Youwill need thismanual for thesafety warnings andprecautions, assembly, operating,
inspection, maintenance andcleaning procedures, partslist and assemblydiagram. Keep
this manual andinvoice in asafe and dryplace for futurereference.
WARNINGSAND SAFETYRULES
1.Keep workarea clean.Cluttered areas inviteinjuries.
2.Observe workarea conditions.Do not usemachines or powertools in dampor wet
locations. Don't exposeto rain. Keepwork area welllighted. Do notuse electrically
powered tools inthe presence offlammable gases orliquids.
3.Keep bystanders,pets, untrained operatorsand children away. Children must
never be allowedin the workarea. Do notlet them handlemachines, tools, extension
cords, or airhoses.
4.Store idleequipment. When not inuse, tools mustbe stored ina dry locationto inhibit
rust. Alwayslock up toolsand keep outof reach ofchildren.
5.Use theright tool forthe job.Do not attemptto force asmall tool orattachment to do
the work ofa larger industrialtool. Thereare certain applicationsfor which thistool was
designed. It willdo the jobbetter and moresafely at therate for whichit was intended.Do
not modify thistool and donot use thistool for apurpose for whichit was notintended.
6.Dress properly. Do not wearloose clothing orjewelry as theycan be caughtin moving
parts. Protective, electricallynon-conductive clothes andnon-skid footwear are
recommended when working.Wear restrictivehair covering tocontain long hair. Always
wear steel toeshoes when operatingthe AirHammer.
7.Use eyeand ear protection.Always wearANSI-approved impactsafety goggles and
ear protection. Wear a fullface shield whenbreaking up concrete.
8.Do notoverreach. Keep proper footingand balance atall times. Donot reach overor
across running machinesor air hoses.
9.Maintain toolswith care.Keep tools cleanfor better andsafer performance. Follow
instructions for lubricatingand changing accessories.Inspect tool cordsand air hoses
periodically and, ifdamaged, have themrepaired by anauthorized technician.The handle
must be keptclean, dry, and freefrom oil andgrease at alltimes.
10.Disconnect airsupply.Disconnect air hosewhen not inuse.
11.Avoid unintentional starting.Be sure thetrigger is notdepressed when carryingthe
Air Hammer.

OPERATION
SET UP
1.You will needto prepare a1/4" air connector(sold separately) toconnect to theAir Inlet.
First, wrap the1/4" air connector(not included) withpipe thread sealtape before
connecting to aAir SourceHose (not included).
2.Attach airhose to theAir Inleton theAir Hammer.Note: If youare not usingan
automatic oiler system,before operation, adda few dropsof PneumaticToolOil to the
airline connection.Add a fewdrops more aftereach hour ofcontinual use.
3.Set theair pressure onyour compressor to90 PSI. Donot exceed therecommended air
pressure of 90PSI.
4.Check theair connection forleaks.
5.Turnoff thecompressor and disconnectthe air sourcehose in preparationto load bits
into theAir Hammer.
ASSEMBLY
WARNINGAlways disconnectfrom the airsource before examiningor
changing bits.
1.Select the appropriateChisel Bit. Withyour thumb,
put counterclockwise pressureon the springand
insert the shankof the chiselbit into theCylinder.
Release the spring.Holding theAir Hammer firmly,
pull the chiselbit hard tomake sure itlocked into
place. See Fig.2.
Note: Before connectingthe air supply, make sureyou are wearingsafety goggles
and a fullface mask, earprotection, and steeltoe shoes.
WARNINGAny spectatorsin the immediatearea will needeye and ear
protection.
Beware of flyingchips of wood,concrete, metal, orany other materialbeing
chiseled.
1.Connect the airhose to theAir Inletand turn onthe compressor (notincluded).
2.Grip theAir Hammer withboth hands firmlyand put thechisel tip upagainst the
workpiece you wishto chip.
3.Gently squeeze thetrigger and moveslowly along theworkpiece. Do notpush
down on thetool; let itdo the work.If it doesnot do theintended job tosatisfaction,
examine your bitto see ifit is wornor dull.
4.When you arefinished, turn offthe air supply, hold theAir Hammera safe distance
away from yourselfand others andsqueeze the triggerto bleed offthe remaining air.
Then, disconnect theair hose.
