Para garantizar la utilización segura de este producto, siga los
siguientes consejos:
Colocación
•No utilice este producto en condiciones de humedad, polvo, calor
o frío.
•Coloque el aparato en una superficie lisa y plana.
•No bloquee la corriente de aire a través del producto. Colóquelo
en un lugar bien ventilado. No lo cubra con tela ni lo coloque
sobre una alfombra o tapete.
Suministro eléctrico
•Antes de utilizar este aparato, asegúrese de que el voltaje
nominal coincida con el voltaje de la fuente de suministro eléctrico
a la que la conectará.
Instrucciones de seguridad
•Nunca tire del cable de alimentación cuando enchufe o
desenchufe el aparato ya que puede dañar el cable y producirse
un riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
•Desenchufe el aparato de la toma de alimentación si no va a
utilizarlo durante un periodo largo de tiempo.
•El botón de Encendido/Apagado no aísla al producto del
suministro de corriente. Para desconectar el producto de la red de
suministro eléctrico debe desenchufar el cable de alimentación.
•Este producto ha de utilizarse únicamente en posición horizontal.
Condensación
•Pueden producirse gotas de agua o condensación en una
situación de calor o humedad extrema.
•La condensación puede producir una avería del aparato.
•Deje el equipo en una habitación caldeada 1 ó 2 horas para
permitir que la condensación se evapore.
En caso de que se produzca un problema, desenchufe el cable de
alimentación y póngase en contacto con un técnico de reparación
cualificado.
Atención a la ventilación
•No bloquee nunca las aberturas de ventilación del aparato.
Advertencia sobre los líquidos
•Evite que el producto sea salpicado o mojado y nunca lo coloque
sobre un recipiente que contenga líquidos (floreros, jarras, etc.).
Advertencia sobre niveles de sonido excesivos
•Debido a la salida de sonido extremadamente baja de este
producto y al rango dinámico extendido, puede estar tentado a
subir el volumen más de lo necesario.
•Si la salida de sonido es excesivamente alta, se pueden dañar los
altavoces y auriculares del aparato. Mantenga el volumen
siempre dentro de niveles razonables.

INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE
•Este producto está diseñado para ser utilizado en condiciones climáticas moderadas. No instale o utilice esta
unidad en lugares de exposición directa al sol o altas temperaturas, cerca de un radiador, estufa o cualquier
aparato que emita calor.
•No coloque esta unidad en un cuarto de baño ni cerca de una piscina. No la utilice en lugares donde pueda estar
expuesta al agua, humedad, mojaduras y salpicaduras.
•No coloque sobre el aparato objetos que contengan líquidos, como por ejemplo jarrones.
•No coloque sobre el aparto ningún objeto con llama al aire, como por ejemplo velas encendidas.
•Si entra agua en la unidad, desenchufe el cable de alimentación de la toma de suministro y póngase en contacto
con su distribuidor.
•No toque el cable de alimentación con las manos mojadas. Para evitar riesgos de descarga eléctrica, no toque
NUNCA las piezas del interior. Cualquier reparación o servicio ha de encargarse a personal técnico cualificado.
•Cuando conecte o desconecte del suministro de red, agarre el enchufe, no el cable. Si tira del cable puede
dañarlo y crear una situación de riesgo.
•No deje caer la unidad ni que se derrame ningún líquido o caiga ningún objeto sobre ella.
•Cuando está enchufada hay una pequeña cantidad de corriente en uso. Para ahorrar energía y por razones de
seguridad se recomienda desconectar completamente el producto de la toma de red CA cuando la unidad no
vaya a ser utilizada durante un periodo largo.
•Póngase en contacto con su distribuidor más cercano en caso de que el cable presente alguna anomalía o fallo
de conexión o contacto.
•No doble, retuerza o tire del cable con fuerza.
•No realice ninguna modificación de ningún tipo en el cable de alimentación.
•No introduzca ningún objeto metálico en la unidad.
•En caso de posible tormenta eléctrica desenchufe el cable de alimentación.
•El enchufe de suministro de red sirve como dispositivo de desconexión. Debe mantenerse fácilmente manejable
y no obstruirse mientras se esté utilizando.
•Para desconectar completamente el aparato de la red de suministro, el enchufe de suministro ha de
desconectarse completamente de la toma de corriente.
•En caso de avería debida a una descarga electroestática, vuelva a encender el aparato (necesitará volver a
conectarse a la fuente de alimentación) para continuar con su funcionamiento normal.
COLOCACIÓN DE LA UNIDAD
•Debe dejarse una distancia mínima de unos 15 centímetros para proporcionar la ventilación suficiente.
•No coloque el aparato en armarios o estanterías cerradas sin ventilación adecuada.
•Permita que el producto esté ventilado adecuadamente. No deben obstruirse las aberturas de ventilación con
periódicos, manteles, cortinas etc.
•No lo coloque ni lo instale sobre una alfombra gruesa o en un lugar sin una corriente de aire adecuada. Coloque
la unidad en una superficie lisa y estable.
•No utilice la unidad en condiciones de frío o calor extremos, polvo o lugares mojados o húmedos.
•Puede formarse condensación en el interior del reproductor de CD si se deja la unidad en un lugar cálido y
húmedo o si la pasa de un lugar frío a una habitación donde haga más calor. En estos casos, deje reposar la
unidad entre 1 y 2 horas o aumente gradualmente la temperatura de la habitación de manera que la unidad esté
seca antes de volver a utilizarla.

•No la coloque en lugares en los que pueda estar sometida a vibración.
•No la coloque en lugares donde pueda ser magnetizada por un imán o un altavoz. En presencia de imanes no
coloque cintas de casete ya que podrían borrarse los datos grabados.
•Si se utiliza esta unidad cerca de una televisión, podría distorsionar la imagen de la televisión. En este caso
coloque la unidad lejos de la televisión. Si esto no soluciona el problema, evite utilizar la unidad cuando la
televisión esté encendida.
•Mantenga cerrada la tapa del CD para evitar que entre polvo en la lente. No toque la lente.
•Las pilas no deben exponerse a calor excesivo como el de los rayos de sol, fuego o similares.
•Aviso: Un sonido excesivamente alto en auriculares o cascos puede producir pérdida de capacidad auditiva.
•A la hora de deshacerse de las pilas deben tenerse en cuenta las indicaciones medioambientales.
MECANISMO DE SEGURIDAD
•Esta unidad lleva incorporado un mecanismo de seguridad que activa y desactiva el rayo láser de manera que
cuando se abre el compartimento del disco el rayo láser para automáticamente.
PRECUACIÓN
•Hay riesgo de que las pilas exploten si no se han colocado correctamente. Remplácelas únicamente con otras
iguales o del mismo tipo.

SUMINISTRO DE ALIMENTACIÓN ELÉCTRICA
Si lo desea, puede utilizar el suministro de alimentación eléctrica para ahorrar pilas. Asegúrese de que la
unidad esté desenchufada de la toma de pared antes de introducir las pilas.
UTILIZACIÓN DEL SUMINISTRO DE CORRIENTE CC
Pilas (no incluidas)
Abra el compartimento de las pilas e introduzca 6 pilas R14 siguiendo las indicaciones de polaridad “+” y “-”
del compartimento.
Avisos relativos al uso de las pilas
Las pilas deben insertarse de manera que coincidan las polaridades. Asegúrese de que los extremos (+) y
(-) estén colocados en la dirección correcta.
No utilice nunca pilas que muestren signos de derrame electrólito o grietas.
No arroje las pilas al fuego.
Mantenga las pilas fuera del alcance de los niños.
No recargue nunca pilas desechables.
No cortocircuite los terminales de las pilas.
Retire las pilas usadas del compartimento del aparato.
No trate de abrir las pilas.
No mezcle diferentes tipos de pilas o pilas nuevas con pilas usadas.
Utilice únicamente pilas del tipo recomendado o semejantes.
Retire las pilas del aparato antes de deshacerse de él porque haya dejado de funcionar.
Importante:
Cuando cambie las pilas, asegúrese de deshacerse de las viejas de acuerdo a las normas que se apliquen
en su comunidad. Deben tirarse en un lugar especialmente designado para tal propósito de manera que
puedan ser recicladas de manera segura y sin ningún riesgo para el medioambiente. No las queme ni las
entierre.
•Aviso: un volumen de sonido excesivo en auriculares o altavoces puede producir pérdida de
capacidad auditiva.
UTILIZACIÓN DEL SUMINISTRO DE CORRIENTE CA
1. Asegúrese de que el voltaje indicado en la placa con inscripción del fabricante del compartimento
de las pilas corresponda con el voltaje suministrado por su instalación eléctrica. Si no coincidiera,
consulte con su distribuidor o centro de servicio técnico.
2. Conecte el cable de alimentación eléctrica a la unidad y luego enchúfelo a la toma de pared. La
toma de pared debe estar situada cerca del producto y ser fácilmente accesible.
3. Para apagar el aparato, desenchufe el cable de alimentación eléctrica de la toma de la pared.
4. Para proteger la unidad en caso de tormenta eléctrica, desenchufe el cable de alimentación
eléctrica de la toma de la pared.

FUNCIONAMIENTO GENERAL
1. Seleccione la fuente estableciendo el SELECTOR DE FUNCIÓN en AM, FM ST, APAGADO o
CD/MP3.
2. Establezca el nivel de volumen deseado con el CONTROL DE VOLUMEN.
3. Para apagar la unidad, coloque el SELECTOR DE FUNCIÓN en APAGADO.
RECEPCIÓN DE LA RADIO
1. Ajuste el SELECTOR DE FUNCIÓN en AM o FM ST.
2. Gire el CONTROL DE SINTONIZACIÓN para buscar la emisora deseada.
NOTA: El indicador de FM estéreo se activa si el SELECTOR DE BANDA está establecido en FM estéreo
y ha sintonizado una emisora de FM estéreo.
3. Ajuste el CONTROL DE VOLUMEN en el nivel de volumen deseado.
4. Cuando acabe de escuchar la radio, coloque el SELECTOR DE FUNCIÓN en APAGADO para apagar
la unidad.
Indicaciones de utilidad:
Para mejorar la recepción de la radio
•Para escuchar radio en FM, despliegue la antena telescópica y oriéntela para una mejor recepción.
Reduzca la largura de la antena si la señal es demasiado fuerte (si está cerca de un transmisor, por
ejemplo).
•Como la unidad dispone de una antena incorporada, no es necesario utilizar la antena telescópica
para escuchar emisoras en AM. Mueva toda la unidad para orientar la antena incorporada.
CLAVIJA DE AURICULARES ESTÉREO
Conecte auriculares estéreo (no incluidos) equipados con una mini clavija de 3,5 mm en la clavija de
AURICULARES para poder escuchar usted solo sin molestar a las personas a su alrededor.
Reduzca el VOLUMEN a un nivel bajo antes de ponerse los auriculares. Puede ajustar entonces el
VOLUMEN de manera progresiva hasta llegar a un nivel que le resulte cómodo.
Atención: Los altavoces no emitirán sonido cuando se conecten los auriculares al equipo.

FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL REPRODUCTOR DE CD/MP3
El reproductor de CD es compatible con discos de audio CD-R, CD-RW y archivos MP3. No es posible reproducir en
este equipo CD-ROM, CDi, CDV, VCD, DVD o CD para ordenador.
Nota: Aunque este reproductor portátil de radio y CD puede leer discos CD-R y CD-RW, además de discos compactos
convencionales, no podemos ofrecer un 100% de garantías de que todos los discos CD-R/RW puedan leerse. La
reproducción depender de la calidad y las condiciones de los discos vírgenes que utilice, entre otras cosas. El hecho de
que no se pueda reproducir un disco, no indica necesariamente que la unidad no esté funcionando correctamente.
IMPORTANTE: Los CD codificados con tecnología de protección de copyright de algunas compañías discográficas
podrían no reproducirse en este aparato.
1. Ajuste el SELECTOR DE FUNCIÓN en CD/MP3.
2. Para abrir la puerta del CD, levántela por la esquina indicada con ABRIR/CERRAR.
3. Introduzca un CD con la cara impresa hacia arriba y empuje suavemente la puerta del CD para cerrarla.
(Se visualiza - – y posteriormente el número total de pistas)
4. Inicie la reproducción pulsando REPRODUCIR/PAUSA.
5. Pulse REPRODUCIR/PAUSA para interrumpir o reanudar la reproducción.
6. Para detener la reproducción del CD, pulse DETENER.
NOTA: La reproducción del CD se detiene automáticamente cuando:
•Se abre el compartimento de CD.
•Se seleccionar la función de radio.
•Se acaba el CD.
SELECCIÓN DE UNA PISTA DIFERENTE
•Pulse SIGUIENTE o ATRÁS una vez o varias veces hasta que aparezca en el visor el número de la pista
deseada.
•En la posición de parada o pausa, pulse REPRODUCIR/PAUSA para iniciar la reproducción.
BÚSQUEDA DE UN FRAGEMENTO DE UNA PISTA
1. Pulse y mantenga pulsado ATRÁS o SIGUIENTE durante la reproducción. (El CD se reproduce a velocidad rápida
y a volumen bajo.)
2. Cuando reconozca el fragmento que desea, libere ATRÁS o SIGUIENTE. (Se reanuda la reproducción normal.)
NOTA: Cuando en el proceso de búsqueda llega al final de la última pista, el CD pasa a la modalidad de parada.
REPETIR
Repetir: reproduce la pista actual de manera continua.
Repetir todo: reproduce todo el CD de manera continua.
PROGRAMACIÓN DE NÚMEROS DE PISTAS
Puede almacenar hasta 20 pistas (en modalidad CD) ó 99 pistas (en modalidad MP3) en la secuencia deseada.
Puede, si lo desea, almacenar cualquier pista más de una vez.
1. En la modalidad PARAR, pulse PROG para activar la programación. (En el visor se muestra: PROG y “P01”
parpadeando.)
2. Pulse ATRÁS o SIGUIENTE para seleccionar la pista deseada. (En el visor se muestra: PROG y el número de pista
deseada parpadeando.)
3. Pulse PROG para almacenar el número de pista deseado. (En el visor se muestra: PROG y “P01” parpadeando
para que pueda programar la siguiente pista.)
4. Repita los pasos 2 a 3 para seleccionar y almacenar de esta manera todas las pistas deseadas.
5. Para reproducir su programación, pulse REPRODUCIR/PAUSA. (En el visor se muestra: PROG parpadeando
durante la reproducción del programa.)
NOTA: Si trata de almacenar más de 20 pistas, no podrá seleccionar ninguna pista y el visor mostrará CD LLENO o
MP3 LLENO parpadeando.
COMPROBACIÓN DEL PROGRAMA
En la modalidad PARAR, pulse PROG varias veces para ver el número de las pistas almacenadas.
ELIMINACIÓN DE UN PROGRAMA
Lleve a cabo las siguientes operaciones para borrar la memoria:
•Abra la puerta del CD;
•Seleccione la fuente RADIO;
•Pulse DETENER una vez.

INFORMACIÓN DE SEGURIDAD
•Coloque la unidad en una superficie plana, sólida y estable de manera que no pueda volcar.
•No exponga la unidad, las pilas ni los CD a la humedad, lluvia, arena o calor excesivo producido por el
calentamiento del equipo o los rayos directos del sol.
•Evite que el aparato se moje o sea salpicado.
•Mantenga un espacio de ventilación de 15 cm como mínimo entre los orificios de ventilación la
superficie de alrededor para evitar acumulación de calor.
•No cubra las aberturas de ventilación con elementos tales como periódicos, manteles, cortinas, etc.,
ya que pueden impedir una correcta ventilación.
•No coloque sobre el aparato objetos que contengan líquidos, tales como jarrones,
•No coloque sobre el aparato objetos con llama, tales como velas encendidas.
•Las piezas mecánicas del equipo contienen rodamientos auto-lubricantes por lo que no deben
engrasarse o lubricarse.
•Utilice un paño seco para limpiar el aparato. No utilice productos de limpieza que contengan alcohol,
amoniaco, benceno o abrasivos ya que pueden dañar la carcasa.
LIMPIEZA DE LOS CD
•Utilice un paño suave para limpiar las huellas o el polvo de la superficie del disco.
•Limpie en línea recta desde el centro hasta la parte exterior del disco. Las pequeñas partículas de
polvo y las pequeñas manchas no afectan en absoluto a la calidad de sonido reproducción.
•No utilice nunca productos químicos, como espráis para discos convencionales (vinilo), espráis
antiestáticos, bencina o disolventes, para limpiar el CD.
•Para reducir el riesgo de arañazos, guarde el CD de nuevo en su caja cuando no lo esté utilizando.
•No exponga los CD a los rayos directos del sol, ni a humedad o temperaturas altas durante mucho
tiempo.
•No pegue etiquetas ni escriba nada en ninguna cara del CD.
LIMPIEZA DE LA LENTE
Si la lente está sucia hace que el sonido salte y que el CD no pueda leerse correctamente. Abra la tapa
del CD y limpie la lente de la siguiente manera:
•Desenchufe el cable de alimentación.
•Partículas secas o de polvo:
Utilice un cepillo o una perilla para las lentes de las cámaras y eche aire sobre la lente varias veces.
Luego pase el cepillo suavemente para quitar el polvo. A continuación vuelva a echar aire sobre la
lente.
•Huellas dactilares:
Si no puede limpiar la lente con un cepillo o una perilla, límpiela con algodón seco frotando
suavemente desde el centro hasta la parte externa.

RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Si se produce algún fallo, consulte en primer lugar los puntos de la lista a continuación antes de llevar a reparar el
aparato.
Si no puede solucionar el problema siguiendo las indicaciones dadas a continuación, consulte con su proveedor o con
el servicio técnico.
AVISO: No abra la unidad ya que existe riesgo de descarga eléctrica. No trate bajo ninguna circunstancia de reparar
usted mismo el aparato, ya que si lo hace la garantía quedará invalidada.
Problema

No hay sonido/no se enciende
● No se ha ajustado el volumen.

● El cable de alimentación no está conectado de manera segura.
■ Compruebe que el cable de alimentación CA es el adecuado.

● El CD contiene archivos que no son de audio.
■ Pulse ATRÁS o SIGUIENTE una o más veces para saltar a una
pista de audio de CD en lugar de un archivo de datos.
El visor no funciona adecuadamente/No hay reacción al tratar
de activar ninguno de los controles
● Descarga electrostática.
■ Apague y desenchufe el aparato. Vuélvalo a conectar después
de unos segundos.
El CD salta pistas
● El CD está dañado o sucio.
■ Sustituya o limpie el CD.
● El programa está activo.
■ Salga de la modalidad programa.
Notas:
Asegúrese de que el CD no está codificado con
tecnología de protección de Copyright, ya que de ser
así pueden no cumplir con el estándar de los discos
compactos.

disco de Audio CD adecuado.
Información medioambiental
Se ha prescindido de todo material de embalaje innecesario. El embalaje puede separarse fácilmente en tres tipos de
material: cartón, poliestireno y plástico.
Este aparato está formado por materiales que pueden ser reciclados si es desmontado por una empresa especializada.
Siga las regulaciones locales respecto a la eliminación del embalaje, las pilas gastadas y el equipo antiguo.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This product is designed for use in moderate climate. Do not use or install this unit where it would be
exposed to direct sunlight or in extremely hot temperatures, or near a radiator, stove or appliance that
produces heat.
Do not take this unit into the bathroom, or near a swimming pool. Do not use it where it would be exposed to
water, moisture, dripping or splashing.
No objects filled with liquids, such as vases, placed on the product.
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candies on the product.
If water gets inside the unit, Unplug the power cord from the supply socket and consult your dealer.
Do not handle the power cord with wet hands. To avoid electric shock, NEVER touch any internal parts.
Repairs/servicing should be left to qualified service personnel.
When connecting or disconnecting from the mains supply, hold the plug but not the cord. Pulling the cord
may damage it and is dangerous.
Do not drop the unit, spill liquid into it or allow objects to fall in it.
When plugged in, a very small current will flow. To save electricity and for safe, it is recommended that the
product is completely disconnected with the AC mains socket after the unit not used for a long time.

Unplug the power cord when there is the possibility of lighting.
Mains plug is used as the disconnecting device. It shall remain readily operable and should not be
obstructed during intended used.
To be completely disconnected the apparatus from supply mains, the mains plug of the apparatus
shall be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.
In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge, just reset the product reconnect of power source
may be required to resume normal operation.
POSITIONING THE UNIT
A minimum distance of 6 INCHES must be kept to provide sufficient ventilation.
Do not place the product in closed bookcases or racks without proper ventilation.
Allow adequate ventilation for the unit ventilation. It should not be impeded by covering the ventilation
openings with items such as newspapers, table cloths, curtains etc .
Do not stand it on a thick pile carpet, install it in a thick pile carpet, or install it in a place with inadequate air
flow. Place the unit on a flat even surface.
Do not use the unit in excessively hot, cold, dusty, damp or humid place.
Condensation may form inside the CD player if the unit is left anywhere warm and damp, or if you move the
unit from somewhere cold to a warm room. In this case, let the unit stand for 1-2 hours or gradually increase
the room temperature that the unit will be dry before use.

Do not place it where it could be subject to vibration.
Do not place it where it could be magnetised by a magnet or speaker. Since there are magnets, do not place
tapes as recorded data could be erased.
When this unit is used near a TV, the TV picture could be distorted. If this happens, move the unit away form
the TV. If the situation could not be solved, avoid using the unit when the TV is turned on.
Keep the CD door closed so the lens is not contaminated by dust. Do not touch the lens.
Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
Warning: excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.
Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
SAFETY MECHANISM
This unit incorporates a safety interlock mechanism that switches the laser beam on and off, when the disc
holder is open, the laser baser beam stops automatically.

POWER SUPPLY
If you would like, the electrical power supply can be used to save the batteries. Make sure that the unit is
unplugged from the wall outlet before inserting the batteries.
USING THE DC POWER SUPPLY
Batteries (not included)
Open the battery compartment and insert 6 R14 batteries with respect to the "+" and "-" polarity indications
in the compartment.
Warnings relating to the use of batteries
Batteries must be inserted taking care to match the polarities shown. Make sure that the (+) and (-)
terminals are placed in the right direction.
Never use batteries that show signs of electrolyte leaks or cracking.
Never dispose of used batteries in an open fire.
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Never recharge disposable batteries.
Never short circuit battery terminals.
Always remove used batteries from the appliance case.
Do not try to open the batteries.
Do not mix up different kind of batteries or new and already used batteries together.
Only use batteries of the recommended or equivalent type.
Remove batteries from the appliance before disposing of it at the end of its service life.
Important:
When replacing the batteries, make sure you dispose of the old batteries in accordance with applicable
regulations. They should be disposed of in a location specifically designated for that purpose so they can
be recycled safely and without posing any risk for the environment. Do not burn or bury them.

USING THE AC POWER SUPPLY
1. Make sure that the voltage indicated on the manufacturer's nameplate in the battery compartment
corresponds to the voltage supplied by your electrical installation. If this is not the case, consult your
dealer or service center.
2. Connect the electrical power cable the unit then plug it into the wall outlet. The wall outlet must be
located near the product and be easily accessible.
3. To turn power to the apparatus off, unplug the power supply cable from the wall outlet.
4. To protect the unit during violent thunderstorms, unplug the power supply cable from the wall outlet.

GENERAL OPERATION
GENERAL OPERATION
1. Select the source by setting the FUNCTION SELECTOR to AM, FM ST., OFF or CD/MP3.
2. Set the desired volume level using the VOLUME CONTROL.
3. To turn off the unit, set the FUNCTION SELECTOR to OFF.
RADIO RECEPTION
1. Adjust FUNCTION SELECTOR to AM or FM ST..
2. Turn the TUNING KNOB to search for the desired station.
NOTE: The FM stereo indicator comes on if the BAND SELECTOR is set on FM stereo and you have tuned
the radio to an FM stereo station.
4. Adjust VOLUME CONTROL for the desired volume level.
5. When you have finished listening to the radio, position the FUNCTION SELECTOR to OFF to turn the
unit off.
Helpful hints:
To improve radio reception
To listen to the FM radio, extend the telescopic antenna and orient it for optimum reception. Reduce
the length of the antenna if the signal is too strong (if you are very near the transmitter, for example).
As the unit is equipped with a built-in antenna, the telescopic antenna does not have to be used to
listen to AM stations. Move the entire unit to orient the built-in antenna.
STEREO HEADPHONE JACK
Plug stereo headphones (not included), equipped with a 3.5mm mini-plug, into the PHONES jack for private
listening, without disturbing those around you.
Reduce the VOLUME to a low level before putting on the headphones. You can then adjust the VOLUME
progressively to a comfortable level.
Noted: The speakers will be muted when headphones are connected to the set.

MAINTENANCE & SAFETY
SAFETY INFORMATION
Place the unit on a hard, flat and stable surface so that the system does not tilt.
Do not expose the unit, batteries, CDs to humidity, rain, sand or excessive heat caused by heating
equipment or direct sunlight.
Do not expose the apparatus to dripping or splashing.
Adequate ventilation with a minimum gap of 15cm between the ventilation holes and surrounding
surfaces is necessary to prevent heat build-up.
The ventilation should be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as
newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc...
No objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
The mechanical parts of the set contain self-lubricating bearings and must not be oiled or lubricated.
To clean the set, use a dry cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia,
benzene or abrasives as these may harm the housing.
CLEANING CDs
Use a soft and clean cloth to wipe away fingerprints or dust from the surface of the disc.
Wipe in a straight motion from the center to the edge. Very small dust particles and slight smudges
have absolutely no effect on the sound quality.
Never use chemical products such as sprays for conventional (vinyl) records, anti-static aerosols,
benzene or thinners to clean your CDs.
To reduce the risk of scratches, always store CDs in their case when not used.
Do not expose CDs to direct sunlight, high humidity or excessively high temperatures for long periods
of time.
Never write or affix labels to the CD's surfaces.
CLEANING THE LENS
If the lens is dirty, the sound may skip and the CD may not be read correctly. Open the CD door and clean
the lens as follows:
Unplug the power cord.
Dust or dry particles:
Blow on the lens several times using a camera lens brush, then wipe it gently with the brush to remove
the dust. Then blow again on the lens.
Fingerprints:
If you are unable to clean the lens with the camera lens brush, use a dry cotton swab to clean the
surface, from the center to the outside.
CD/MP3 PLAYER OPERATION
This CD player plays Audio Discs including CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 files. CD ROMs, CDi, CDV, VCD, DVD
or computer CDs are not possible for playback on this set.
Note: Even if this portable radio-CD player is able to read CD-R and CD-RW discs, in addition to
conventional compact discs, it is not possible to offer a 100% guarantee that all CD-R/RW discs can be
read; playback depends on the quality and condition of the blank discs that you use, among other things. A
playback failure does not necessarily indicate that the unit is malfunctioning.
IMPORTANT: CDs encoded with copyright protection technologies by some record companies may be
unplayable by this product.
1. Adjust FUNCTION SELECTOR to CD/MP3.
2. To open the CD door, raise it by the corner marked OPEN/CLOSE.
3. Insert a CD with the printed side facing up and press the CD door gently to close.
(Display shows - – and later the total number of tracks)
4. Start playback by pressing PLAY/PAUSE.
5. Press PLAY/PAUSE to interrupt or resume playback.
6. To stop CD playback, press STOP.
NOTE: CD playback stops automatically when:
the CD compartment is opened;
the RADIO function is selected;
the CD is finished.
SELECTING A DIFFERENT TRACK
Press NEXT or BACK once or repeatedly until the desired track number appears in the display.
In the stop/pause position, press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback.
SEARCHING FOR A PASSAGE ON A TRACK
1. During playback, press and hold down BACK or NEXT. (The CD is played at high speed and low volume.)
2. When you recognize the passage you want release BACK or NEXT. (Normal playback resumes.)
NOTE: When your searching reaches the end of the last track, the CD goes to stop mode.
REPEAT
Repeat: playback of the current track continuously.
Repeat All: playback of the entire CD continuously.
PROGRAMMING OF TRACK NUMBERSYou may store up to 20 tracks (in CD mode)or 99 tracks(in
MP3/USB mode) the desired sequence. If you like, store any track more than once.
1. In STOP mode, press PROG to activate programming. (Display: PROG and “P01” flash.)
2. Press BACK or NEXT to select your desired track. (Display: PROG and your desired track number flash.)
3. Press PROG to store the desired track number. (Display: PROG and “P01” flash for you to program the
next track.)
4. Repeat stop 2 to 3 to select and store all desired tracks in this way.
5. To play your program, press PLAY/PAUSE. (Display: PROG flash during program playback.)
NOTE: If you try to store more than 20 tracks, no track can be selected and the display will show flashing CD
FUL or MP3/USB FUL.
PROGRAM CHECK
In STOP mode, press the PROG repeatedly to see your stored track numbers.
DELETING A PROGRAM
Perform the following operations to delete the memory:
open the CD door;
select the RADIO source;
press STOP once.

materials: cardboard, polystyrene and plastic.
Your set consists of materials which can be recycled if disassembled by a specialized company.
