Thank you for using a Nederman product!

environments. Nederman's products and solutions will
help you improve your productivity, reduce costs and
also reduce the impact on the environment from in-
dustrial processes.
Read all product documentation and the product iden-
tification plate carefully before installation, use, and
service of this product. Replace documentation imme-
diately if lost. Nederman reserves the right, without
previous notice, to modify and improve its products
including documentation.
This product is designed to meet the requirements
of relevant EC directives. To maintain this status, all
installation, maintenance, and repair is to be done
by qualified personnel using only Nederman original
spare parts and accessories. Contact the nearest au-
thorized distributor or Nederman for advice on tech-
nical service and obtaining spare parts. If there are
any damaged or missing parts when the product is de-
livered, notify the carrier and the local Nederman rep-
resentative immediately.
2Safety
2.1Classification of important informa-
tion
This document contains important information that
is presented either as a warning, caution or note, ac-
cording to the following examples:
WARNING!Risk of personal injury
Warnings indicate a potential hazard to the
health and safety of personnel, and how that
hazard may be avoided.
CAUTION!Risk of equipment damage
Cautions indicate a potential hazard to the
product but not to personnel, and how that
hazard may be avoided.

ant for personnel.
2.2General
• In accordance with the European standard the in-
coming 3-phase supply should be fitted with a hand
operated approved switch that must be moun-
ted near the Cable Reel. Refer to local and national
standards when located outside of Europe.
• The continuity of the protective current circuit
should be checked before the Cable Reel 793 is
used.
• Check that the supply voltage and frequency cor-
respond with the data on the machine plate of the
Cable Reel 793 before connecting to the mains sup-
ply.
• The Cable Reel 793 should be connected to earth by
the electrician carrying out the installation.
• Work on the electrical equipment may only be car-
ried out by a qualified electrician.
• All power conductors and earth conductors should
be checked and if necessary retightened a few
months after commissioning to ensure good con-
tact.
• Never carry out service work, electrical or mechan-
ical, without disconnecting the mains voltage using
an approved switch. Lock the switch if necessary.
• Always replace damaged, worn or defective elec-
trical components or other parts with new original
parts.

4Installation
4.1Mounting instructions
See Figure1. The Cable Reel 793 is designed for wall
or ceiling mounting. Maximum installation height
above floor is 4 m. Choose a position where the cable
is bent as little as possible against the outlet rollers.
Select a level surface on which to mount the reel and
use the template to mark the holes. Ensure that suit-
able fixing bolts are used and that they are secured.
The bolts must each stand a torque force of minimum
2300 N.
4.2Cable outlet
The cable outlet can be fitted in two different posi-
tions according to Figure3. Choose a position where
the cable is bent as little as possible. See also Figure1
4.3Electrical installation
WARNING!Risk of personal injury
Main circuit connection must be done by a qual-
ified installation contractor.
The Cable Reel 793 is delivered with a connecting
cable. If another connecting cable is required, choose
a cable with at least the same design and quality as for
the distribution cable.
The following applies if an outlet socket is to be fitted:
• A minimum protection class of IP 55 is to be used.
• The earth (yellow/green cable) should be connected
to the applicable terminal in the outlet socket.
• Strain relief and flexible cable sheaths should be se-
cured.
4.4Ratchet mechanism
The Cable Reel 793 is delivered with a ratchet mech-
anism which retains the cable in the required out-
drawn position. The ratchet will disengage if the cable
is drawn out a little further and the cable then recoils
to the drum. It should be noted that the cable should
be held by hand as long as possible during the recoil-
ing (see Figure1).
The ratchet function can be disengaged by removing
the ratchet, see Figure3. In that case, the cable must
first be completely recoiled.
4.5Thermal overload protector
The Cable Reel 793 is equipped with a thermal over-
load protector which means that the power will dis-
connect automatically if the reel should be over-
loaded.
If the overload protector cuts out:
1 Disconnect any products connected to the Cable
Reel 793 .
2 Let the Cable Reel 793 get cool.
3 Push the reset button (X), Figure3.
4 The Cable Reel 793 is again ready for use.
4.6Adjustment of spring tension
The Cable Reel 793 has factory set full spring tension
which must not be increased further. In case of service
or cable change it could, however, be necessary to ad-
just the spring tension.
4.6.1Increasing the spring tension
1 Make sure that the Cable Reel 793 is in place and
fully recoiled on the reel.
2 Use a tommy bar and turn in the direction of the
arrow (+) as shown in Figure2.
3 Tension the spring one revolution at a time and
test the coiling operation gradually.

EN NOTE!
Do not tension the spring more than is needed
to exactly roll the cable to its position of rest.
Check that the cable can be fully uncoiled
without stretching the spring to its maximum.
If not, decrease the spring tension.
4.6.2Decreasing the spring tension
1 Make sure that the cable is in place and fully re-
coiled on the reel.
2 Use a tommy bar and turn in the direction of the
arrow (-) as shown in the Figure2.
5Maintenance
CAUTION!Risk of equipment damage
Use only Nederman original spare parts and ac-
cessories.
Is recommended to be accomplished regularly or at
least once a year.
• Check that the cable is intact. Clean the cable if it is
oiled or dirty.
• Check the spring function by testing if the cable re-
coils properly. Adjust if necessary.
• Check the reels ratchet mechanism.
• Check the mounting of the Cable Reel 793 on wall or
ceiling.
WARNING!Risk of personal injury
Before dismantling any part of the Cable Reel
793 , for example when changing cable:
• Disconnect power supply.
• Release spring tension by removing the cable
stop and allow the cable to recoil completely.

6.1Ordering spare parts
When ordering spare parts always state the following:
• The part number and control number (see the
product identification plate).
• Detail number and name of the spare part (see
w$w$w$.$n$e$d$e$r$m$a$n$.$c$o$m$/$e$n$/$s$e$r$v$i$c$e$/$s$p$a$r$e$-$p$a$r$t$-
$s$e$a$r$c$h$).
• Quantity of the parts required.
7Recycling
The product has been designed for component mater-
ials to be recycled. Different material types must be
handled according to relevant local regulations. Con-
tact the distributor or$N$e$d$e$r$m$a$n$ if uncertainties arise
when scrapping the product at the end of its service
life.

2Sicherheit
2.1Klassifizierung wichtiger Informa-
tionen
Dieses Dokument enthält wichtige Informationen, die

für die Gesundheit und die Sicherheit der Be-

Vorsichtshinweise kennzeichnen eine mögli-
che Gefahr für das Produkt, jedoch nicht für das
Personal, und enthalten Informationen zur Ge-

2.2General
• Gemäß dem europäischen Standard muss die drei-
phasige elektrische Stromzufuhr mit einem zugelas-
senen handbedienten Schalter geschaltet werden,
der in der Nähe des Kabelaufrollers angebracht sein
muss.
• Vor der Inbetriebnahme des Cable Reel 793 ist die
Kontinuität des Schutzleiters zu kontrollieren.
• Vor dem Anschluss an das Stromnetz ist sicherzu-
stellen, dass die Stromspannung und -frequenz mit
den Angaben auf dem Typenschild des Cable Reel
793 übereinstimmen.
• Der Cable Reel 793 muss von dem Elektriker, der die
Installation durchführt, geerdet werden.
• Der Kabelaufroller muss von einem Elektroinstalla-
teur vorschriftsmäßig geerdet werden.
• Arbeiten an der elektrischen Ausrüstung dürfen nur
von zugelassenen Elektrikern ausgeführt werden.
• Vor allen elektrischen oder mechanischen Service-
arbeiten ist die Stromzufuhr mit einem zugelasse-
nen Schalter zu unterbrechen. Bei Bedarf den Schal-
ter verriegeln.
• Beschädigte, verschlissene oder defekte Bauteile
sind immer durch Originalersatzteile zu ersetzen.

4Installation
4.1Montageanleitung
Siehe Abbildung1. Der Cable Reel 793 ist für die
Wand- oder Deckenmontage konzipiert. Die maxima-
le Einbauhöhe über dem Boden beträgt 4 m. Wählen
Sie eine Position, in der das Kabel so wenig wie mög-
lich gegen die Auslassrollen gebogen wird.
Wählen Sie eine ebene Fläche für die Montage des
Aufrollers und verwenden Sie die Schablone, um die
Löcher zu markieren. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass ge-
eignete Befestigungsschrauben verwendet werden
und dass diese gesichert sind. Die Schrauben müssen
jeweils ein Drehmoment von mindestens 2300 N aus-
halten.
4.2Kabelausgang
Der Kabelausgang kann in zwei verschiedenen Posi-
tionen montiert werden, gemäß Abbildung3. Wählen

4.3Elektrische Installation
WARNUNG!Verletzungsgefahr
Der Netzanschluß ist von einem Fachmann vor-
zunehmen.
Der Cable Reel 793 wird mit einem Verbindungskabel
geliefert. Wird ein anderes Verbindungskabel benö-
tigt, ist ein Kabel derselben Konstruktion und mindes-
tens derselben Qualität wie das mitgelieferte Versor-
gungskabel zu wählen.
Bei der Montage einer El.-Kupplung müssen folgende
Vorschriften beachtet werden:
• Mindestens Schutzart IP 55.
• Schutzleiter (gelb/grün) muß vorschriftsmäßig an-
geschlossen sein.
• Eine Zugentlastung und Knickschutz müssen vor-
handen sein.
4.4Rastmechanismus
Der Cable Reel 793 wird mit einem Sperrmechanis-
mus geliefert, der das Kabel in der gewünschten aus-
gezogenen Position festhält. Die Arretierung löst sich,
wenn das Kabel noch ein wenig weiter ausgezogen
wird, und das Kabel rollt dann zur Trommel zurück. Es
ist zu beachten, dass das Kabel während des Aufrol-
lens so lange wie möglich von Hand geführt werden
sollte (siehe Abbildung1).
Die Arretierung kann durch Entfernung der Sperre
ausgeschaltet werden, siehe Abbildung3. Dazu muss
das Kabel zunächst völlig aufgerollt werden.
4.5Thermischer Überlastungsschutz
Der Cable Reel 793 ist mit einem thermischen Über-
lastungsschutz ausgerüstet, der die Stromversorgung
bei Überlastung des Kabelaufrollers automatisch un-
terbricht.
Wenn der Überlastungsschutz ausgelöst wurde:
1 Alle mit dem Cable Reel 793 verbundenen Geräte
trennen.
2 Den Cable Reel 793 abkühlen lassen.
3 Die Reset-Taste (X) betätigen, Abbildung3.
4 Damit ist der Cable Reel 793 wieder einsatzbereit.
4.6Federkrafteinstellung
Die im Werk eingestellte Federkraft des Cable Reel
793 darf nicht erhöht werden. Bei Wartung oder Ka-
beltausch ist jedoch eventuell eine Federkrafteinstel-
lung notwendig.
4.6.1Erhöhen der Federspannung
1 Sicherstellen, dass der Cable Reel 793 angebracht
und vollständig aufgerollt ist.

2 Mit einem Knebel in Pfeilrichtung (+) drehen wie
in Abbildung2 dargestellt.
3 Die Federkraft um jeweils eine Umdrehung erhö-
hen und den Aufrollvorgang zwischendurch immer
wieder überprüfen.
BEACHTEN!
Die Federkraft nicht stärker einstellen als ge-
rade erforderlich, um das Kabel komplett auf-
zuwickeln. Abschließend prüfen, ob das Kabel
komplett abgerollt werden kann, ohne das Fe-
derpaket vollständig zu spannen. Ist dies nicht
möglich, die Federkraft verringern.
4.6.2Verringern der Federspannung
1 Das Kabel muss auf die Trommel montiert und auf-
gerollt sein.
2 Mit einem Knebel in Pfeilrichtung (+) drehen wie
in Abbildung2 dargestellt.
5Wartung
VORSICHT!Gefahr der Anlagenbeschädi-
gung
Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Originalersatz-
teile und Zubehör von Nederman.
Folgende Wartungen sind regelmäßig oder mindes-
tens einmal pro Jahr durchzuführen:
• Federfunktion durch Aufrollen des Kabels testen.
Bei Bedarf einstellen.
• Kabel auf Defekte überprüfen. Das Kabel reinigen,
falls es ölig oder verschmutzt ist.
• Den Rastmechanismus überprüfen.
• Befestigung des Cable Reel 793 an Wand bzw. De-
cke überprüfen.
WARNUNG!Verletzungsgefahr
Vor der Demontage von Teilen des Cable Reel
793 , z. B. beim Kabelwechsel:
• Die Stromversorgung ist unterbrochen
• Die Rückholfeder des Kabelaufrollers ist zu
entlasten: Dazu muß der Stopper und die El.-
kupplung demontiert werden, damit sich das
Kabel komplett aufrollen läßt.

cyclingfähigkeit der einzelnen Komponenten geach-
tet. Die verschiedenen Materialarten sind gemäß den
einschlägigen örtlichen Bestimmungen zu entsor-
gen. Bei Unklarheiten über die korrekte Entsorgung
des Produktes wenden Sie sich an Ihren Händler oder

Este producto está diseñado para cumplir los requisi-

reparación deberán ser efectuados por personal cuali-
ficado utilizando únicamente piezas de repuesto y ac-
cesorios originales Nederman. Póngase en contacto
con el distribuidor autorizado más próximo o con Ne-
derman para asesoramiento sobre servicio técnico y
obtención de piezas de repuesto. Si hay algún compo-
nente dañado o extraviado en la entrega del producto,

2.2General
• De acuerdo con la norma europea, la alimentación
trifásica entrante debe estar equipada con un inte-
rruptor de accionamiento manual homologado y si-
tuado cerca del enrollador de cable. Consulte las nor-
mas locales y nacionales cuando esté fuera de Euro-
pa.
• Es conveniente comprobar la continuidad del circui-
to de la corriente de protección antes de utilizar Ca-
ble Reel 793 .
• Compruebe que la tensión y la frecuencia de alimen-
tación se corresponden con los datos de la placa de
características de Cable Reel 793 antes de conectar-
la a la red eléctrica.
• El electricista que lleve a cabo la instalación de Cable
Reel 793 deberá conectar la unidad a tierra.
• El trabajo en del equipo eléctrico solamente puede
llevarla a cabo un electricista cualificado.
• Se deben revisar todos los conductores eléctricos y
de tierra y, si es necesario, volver a apretar unos me-
ses después de la puesta en servicio para garantizar
un buen contacto.
• No realice nunca trabajos de puesta a punto, eléctri-
cos o mecánicos, sin desconectar la tensión de red
mediante un interruptor homologado. Si es necesa-
rio, bloquee el interruptor.
• Utilice siempre piezas y repuestos nuevos y origina-
les para sustituir los componentes eléctricos u otras
piezas dañadas, desgastadas o defectuosas.

4Instalación
4.1Instrucciones de montaje
Consulte Ilustración1. El Cable Reel 793 está diseña-
do para montaje en pared o techo. La altura máxima de
instalación sobre el suelo es de 4m. Elija una posición
en la que el cable se doble lo menos posible contra los
rodillos de salida.
Elija una superficie nivelada para montar el enrollador
y utilice el patrón para marcar los orificios. Asegúrese
de que los pernos de fijación utilizados sean adecua-
dos y queden seguros. Los pernos deben soportar ca-
da uno una fuerza de torsión de 2300N como mínimo.
4.2Salida de cable
La salida de cable se puede instalar en dos posiciones
según Ilustración3. Elija una posición en la que el ca-
ble se doble lo menos posible. Consulte también Ilus-
tración1
4.3Instalación eléctrica
¡ADVERTENCIA!Riesgo de lesión personal
La conexión a la red debe efectuarla un instala-
dor autorizado.
El Cable Reel 793 se entrega con un cable de cone-
xión. Si se precisa otro cable de conexión, elija un ca-
ble con al menos el mismo diseño y calidad que el cable
suministrado.
Lo que se indica a continuación se aplica si se va a ins-
talar una toma de salida:
• Se debe usar una clase de protección mínima de IP
55.
• La fierra (cable amarillo/verde) debe ser conectada a
la correspondiente borna.
• Asegurar y proteger el cable de estiramiento y tor-
siones.
4.4Mecanismo de trinquete
El Cable Reel 793 incorpora un trinquete que retiene
el cable en la posición que se desee. Para desactivar
el trinquete, extraiga el cable un poco más y el cable
volverá hacia el tambor. Sostenga con la mano el cable
hasta que se enrolle completamente.(consulte Ilustra-
ción1).
La función de trinquete puede desconectarse si se
quita el trinquete, consulte Ilustración3. En ese caso,
enrolle el cable por completo.
4.5Protección contra sobrecarga térmi-
ca
El Cable Reel 793 está provisto de un protector contra
sobrecarga térmica que desconecta automáticamente
el suministro eléctrico si se sobrecarga el enrollador.
Si el protector contra sobrecarga se corta:
1 Desconecte todos los productos conectados al Ca-
ble Reel 793 .
2 Deje que Cable Reel 793 se enfríe.
3 Pulse el botón de reinicio (X), Ilustración3.
4 El Cable Reel 793 está de nuevo listo para usarse.
4.6Ajuste de la tensión del muelle
Si Cable Reel 793 tiene configurada de fábrica una
tensión de muelle completa, no debe aumentarse. Sin
embargo, en caso de realizar la puesta a punto o cam-
biar algún cable, podría ser necesario ajustar la ten-
sión del muelle.

4.6.1Aumento de la tensión del muelle
1 Compruebe que Cable Reel 793 esté montado y
enrollado totalmente en el enrollador.
2 Utilice una muletilla y gire en la dirección de la fle-
cha (+), como se muestra en Ilustración2.
3 Tense el muelle una vuelta cada vez probando pro-
gresivamente la operación de enrollamiento.
¡NOTA!
No tense el muelle más de lo necesario para en-
rollar el cable hasta su posición de reposo. Com-
pruebe que el cable se puede desenrollar com-
pletamente sin estirar el muelle al máximo. Si
no, disminuya la tensión del muelle.
4.6.2Reducción de la tensión del muelle
1 Asegúrese de que el cable está montado y enrolla-
do totalmente en el enrollador.
2 Utilice una muletilla y gire en la dirección de la fle-
cha (-), como se muestra en Ilustración2.
5Mantenimiento
PRECAUCIÓN!Riesgo de daño del equipo
Utilice solo piezas de repuesto y accesorios ori-
ginales N$e$d$e$r$m$a$n$.
Se recomienda hacerlo periódicamente o al menos una
vez al año.
• Controlar que el cable esté en buen estado.
• Compruebe el funcionamiento del muelle probando
si el cable se enrolla correctamente. Ajústelo si fuera
necesario.
• Controlar el mecanismo de retención del enrollador.
• Compruebe el montaje de Cable Reel 793 en la pa-
red o en el techo.
¡ADVERTENCIA!Riesgo de lesión personal
Antes de desmontar cualquier parte de Cable
Reel 793 , como, por ejemplo, a la hora de cam-
biar el cable:
• Corte la corriente.
• Destense el muelle quitando el tope del ca-
ble y dejando que el cable se enrolle comple-
tamente.
6Piezas de repuesto

7Reciclaje
El producto se ha diseñado para reciclar los materia-
les de los componentes. Distintos tipos de materiales
deben manipularse según la normativa local aplicable.
