4.IftheCPUiscorrectlyinstalled, thepinsshouldbe
completelyembedded intothesocketandcan not

5.Press theCPUdownfirmlyintothesocket and
closethelever.AstheCPUislikelytomovewhile

attached on thetop topreventoverheating. If you donothavetheheat sinkandcooling fan,

mechanism. Hookoneendofthecliptohook
first.
2.Then press downtheotherendoftheclipto
fasten thecoolingsetonthetopoftheretention
mechanism. LocatetheFixLeverandlift up it.
3.Fasten downthelever.
4.AttachtheCPUFan cabletotheCPUfan
connectoron themainboard.
Important:
Overheatingwill seriouslydamagetheCPUandsystem.Alwaysmakesurethecooling fan
can workproperlytoprotecttheCPUfromoverheating.
Makesurethat youapplyan even layerof heat sinkpaste(orthermaltape)betweenthe
CPUand theheatsinktoenhanceheatdissipation.
While replacingtheCPU, alwaysturnofftheATXpowersupplyorunplugthepowersupply
powercordfromthegroundedoutletfirst toensurethesafetyofCPU.
InstallingMemoryModules
1.The memorymodulehasonlyonenotchon thecenterandwillonlyfit intheright
orientation.
2.InsertthememorymoduleverticallyintotheDIMMslot.Then pushitinuntil the
golden fingeron thememorymoduleisdeeplyinsertedintheDIMMslot.You can
barelysee thegolden fingerifthememorymoduleisproperlyinserted intheDIMM
slot.
3.The plasticclipat eachsideoftheDIMMslot willautomaticallyclose.

DDR2memorymodulesarenot interchangeablewithDDR andtheDDR2standardisnot
backwardscompatible. Youshouldalwaysinstall DDR2memorymodulesintheDDR2
DIMMslots.
InDual-Channel mode,makesurethat youinstallmemorymodulesofthesametypeand
densityindifferent channel DIMMslots.
Toenablesuccessful systemboot-up,alwaysinsert thememorymodulesintotheDIMM1
first.

ToconnecttheATX24-pinpowersupply,makesuretheplugofthe
powersupplyisinserted intheproperorientation andthepinsare
