GigE Broadband Access
This Gigabit Ethernet WAN wireless gateway delivers the max in triple play services, power
and flexibility to your customers. Six products in one, it combines a VDSL2 modem, router, LAN
switch, 802.11n access point with NETGEAR Push ‘N Connect WiFi Protected setup, SPI double
firewall, DECT & VoIP. It gives you untethered continuous connectivity to your network resources,
the Internet, Voice and IPTV. Featuring real time QoS and high-speed 802.11n wireless
capability—up to five times faster than 802.11g—it allows your customers to stream HD video,
download large files, videoconference, and distribute and play high-definition digital movies,
photos, and MP3s in the blink of an eye. Simple to use, it plugs directly into Ethernet, a VDSL2
modem, or a Fiber ONU. An integrated switch lets customers directly connect any combination
of four wired IP devices: computers, network storage, IP STBs, Femtocells or printers. The
integrated voice features support existing DECT handsets and analog telephones. Setup couldn’t
be easier—NETGEAR’s Smart Wizard install assistant and on-screen help guide you through
each step. The Smart Wizard automatically detects and makes the best connection to your
ISP. The double firewall protects your customers against intruders, including logs and alerts of
break-in attempts, while VPN pass-through makes it safe to connect to the customers’ business
network from home.
The VVG834 product family gives you instant connectivity with or without wires, and works with
your existing 802.11g/b devices as well as your new 802.11n devices. This powerful router
distributes real time MP3s, digital movies and VoIP in addition to data traffic including Web
browsing, Network Storage access, graphics and photos with fast 10/100/1000 switched LAN
ports, and shares a single IP address with up to 253 users.
Built-in port forwarding settings, Universal Plug and Play (UPnP™) and virtual private network
(VPN) pass-through make it simple to play Internet games, stream or download video, make
phone calls and host Internet services. It supports PCs, Apple Computers, and virtually all
Ethernet devices. It comes with an Ethernet cable for connecting your first computer.
Double firewall using Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and intrusion control features Denial
of Service protection from hacker attacks, while VPN (Virtual Private Network) pass-through
permits secure access to your office or corporate network and enables you to host VPN services.
Content filtering lets you control access to your list of web sites and limit usage by time of day. It
also logs browsing activities and provides optional email alerts so you can monitor access. DMZ
support allows unrestricted access from the Internet to one computer (for hosting web services).
