A suspension package, which includes a mast and retracting tool balancer,
bears the weight of the handgun and hose and allows a wide range of
operator movement. The handgun assembly easily swings both left/right
and in/out on the pivoting arm, relative to the operator’s position. This
weight-support design and ergonomic configuration help reduce worker
fatigue and physical stress in bench-top gluing applications, such as those
involving automotive panels, appliance panels, and furniture.

Performance
A light-touch trigger activates an air valve in the handgun handle, providing
instant material flow. The ball and seat design assures clean cutoff at the
nozzle.
Design Flexibility
FP900 adhesive dispensing modules permit exceptional control of swirl
density without overspray. FP900 handguns can easily be converted from
swirl to extrusion application. Refer to Parts for swirl nozzle adapter kits and
for extrusion nozzle kits.
FP900 handguns have an auxiliary guide handle that permits two-handed
use for further control. The auxiliary guide handle can be positioned for
either left- or right-handed use. The module can be positioned to apply
material either vertically or horizontally.
An air supply line connects to FP900 handguns through an air pressure
regulator, eliminating the need for an air control kit.

Nozzle Selection
Swirl nozzles are single-piece assemblies consisting of a retainer nut and a
wide pattern swirl disk. The swirl nozzle’s recessed tip protects the nozzle
from damage that can be caused by tools or by dropping the nozzle. The
swirl nozzle is easier to clean but can be damaged if it is installed
incorrectly.
Extrusion nozzles provide for the direct application of material without
atomization of the material.
Factors that determine nozzle size include:
SMaterial viscosity
SApplication deposition
SPattern width
Wide pattern swirl and extrusion nozzles are available in 0.035 in., 0.040 in.,
0.049 in., and 0.055 in. orifice sizes.
