machinesmustbeawareofaccumulationsoforganicdebrisand/ormaterialandoverall
machinecleanliness.
Modiedmachinesrequireadditionalandmorefrequentinspectionandcleaningduring
usage.Themachinemayrequireinspectionandcleaningmultipletimesperday
duringusage.Operatorsmustbeawareoftheoperatingenvironmentandconditions.
Operatorsmusttakeappropriateactionstomaintainthemachinesduringuse.In
particular,payattentiontothefollowingmachineareas:

draulicuidmaycauseskincancer.
Avoidlongtermcontactandwashthe
skinpromptlywithsoapandwater.
Keepclearofmovingparts.Looseclothing,
jewelry,watches,longhair,andotherloose
orhangingitemscanbecomeentangledin
movingparts.
Wearprotectiveequipmentwhenappropri-
ate.
Donotattempttoremovematerialfromany
partofthemachinewhileitisbeingoper-
atedorwhilecomponentsareinmotion.
Makesurethatallguardsandshieldsare
ingoodconditionandproperlyinstalledbe-
foreyouoperatethemachine.Neveroper-
atethemachinewithshieldsremoved.Al-
wayscloseaccessdoorsorpanelsbefore
youoperatethemachine.
Dirtyorslipperysteps,ladders,walkways,
andplatformscancausefalls.Makesure
thesesurfacesremaincleanandclearof
debris.
Apersonorpetwithintheoperatingarea
ofamachinecanbestruckorcrushedby
themachineoritsequipment.Donotallow
anyonetoentertheworkarea.
Raisedequipmentand/orloadscanfallun-
expectedlyandcrushpersonsunderneath.
Neverallowanyonetoentertheareaun-
derneathraisedequipmentduringopera-
tion.
Neveroperatetheengineinenclosed
spacesasharmfulexhaustgasesmay
buildup.
Beforeyoustartthemachine,besurethat
allcontrolsareinneutralorparklockposi-
tion.
Starttheengineonlyfromtheoperator’s
seat.Ifyoubypassthesafetystartswitch,
theenginecanstartwiththetransmission
ingear.Donotconnectorshortacross
terminalsonthestartersolenoid.Attach
jumpercablesasdescribedinthemanual.
Startingingearmaycausedeathorserious
injury.
Alwayskeepmirrors,alllighting,and
Slow-MovingVehicle(SMV)emblemclean
toprovidethebestpossiblevisibilitywhile
youoperatethemachine.
Operatecontrolsonlywhenseatedinthe
operator’sseat,exceptforthosecontrols

5.Turnofftheengineandremovethekey.
When,duetoexceptionalcircumstances,
youwoulddecidetokeeptheengine
runningafteryouleavetheoperator’s
station,thenyoumustfollowthese
precautions:
1.Bringtheenginetolowidlespeed.
2.Disengagealldrivesystems.
3.WARNING
Somecomponentsmaycontinue
torundownafteryoudisengage
drivesystems.
Makesurealldrivesystemsare
fullydisengaged.
Failuretocomplycouldresultin

supported.
Jackorliftthemachineonlyatjackorlift
pointsindicatedinthismanual.
Incorrecttowingprocedurescancauseac-
cidents.Whenyoutowadisabledmachine
followtheprocedureinthismanual.Use
onlyrigidtowbars.
Stoptheengine,removethekey,andre-
lievepressurebeforeyouconnectordis-
connectuidlines.
Stoptheengineandremovethekeybefore
