U.S.EPAandCaliforniaEmissionsControlWarrantyStatement
NEWHOLLANDwarrantstotheultimatepurchaserandeachsubsequentpurchaserthattheengineisdesigned,
builtandequippedsoastoconformwithU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgencyregulationsapplicableatthe
timeofmanufactureandthatitisfreefromdefectsinworkmanshipormaterialwhichwouldcauseitnottomeet
theseregulationsforaperiodof:
•2yearsor1,500hoursofoperation,whicheveroccursrst,forengineslessthan19kW/25HP
•5yearsor3,000hoursofoperation,whicheveroccursrst,forenginesgreaterthanorequalto19kW/25HP
NOTE:ThiswarrantyappliestoallunitsoperatedintheUnitedStatesorCanada.
Coverage
Themodelyear,classofdieselengine,andemissionapplicationdeterminationforyourengineareidentiedonthe
EmissionControlInformationLabel.Thislabelisafxedtooneofthefollowingareasoftheengine:thetopofen-
gine'srockerarmcover,theright-handsideoftheoilpan,andtheright-handsideoftheenginefrontgearcover.
Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatethenewequipmentissoldtotherstretailpurchaser.Thepresenceofthe
emissioncontrollabelistheindicationthattheengineconformstotheapplicablestandards.Anyemissioncontrol
systempartswhichareprovendefectiveduringnormalusewillberepairedorreplacedduringthewarrantyperiod.
TheengineownerhasresponsibilitytoperformalltherequiredmaintenancelistedintheOwner'sManual.NEW
HOLLANDwillnotdenyanemissionwarrantyclaimsolelybecausenorecordofmaintenanceexists;however,a
claimmaybedeniediffailuretoperformmaintenanceresultedinthefailureofawarrantedpart.
ItisrecommendedthatreplacementpartsusedformaintenanceorrepairsbeNEWHOLLANDServicePartstomain-
tainthequalityoriginallydesignedintoyouremissioncertiedengine.Theuseofnon-NEWHOLLANDpartsdoes
notinvalidatethewarrantyonothercomponentsunlesstheuseofsuchpartscausesdamagetowarrantedparts.
Themanufacturerisliablefordamagestootherenginecomponentscausedbythefailureofanywarrantedemission
controlsystempart.NEWHOLLANDisnotresponsibleforfailuresresultingfromimproperrepairortheuseofparts

up,orshutdownpractices,incorrectfuelorcontaminatedfuel,oilorotheruids.
•Normalmaintenanceservices,suchasenginetune-ups,enginefuelsystemcleaning,checks,adjustments,shim-
ming,etc.
•Itemsreplacedduetocustomerdemand.
•Laborchargesperformedbyanyoneexceptadealerauthorizedbycontracttorepairtheequipment,unlessthey
qualifyunderspecialprovisions(i.e.outsidelabor).
•Anyandalltravelcostsforitemssuchastowing,servicecalls,ortransportingaunittoandfromtheplacewhere
thewarrantyserviceisperformed.
•Normalmaintenancecosts,includingbutnotlimitedto:lubricants,coolants,uids,fuel,lters,andassociatedlabor.
Lubricants,lters,andcoolantsmayqualifyforwarrantyreimbursementiftheyrequirereplacementasaDIRECT
RESULTofadefectinmaterialorworkmanship.
•Claimsinvolvingtheinspectionorreconditioningofunitsafterstorageorprioruse.
•RepairsarisingfromserviceperformedbyagentsnotapprovedbyNEWHOLLAND.
•Repairsarisingfromanyunauthorizedmodicationtotheproductortheuseofnon-NEWHOLLANDparts,imple-
mentsorattachments.
•Removal,replacement,orinstallationofnon-NEWHOLLANDoptionalequipment,attachmentsorcomponents.
•Premiumschargedforovertimelaborcostsoroutofshopexpenses.
•Economiclossincludinglostprots,croploss,equipmentrental,orotherexpense.
•Unauthorizedmodicationorupdatingmachineswithoutawarrantablefailure.
•Anyandallcostsofdealershopsuppliesincurredwithrepairs,includingbutnotlimitedto:solvents,cleaners,
anti-seizelubricants,loctite,sealant,adhesive,oil-dry,shoptowels,etc.
•Failureofthemachine,itsimplementsorattachmentscausedbyimpropereldapplicationorloading.
•Anyandallcostsforcoolant,fuel,orlube(oil)analysisincludingsuppliesandlabrecommendations.
•Costassociatedwithcleaningofmachineinpreparationforservicing.

Interferencemayariseasaresultofadd-onequipmentwhichmaynotnecessarilymeettherequiredstandards.As
suchinterferencecanresultinseriousmalfunctionoftheunitand/orcreateunsafesituations,youmustobservethe
following:
•Themaximumpowerofemissionequipment(radio,telephones,etc.)mustnotexceedthelimitsimposedbythe
nationalauthoritiesofthecountrywhereyouusethemachine.
•Theelectro-magneticeldgeneratedbytheadd-onsystemshouldnotexceed24   
 V/matanytimeandatanylo-
cationintheproximityofelectroniccomponents.
•Theadd-onequipmentmustnotinterferewiththefunctioningoftheonboardelectronics.
FailuretocomplywiththeseruleswillrendertheNEWHOLLANDwarrantynullandvoid.

Thismanualprovidesinformationontheintendeduseof
yourtractorundertheconditionsforeseenbytheman-
ufacturerduringnormaloperation,routineserviceand
maintenanceandperiodicserviceandmaintenance.
Normaloperationisuseofthetractorforthepurposein-
tendedbythemanufacturerbyanowner/operatorwhois
familiarwiththetractorandthemountedortowedequip-
ment,andwhoiscomplyingwiththeinformationonoper-
ationandsafepractices,providedinthismanualandby
thedecalsonthetractorandtheequipment.
Normaloperationincludessuchactionsaspreparingthe
tractorforstorageandremovingthetractorfromstorage,
addingorremovingballast,connectinganddisconnect-
ingmountedortowedequipment,raisingandlowering
componentsintooroutofworkposition,adjustingtractor
settingsforspeciceldorcropsettings,etc.
Routineserviceandmaintenancearethoseactionswhich
mustbeperformeddailytomaintainpropertractorfunc-
tionbyanowner/operatorwhoisfamiliarwithtractorchar-
acteristics,andwhoiscomplyingwiththeinformationon
routineserviceandsafepracticesinthismanualandin
thedecalsonthetractor.
Routineserviceandmaintenanceincludessuchactions
asfueling,cleaning,washing,toppingoffuidlevels,
greasing,andreplacingconsumablearticlessuchas
lampbulbs.
Periodicserviceandmaintenancearethoseactions
whichmustbeperformedatregularlydenedintervals
tomaintainpropertractorfunctionbyanowner/operator
whoisfamiliarwithtractorcharacteristics,andwhois
complyingwiththeinformationonperiodicserviceand
safepracticesinthismanualandinthedecalsonthe
tractor.
Periodicserviceandmaintenanceincludessuchactions
aschecking,cleaningandchangingairlters,changing
engineoilandlters,changingtransmissionoilandl-
ters,changingfrontaxleandwheelhubuids,changing
coolant,etc.
Someactionsintheperiodicserviceandmaintenance
chartarebeyondtheknowledgeandskillsoftheowner/
operator:forexample,enginevalveadjustment,fuelin-
jectornozzles.Fortheseactions,themanualinstructs
theowner/operatortohavetheactionperformedbytheir

Thismanualdoesnotcontainalltheinformationrelated
toperiodicalserviceandmaintenance,convertingandre-
pairstobecarriedoutbyprofessionalservicepersonnel.
Theseactionsrequirespecialfacilities,technicalskills,
and/ortoolswhicharenotsuppliedwiththemachine.
