WARNINGSANDSAFETYRULES
1.Wear proper clothing.Alwaysuse ANSI-approvedsafetyimpactgoggles when
assembling or using thistool.Wearlong sleeved shirts, longpantsand hard-toed shoes.
Take offanyloosefitting jewelryand keep long hair coveredto preventbeing caught in
moving parts.
2.Keep work area clean and well lighted.A dimand/or cluttered work area invites
personal injury.
3.Keep children and pets awayfromworkareas.Childrencan be adistraction and should
be supervised by an adult when near theworkarea.Neverallowchildren to play with
thisproduct even ifit isturnedoff.
4.Store idletoolsproperly. Keep this tool outof thereach of children.
5.Donot use thewrench if under theinfluence of alcohol or prescriptiondrugs,or ifyou
aretired.Doing so may cause damage to thetool,or personal injury.Do not usethis or
anytoolif you aretired.Use commonsenseat alltimes.
6.Alwaysuse the proper tools.This tool was designedfora specific task. Donot alter this
tool,or use itfora purpose for which it wasnot intended.
7.Becarefulwhenconnecting/disconnecting air supply.It isrecommended to use quick
disconnects (not included)ratherthan screw-onair connections.
8.Usecompressedair only.Clean,dry,regulated compressedair at90 PSI. Never use
oxygen, carbon dioxide,combustible gases,or any other bottled gas asa power source
forthis tool.
9.Alwaysdisconnect airsupply whenthis tool isnot being used.

ASSEMBLY
You AirRatchet Wrenchcomes completelyassembled. For information on parts, please
refer toparts list & diagramon this manual.
AirConnection
1.Removethe plastic capfrom the rearof the motorhousing. The capis attached tothe
connection head.
2.Youwill need aunion fitting (notincluded) beforeyou can connectyour Air Ratchet
Wrench toan air compressor. Attach theUnion fitting tothe motor housing.Tighten
the fitting.
3.Attach anAir coupler (notincluded) to theunion fitting itdesired. This isa useful
accessory as it allows quick-coupling actionwhen using avariety of tools with the
same air compressor. YourAir Ratchet Wrench is nowready for use.
SETUP
NOTE:If you arenot using anautomatic oiler system, before operation,add a few
drops of PneumaticTool Oilto the airlineconnection. Add afew dropsmore after
hour of continualuse.
OPERATION
1.Select thedesired socket. Attach the socketto the RatchetAnvil.
2.Set thecompressor's pressure regulatorto 90 PSI.Do not setthe compressor's
outlet regulator to over90 PSI. Connectthe compressor hoseto the AirRatchet
wrench at theair inlet atthe back ofthe tool. Ifany leaking isdetected, disconnect
the air hoseand haveit repaired priorto use.
3.Youcan check thedirection of thedrive bypressing the Reverse Button (#39).
To changethe direction ofthe drive, turntowards Rfor reverseand F forforward.
(Tighten or Loosen).
4.Place thesocket overthe nut totighten or loosen.Grip the airratchet firmly.Press
the trigger toturn the nut.When tightening anut, begin bythreading the nuton as far
as you canby hand.
5.When thenut is inplace, tightened orremoved, stopthe Air Ratchetwrench by
releasing the trigger. Removethe nut fromthe socketif needed. Turn off the
compressor then remove the AirRatchet wrench connectionfrom the compressor.
6.When tightening:check the recommendedtorque specificationfor the nut.You
should use atorque wrenchto torquethe nut afterusing the AirRatchet Wrench.
WARNING
If the airratchet wrench cannot loosen anut, or ifit stalls whentightening the nut,do
not raise theoutlet pressure ofthe air compressor. Do notcontinue attempts to loosen
with the airratchet wrench. Useappropriate toolsand methods toloosen the nut.

MAINTENANCE
Your AirRatchet Wrench isbest operated withan airline oiler. If youare using thistool
without an airlineoiler, follow stepsbelow:
1.Disconnect theAir Ratchet fromthe air hose.
2.Apply afew dropsof Pneumatic Tool Oil throughthe air linebefore each use,or every
hour if usedcontinuously.
3.Apply afew dropsof oil tothe Roll Pin.Squeeze the triggera fewtimes to lubricate.
