I. NORME IMPORTANTI PER LA SICUREZZA
Il presente apparecchio è un ltro con funzione di sterilizzatore mediante lampada a raggi UV-C per impiego in laghetti
ornamentali esterni d’acqua dolce, e acquari di acqua dolce o salata per uso interno. Qualsiasi altro uso non è ammesso
e conseguentemente non è coperto dalla responsabilità del costruttore. Il ltro PURE LIGHT UV-C è conforme alle norme di
sicurezza vigenti nella UE EN 60335-2-109.
ATTENZIONE: il presente simbolo riportato sull’etichetta del prodotto indica che è necessario leggere attentamente questo
manuale di istruzioni operative prima di mettere in funzione, usare e manutenere l’apparecchio.
Onde evitare qualsiasi tipo di infortunio osservare scrupolosamente, oltre alle più elementari disposizioni di sicurezza, le
seguenti avvertenze:
1) ATTENZIONE:L’apparecchiopuòessereutilizzatodabambinidietànoninferirea8anniedapersone
con ridotte capacita fisiche, sensoriali o mentali, o prive di esperienza o della necessaria conoscenza,
purché sotto sorveglianza oppure dopo che le stesse abbiano ricevuto istruzioni relative all’uso sicuro
dell’apparecchio e alla comprensione dei pericoli ad esso inerenti. I bambini non devono giocare con
l’apparecchio perchè questo non è un giocattolo. La pulizia e la manutenzione destinata ad essere
effettuata dall’utilizzatore non deve essere effettuata da bambini senza sorveglianza.
2) ATTENZIONE: Scollegare tutti gli apparecchi elettrici sommersi presenti nel bacino (o nell’acquario)

prima di svolgere operazioni di installazione, manutenzione e montaggio o sostituzione della lampada
UV-C. Nel caso in cui la spina di connessione o la presa di corrente fossero bagnate, disinserire
l’interruttore generale prima di staccare il cavo di alimentazione;
3) Il cordone di alimentazione non può essere riparato. In caso di danneggiamento, scartare l'intero
apparecchio oppure provvedere alla sua sostituzione utilizzando un cavo identico. OPERAZIONE
ESEGUIBILE SOLO DA PERSONALE QUALIFICATO.
4) L’apparecchio deve essere protetto a monte da uno speciale interruttore differenziale (salvavita) con
corrente di intervento massima di 30mA. Idn≤30mA.
5)ATTENZIONE:questiapparecchicontengonounemettitorediraggiUV-C,iqualipossonodanneggiare
gliocchielacute.Usiimproprioildanneggiamentodelloroinvolucropossonoprovocarelafuoriuscitadi
radiazioni UV-C pericolose. Se chiaramente danneggiati, gli apparecchi non devono essere usati.
6) ATTENZIONE: è vietato utilizzare la lampada UV-C all’esterno dell’apparecchio.
7)Vericare che il voltaggio riportato sull’etichetta dell’apparecchio corrisponda alla tensione di rete;
8) Prima di collegare l’apparecchio alla rete controllare che il cavo e l’apparecchio non risultino in qualche modo danneggiati.
9) Il cavo di alimentazione dell’apparecchio deve formare un’opportuna ansa, rivolta verso il basso (DRIP LOOP - Fig. 4), per
evitare che l’eventuale acqua di scorrimento possa raggiungere la presa stessa.
10) Se utilizzato all’esterno non sotterrare il cavo di alimentazione, ma seguire le regole di installazione previste dalle norme
locali vigenti consultando un installatore elettrico qualicato.
11) Durante l’installazione dell’apparecchio evitare di sollevarlo tramite il cavo di alimentazione.
12) Prima di mettere in funzione l’apparecchio controllare che l’installazione sia corretta.
13) Non eettuare mai modiche tecniche all’apparecchio ed utilizzare solo parti di ricambio ed accessori originali.
14)ATTENZIONE:Evitarel’irradiazionesolarediretta.Nonutilizzareotenerel’apparecchioin unazonaarischiogelo.Nelperiodo
invernale è comunque opportuno rimuovere, svuotare e sistemare l’apparecchio in modo protetto.
15) L’apparecchio non deve funzionare a secco. Si raccomanda di non convogliare liquidi corrosivi, abrasivi, facilmente
inammabili, aggressivi o esplosivi e nemmeno acqua potabile.
16) ATTENZIONE: non guardare mai direttamente la lampada UV-C quando è accesa.
17) ATTENZIONE: questi apparecchi contengono vetro. Maneggiare con la dovuta cautela.
18) ATTENZIONE: Non collegare mai i ltri alla rete idrica pubblica.
19)ATTENZIONE:questi ltriUV-Cnondevonofunzionareimmersiin acqua. Qualoradovesseroaccidentalmentecadervi,prima
di recuperarli, staccare le spine dalle prese di alimentazione. Applicare gli stessi accorgimenti nel caso in cui si notino parti
esterne dell’apparecchio bagnate.
20) Nell’uso all’esterno collocare e ssare stabilmente il ltro vicino al bordo del laghetto accertandosi di sistemarlo in modo
chenon possanirein acquaneppureaccidentalmenteeche lazona dovesi posizionalo stessonon siasoggetta ad allagamento
o tracimazione. In base alla norma internazionale IEC 60364-7-702 la distanza minima di sicurezza dell’apparecchio dall’acqua
deve essere di 2 mt. CONSERVARE CON CURA QUESTE ISTRUZIONI!
II. SPECIFICHE DEL PRODOTTO

III. INSTALLAZIONE
Il ltro PURE LIGHT UV-C può essere usato sia come unico sistema ltrante per veicolare e ltrare l’acqua proveniente da una
pompa, sia in combinazione con altri ltri a pressione o a caduta di tipo meccanico o biologico quali sono i ltri PREXO, PURO e
PRATICOdella linea NEWA Pond(Fig.4-5 pag.5). In tal caso,per conoscerelemodalità diassemblaggio edinstallazione del ltro
PURE LIGHT UV-C, riferirsi ai libretti d’istruzione dei rispettivi articoli sovra elencati.
ATTENZIONE:
• Il ltro non deve essere immerso in acqua (Fig. 6 pag. 5).
•Il ltronon puòfunzionareaseccoma deveesserecollegatoad unapompa. Al nedidenirequale sialapompa piùopportuna
al proprio scopo, si raccomanda di seguire le indicazioni presenti sulla tabella descrittiva (Fig. 3 pag. 4).
•Per garantireun funzionamentocorretto,installare l’apparecchioSOLONELLE POSIZIONI CONSENTITE(Fig.7 pag.5).
Prima di procedere all’installazione del ltro PURE LIGHT UV-C, si raccomanda di:
•Inserire la lampadaUV-Cpresenteindotazione seguendole indicazionirelativealla sostituzione dellalampada (vedipar.Vapag.10).
• Dotarsi di un tubo corrugato del diametro desiderato, considerando che i portagomma in dotazione consentono il montaggio
di tubi da 13 mm, 20 mm o 25 mm. Si raccomanda anche di alloggiare il ltro PURE LIGHT UV-C ad una distanza minima di 2 mt
dal bordo del laghetto e di dividere il tubo corrugato in 2 spezzoni di uguale lunghezza.
III.a ASSEMBLAGGIO DELLA RACCORDERIA
1.(POMPA-->FILTROUV-C):
i.Tagliare i portagomma a seconda del diametro del tubo utilizzato (Fig. 8 pag. 6) ed inserirli nella rispettiva ghiera a vite.
ii. Allacciare un estremità di uno dei 2 spezzoni del tubo corrugato all’uscita della pompa destinata ad essere immersa
nel laghetto.
iii.Collegarel’altraestremitàdellostessotubocorrugatoadunodeidueportagommaprecedentementetagliatiedassemblati,
premendo no a far aderire il tubo alla base del porta gomma. Assicurare il tutto con una fascetta stringi tubo con vite.
iv. Montare la guarnizione all’interno della ghiera del portagomma, assicurandosi che aderisca al fondo della ghiera stessa.
v.Avvitareilportagommacosiassemblatoaduno deiraccordia vite presentisul corpo delltroPURELIGHTUV-C(Fig.9pag.6).
2.(FILTROUV-C-->POMPALAGHETTO)
i. Unire il secondo portagomma, precedentemente tagliato ed assemblato come sopra, ad un’estremità libera di un secondo
spezzoneditubo corrugato,premendono afaraderireil tuboalla basedelportagomma. Assicurareiltuttoconuna fascetta
stringi tubo con vite;
ii. Montare la guarnizione all’interno della ghiera del portagomma, assicurandosi che aderisca al fondo della ghiera stessa;
iii. Avvitare ilportagommacosi assemblato alraccordo avite libero presentesul corpodel ltroPURE LIGHTUV-C(Fig.9 pag.6).
iv. Immergere nel laghetto l’estremità del tubo corrugato rimasta libera.
III.b FISSAGGIO DEL FILTRO AD UN SUPPORTO FISSO
PURELIGHT UV-Cè dotato dispecici fermiricavatisul corpo delltro che consentonoun sicuroancoraggioa qualsiasisupercie
(Fig. 10 pag. 6).
A tal proposito procedere nel modo seguente:
i. Identicare il supporto più idoneo a tal scopo come una piastra di metallo, pietra, ceramica o legno;
ii. Appoggiare il ltro UV-C sul supporto ed identicare i punti in corrispondenza dei fermi ricavati sul corpo del ltro,
evidenziandoli con una matita.
iii. Forare il supporto e ssarvi il ltro UV-C.
Si raccomanda di collocare il ltro in modo che non possa nire in acqua neppure accidentalmente, che la zona dove si posiziona
lo stesso non sia soggetta ad allagamento o tracimazione e che sia mantenuta una distanza minima di 2 mt tra il punto di
collocazione del ltro ed il bordo del laghetto.
IV. FUNZIONAMENTO
IV.a ACCENSIONE/SPEGNIMENTO DEL DISPOSITIVO
Dopo aver ancorato il ltro su di un fondo stabile o su un supporto sso come indicato nel punto precedente, è possibile

provvedere alla sua accensione. A tal ne, procedere come segue:
i. Assicurarsi che tutte le prese elettriche rispettino le regole d’installazione previste dalle norme locali vigenti.
ii. Inserire la spina della pompa, precedentemente sommersa nel laghetto, nella presa elettrica: questa entrerà
immediatamente in funzione.
iii. Inserire la spina del ltro UV-C nella presa elettrica: questa entrerà immediatamente in funzione.
iv. Il corretto funzionamento della lampada UV-C è visibile grazie ai portagomma trasparenti, che risulteranno illuminati da
una luce azzurra. Se così non fosse, si prega di riferirsi al capitolo VI-PROBLEMI ESOLUZIONI
PerspegnereilltroPURELIGHTUV-Cèsucientestaccarelaspinadialimentazionedallapresaagendosullastessa.Siraccomanda
di non eettuare tale operazione agendo sul cavo di alimentazione, questo per evitare un eventuale danneggiamento.
V. MANUTENZIONE
ATTENZIONE: Il ltro PURE LIGHT UV-C è dotato di un dispositivo di sicurezza che spegne la lampada automaticamente, in caso di
accidentale apertura della testa del ltro senza aver preventivamente scollegato l’apparecchio alla presa elettrica. Questo dispositivo è
attivato da unperno posizionatoalla base delcorpo delltro (Fig.11 pag. 6). Siraccomanda diprestare la massimaattenzione durante
leoperazioni di manutenzioneper evitarneil danneggiamentoche comporterebbela necessariasostituzione dell’interoltro.
ATTENZIONE:Primadi eseguirequalsiasi manutenzionesull’apparecchioèobbligatoriostaccarelaspinadello stessodallapresa
di corrente.
Perunaresa ottimaledel ltrosi consiglia di sostituirela lampada ogni5000-6000 orecirca, corrispondentead una stagione per
l’uso nei laghetti ed a 8-10 mesi per l’uso negli acquari.
V.a MONTAGGIO/SOSTITUZIONE DELLA LAMPADA UV-C:
Per una corretta operazione si raccomanda di seguire scrupolosamente le seguenti istruzioni:
1. Spegnere il ltro PURE LIGHT UV-C staccando la spina di alimentazione dalla rispettiva presa.
2.Tenerepremutosul pulsantedisblocco(8) efar ruotarelatestadel ltro(9)in senso antiorario,dimodo chela frecciapresente
sul pulsante di sblocco possa passare dalla posizione combaciante con l’immagine del lucchetto chiuso a quella con il lucchetto
aperto (Fig. 12 pag. 6).
3. Estrarre la testa del ltro (9) dal corpo del ltro (1).
4. Rimuovere la vite di sicurezza (7) e svitare la ghiera di ssaggio (6) (Fig. 13 pag. 6).
5. Estrarre con cautela la provetta in quarzo (2) dalla propria sede.
6.Estrarrela lampadaUV-C (3) dal proprioimballoed inserirlanel portalampada praticandouna leggerapressioneno asentire
un“click”, che ne attesta il corretto alloggiamento (Fig. 14 pag. 6).
ATTENZIONE: in ambito di sostituzione di una nuova lampada UV-C a quella precedentemente montata durante la prima
installazione, il supporto plastico nella confezione della nuova lampada è da scartare, in quanto non destinato al ltro PURE
LIGHT UV-C.
ATTENZIONE: controllare lo stato della guarnizione o-ring della provetta in quarzo (4). Nel caso di una ridotta elasticità,
appiattimento o rottura, provvedere alla sua sostituzione slandola dalla sede facendola scorrere per tutta la lunghezza della
provettain quarzo.Riposizionare una nuovaguarnizione procedendoinsenso inverso(Fig. 15 pag.6). Siraccomandal’uso di soli
ricambi originali in quanto, per i particolari materiali usati, questi garantiscono un funzionamento sicuro e duraturo nel tempo.
7. Appoggiando la testa del ltro su di un supporto piano, rimontare la provetta in quarzo (2) nella propria sede e riavvitare la
ghiera di ssaggio (6) no a ne corsa (battuta del dente presente sulla ghiera di ssaggio (6) contro sede della vite di sicurezza
posizionata sulla testa del ltro) (Fig. 16 pag. 6).
8. Riavvitare la vite di sicurezza (7) (Fig. 17 pag. 6).
9. Inserire la testa del ltro (9) nel corpo del ltro (1) in modo che la freccia presente sul pulsante di sblocco (8) combaci con
l’immagine del lucchetto aperto (Fig. 18 pag. 6).
10. Agendo sulla testa del ltro (9), ruotarlo in senso orario no a far combaciare la freccia presente sul pulsante di sblocco
all’immagine del lucchetto chiuso.
11. Ricollegare il ltro PURE LIGHT UV-C alla presa elettrica.
V.b PULIZIA DELLA PROVETTA IN QUARZO:
Per una corretta operazione si raccomanda di seguire scrupolosamente le seguenti istruzioni:

1.Seguireleindicazioni dal punto1 alpunto 3 del precedenteparagrafo Va-MONTAGGIO/SOSTITUZIONEDELLA LAMPADAUV-C.
2. Appoggiando la testa del ltro (9) su di un supporto piano, pulire la provetta in quarzo (2) con un detergente per vetri non
aggressivo.
ATTENZIONE: al ne di evitare il danneggiamento della provetta in quarzo, si raccomanda di non usare oggetti o supporti per
la pulizia che possano strisciare o rompere la provetta. Si consiglia altresì di prestare la massima attenzione durante la fase di
manipolazione della provetta che potrebbe rompersi causando lesioni da taglio.
3.RimontareilltroPURELIGHTUV-Cseguendoleindicazionidalpunto9alpunto11delprecedenteparagrafoVa-MONTAGGIO/
SOSTITUZIONEDELLA LAMPADAUV-C.
V.c SOSTITUZIONE DELLA GUARNIZIONE O-RING DELLATESTA DEL FILTRO:
Per una corretta operazione si raccomanda di seguire scrupolosamente le seguenti istruzioni:
1. Seguire leindicazionidal punto1al punto3 delprecedenteparagrafoVa-MONTAGGIO/SOSTITUZIONEDELLALAMPADAUV-C.
2. Rimuovere la guarnizione o-ring della testa del ltro (10) facendola scorrere prima sopra la ghiera di ssaggio e poi sulla
provettain quarzo. Sostituirla con unanuovaprocedendoinsenso inverso. Siraccomandal’uso di soliricambi originaliin quanto,
per i particolari materiali usati, questi garantiscono un funzionamento sicuro e duraturo nel tempo.
3.RimontareilltroPURELIGHTUV-Cseguendoleindicazionidalpunto9alpunto11delprecedenteparagrafoVa-MONTAGGIO/
SOSTITUZIONEDELLA LAMPADAUV-C.
VI. PROBLEMI E SOLUZIONI
Se l’installazione è stata eseguita in modo corretto e gli accessori elettrici funzionano regolarmente, molto dicilmente
potranno comparire problemi tecnici. Nel caso vi fossero, consultare un installatore qualicato di materiale elettrico o rivolgersi
al rivenditore di prodotti per acquari per l’attuazione di un accurato controllo o per la sostituzione dell’acquario.

entro questo termine dalla data d’acquisto, restituirlo al rivenditore di zona. L’apparecchio verrà sostituito senza alcun costo
aggiunto. Per il servizio di garanzia ritornare l’apparecchio allegando la prova d’acquisto e una dettagliata motivazione del

I. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The present appliance is a lter with the function of sterilization by means of short-wave ultraviolet radiation lamp UV-C,
intended for outdoor use in freshwater decorative ponds and indoor use in freshwater or salt water aquariums. Any other use
is not permitted and therefore the manufacturer shall not be held liable. PURE LIGHT UV-C complies with current EU safety
regulations EN 60335-2-109.
WARNING: the current symbol on the product label indicates that it is necessary to carefully read this operating instruction
manual before operating, using and carrying out maintenance on the appliance.
To avoid any kind of accident, carefully follow the simplest safety provisions and the following warnings:
1) WARNING: this appliance cannot be used by children under eight or persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instructions concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the risks
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance because this is not a toy. Cleaning and maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision.
2) WARNING: disconnect all submerged electrical appliances in the pond (or in the aquarium) before
carrying out installation and maintenance operations. If the connection plug or the electric socket
should be wet, disconnect the master switch before pulling out the power supply cable.

3) The power cord cannot be repaired. If it is damaged, the entire appliance should be discarded, or the
power cord should be replaced by a cord of the same kind. BUT THIS OPERATION MUST BE PERFORMED
BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL ONLY.
4) This appliance must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual
current not exceeding 30mA (Idn ≤ 30 mA).
5) WARNING:
this appliance contains an emitter with UV-C rays, which may damage the eyes and skin.
Improper use or damage to their protective casing may cause harmful UV-C radiation to leak out. If
clearly damaged, the appliances must not be used.
6) WARNING: it is prohibited to use the UV-C lamp on the outside of the appliance.
7) Check that the voltage given on the appliance label corresponds to the mains voltage.
8) Before connecting the appliance to the mains, check that the cable and the appliance are not damaged in any way.
9)Theappliancepowersupplycable must formanappropriateloop,facingdownwards(DRIPLOOP-Fig.4),topreventanyruno
water from coming into contact with the socket itself.
10) Do not place the supply cable underground, but follow the installation instructions prescribed by the local regulations in
force, and consult a qualied installer and electrician.
11)When installing the appliance, do not use the supply cable to lift it.
12) Before starting up the appliance, check that it has been correctly installed.
13) Do not make any technical alterations to the appliance. Use only original spare parts and accessories.
14) WARNING: avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Do not use or keep the appliance in an area subject to freezing. In winter, it is
necessary to remove, empty and position the appliance so that it is protected.
15)The appliance must not be operated dry. Do not use this appliance for ltering caustic, abrasive, inammable, aggressive or
explosive liquids, and even drinking water.
16) WARNING: never look directly at the UV-C lamp when it is switched on.
17) WARNING: these appliances contain glass. Handle with due care.
18) WARNING: never connect the lters to the public water supply network.
19)WARNING:theseUV-Cltersmustnotoperateimmersedinwater.Iftheyshouldaccidentallyfallintoit,beforerecoveringthem,
disconnect theplugs fromthe powersupply socket.Takethe samecare ifyou shouldnotice thatany parts ofthe appliance arewet.

from water should be 2 m, according to international standard IEC 60364-7-702.

III. INSTALLATION
The PURE LIGHT UV-C lter can be used as an independent ltering system for transmission and ltering of water coming from
the pump, and in a combination with other pressure and pressureless lters of mechanical or biological type, such as PREXO,
PURO and PRATICO from NEWA Pond line of lters (Fig. 4-5 page 5). In this case, refer to instructions for use of the above-
mentioned appliances for assembling and installation of PURE LIGHT UV-C lter.
WARNING:
•The lter must not be immersed into water (Fig. 6 page 5)
•The lter cannot function under dry conditions, but it must be connected to a pump. To determine which is the most suitable
pump for your intended purpose, follow the application table (Fig. 3 page 4).
• To ensure proper functioning, install the device ONLY IN THE ALLOWED POSITIONS (Fig. 7 page 5).
Prior to installation of PURE LIGHT UV-C lter, it is recommended to:
•Insert the UV-Clamp,included intothe package,following the instructions on thelamp replacement(see paragraphVa, page 16).
• Take a corrugated hose with the desired diameter, taking into account that the adaptors supplied in the package allow
assembling hoses with diameter of 13 mm, 20 mm or 25 mm. It is also recommended to place PURE LIGHT UV-C lter at the
minimum distance of 2 m from the pond edge and to divide the corrugated hose into 2 parts of the same length.
III.a ASSEMBLING OF CONNECTING PARTS
1.(PUMP -->UV-C FILTER):
i.Cut theadaptors dependingon the hosediameter youuse (Fig.8 page6) and insert them intothe corresponding screwring.
ii. Connect the end of one of the 2 pieces of the corrugated hose to the pump outlet intended for immersion into the pond.
iii.Connect the otherend ofthe same corrugatedhose toone of the2 adaptors,previouslycut- andinstalled, pressingit until
the hose adjoins the adaptor base. Fasten all components with a screw-clamp
iv. Install a gasket into the adaptor nut, ensuring it adjoins the bottom of the same nut.
v. Screw the assembled adaptor to one of screw nozzles located on the PURE LIGHT UV-C lter body (Fig. 9page 6).
2.(UV-C FILTER--> PONDPUMP)
i. Connect the other adaptor previously cut and installed as mentioned above, to a free end of a second piece of corrugated
hose, pressing it until the hose adjoins the adaptor base. Fasten all components with a screw-clamp.
ii. Install a gasket into the adaptor screw ring, ensuring it adjoins the bottom of the same nut.
iii. Screw on the assembled tip to one of screw nozzles located on the canister of PURE LIGHT UV-C lter (Fig. 9 page6).
iv. Immerse the free end of the corrugated hose into the pond.
III.b FIXATION OF FILTER TO FIXED SUPPORT
The PURE LIGHT UV-C lter is equipped with special xing devices located on the lter body ensuring secure mounting to any
surface (Fig. 10 page 6)
To do this, follow these instructions:
i. Choose a support, the most appropriate for this purpose, such as metal, stone, ceramic or wooden plate.
ii. Put the UV-C lter on the support, search the points next to the hooks on the lter body and mark them with a pencil
iii. Drill holes in the support and x the UV-C lter.
It is recommended toinstall the lterin such amanner that itcannot get into the water accidentally, make surethe area,where itis
installed,is notsubjectto ooding, andthat thedistance betweenthe lterinstallation pointand thepond edge isminimum 2 m.
IV. PERFORMANCE
IV.a SWITCHING ON/OFF
After the lter is xed on a stable base or xed support, as described above, it can be switched on. For this purpose, follow the
instructions below:
i. Make sure that all electrical sockets comply with the applicable local standards.
ii. Insert the plug of the pump, previously immersed into the pond, into the socket: it will start working immediately.

iii. Insert the plug of the UV-C lter into the socket: it will start working immediately.
iv. Proper functioning of the UV-C lter is demonstrated by blue light on the transparent adaptor. Otherwise, refer to section
VI– TROUBLESHOOTING.
ToswitchPURELIGHTUV-Cltero,simplydisconnecttheplugfromthesocket. Donotpullthepowercordtoavoiditspossibledamage.
V. MAINTENANCE
WARNING:The PURE LIGHT UV-C lter is equipped with a protective device that automatically switches the lamp o if the lter
head is accidentally opened without disconnecting it from the socket.The device is activated by means of a pivot located on the
lter body basis (Fig. 11 page 6). It is recommended to pay utmost attention when performing maintenance, to avoid damages
which may require replacement of the entire lter.
WARNING: Prior to maintenance of the appliance, you must disconnect the plug from the socket.
To ensure optimum performance of the lter, it is recommended to replace the lamp every 5000-6000 hours, depending on the
season, when used in ponds, and every 8-10 months – when used in aquariums.
V.a ASSEMBLING / REPLACEMENT OF UV-C LAMP:
To perform this operation properly, it is recommended to carefully follow the instructions below:
1. Switch PURE LIGHT UV-C lter o, disconnecting the power cord plug from the socket.
2. Hold the unlock button (8) and turn the lter head (9) counterclockwise so that the indicator on the unlock button can move
from the closed lock to the open lock position (Fig. 12 page 6).
3. Remove the lter head (9) from the lter body (1).
4. Remove the safety screw (7) and unscrew the clamp ring (6) (Fig. 13 page 6).
5. Carefully remove the quartz tube (2) from its seat.
6.Removethe UV-Clamp(3) fromthepackage andinstall intothelamp socket,slightlypressingonit, untilyouheara click, that
conrms the proper installation (Fig. 14 page 6).
WARNING:When replacing the UV-C lamp installed during the rst installation with a new one, the plastic support provided in
the new lamp package must be removed, since it is not intended for use in PURE LIGHT UV-C lter.
WARNING:Check the condition of the quartz tube O-ring (4). In case of poor elasticity, attening or rupture, replace it, taking it
out from the seat and slipping it along the entire length of the quartz tube. Install a new O-ring proceeding in the reverse order.
Itisrecommendedtouseonlyoriginalspareparts,becausethankstothe specialmaterialsthese partsensuresafeandlong-term
performance of the lter (Fig. 15 page 6).
7. Put the lter head on a at supporting surface, install the quartz tube (2) into its seat and fasten the clamping ring (6) up to
the stop (the tooth on the fastening nut runs against the seat of the safety screw located on the lter head) (Fig. 16 page 6).
8. Fasten the safety screw (7) (Fig. 17 page 6).
9.Insert the lter head(9) intothe lterbody (1)so that the indicatoron the unlockbutton (8)correspondsto the open lock image.
10. Turn thelter head(9) clockwise,until the indicator on the unlockbutton correspondstothe closed lockimage (Fig. 18 page 6).
11. Connect the PURE LIGHT UV-C lter to the electrical socket.
V.b QUARTZ TUBE CLEANING:
To perform this operation properly, it is recommended to carefully follow the instructions below:
1. Follow instructions in clauses 1-3 of the previous paragraph Va– ASSEMBLING/REPLACEMENTOFUV-CLAMP.
2. Put the lter head (9) on a at supporting surface, clean the quartz tube (2) with non-aggressive detergent for glass units.
WARNING: To avoid damage of the quartz tube during the cleaning operation, it is recommended to avoid using units or
supports which mayrub againstthe tube or cleaveit. It is alsorecommended to payutmost attentionwhen handlingthe quartz
tube which might get broken and cause incised wounds.
3. Assemble the PURE LIGHT UV-C lter again, following the instructions in clauses 9-11 of the previous paragraph Va –
ASSEMBLING/REPLACEMENTOFUV-CLAMP.
V.c REPLACEMENT OF FILTER HEAD O-RING:
To perform this operation properly, it is recommended to carefully follow the instructions below:
1. Follow instructions in clauses 1-3 of the previous paragraph Va– ASSEMBLING/REPLACEMENTOFUV-CLAMP.

2. Remove the lter head O-ring (10), rst sliding it on the clamping ring and then on the quartz tube. Replace the ring with
a new one, proceeding in the reverse order. It is recommended to use only original spare parts, because thanks to the special
materials these parts ensure safe and long-term performance of the lter.
3. Assemble the PURE LIGHT UV-C lter again, following the instructions in clauses 9-11 of the previous paragraph Va –
ASSEMBLING/REPLACEMENTOFUV-CLAMP.
VI. TROUBLESHOOTING
If installation has been carried out correctly and the electrical accessories are operating normally, it is unlikely that any
technical problems will arise. If they should, consult an installer specialised in electrical appliances or contact the
product dealer to make a careful check or to replace the appliance.

section V, paragraph b.
Worn-out UV-C lamp Replace the UV-C lamp, following instructions

The guaranty for the appliance covers defective materials and manufacturing defects within 3-year period from the date of
purchase (2 years specied in EC Directive 1999/44/ЕС + 1 and the following year, granted by the manufacturer). If the product

4) L’appareil doit être protégé en amont par un interrupteur différentiel spécial (disjoncteur) avec un

9) Le câble d’alimentation de l’appareil doit former une boucle tournée vers le bas (DRIP LOOP - Im. 4) pour éviter que l’eau de
ruissellement ne puisse atteindre la prise du secteur.
10)Si l’appareilest utiliséà l’extérieur,ne pasenterrerle câbled’alimentationmaissuivreles règlesd’installationprévuespar les
normes locales en vigueur et consulter un électricien qualié.
11) Durant l’installation de l’appareil, éviter de le soulever par le câble d’alimentation.

où il y a un risque de gel. Enlever et vider l’appareil en hiver et le ranger à l’abri des intempéries.
15) ’appareil ne doit pas fonctionner à sec. Il n’est pas recommandé de laisser passer à travers le ltre des liquides caustiques,
abrasifs, facilement inammables, agressifs ou explosifs et même de l’eau potable.
16) ATTENTION: ne jamais regarder directement la lampe UV-C quand elle est allumée.
17) ATTENTION: ces appareils contiennent du verre. Les manipuler avec précaution.
18) ATTENTION: ne jamais relier les ltres au réseau hydrique public.
19) ATTENTION: Ces ltres UV-C ne doivent pas être plongés dans l’eau. S’ils devaient tomber accidentellement dans l’eau,
débrancher les ches des prises de courant avant de les récupérer. Prendre les mêmes précautions si la partie externe de
l’appareil est mouillée.
20) Utilisant l’appareil en dehors des locaux il faut installer et bien xer le ltre au bout d’un étang, et s’assurer qu’il est xé
d’une manière de ne pas se trouver dans l’eau même occasionnellement et que la zone de son placement n’est pas soumise aux
inondations. Conformément aux normes internationales MEK 60364-7-702 la distance minimale sûre de l’appareil jusqu’à l’eau
est 2 mètres conformément aux normes internationales.
