Overview
Congratulations for purchasing the Wind Box DE500/ DC500
(MS-6676) System. This system is your best slim PC choice.
With the fantastic appearance and ultrasmall form factor, it can
easily be set anywhere. The feature packed platform also gives
you an exciting PC experience.

Press the cover to open the drive bay.
Power Button/ LED
Press the power button to turn the system on and o. The power LE D
glows when the system is turned on and goes o when the system is shut
down. In terms of power saving, the LE D blinks in S3 (Suspend to RAM)
mode and goes o in S4 (Suspend to Disk) mode. Pressing the system
power button will wake the system up from power saving mode.
HDD LED
The HDD LED is on when data is read from or written to the hard disk drive.

Press the cover to open the drive bay.
Power Button/ LED
Press the power button to turn the system on and o. The power LE D

We suggest that you connect the AC/ DC adapter to your system rst and then connect
the AC power cord to the socket-outlet for safety concerns.
It is normal that the spark occurs when you put the power adapter into the socket-out-
let.

Headphone (Green)
This is a connector for headphones or speakers.
Microphone (Pink)
This is a connector for microphones.
USB Port
The USB (Universal Serial Bus) port is for attaching USB devices such as
mouse, keyboard, printer, scanner, camera, PDA and other USB-compat-
ible devices.
Card Reader Drive (Optional)
The built-in card reader may support various types of memory card, such
as XD (eXtreme Digital), SD (Secure Digital), SDHC (SD High Capacity),
MS (Memory Stick), MS Pro (Memory Stick Pro) or MMC (Multi-Media
Card) cards that usually used in devices like digital cameras, MP3 players,
mobile phones and PDAs. Contact the local dealer for further information
and please be noted that the supported memory cards may vary without
notice.
VGA Port (Output)
The DB15-pin female connector is provided for monitor.
USB Port
The USB (Universal Serial Bus) port is provided for attaching USB devices

LAN Jack
The standard RJ-45 LAN jack is provided for connection to the Local Area
Network (LAN). You can connect a network cable to it.
Green/ OrangeYellow
LED Color LED State Condition
Left Yellow O LAN link is not established.
On (steady state) LAN link is established.
On (brighter & pulsing) The computer is communicating with
another computer on the LAN.
Right Green O 10 Mbit/sec data rate is selected.
On 100 Mbit/sec data rate is selected.
Orange On 1000 Mbit/sec data rate is selected.
Power Jack
The AC/ DC adapter converts AC power to DC power for this jack. Power
supplied through this jack supplies power to your personal computer. To
prevent damage to the PC, always use the supplied power adapter.
Line-In (Blue)
Line-In, is used for external CD player, tapeplayer or other audio devices.
Line-Out (Green)
Line-Out, is used for speakers or headphones.
Mic (Pink)
Mic, is used for microphones.
RS-Out (Black)
Rear-Surround Out in 4/ 5.1/ 7.1 channel mode.
CS-Out (Orange)
Center/ Subwoofer Out in 5.1/ 7.1 channel mode.
SS-Out (Gray)
Side-Surround Out in 7.1 channel mode.
Ventilator
The ventilator on the enclosure is used for air convection and to prevent the
equipment from overheating. Do not cover the ventilator.
DVI-D Port (Optional)
The DVI-D (Digital Visual Interface) connector allows you to connect a
LCD monitor. It provides a high-speed digital interconnection between the
computer and its display device. To connect an LCD monitor, simply plug
your monitor cable into the DVI-D connector, and make sure that the other
end of the cable is properly connected to your monitor (refer to your monitor
manual for more information.)
HDMI Port (Optional)
The High-Denition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is an all-digital audio/
video interface capable of transmitting uncompressed streams. HDMI sup-
ports all TV format, including standard, enhanced or high-denition video,
plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable.
