Lees deze gebruiksaanwijzing op uw gemak door en bewaar hem om later nog eens te kunnen
raadplegen. Controleer of de netspanning in de woning overeenkomt met die van het apparaat.
Sluit dit apparaat alleen op een geaard stopcontact aan.
De Nova Croque Star is ideaal om snel een smakelijke tosti met bijvoorbeeld kaas of ham te
maken. De antiaanbaklaag op de bakplaten voorkomt kleven en is snel weer schoon. Dankzij de
controlelampjes en automatische thermostaat is de Nova Croque Star een praktisch en makkelijk
hanteerbaar apparaat.
Wij raden u aan om voor het eerste gebruik de bakplaten met een vochtige doek te reinigen en
eventuele labels te verwijderen.
GEBRUIKSTIPS
Vet de bakplaten licht in met boter, braadvet, olie of iets dergelijks. Steek de stekker in het
stopcontact (het 'Power'-lampje gaat aan) en sluit de Nova Croque Star. Het duurt ongeveer 5
minuten voordat het apparaat opgewarmd is. Gedurende deze tijd kunt u de sandwich klaarmaken.
Zodra de bakplaten op temperatuur zijn, gaat het 'Ready'-lampje aan.
Open nu de Nova Croque Star en leg de sandwich op de gebruikelijke manier op de onderste
bakplaat: eerst een boterham, daarna het beleg en tot slot weer een boterham. Sluit de sandwich
toaster (druk de platen hierbij niet met veel kracht op elkaar) en vergrendel de bakplaten met de
clip om de handgreep. Maak de sandwiches altijd met het apparaat vergrendeld.
Bij het sluiten van de sandwich toaster kan enige stoom ontstaan. Pas op dat u zich hier niet
aan brandt. Na ongeveer 2 à 3 minuten is de sandwich klaar. Natuurlijk kan met de baktijd wat
geëxperimenteerd worden om het beste resultaat te verkrijgen.
Opmerking: gedurende het bakken gaat het 'Ready'-lampje aan en uit. Dit duidt erop dat de
thermostaat z'n werk doet en de ingestelde temperatuur telkens aanpast.
Zodra de sandwich klaar is, kunt u de sandwich toaster openen en de sandwich eruit nemen,
eventueel met behulp van een houten of kunststof spatel. Gebruik nooit metalen spatels e.d. om
beschadiging van de antiaanbaklaag te voorkomen.
Indien u nog meer sandwiches wilt maken, kunt u de sandwich toaster dichtgeklapt laten staan
zodat deze op de juiste temperatuur blijft.Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact als u het apparaat
niet meer gebruikt.
SCHOONMAKEN
HAAL EERST DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT.
Maak de sandwich toaster na ieder gebruik schoon. Dit voorkomt dat voedselresten vastkoeken.
Laat na gebruik de Nova Croque Star eerst afkoelen. Giet nooit koud water op de bakplaten. Dit
zou het apparaat beschadigen en geeft kans op spatten van heet water. Gebruik geen schurende
of agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen.
DOMPEL DE SANDWICHTOASTER NOOIT ONDER IN WATER OF EEN ANDERE VLOEISTOF.
Reinig de bakplaten met bijvoorbeeld keukenpapier. Moeilijk te verwijderen resten kunt u eerst
losweken met wat bakolie (even 5 minuten laten inweken). De buitenzijde kunt u met een vochtige
doek afnemen.

- Gebruik deze sandwich toaster alleen voor huishoudelijk gebruik.
- Zorg dat het snoer en eventueel een verlengsnoer zodanig weggelegd worden dat niemand
erover kan struikelen en dat ze de hete bakplaten niet raken.
- In verband met de veiligheid dient bij dit type apparaat een beschadigd snoer uitsluitend te
worden vervangen door onze servicedienst of een andere vakman of -vrouw.
- Gebruik deze sandwich toaster niet buitenshuis.
- Houd goed toezicht op de sandwich toaster als kinderen erbij kunnen. De bakplaten en de meta-
len buitenzijde worden immers erg heet. Wees natuurlijk zelf ook voorzichtig. Laat het apparaat
goed afkoelen voordat u het opruimt.
- Sluit de sandwich toaster alleen op een geaard stopcontact aan.
- Het apparaat is niet bedoeld om te worden bediend met een externe timer of een afzonderlijke
afstandsbediening.
- Wanneer het apparaat aanstaat, kunnen de vlakken waar u bij kunt, heet zijn.
- Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen, met inbegrip van kinderen, met ver-
minderde lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens of gebrek aan ervaring en kennis,
tenzij zij door een voor hun veiligheid verantwoordelijke persoon zijn onderricht in of begeleid
bij het gebruik van het apparaat.
- Zorg ervoor dat kinderen niet met dit apparaat spelen.

The Nova Croque Star is ideal for making quick and tasty toasted sandwiches, with ham cheese
or other ingredients.The non-stick coating on the plates prevents sticking and is easy to clean.
The indicator lights and the automatic thermostat make the Nova Croque Star a highly practical
appliance
Before using the appliance for the fist time, we recommend that you clean the plates with a damp
cloth and remove any stickers.
TIPS FOR USE
Grease the plates slightly with butter, lard, oil or something similar. Plug the plug into the electrical
socket (the ‘Power’ lamp illuminates) and close the Nova Croque Star. It will take around 5 minutes
for the appliance to heat up.You can use this time to prepare the sandwich. When the plates reach
the correct temperature, the ‘Ready’ lamp will illuminate.
Now open the Nova Croque Star and place the sandwich in the usual way on the lower plate, i.e.
first the bread, then the filling, then another piece of bread. Close the sandwich toaster (do not
press the plates against each other too vigorously) and use the clip on the handle to lock the
plates in position. Always keep the appliance closed when making sandwiches.
When the sandwich toaster is closed, some steam may be emitted.Take care this does not burn
you. After 2-3 minutes, the sandwich is ready; you can of course experiment with the cooking
time to achieve the perfect result.
Note: during cooking, the ‘Ready’ light will flicker.This is normal and shows that the thermostat is
working properly.
When the sandwich is ready, you can open the toaster and remove the sandwich, using a wooden
or plastic spatula if required. Do not use metal implements as these could damage the non-stick
coating.
If you wish to make more sandwiches, you can keep the sandwich toaster closed to keep it at the
right temperature. Always unplug the appliance when not in use.
