INTENDEDUSEOFYOURTRACTOR
Yourtractorisdesignedandmadetopull,tocarry,andto
poweravarietyofmountedortowedequipment,although
withinsomephysicallimits.Theworkingspeedandper-
formancemaydependonanumberofvariousparame-
ters,suchasweatherandterrainconditions.Thoughthe
tractorisdesignedtoperformincombinationwithavari-
etyofequipmentinmostcropsandconditions,theremay
beanumberofcombinationsofaboveparameters,for
whichthereisseveredegradationofperformanceofthe
tractorand/oritsmountedortrailedequipment.Ifyouno-
ticedegradationofperformance,contactyourdealerfor
assistance.Hemayhaveusefulinformationforimprove-
ments,orakitmaybeavailabletoenhancetheperfor-
mance.
•Donotusethetractorforanotherpurposethanin-
tendedbythemanufacturerandoutlinedinthisman-
ual.
•Donotusethetractorbeyonditslimitsofterraingradi-
entandstabilityasoutlinedfurtherinthismanual.Us-
ingthetractorbeyondtheselimitsmayresultinroll-over
ortip-over.Observetherecommendationsinthisman-

bridgeoors.Theseconstructionsmaycollapseand
causeroll-overofthetractor.Alwayscheckoutthe
conditionandcarryingcapacityofbridgesandramps
priortoengage.
•Donotusethetractorwithoutwearingtheseatrestraint
systemduringactivitieswhereroll-overortip-overhaz-
ardsexist.TheROPScaborROPSstructurewillonly
befullyeffectivewhenthedriverremainsattachedto
hisseat.
•Donotuseequipmentmountedonthetractorwhich
isnotcorrectlymatchingandrmlyxed.Suchequip-
mentmayincreasetheriskforroll-overandhitthetrac-
torwhencomingloose.Ensurethatthedimensions
ofthethree-pointlinkageinterfaceofboththetractor
andtheequipmentarematchingaccordingtothecate-
goriesdenedinISO730.Ensurethatthedimensions
andspeedofthePTOshaftonthetractorsarematch-
ingthoseoftheequipment.
•Donotusethetractorincombinationwithequipment,
withouthavingconsultedthespecicOperatorsManual
providedwiththeequipment.Thetractorisauniversal
tooltocarry,tow,anddriveavarietyofequipment.This
manualalonecannotprovideyouwithalltheinforma-
tionrequiredforthesafeoperationofthecombination.
•Donotusethetractorbeyonditslimitsofdynamicsta-
bility.Highspeed,abruptmaneuvers,andfastand
shortcorneringwillincreasetheriskofroll-over.
•Donotusethetractorforpullingwork,incaseswhere
youdonotknowwhethertheloadwillyield,forinstance
whenpullingstumps.Thetractormayipoverwhen
thestumpisnotyielding.
•Beextremelycautiouswhenworkingwiththetractoron
foragesiloswithoutlateralconcretewalls.Dualwheels
orawidetracksettingmayimprovethelateralstability
ofthetractor.
•Becautiousthatthecenterofgravityofthetractormay
increasewhenloadsonthefront-endloaderorthe
three-pointlinkageareraised.Intheseconditions,the
tractormayroll-overearlierthanexpected.
•Donotstepdownfromthetractorwithoutshuttingdown
thePTO,shiftingthetransmissiontoparkorneutraland
applyingtheparkbrake,unlesscontinuedPTOopera-
tionisrequiredforsomeequipment,suchaspumps
orwoodchippers.Thelatterequipmentmayhavean
emergencystopdeviceontheequipmentitself,ashu-
maninterventionisneededduringoperation.Butother
equipment,engagedanddrivenbythetractorwillhave
nomeanstostopthepowertransmission,otherthan
thePTOclutchofthetractor.
•Youshalltakethenecessaryprecautionstoalwaysbe
awareofthepossiblepresenceofbystanders,certainly
whenmaneuveringinconnedareas,suchasthefarm
yardandsheds.Keeppeopleawayfromthetractor
duringwork;askbystanderstoleavetheeld.There
isnotonlytherisktobeoverrunbythetractor,butob-
jectsejectedbysomeequipmentmountedonthetrac-
tor,suchasarotarymower,maycauseharm.Stones
maybethrownfurtherthanthemowedcrop.Paythe
necessaryattentionwhileoperatingnexttopublicroads
orfootpaths.Thrownobjectscangetprojectedout-
sidetheeldandhitunprotectedpeoplelikebikersor
pedestrians.Waittocuttheedgeoftheeldtillitis
clearofbystanders.
•Donotallowridersonthetractor;donotallowpeople
standingontheaccesswayorsteptothecabwhen
thetractorismoving.Yourviewtotheleftwillbeob-
structedandariderriskstofallfromthetractorduring
unforeseenorabruptmovements.
•Alwaysstayclearfromimplementsoperatingareaand
especiallydonotstandbetweentractorandtrailedve-
hicleeitherthree-pointlinkagewhenoperatingliftcon-
trols;ensurenobystandersareneartheseoperating
areas.
•Certainfunctionsofyourtractor,ifequippedwithaCVT
transmission,arecontrolledbysoftwareandsomeof
themaresafetyrelated.Donotattempttomodifyor
downloadsoftwarefromspurioussources.Settings

andlogicsmaybedestroyedandaffectseriouslythe
functionofthetractor.Thismayresultinunpredictable
andunsafebehaviorofthetractor.Onlyyourdealeris
entitledtointerveneonthesoftwareofthetractor.He
hastheappropriatetoolsanddatasetsforitandowns
theofciallyreleasedsoftwareversionsandupdatesfor
yourtractor.
•Yourtractormaybeequippedwithanumberofsensors
tocontrolsafetyfunctions.Trippingthesesensorswill
resultinasafeoperationmode.Donotattempttoby-
passanyfunctiononthetractor.Youwillbeexposed
toserioushazards,andmoreover,thebehaviorofthe
tractormaybecomeunpredictable.
•Atractorhasonlyoneoperatorstationandisaoneman
operatedvehicle.Otherpeopleonoraroundthetractor
duringnormaloperationarenotallowed.
•Themachineisdesignedandproducedexclusivelyfor
agriculturaluse.
•Themachineisnotdesignedforlight/heavyforestryap-
plications;usageisprohibitedforforestryapplications.
•Allotherusewillbeconsideredtobecontrarytotheuse
speciedbyCNHIndustrialAmericaLLCwhocannot
beheldliablefordamagetopropertyorthemachine,
orforpersonalinjurieswhichmayresult.
•Personswhoriskimproperusewillthereforeassume
theresponsibilityforanyconsequencesarisingfrom
suchuse.
•Compliancewiththeinstructionsforuse,maintenance
andrepairsdescribedinthismanual,aretheessential

tomaintainqualityandconsistencyofthefuel.

Electro-MagneticCompatibility(EMC)
Interferencemayariseasaresultofadd‐onequipmentthatmaynotnecessarilymeettherequiredstandards.As
suchinterferencecanresultinseriousmalfunctionoftheunitand/orcreateunsafesituations,youmustobserve
thefollowing:
•Themaximumpowerofemissionequipment(radio,telephones,etc.)mustnotexceedthelimitsimposedbythe
nationalauthoritiesofthecountrywhereyouusethemachine
•Theelectro‐magneticeldgeneratedbytheadd‐onsystemshouldnotexceed24V/matanytimeandatanylo-
cationintheproximityofelectroniccomponents
•Theadd‐onequipmentmustnotinterferewiththefunctioningoftheonboardelectronics
FailuretocomplywiththeseruleswillrendertheNEWHOLLANDwarrantynullandvoid.
