WELCOME
You just bought a NIXON watch. How about
that. Welcome to the NIXON side, a side
that’s about custom-built product, quality, and
durability. We’re stoked you selected one of our
watches. The fact that you bought a NIXON
means you can probably tell time, but you
may not be familiar with all the doo-dads and
features of our watches. So if you’re stuck,
read through these instructions. Or get your
friends to read them and then they can tell
you what’s up.

5
*RINSE WATCH WITH SOAP AND WATER AFTER
EXPOSURE TO SALT WATER OR SAND.
Replace the battery at least every two years. Dead or low batteries
left in a watch may leak and destroy the movement of your watch.
If you have a water resistant watch, know that the water resistance
is attained using rubber or plastic seals which will deteriorate
under normal conditions and reduce the water resistance of your
watch. These seals should be checked by an authorized jeweler at
least every two years to ensure the rated water resistancy. Do not
expose your watch to extreme temperatures (over 60ºC or 140ºF,
under -10ºC or 14ºF). No hot tubs or saunas. Sorry, but do you
really need to know the time when you’re tubbing?
Avoid extreme shocks.

ABOUT THE DELTA DIRECT DIAL:
The Bezel of your new Delta is part of a patent pending
technology. This bezel, when rotated , will bring you to
different operating Functions or “worlds” of the watch.
We’ve done this to make the watch easier to use by putting
the control in the hands of the user rather than relying on
the watch controlling you!
By rotating it to the following Worlds: TIME, RIDE,
COMPASS, or SPEED the watch will have specific functions
that it will calculate and/or show you on the display. And
once you are in those worlds there are only a limited
number of MODEs to scroll through in order to keep you in
the know. In addition, even if you are recording your Runs
in RIDE World, you can rotate the Direct Dial Bezel to any
other world and the watch will continue to record your data
. And lastly, time is always shown on the display no matter
what world is currently active. Wow.

In RIDE WORLD you will choose your specific Terrain
and Track your Runs and Vertical Descents
and Ascents for the day.
The watch is pre-tuned with different Sampling Rates*
in order to optimize the recording of data and records
display depending on the different terrain options.
Your Vertical will be in the Units selected in TIME Setting.
*Sample Rate is the number of measurements saved
per second taken from a continuous signal. Basically,
depending on the Sampling Rate, the watch will
‘record’ your altitude so that at the end of your Runs
Tracking, it will have a bunch of altitude points in order
to create a graphical representation of your
vertical movement on the mountain throughout the day.
Default Screen will be PARK
