiece to the
charging station.
9. Switching off of curing light in the end of the day shall be done by unplugging of adapter from the wall socket.
10. “BEEPER ON/OFF” FUNCTION“. This function allows to switch on and off the beeper. Hold MODE button for 5-6 sec., beeper indication ap-
pears and beeper is changed automatically to opposite: If beeper is ON - after holding MODE button, OFF will be displayed and beeper will be
switched off. If beeper is OFF - after holding MODE button, ON will be displayed and beeper will be switched on.

12. Heat generation
As with all high performance lamps, the high light intensity involves heat generation. Irreversible damage can occur in the region near the pulp
or soft tissues during prolonged exposure. Therefore, the prescribed exposure times in the region near the pulp (adhesive 10 seconds) are to be
observed. Uninterrupted exposure times of more than 20 seconds on the same tooth surface as well as direct contact with the gingiva, oral mu-
cosa or skin are to be avoided under all circumstances. In the case of indirect restorations, work should be performed with intermittent intervals
of 20 seconds or via external cooling with air flow.
“SLEEP” FUNCTION
The cordless handpiece is eqipped with a “sleep” function to minimize the unit‘s energy consumption. The handpiece
switches to “sleep” mode:
• when it is placed into the charging station and becomes fully charged;
• when it is left unused for approximately 30 sec. outside the charger;
The “sleep” mode can be terminated only by pressing the Start/Stop button. The handpiece display shows the latest
selected exposure time.
BATTERY MAINTENANCE, CHARGING AND REPLACEMENT
The cordless handpiece is equipped with electronic charging control that ensures optimal battery charge and helps avoid overcharging.
• Never place the handpiece in the charging station without the battery inserted in the handpiece!
• When working with M+W Superlite 1300 for the first time, the cordless handpiece must be charged at least 10 hours.
• In regular work, the cordless handpiece is fully charged for approximately 120 min.
• During the day, between work, put the handpiece in the charger.
• If, during work, the battery becomes out of charge, the countdown timer blinks and after that the display shows “Lb” (Low Battery). In this
case place the handpiece in the charging station for charging.
• LED indicator CHARGE is illuminated when handpiece is put on the charging station. While charging, there are 3 lines blinking consecutively on
the hadpiece display. When charging is complete, a long beep is heard and for 30 sec. there are 3 blinking lines on handpece display. After that
the handpiece enters “sleep mode”.
• Use only original M+W Superlite 1300 Li-Ion batteries (height 65 mm, diameter 18 mm), 3.7 V, 2400 mAh.
• Li-Ion battery loses approx. 20% of its capacity after 500 charging cycles.
• To replace the Li-Ion battery: Unscrew the bottom lid of the handpiece and carefully remove the contact electronic board, remove the coupling
and pull the battery out, slightly opening the plastic parts of the handpiece. Install new battery in
reverse order.
• If the handpiece is not to be used for an extended period of time, fully charge the battery before storage and remove
battery from handpiece.
• Number of curing cycles with fully charged battery: 4000 sec.
• The charging contacts of the cordless handpiece and charging station must not be contacted by metallic or greasy objects.
• Do not use any other chargers to charge M+W Superlite 1300 handpiece different from the original charging station in the set. The battery
must not be immersed in water or thrown in fire.
• When discarding old battery, observe environment protection rules!
OVERHEATING PROTECTION
M+W Superlite 1300 is equipped with system for overheating control. If the temperature of the LED source reaches 50°C, the countdown timer
blinks and after that the display shows “Oh” (Overheating). After the exposure cycle is completed, the curing light goes off. In this case place the
handpiece in the charging station and as soon as it cools down to 40°C, the work can be continued.
VI. ROUTINE CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Examining of lightguide
Every day the lightguide tip should be examined for:
• stuck restorative material (it should be removed very carefully with blunt non-metal object);
• mechanical damages on the lightguide.
The above actions should be done to prevent decrease of light intensity. If none of the above improves light intensity, the unit should be chek-
ked in the manufacturer‘s service.

2. Disinfect the handpiece with a soft cloth and disinfectant solution. Please do not spray, only wipe. Liquids should not penetrate into the in-
terior of the handpiece. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. We recommend M+W alcohol-free disinfection spray. Moisten the cloth and ca-
refully wipe the handpiece.
Remove and remaining composite residue from the light conductor.
Manual and machine preparation of light conductor, glare protection shield and light protection cap:
- do not use abrasive cleaning agents.or wire brushes.
Manual cleaning
Accessories: brushes with soft bristles, lint-free cloths, alkaline cleaning agents, i.e. M+W Instrument bath AF, distilled water
Step Duration Description
1 1 min. Rinse used parts under cold water and remove coarse, visible contamination
immediately.
2 Now place pre-cleaned parts in alkaline cleaning agent. Please ensure complete
wetting. Observe application concentration and exposure time of the disinfectant
agent.
3 1 min. Then rinse with clean water.Should visible contamination persist,
please repeat Steps 1-3 until all visible contamination has been removed.
4 1 min. Then rinse parts with distilled water and dry.
5 Final visual inspection for contamination. If necessary, repeat Steps 1-6.
Machine preparation using a CDD (only light conductor and light protection cap)
Preparation: for pre-cleaning see Step 1 for manual cleaning. Visual inspection. Should visible contamination persist, pre-clean again manually
until the contamination is removed.
Then place in the thermal disinfector. Ensure that the light conductors cannot come into contact with other objects during preparation (risk of
breakage!)
Start the cleaning programme of the thermal disinfector:

Then sterilise in autoclave at 134°C
VII. WARRANTY CONDITIONS
1. Warranty period of the M+W Superlite 1300 curing light is 24 months from the date of purchase. If date of purchase is not written, warranty
starts at date of production.
2. During the warranty period the replacement of the defective parts (except for lightguide; LED module and battery -
6 months warranty) is done free of charge by manufacturer‘s service.
3. If during the guarantee period the unit is damaged, due to incorrect operation (mechanical, chemical, thermal or electrical damages), da-

mage caused by improper use, storage or any other reasons in user‘s fault, the repair is paid by the user. If any damage is noticed on electric
cables, the device must be brought immediately to manufacturer‘s service. The device must not be used if cables are damaged.
If liquids, such as water and solvents, aggressive or flammable substances and their vapors, also pouring or wiping the device with the same, in-
sects or rodents have entered the device, it must be brought immediately to manufacturer‘s service. In such cases warranty is lost.
Damages and claims are not accepted due to electric shocks, thunder storms, non-following of measures for electric
safety or insufficient protection of patients, personnel or outer persons towards light irradiation.
The manufacturer does not owe compensation for lost benefits in cases of defects or imperfect functioning of the device regardless of the cause.
No claims and damages are accepted due to incorrect security and attention for protection during transportation, unpacking, moving, work and pre-
servation of device. Warranty becomes null and void if any of the above mentioned happens.
If a dispute arises on the application and interpretation of these instructions of use, the applicable laws in Germany shall apply. Place of
jurisdiction is the court of Friedberg.
4. This warranty expires if repairs or servicing of the device are performed by an unauthorized party or if other than original parts of the M+W
Superlite Power Pen are used.

La lampe de polymérisation LED M+W Superlite 1300 est une source lumineuse pour la polymérisation intrabuccale des matériaux dentaires.
La lampe utilise comme source lumineuse le module LED (diode électroluminescente). La lumière émise est comprise dans une plage de lon-
gueurs d’ondes variant de 430 à 490 nm (soit la plage adaptée pour les produits contenant de la camphorquinone). L’appareil M+W Superlite
1300 se compose d’une pièce à main sans fil et d’une station de chargement. La lampe M+W Superlite 1300 est fabriquée conformément aux
normes MDD 93/42/EEC.

Comme pour tout appareil technique, les procédures de sécurité standard ainsi que les recommandations spécifiques pour la sécurité décrites
dans le présent guide doivent être respectées par l’utilisateur afin d’assurer un fonctionnement correct et une utilisation sécurisée de l’appareil.
1. Cet appareil doit être utilisé en stricte conformité avec le guide de l’utilisateur. Le fabricant décline toute responsabilité pour l’ensemble des
dommages résultant d’un usage inapproprié de l’appareil.
2. Avant d’allumer l’appareil, s’assurer que la tension d’alimentation indiquée sur l’étiquette correspond à la tension du secteur. L’utilisation
de l’appareil avec une tension différente pourrait l’endommager. La sécurité électrique est assurée par la protection de classe II contre les chocs
électriques conformément à la norme EN 60601-1. L’utilisation d’une prise « Schuko » ou d’un adaptateur pour la mise à la terre n’est pas néces-
saire.
La lampe M+W Superlite 1300 doit être utilisée en intérieur et dans les conditions suivantes :
• Température +10° - + 40°C ;
• Hygrométrie -30 - 75% ;
• Pression atm. 700 - 1060 hPa ;
• Absence de substance chimiquement active ou inflammable.
3. L’irradiation des yeux entraîne un certain risque de lésion. La lumière ne doit donc pas être dirigée directement vers les yeux ! L’exposition
doit se limiter à la zone de travail. Il est fortement recommandé d’utiliser des lunettes et/ou un écran de protection qui bloquent efficacement
le domaine spectral bleu !
ATTENTION ! La lumière émise est comprise dans une plage de longueurs d’ondes de 430 à 490 nanomètres. Utiliser des lunettes et/ou un
écran de protection au cours de l’utilisation !
4. Pour les patients ou les utilisateurs qui, présentent des réactions photobiologiques, prennent des médicaments photosensibles ou ont subi
une opération chirurgicale de la cataracte, il est indispensable d’obtenir l’aval du médecin avant d’utiliser l’appareil.
5. Il faut garder l’appareil à l’écart des solvants, liquides inflammables et sources de chaleur puissantes car l’exposition à l’un de ces facteurs
pourrait endommager les composants plastiques de l’appareil.
6. Il faut empêcher la pénétration des agents désinfectants dans l’appareil car elle pourrait entraîner un court-circuit ou bien un dysfonctionne-
ment potentiellement dangereux.
7. Seuls les techniciens approuvés par l’usine sont autorisés à ouvrir et à réparer l’appareil.
8. Le remplacement des pièces défectueuses doit se faire uniquement avec des pièces de rechanges M+W Superlite 1300 d’origine. La garantie

de l’appareil exclut tout dommage résultant de l’utilisation de pièces de rechanges qui ne seraient pas d’origine. L’appareil ne doit pas être dé-
sassemblé en partie ou intégralement tant qu’il est connecté à la prise secteur !
9. Avant chaque utilisation, le guide de lumière, l‘écran anti-éblouissement et le capuchon de protection doivent être préparés conformément
aux recommandations du chapitre VI. Entretien et maintenance.
10. FRAGILE ! Transporter, stocker et manipuler l’appareil avec une extrême prudence !
11. En application de la directive 2002/96/EC, ce symbole indique que le produit usagé ne doit pas être éliminé comme un déchet urbain. Le
produit doit être apporté à un centre spécialisé dans la collecte séparée des équipements électriques et électroniques. Une élimination con-
forme de l’équipement usagé permet d’éviter des conséquences préjudiciables pour l’environnement et la santé de l’homme !
12. Émission de chaleur
Comme sur toutes les lampes puissantes, l‘intensité lumineuse élevée s‘accompagne d‘une émission de chaleur. Une exposition prolongée de
la région proche de la pulpe ou des tissus mous peut entraîner des lésions irréversibles. Il est pour cette raison essentiel de respecter les durées
d‘exposition en particulier dans la région proche de la pulpe (adhésifs 10 secondes). Il est impératif d‘éviter l‘exposition ininterrompue pendant
plus de 20 secondes d‘une même surface dentaire ainsi que le contact direct avec la gencive, la muqueuse buccale ou la peau. Pour les restaura-
tions indirectes, travailler par intervalles intermittents de 20 secondes ou prévoir un flux d‘air de refroidissement externe.
V. PREPARATION ET UTILISATION
La lampe M+W Superlite 1300 est conçue comme un appareil autonome.
1. Sortir la lampe de polymérisation M+W Superlite 1300 de son emballage. ATTENTION ! L’appareil doit se situer à 1 mètre de distance au
moins de toute source de chaleur.
2. Avant la première utilisation, le guide de lumière, l‘écran anti-éblouissement et le capuchon de protection doivent être préparés conformé-
ment aux recommandations du chapitre VI. Entretien et maintenance.
3. Connecter l’adaptateur d’alimentation au secteur.
4. La pièce à main sans fil doit être chargée au maximum avant d’être utilisée pour la première fois. Le premier chargement doit donc durer 10
heures au minimum. Les nouvelles batteries Li-ion n’atteignent leur pleine capacité qu’après plusieurs cycles de charge et de décharge. Il est
donc possible qu’une charge de la batterie ne permette initialement qu’un nombre limité de cycles de polymérisations.
5. La lampe M+W Superlite 1300 dispose de 4 modes de polymérisation qui garantissent un durcissement intégral et rapide du matériau de
restauration. Sélectionner le mode de polymérisation en appuyant sur le bouton MODE situé sur l’écran numérique de la pièce à main. Appuyer
plusieurs fois sur le bouton jusqu’à ce que le mode de polymérisation souhaité soit sélectionné :
A – RAMP L – LONG F – FAST P – PULSE
Mode RAMP (10 -20 - 30 sec) : l’intensité lumineuse augmente progressivement de 0 à 100% en 3 secondes (faible intensité initiale) afin
d’éviter les tensions au sein du matériau de restauration.
Mode LONG (9 min) adapté au travail de longue durée et au blanchiment des dents. Un signal sonore est émis toutes les minutes. La lampe de
polymérisation fonctionne en continu pendant 9 min. ou jusqu’à ce que l’utilisateur appuie de nouveau sur le bouton Start/Stop. Dans ce mode
de polymérisation, l’intensité lumineuse est maximale.
Mode FAST (10 sec) : lumière émise maximale - la lampe émet 100% d’intensité lumineuse pour un durcissement intégral et rapide du pho-
tocomposite.
Mode PULSE (10 – 20 – 30 sec) : l’émission de lumière est entrecoupée de temps de pause afin d’éviter la rétraction du matériau de restaura-
tion sans augmenter le temps d’exposition.
Sélectionner le temps d’exposition en appuyant plusieurs fois sur le bouton TIMER. La ligne horizontale indique le temps sélectionné – 10, 20
ou 30 sec.
6. Appuyer sur le bouton Start/Stop de la pièce à main pour allumer la lampe. Une fois la lampe allumée, un compte à rebours s’affiche sur
l’écran numérique. Un signal sonore est émis toutes les 10 sec.
7. Diriger le faisceau lumineux de la pièce à main sur la zone à polymériser à la plus proche distance possible (4 7 mm) en veillant à ce que
l’embout lumineux ne touche pas le composite au cours des premières secondes. Une fois la surface de la couche suffisamment durcie, l’embout
lumineux peut toucher le composite.

8. Pour éteindre la lampe, rappuyer sur le bouton Start/Stop ou attendre la fin du temps pré-sélectionné (10, 20 ou 30 sec). La lampe peut être
activée plusieurs fois à la suite si un cycle de polymérisation supplémentaire est nécessaire. Après utilisation, reposer la pièce à main sur la sta-
tion de chargement.
9. La lampe de polymérisation peut être éteinte à la fin de la journée en débranchant l’adaptateur de la prise murale.
10. FONCTION « SONNERIE MARCHE/ARRÊT ». Cette fonction permet d‘activer et de désactiver la sonnerie. Maintenir le bouton MODE enfoncé
pendant 5 à 6 secondes, l‘indication de la sonnerie apparaît et celle-ci est automatiquement modifiée à l‘inverse : Si la sonnerie est sur MAR-
CHE - après l‘actionnement du bouton MODE, la mention ARRÊT s‘affiche et la sonnerie est désactivée. Si la sonnerie est sur ARRÊT - après
l‘actionnement du bouton MODE, la mention MARCHE s‘affiche et la sonnerie est activée.
MODE VEILLE
La pièce à main sans fil dispose d’un mode veille qui réduit la consommation d’énergie de la lampe. La lampe passe automatiquement en mode
veille :
• lorsqu’elle est placée sur la station de chargement et que le chargement est achevé ;
• lorsque la lampe n’est pas dans le chargeur et qu’elle n’est pas utilisée pendant plus de 30 sec. environ.
Il suffit d’appuyer sur le bouton Start/stop pour quitter le mode veille.
L’écran de la pièce à main affiche le dernier temps de polymérisation sélectionné.
MAINTENANCE DE LA BATTERIE, CHARGEMENT ET REMPLACEMENT
La pièce à main sans fil est équipée d’un contrôle de chargement électronique qui garantit une charge optimale de la batterie et permet d’éviter
la surcharge.
• Ne jamais placer la pièce à main sans batterie dans la station de chargement !
• La pièce à main sans fil doit être chargée pendant au moins 10 heures avant la première utilisation de la lampe
M+W Superlite 1300.
• En conditions normales, une charge complète de la pièce à main sans fil assure une autonomie d’environ 120 min.
• Placer la pièce à main dans le chargeur entre plusieurs utilisations.
• Si la batterie se décharge complètement en cours d’utilisation, le minuteur clignote et affiche le message «Lb» (Low Battery pour «batterie fai-
ble»). - Dans ce cas, placer la pièce à main dans le chargeur.
• L’indicateur de charge LED s’illumine quand la pièce à main est placée sur la station de chargement. Au cours du chargement, 3 lignes cligno-
tent consécutivement sur l’affichage de la pièce à main. Lorsque le chargement est achevé, l’appareil émet un bip long et 3 lignes clignotent
pendant 30 sec sur l’affichage de la pièce à main. La pièce à main passe ensuite en mode veille.
• Utiliser uniquement des batteries Li-ion M+W Superlite 1300 d’origine (hauteur 65 mm, diamètre 18 mm), 3,7 V, 2400 mAh.
• Une batterie Li-ion perd environ 20% de sa capacité après 500 cycles de chargement.
• Remplacement d’une batterie Li-ion : Dévisser le fond de la pièce à main et enlever délicatement le circuit imprimé de contact, retirer
l’accouplement puis la batterie en ouvrant légèrement les composants plastiques de la pièce à main. Effectuer la procédure inverse pour instal-
ler la nouvelle batterie.
• Si la pièce à main doit rester inutilisée pendant une longue période, charger complètement la batterie, puis la retirer de la pièce à main avant
de ranger la lampe.
• Nombre de cycles de polymérisations avec une batterie pleine : 4000 sec.
• Les contacts de charge de la pièce à main sans fil et la station de chargement ne doivent pas entrer en contact avec des objets métalliques ou
graisseux.
• Ne pas utiliser des chargeurs différents de ceux de la station de charge d’origine pour charger la pièce à main
M+W Superlite 1300. La batterie ne doit pas être immergée dans de l’eau ni jetée au feu.
• Respecter les règles de protection de l’environnement pour éliminer une batterie usagée !
PROTECTION CONTRE LA SURCHAUFFE
La lampe M+W Superlite 1300 est équipée d’un système de contrôle de la surchauffe. Si la température de la source LED atteint 50°C, le mi-
nuteur clignote et le message « Oh » (Overheating pour « surchauffe ») s’affiche. Une fois le cycle de polymérisation achevé, la lampe s’éteint.
Dans ce cas, placer la pièce à main dans la station de chargement. L’utilisation peut-être reprise dès que la température de la pièce à main
baisse à 40°C.

VI. ENTRETIEN REGULIER ET MAINTENANCE
1. Examen de l’embout lumineux
Il faut vérifier chaque jour que l’extrémité de l’embout lumineux ne présente pas :
• de résidus de matériaux de restauration (celui-ci doit être éliminé avec précaution à l’aide d’un objet émoussé non-
métallique) ;
• de dommages mécaniques.
Il est nécessaire de procéder à ces contrôles afin de prévenir la diminution de l’intensité lumineuse.
Si aucune des actions ci-dessus n’améliore l’intensité lumineuse, la lampe doit être confiée au service du fabricant.
2. Désinfecter la pièce à main avec un chiffon doux et la solution désinfectante. Ne pas pulvériser, mais seulement essuyer. Aucun liquide ne
doit pénétrer à l‘intérieur de la pièce à main. Ne pas utiliser de produits abrasifs. Nous recommandons la désinfection par pulvérisation M+W
sans alcool. Imprégner le chiffon et essuyer doucement la pièce à main.
Retirer les résidus éventuels de composite du guide de lumière.
Retraitement manuel et mécanique du guide de lumière, de l‘écran anti-éblouissement et du capuchon de
protection :
- Ne pas utiliser de produits abrasifs ni de brosses métalliques.
Nettoyage manuel
Accessoire : brosser avec une brosse douce, un chiffon non pelucheux, un détergent alcalin (exemple : bain pour instruments AF de M+W), de
l‘eau distillée.

1 1 min Rincer les pièces utilisées à l‘eau froide et nettoyer immédiatement
les saletés grossières visibles.
2 Plonger les pièces prélavées dans un détergent alcalin. Elles doivent être
totalement immergées. Respecter la concentration d‘utilisation

3 1 min Rincer ensuite à l‘eau claire. Si des saletés sont encore visibles,
répéter les étapes 1-3 jusqu‘à ce qu‘il n‘y ait plus de saleté visible.
4 1 min Rincer ensuite les pièces à l‘eau distillée et les sécher.
5 Effectuer ensuite un contrôle visuel des pièces pour vérifier l‘absence,
de saleté. Si nécessaire, répéter les étapes 1 à 6.
Retraitement mécanique en LD (uniquement guide de lumière et capuchon de protection)
Préparation : prélavage, voir point 1 du nettoyage manuel. Contrôle visuel. Si des saletés restent visibles, effectuer un nouveau prélavage ma-
nuel jusqu‘à élimination des saletés.
Déposer ensuite dans le thermodésinfecteur. Attention ! Le guide de lumière ne doit toucher aucun autre objet pendant le retraitement (ris-
que de casse !)
Démarrer le cycle de lavage du thermodésinfecteur :

À la fin du lavage, contrôler soigneusement les pièces pour vérifier qu‘elles ne sont pas endommagées, rayées, etc. Retirer les pièces endom-
magées.
Stérilisation du guide de lumière et du capuchon de protection :
Déposer les pièces dans des emballages appropriés (selon DIN 58 953/7 ou EN 868).
Stériliser ensuite dans l’autoclave à 134 °C.
VII. CONDITIONS DE GARANTIES
1. La période de garantie de la lampe de polymérisation M+W Superlite 1300 est de 24 mois à compter de la date d’achat. Si la date d’achat n’a
pas été relevée, la date de fabrication s’applique.
2. Durant la période de garantie, le remplacement des composants défectueux (excepté l’embout lumineux, le module LED et la batterie pour
lesquels la garantie est de 6 mois) est pris en charge gratuitement par le fabricant.
3. Si l’appareil est endommagé, au cours de la période de garantie, à la suite d’une utilisation non conforme (dommages mécaniques, chimi-
ques, thermiques ou électriques), d’un usage ou stockage incorrect ou de toute autre raison imputable à l’utilisateur, ce dernier prend en charge
le paiement des réparations. Si un quelconque dommage est constaté sur les câbles électriques, l’appareil doit être immédiatement rapporté au
fabricant. L’appareil ne doit pas être utilisé si des câbles sont endommagés.
Si des liquides comme de l’eau et des solvants, ou bien des substances corrosives ou inflammables ainsi que leurs vapeurs pénètrent dans
l’appareil, ou bien que celui-ci a été rincé ou essuyé avec ces mêmes substances, ou que des insectes ou rongeurs l’ont attaqué, la lampe doit
être immédiatement rapportée au fabricant. Dans de tels cas, la garantie s’annule.
Ne sont pas acceptés les dommages et réclamations résultant de chocs électriques, d’orages, du non-respect des mesures de sécurité électrique,
et d’une protection insuffisante des patients, du personnel ou de tierces personnes contre l’irradiation lumineuse.
Le fabricant n’est tenu à aucune compensation des pertes de gains entraînés par des défauts de l’appareil ou de fonctionnement quelle qu’en
soit la cause.
Ne sont pas acceptés les dommages et réclammations résultant de mesures de sécurité insuffisantes et d’un manque de précautions durant
le transport, le déballage, le déplacement, l’utilisation ou le stockage de l’appareil. La garantie est nulle et non avenue si l’un des cas cités ci-
dessus s’applique.
En cas de litiges sur l’utilisation et l’interpretation du mode d’emploi, c’est le droit allemand qui s’applique. Le tribunal competent est celui
de Friedberg.
4. L’obligation de garantie prend fin si la reparation ou l’entretien de l’appareil est effectue par des personnes non autorisees ou si la reparation
ou l’entretien de l’appareil est effectue avec des pieces n’etant pas des pieces de rechange originales du M+W Superlite 1300.

La lampada fotopolimerizzatrice a LED M+W Superlite 1300 è una fonte luminosa destinata alla polimerizzazione intraorale di materiali
dentali.L‘apparecchio utilizza un modulo a LED (diodi luminosi) come fonte di luce. La luce emessa copre una banda di lunghezza d‘onda tra 430

e 490 nm (banda adatta per prodotti contenenti canforochinone). La lampada M+W Superlite 1300 è formata da un manipolo cordless e una
stazione di ricarica. La lampada M+W Superlite 1300 è fabbricata in conformità alla Direttiva 93/42/CEE sui dispositivi medici.

IV. MISURE DI SICUREZZA
Il corretto funzionamento e il sicuro utilizzo di questo apparecchio, come nel caso di tutti gli apparecchi tecnici, dipendono dal rispetto da parte
dell‘operatore delle procedure standard e di sicurezza, nonché delle raccomandazioni di sicurezza speciali contenute nelle presenti istruzioni
per l‘uso.
1. L‘apparecchio deve essere utilizzato rigorosamente nel rispetto delle istruzioni per l‘uso. Il fabbricante declina ogni responsabilità per even-
tuali danni derivanti dall‘utilizzo di questo apparecchio per finalità diverse.
2. Prima di mettere in funzione l‘apparecchio occorre verificare che la tensione di rete corrisponda alla tensione d‘esercizio indicata sulla tar-
ghetta dell‘apparecchio. L‘impiego dell‘apparecchio con una tensione differente può danneggiarlo. La sicurezza elettrica è garantita dalla classe
di protezione II contro danni da scosse elettriche ai sensi della norma EN 60601-1. Non è necessario utilizzare un connettore con contatto di pro-

tezione oppure mettere a terra l‘apparecchio.
La lampada M+W Superlite 1300 deve essere utilizzata in ambienti chiusi che soddisfino le seguenti condizioni:
• Temperatura +10 °C – +40 °C;
• Umidità relativa dell‘aria - 30 – 75%;
• Pressione dell‘aria 700 – 1060 hPa;
• Assenza di sostanze chimicamente attive o infiammabili.
3. In caso di esposizione degli occhi a radiazioni esiste un certo rischio di subire danni agli occhi. La lampada non deve essere quindi puntata di-
rettamente in direzione degli occhi! L‘irradiazione deve essere limitata strettamente all‘area di lavoro. Si raccomanda vivamente di indossare
occhiali protettivi e/o una protezione per il viso che schermi efficacemente lo spettro di luce blu! ATTENZIONE! La luce emessa copre una banda
di lunghezza d‘onda tra 430 e 490 nm. Mentre si lavora occorre indossare occhiali protettivi e/o una protezione per il viso!
4. L‘apparecchio deve essere utilizzato sulle seguenti persone solo dopo aver consultato il medico curante:
• Persone con reazioni fotobiologiche; persone in trattamento con farmaci fotosensibili; • Persone che hanno subito interventi di cataratta; per-
sone con malattie retiniche, ecc.
5. Solventi, liquidi infiammabili e intense fonti di calore non devono trovarsi in prossimità dell‘apparecchio, poiché l‘esposizione agli stessi può
danneggiare le parti in plastica dell‘apparecchio.
6. I detergenti non devono penetrare nell‘apparecchio, poiché possono provocare un cortocircuito o un malfunzionamento potenzialmente pe-
ricoloso dell‘apparecchio.
7. Solo i tecnici autorizzati dall‘officina possono aprire e riparare l‘apparecchio.
8. Per la sostituzione di eventuali parti difettose devono essere utilizzati esclusivamente i ricambi originali M+W Superlite 1300. La garan-
zia dell‘apparecchio non copre danni riconducibili all‘uso di ricambi non originali. Non smontare l‘apparecchio né le sue parti fin tanto che
l‘apparecchio è collegato alla rete!
9. Prima di ogni utilizzo, preparare il fotoconduttore, lo schermo fotoprotettivo antiabbagliamento e il tappo fotoprotettivo secondo le racco-
mandazioni riportate alla sezione VI. Cura e manutenzione.
10. FRAGILE! Durante il trasporto, la conservazione e la manipolazione dell‘apparecchio è richiesta estrema cautela!
11. Ai sensi della Direttiva 2002/96/CE, questo simbolo indica che il prodotto non può essere smaltito tra i rifiuti domestici al termine della sua
vita utile. Il prodotto deve essere consegnato a speciali centri di raccolta di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche. Uno smaltimento a regola
d‘arte di apparecchi dismessi previene un impatto negativo sull‘ambiente e sulla salute umana!
12. Sviluppo di calore
Questa lampada, come tutte le lampade ad alta potenza, emette un‘elevata intensità di luce con formazione di calore. L‘irradiazione prolungata
dell‘area peripulpare o del tessuto molle può causare danni irreversibili. Si raccomanda, pertanto, di rispettare i tempi di irradiazione prescritti,
soprattutto nell‘area peripulpare (adesivi 10 secondi). Evitare assolutamente tempi di irradiazione ininterrotti superiori a 20 secondi sulla stessa
superficie dentale e un contatto diretto con la gengiva, la mucosa orale o la cute. In caso di restauri indiretti occorre lavorare ad intervalli inter-
mittenti di 20 secondi oppure aggiungere un raffreddamento esterno mediante getto d‘aria.
V. PREPARAZIONE E PROCEDURA DI UTILIZZO
La lampada M+W Superlite 1300 è prevista per l‘uso come apparecchio da tavolo indipendente.
1. Estrarre la lampada fotopolimerizzatrice M+W Superlite 1300 dalla relativa confezione. Attenzione! L‘apparecchio deve essere posizionato
ad una distanza di minima di 1 metro da eventuali fonti di calore.
2. Prima del primo utilizzo, preparare il fotoconduttore, lo schermo fotoprotettivo antiabbagliamento e il tappo fotoprotettivo secondo le racco-
mandazioni riportate alla sezione VI. Cura e manutenzione.
3. Collegare l‘alimentatore alla presa di rete.
4. Il manipolo cordless deve essere completamente carico prima del primo utilizzo. A tal fine servono almeno 10 ore di ricarica. Le batterie agli
ioni di litio nuove raggiungono una capacità completa solo dopo alcuni cicli di carica/scarica. Per questo motivo, la batteria ha inizialmente
un‘autonomia sufficiente solo per un numero inferiore di irradiazioni.
5. M+W Superlite 1300 dispone di 4 modalità di polimerizzazione che assicurano un indurimento rapido e completo del materiale da ottura-
zione. Selezionare la modalità di polimerizzazione premendo il tasto MODE sul gruppo comandi digitale del manipolo. Premere più volte il tasto
fino a selezionare la modalità di polimerizzazione desiderata:

A – RAMP (rampa) L – LONG (prolungata) F – FAST (rapida) P – PULSE (a impulsi)
Modalità RAMP (10 - 20 - 30 s) - Durante i primi 3 secondi, l‘intensità della luce aumenta lentamente da 0% a 100% (softstart) per evitare di
compromettere la qualità del materiale da otturazione.
Modalità LONG (9 min) - Adatta per operazioni prolungate e procedure di sbiancamento. La lampada emette un segnale acustico rispettiva-
mente dopo 1 minuto. La lampada fotopolimerizzatrice funziona in continuo per 9 minuti fino ad una nuova pressione del tasto Start/Stop. In
questa modalità di polimerizzazione l‘intensità della luce raggiunge il massimo livello.
Modalità FAST (10 s) - La luce emessa raggiunge la massima intensità (100%) per garantire l‘indurimento del composito fotopolimerizzante.
Modalità PULSE (10 - 20 - 30 s) - Viene emessa una sequenza di impulsi luminosi intervallati da pause per evitare una retrazione del mate-
riale da otturazione senza estendere il tempo di irradiazione. Selezionare il tempo di irradiazione premendo più volte il tasto „TIMER“. La linea
orizzontale indica il tempo selezionato - 10, 20 o 30 s.
6. L‘apparecchio si attiva premendo il tasto Start/Stop sul manipolo. Dopo l‘attivazione dell‘apparecchio, sull‘indicatore digitale compare il
timer di countdown. La lampada emette un segnale acustico ogni 10 secondi.
7. Orientare la luce emessa dal manipolo sul sito da polimerizzare mantenendo una distanza ravvicinata (4-7 mm) e accertandosi che il fotocon-
duttore non tocchi il composito fotopolimerizzante nei primi due secondi. Successivamente, quando lo strato superficiale si è sufficientemente
indurito, è possibile toccare il composito fotopolimerizzante con il fotoconduttore.
8. Dopo aver premuto per la seconda volta il tasto Start/Stop oppure quando è trascorso il tempo preselezionato (10, 20 o 30 s), l‘apparecchio
si arresta. Se è necessario un ulteriore ciclo di indurimento, è possibile attivare nuovamente l‘apparecchio. Al termine del trattamento, riporre il
manipolo sulla relativa stazione di ricarica.
9. Al termine della giornata di lavoro, si raccomanda di spegnere la lampada fotopolimerizzatrice scollegando l‘alimentatore dalla presa.
10. FUNZIONE „CICALINO ON/OFF“. Questa funzione consente l‘attivazione e disattivazione del cicalino. Tenere premuto il pulsante MODE per
circa 5–6 secondi. Compare l‘indicatore del cicalino e il cicalino viene commutato automaticamente nello stato opposto: se il cicalino è su ON,
premendo il pulsante MODE compare OFF e il cicalino viene disattivato. Se il cicalino è su OFF, premendo il pulsante MODE compare ON e il ci-
calino viene attivato.
FUNZIONE „SLEEP“
Il manipolo cordless è provvisto di una funzione „Sleep“ che riduce al minimo il consumo energetico dell‘apparecchio.
Il manipolo passa in modalità „Sleep“:
• quando viene riposto sulla stazione di ricarica e viene completamente ricaricato;
• quando rimane inutilizzato per circa 30 secondi fuori della stazione di ricarica;
È possibile terminare la modalità „Sleep“ solo premendo il tasto Start/Stop. L‘indicatore del manipolo segnala il tempo di irradiazione selezio-
nato per ultimo.
MANUTENZIONE, RICARICA E SOSTITUZIONE DELLA BATTERIA
Il manipolo cordless è provvisto di un controllo elettronico dello stato di carica che assicura una carica ottimale della batteria ed evita una ca-
rica eccessiva.
• Non riporre il manipolo sulla stazione di ricarica se la batteria non è inserita nel manipolo! • Prima di utilizzare la lampada M+W Superlite
1300 per la prima volta occorre ricaricare il manipolo cordless per almeno 10 ore.
• In stato normale di funzionamento, il manipolo cordless rimane completamente carico per circa 120 min.
• Riporre il manipolo sulla stazione di ricarica quando non viene utilizzato nel corso della giornata.
• Se la batteria si sta scaricando mentre si lavora, il timer di countdown lampeggia e sul display compare „Lb“ (Low battery). In questo caso, ri-
porre il manipolo sulla relativa stazione di ricarica affinché possa ricaricarsi.
• L‘indicatore a LED CHARGE lampeggia quando il manipolo si trova sulla stazione di ricarica. Durante la ricarica lampeggiano in successione 3
linee sul display del manipolo. Terminata la procedura di ricarica, la lampada emette un segnale acustico prolungato e per 30 secondi lampeg-
giano 3 linee sul manipolo. Successivamente, il manipolo passa in modalità „Sleep“.
• Utilizzare esclusivamente batterie agli ioni di litio originali M+W Superlite 1300 (altezza 65 mm, diametro 18 mm), 3,7 V, 2400 mAh.
• Dopo circa 500 cicli di ricarica, una batteria agli ioni di litio ha perso circa il 20% della sua capacità.
• Per sostituire la batteria aglio ioni di litio: svitare il coperchio inferiore del manipolo e rimuovere con cautela la scheda elettronica; rimuovere
l‘accoppiamento ed estrarre la batteria aprendo leggermente le parti in plastica del manipolo. Inserire la batteria seguendo l‘ordine inverso.
